E un MC talentat care experimenteaza mult cu flow’ul si cu sound’ul, ceea ce, eu personal, apreciez foarte mult la el. Acesta e primul lui album solo, pana acum fiind implicat doar in colaborari si alte proiecte, destul de reusite pe langa toate celea! Deci, nu ratati materialul (mai ales ca e gratis, zgarcitilor!)…
Albumul contine 20 de track-uri aranjate in ordinea in care au fost inregistrate, iar ordinea reda exact povestea lui ZHAO (veti afla mai multe citind coperta). Nu se poate spune ca acest album are un stil anume deoarece contine mai multe genuri de muzica (am mai zis – omu’ experimenteaza), de la – dancehall, reggae, RNB, pop, pana la piese ce combina mai multe stiluri.
Daca va place acest material si considerati ca merita sustinut, CD-ul va fi disponibil si la vanzare, in carcasa normala, nu plic si nici alte lo-cost-uri, la pretul de 15 lei (plus taxe postale).

Gani Versus Cancer case is adjourned forever – Bar. ATERE

One of the Senior Special Assistan (SSA) to the Ondo State Governor. Barrister Tunde Atere has declared that the case of  Gani Fawehinmi Versus Messers Cancer  had been adjourned till further notice

Atere made these declaration among other while speaking with Sunshine Daily Watch on how Chief Gani Fawehinmi  was able to curbed crime while alife with genuine poverty alleviation and empowerment programmes.

The S.S.A whose portfolio is Project Monitoring of Ondo North Senatorial District, who was part of the leading team of senior lawyers who received the corpse of Gani at Akure Stadium during the day of tribute and lying in state described as a dogged fighter against injustice and senior advocate of masses.

He said  Gani was a social crusader who fought for the down trodden of the people, who stood as the father to fatherless, who gave scholarships to a lot of Nigerians who ordinarily wouldn’t have gotten the opportunities of going to school and frustration might have sent such people into perpetrating crimes.

 Atere further said that in  Gani’s life time, he did not only give scholarship, he also ensure that they are gainfully employed after completion  of their studies, even artisans are well empowered, so, with all these, the legal mogul, an icon who fought against crime in our society.

“The fact remains that Gani   in his life time spent his money to educate the less privileged, he even assisted them to be gainfully employed.

In his further revelation about Gani , Atere said that late Gani  used his money to liberate the down trodden, the commoners, feed the less privilege.

He   raises the hope of hopeless and never compromised his stand against injustice “Gani fought the liberation of his country. he even fought the disease that took his life but unfortunately, the disease won the battle. The case of Gani versus Cancer was adjourned and adjourned forever.” Atere said.

While advising his learned colleagues, Barrister Atere described law profession as a social engineering profession, he said that, lawyers should be able to care for the less privileged in he society, at least the legacy of Gani  is worthy of emulation.

 He said, “We are lawyers today, because God wants us to fight for justice and liberate both human beings and enthrone democracy in Nigeria”.

There has been no end to the Encomiums heaped on the late legal luminary Gani Fawhenmi (SAN). but the biggest news over the weekend was the supposedly wanted former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss, Nuhu Ribadu coming into the country for Gani’s memorial ceremony in Lagos and leaving afterwards; under the eyes of the police who are after him. Was it that the police did not know he was coming into the country or if they did , was it that they could not abduct arrest him for the ‘fear of the crowds’ ?

Whatever may have been the case it is unfortunate that someone like Ribadu who did a lot (whether we like it or not) in the fight against corruption to be treated like a common criminal for  (it seems) that very reason. Oh yes he may have gone after only selected (by Obasanjo) victims, but don’t forget that the selected victims were actually corrupt ; plus the work EFCC did against smaller scale corruption, for instance online scam which has done enough to the image of Nigeria abroad (It is bad enough that every non-Nigerian gets alarmed whenever there an E-Mail coming from Nigeria).  Despite all the efforts at rebranding  our image, by the treatment of Ribadu, the message government seems to be giving is that ‘Corruption is normal here either you join in or keep quiet.’

Which is why Gani Fawhenmi is the hero that he is. rather than giving in to the system or keeping quiet like most of his fellow elites, Gani stood up for what he knew was good and against what was wrong despite the opposition. And there was opposition: Gani was detained 32 times by the police and state security agents, his chambers and home has suffered 16 desecrations and his international passport was seized on 10 different occasions. I still vividly remember seeing Gani on television in the dark days of the Abacha regime fighting (that the only way to describe the way he speaks) for democracy. Nigeria truly lost a hero on the 5th of September , a badly needed one at a time where, in Nigeria, heroism is usually synonymous with stupidity. RIP Gani Fawhenmi.

Gani fought a good fight and his name will never be forgotten. Gani fought for the good of all and he wanted justice and prosperity to reign in Nigeria.

Unfortunately he did not seem to get his way through his activism. Even when he joined politics there was no way for his likes in the useless political space that prevails in Nigeria.

His death is a great lose to Nigeria and Africa as this Dark Continent continues to seek for true heroes and genuine leaders.

Now that Gani is gone, maybe the stupid politicians in Nigeria can begin to reflect on some of his arguments, dreams and aspirations. But I seriously doubt that an illegitimate government has time to reflect.

Chief Gani Fawehinmi was the voice of the voiceless, the advocate of the masses and part of the conscience of the nation.

Now the history books will be revisited and updated. The rest of the year will be used to detail the life and times of this humble man who dedicated his life, time and energy to the cause of the common man.

Again it is a tragedy that the things that he fought for, went to prison for and invariably died for, are still the same or probably worse. Nigeria was not a failed state when Chief Gani blasted the warning signals. But Nigeria is now a failed state at the time of his death.

And things are getting worse. The man who stood alone fighting for the masses is dead. What are the masses going to do now? Seriously speaking the Nigerian people need no reminder that the death of Chief Fawehinmi should serve as a rallying point to now rise up and take back this country from the fools in power.

First is the issue of electoral reform and secondly is the ultimate search for our votes. In 2011, hopefully the electoral reforms will be done by then, Nigerians should ask “where is my vote” if it becomes necessary. In honour of Gani Fawehinmi, Nigerians must demand for proper elections in 2011, pursuits of accountability in public life and the attainment of good life for all and sundry.

These were some of the dreams of the good man who walked by for 71 years. If we continue to abstain from our civil obligations then peace and prosperity will continue to elude us. Rest in Peace Gani Fawehinmi

Pentru a cata oare spun ca anul 2009 e un an perfect? Au trecut de-abia 7 luni din 2009, iar in acest “Best of” am pus doar piesele din primele 6 luni, adica ce a iesit pana in iulie 2009. A, da, cum era sa uit de Grasu XXL care in toamna vine cu albumul “Oameni” sau Spike care pregateste cel de-al doilea album solo. Sunt asa de multe nume ca era sa uit de “Veterani”, adica de B.U.G. KUALA LUMPUR – ANGKATAN Muda KeADILan (AMK) akan membuat pemantauan pada setiap siasatan yang akan dilakukan oleh Badan Pencegah Rasuah (BPR) berkaitan isu pembelian Eurocopter kata ketuanya, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.

Menurutnya lagi, pemantauan ini harus dilakukan supaya BPR tidak akan leka atau ketinggalan dalam apa jua isu untuk menutup mata rakyat berkaitan isu ini.

“Buat masa sekarang, kami ambil sikap tunggu dan lihat walaubagaimanapun kami akan membuat pemantauan rapi untuk melihat sejauh mana ketulusan BPR menyiasat isu ini,” katanya ketika dihubungi Suara Keadilan Online hari ini.

Jelasnya lagi, beliau berpegang pada janji Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yang menyatakan akan melakukan pembaharuan pada BPR sebelum mengakhiri tugasnya sebagai seorang Perdana Menteri.

“Saya ada sedikit keyakinan bahawa BPR akan menjalankan tugas dengan baik dan saya percaya ini ada kaitan dengan janji Abdullah yang berkata akan membawa perubahan pada BPR,” katanya lagi.

Media perdana hari ini melaporkan, Ketua Pengarah BPR, Ahmad Said Hamdan berkata R) sudah membuka kertas siasatan berhubung isu cadangan pembelian 12 helikopter Eurocopter C-725 yang bernilai RM1.607 bilion.

Menurut Ahmad Said juga dipetik berkata Pegawai BPR sudah ke Kementerian Pertahanan untuk mendapatkan maklumat berhubung isu itu kerana BPR mahu melihat sama ada ia dilakukan mengikut prosedur atau ada kepincangan.

Mengulas lebih lanjut, Shamsul turut menuntut agar Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Najib Abdul Razak dipanggil untuk memberi keterangan kepada BPR berdasarkan kaitan beliau di dalam skandal ini.

“Ketika ianya diluluskan, Najib adalah Menteri Pertahanan. Oleh yang demikian beliau wajar dipanggil untuk memberi keterangan berhubung perkara berkenaan,” menurutnya lagi.

Selasa lalu, Abdullah yang juga Menteri Pertahanan mengumumkan kerajaan menangguhkan pembelian 12 helikopter itu sehingga keadaan ekonomi dunia stabil bagi menumpukan perhatian pada projek lebih penting.

24 Oktober lalu, TIGA sayap pemuda Pakatan Rakyat telah membuat laporan kepada BPR mengenai penglibatan Timbalan Perdana Menteri Najib Abdul Razak.

Laporan berkenaan dibuat berdasarkan pendedahan Ketua Pembangkang, Anwar Ibrahim di Parlimen sewaktu perbahasan bajet 2009 di Parlimen 13 Oktober lalu berdasarkan sepucuk surat yang dihantar oleh sebuah syarikat pembida lain

Syarikat pembida helikopter berkenaan, Mentari Services, dalam surat berkenaan telah memberitahu bahawa kerajaan telah bersetuju membeli 10 unit Eurocopter yang lebih mahal daripada pembida lain yang menawarkan helikopter yang berkeupayaan yang sama pada nilai yang lebih murah dan menjimatkan.

Sebelum itu, pada 20 Oktober lalu satu laporan polis telah dibuat keatas, Najib Abdul Razak terhadap penyelewengan dan salah guna kuasa mengenai skandal pembelian Eurocopter semasa beliau menjawat jawatan Menteri Pertahanan.

Pada 26 September lalu, Perdana Menteri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi mengumumkan kerajaan akan menggantikan angkatan helikopter Nuri kepada Eurocopter Cougar EC725 buatan Perancis. Bagi tujuan tersebut, kerajaan memperuntukkan sekurang-kurangnya RM1.93 bilion untuk membeli 12 unit helikopter baru.

Harga tender yang ditawarkan Eurocopter bagi 10 helikopter itu adalah RM2.317 bilion dan adalah harga yang paling tinggi. Mentari Services, melalui syarikat induk Kelowna Flightcraft menawarkan helikopter buatan Rusia Mi-172 KF pada harga RM898 juta, manakala syarikat pembuat Nuri, Sikorsky dari Amerika Syarikat, menawarkan helikopter alaf baru S-92 pada harga RM1.452 bilion.

Selain itu, AMK turut menggesa agar BPR mempercepatkan proses pendakwaan ke atas Abd Gani Patail setelah Ketua Pengarah BPR mendedahkan bahawa siasatan kes insiden “mata lebam” Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim semasa dalam tahanan 10 tahun lalu telahpun selesai.

“BPR tidak boleh melengah-lengahkan sama sekali pendakwaan kes ini memandangkan keadaan ini tidak diadili sewajarnya dalam keadaan ia akan membiarkan individu-individu tertentu terus berkeliaran dan memungkinkan penyalahgunaan kuasa yang lebih besar berlaku,” katanya lagi

Katanya lagi, Perdana Menteri digesa lebih serius dengan komitmen beliau membersihkan sistem keadilan di Malaysia, dengan menggantung tugas Abd Gani dan Ketua Polis Negara, Musa Hassan agar memudahkan BPR meneruskan pendakwaan ke atas mereka.

“Wang rakyat dan sistem keadilan negara adalah amanah dan tidak boleh diseleweng demi memuaskan nafsu dan tembolok politikus rakus. Justeru BPR wajar meneruskan siasatan tanpa kompromi demi mempertahankan kebenaran untuk rakyat terbanyak,” katanya lagi.
