Wie ich gerstern dank der Bild erfahren habe, lueftet auch xavier nun sein altes geheimnis?!
hier mal der langweilige (gelogene??) Dialog?

„Als Kind wurde ich missbraucht!“ Darüber sprach der Mannheimer mit den indisch-südafrikanischen Wurzeln ausführlich in einem Interview mit der Jugendzeitschrift „Bravo“.

Es passierte während eines Urlaubs bei seiner Tante in Südafrika, als Xavier Naidoo neun Jahre alt war. Seine Tante beschäftigte einen etwa 60 Jahre alten indischen Gärtner.

Der Sänger: „Eines Tages sagte ich ihm, dass er mich an meinen Vater erinnern würde. Daraufhin lockte er mich in seine Hütte. Ich hatte eine sehr komisches Gefühl, als ich durch die Tür ging. Aber ich dachte, ich müsste höflich sein und ihm gehorchen.“

Naidoo weiter: „Er hatte meine Aussage ganz offensichtlich falsch verstanden, als Freibrief für Missbrauch. Plötzlich saß ich auf seinem Bett, und er meinte: ,Deinen Vater küsst du doch bestimmt auch?’ Wenige Sekunden später lag er auf mir.“

Er habe sich damals „nicht getraut“ zu schreien. „Ich wollte nicht, dass er Angst bekommt, erwischt zu werden und mir im Affekt den Hals umdreht. Zum Glück habe ich es irgendwie geschafft, mich aus der Situation hinauszuwinden.“

Der Gärtner sagte noch, das müsse „unser Geheimnis bleiben.“ Und Naidoo schwieg. Erst vor einigen Jahren erzählte er seiner Mutter, was damals passiert war. „Ich habe mich für das alles geschämt. Aber das ist wohl typisch für Missbrauchs-Opfer“, so der Sänger zu „Bravo“.

Was ich davon glauben soll, weiss ich selbst nicht?!

W odpowiedzi na dzisiejszy gangsta rap, przygotowałem takie oto cudo.

Dzisiejsze rymy do gustu mi przypadły,
choć wieczorem strasznie się schleję,
bo wielkie wiadro wódki się poleje,
To jednak miny forumowych rajców zbladły.

Drużyna pasztetu w totalnym barłogu,
siedzą po kątach w milczeniu jak trusie,
bo wyszło, że to zwykłe bojaźliwe strusie,
i nic ich nie wyciągnie z władzy nałogu.

Rzecz w tym, że weekend nadszedł znowu,
miastem ponownie zatrzęsą królowie nocy,
wysiadając z niebiesko złotej karocy,
pasztety w tym czasie niech wpadną do rowu.

Honor i odznaka to wartości dla nich całkiem obce,

La música y el cannabis tienen una clara y fuerte relación. Contamos con abundante documentación sobre la influencia de los efectos del consumo de esta planta en el músico (interprete o compositor) y en el oyente.

En la cultura occidental contemporánea, la marihuana está especialmente ligada a dos importantes movimientos musicales: el jazz de principios del siglo XX y el generado por el movimiento contracultural de los sesenta, tanto hippy californiano como psicodélico británico. Tal vez sin la influencia de la marihuana no hubiesen llegado a existir ni la música de Charles Mingus ni los universos sonoros propuestos por Pink Floyd.

Para el estudio de los cambios subjetivos provocados en la capacidad musical bajo los efectos del cannabis, contamos con la poderosa herramienta que constituye el testimonio de los propios consumidores, según la cual bajo los efectos de la marihuana se oye mejor la música, se perciben con más claridad los matices, el colorido tonal, y los pequeños detalles sonoros que anteriormente habían pasado desapercibidos adquieren mayor relevancia y pasan a un primer plano. Se empatiza y disfruta más de ella. Es un efecto generalizado, se da tanto en consumidores principiantes, con poca o ninguna experiencia con el cannabis, como en los usuarios habituados.

No es una sensación selectiva: sea considerada buena o mala, cualquier música se percibe mejor. La empatía llega al punto que hace que individuos que no “podían soportar” la música clásica logren comprenderla a partir de una experiencia con cannabis; o el caso contrario, cambiar la concepción de la música pop considerada antes trivial y banal, siendo los propios consumidores los primeros sorprendidos de este fenómeno. La apreciación más generalizada es que el sentimiento subjetivo de cambio en la calidad de percepción musical es algo real, no es vivido como algo artificial consecuencia de un estado alterado de la conciencia provocado por la sustancia, siendo recordada posteriormente, pasados los efectos de ella.

El testimonio de los músicos recoge que el cannabis beneficia en dos aspectos: sobre la capacidad creativa en el compositor, no sólo en cantidad sino en calidad y en la capacidad del intérprete para la improvisación. Ésta es una forma musical que consiste en concebir la música prescindiendo de una línea melódica predeterminada, creándose mientras se interpreta, con la única ayuda de la base armónica, cambiante a veces cada pocos compases, lo que constituye todo un arte al alcance sólo de unos pocos virtuosos. Según el doctor James Munch, colaborador del famoso zar prohibicionista Henry Anslinger (uno de los principales responsables de la Prohibición del uso del cannabis), “La marihuana alarga el sentido temporal y, por lo tanto, se pueden obtener más ritmos no plasmados en la partitura, incorporando el doble de música de la que hay escrita y haciendo la música más viva” . De esta forma, de la década de los veinte a la de los cuarenta, el jazz resultante de un grupo de buenos músicos consumidores de cannabis consigue el periodo sonoro en el cual la improvisación se convierte en el eje central.

Hasta aquí la experiencia de los usuarios de cannabis, oyentes y músicos. Pero, ¿qué tiene que decir la ciencia al respecto?, ¿cuál es la explicación neurológicas de estos fenómenos, la relación última entre la mejora del sentido de la audición y esta planta?, ¿son sólo experiencias lúdicas o podrían tener futuras implicaciones terapéuticas?

Aunque se han llevado a cabo muchos estudios para comprender el funcionamiento cerebral de la percepción auditiva, son pocos los elaborados bajo condiciones de consumo de cannabis. De manera empírica, está claro que existe una relación entre la función auditiva y los cannabinoides, pero aún están por concretarse estas conexiones. El profesor Jörg Fachner, del Instituto de Terapia Musical de la Universidad de Witten (Alemania), presentaba recientemente un estudio etnográfico electrofisiológico donde analiza los cambios electroencefalográficos (que analiza la actividad eléctrica y, por tanto, funcional del cerebro) obtenidos en una muestra de individuos sanos. Utilizó cuatro voluntarios, tres hombres y una mujer, ninguno de ellos profesional de la música relacionado de alguna forma con esta actividad. Estudió el efecto de un porro de hachís nepalí con una cantidad de 20 miligramos de tetrahidrocannabinol (THC, principal componente psicoactivo de la planta) mientras escuchaban música, en concreto tres piezas del grupo King Crinsom (dos cantadas y una instrumental), en un contexto relajado y con los ojos cerrados.

Posteriormente, se compararon los cambios en dichos registros en las distintas fases, antes y después de la exposición al THC en silencio, así como antes y después de la exposición a dicha sustancia escuchando la música. El resultado es que los cambios en el área parieto-occipital derecha y occipito-temporal en las ondas alfa parecen ser una constante en la relación con la capacidad de percepción musical, en concreto con su relación espacial, facilitando que el oyente “penetre en el espacio que hay entre las notas”. Es de destacar que los cambios observados en su estudio al usar marihuana son similares a los encontrados en individuos con una especial dotación para la música. El profesor Fachner concluye su estudio diciendo que esta novedosa área de investigación debería ser potenciada, pues parece claro que el sistema endocannabinoide interviene en el funcionamiento fisiológico de la audición y que estas variaciones electroencefalográficas provocadas por los cannabinoides sobre la capacidad auditiva podrían desempeñar un importante papel en determinadas enfermedades neurológicas con afectación en esta área, como ciertas afasias.

Μετά από απουσία δέκα περίπου ετών, ένας εκ των ιδρυτών του συγκροτήματος που έθεσε τα θεμέλια της gansta rap, των σπουδαίων N.W.A. (Niggaz With Attitude) στα τελη της δεκαετίας του ‘80, ο Mc Ren, δήλωσε πως επιστρεφει στο studio για την ηχογράφηση του 5ου κατά σειρά προσωπικου του δίσκου, που θα διανεμηθεί αποκλειστικά μέσω Internet, όπως δήλωσε ο ίδιος ο καλλιτέχνης…

Αν και είχε συμμετάσχει σε δουλειές των Paris και Public Enemy στα μεσα του 2006, δήλωνε χρόνια αηδιασμένος απο τη μουσική βιομηχανία και τα Music labels, μίλησε με πολύ σκληρή γλώσσα και για αυτό άλλωστε αποφάσισε να κυκλοφορήσει το δίσκο του για όλους όσους τον στήριζαν τόσα χρόνια μόνο μέσω ιντερνετ, αφού όπως είπε χαρακτηριστικά : “Αφού μπορώ να το κάνω μόνος μου και να το κάνω καλά, δεν έχω καμιά δουλειά μαζί τους, τους έχω σιχαθεί…” αναφερόμενος στις δισκογραφικές εταιρείες…

Αυτή θα είναι μια μεγάλη αλλαγη για τον ίδιο, αλλά και οριστική όπως δηλώνει. Μαζί με τους Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Dj Yella και τον αδικοχάμενο Eazy-E μεσουρανουσαν απο τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ‘80 μεχρι τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ‘90 και πούλησαν εκαταμμύρια δίσκους ανα τον κόσμο (Straight Outta Compton (1988), 100 Miles and Runnin’ (1990), και Niggaz4Life (1991). Έφεραν την επανάσταση όχι μόνο στην West Coast σκηνή αλλά και σε όλο το είδος του Hip-Hop με την σκληρότητα και την αμεσότητα των στίχων τους, αλλά και το “βαρύ” τους ήχο…

Η αποχώρηση του Ice Cube το 1991, του Dr.Dre αργότερα και κυρίως ο θάνατος του Eazy-E το 1995 απο το AIDS, σημάδεψαν το τέλος εποχής για τη μπάντα που έφερε τα πάνω-κάτω, έμπαινε στο μάτι πολλών “καθωσπρέπει” πολιτικών και δε φοβόταν να πει τα πράγματα όπως ακριβώς τα ζούσε χωρίς καλά λόγια και ψέμματα…

ΌλοI τους πλην του Yella, ακολούθησαν solo καρίερες με τους Ice Cube και Dre να συνεχίζουν να αποτελουν τα πρωτοπόρα ονόματα της σκηνης χρόνια τώρα! Ο Ren ήταν ίσως ο λιγότερο διαφημισμένος από όλους, αλλά τελικά αυτός που παρά τις προτάσεις πολλών δισκογραφικών προτίμησε να επιστρέψει δυναμικά, όχι για τη δόξα, αλλά γιατί έχει προφάνως και άλλα πράγματα να πει και να βγάλει από μεσα του…

Ο δίσκος του Ren θα ονομάζεται RenIncarnated, με άγνωστη προς το παρόν, ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας…

You’d think that the Soulja Boy/Ice-T battle had died down, but with neither side of this hip-hop rivalry showing signs of yielding, the war of videos continues. In this first installment of Station Conversation, Liz Shannon Miller and Jill Weinberger discuss whether or not Ice-T is relevant, Soulja Boy is right, and what it all implies about the current state of new media.

Liz: So, to start off, I feel like it’s safe to say that despite having been going on for almost a month, this feud hasn’t yet been resolved. Tell me, as a staunch Ice-T fangirl, what did you think of him lashing out at Soulja Boy like this?

Jill: I gotta be honest, much as I love Ice-T — and I really love Ice-T — I don’t think it’s super cool to pick on a teenager and tell him to eat a d**k. That said, hip-hop has always been about throwing down with other artists. And if Ice – tells you you suck and you need to eat a d**k, well then you man up and take it! ‘Cause he’s Ice-T.

Liz: But seriously, when was the last time Ice-T did anything to advance the cause of hip-hop? By which I mean — when was the last time Ice-T released an album?

Jill: Well, 2006. I will admit it didn’t exactly rock the industry. But if you are a recognized founding father of an industry, do you constantly have to keep creating and innovating for your opinion to be valid? Does cred have an expiration date?

Liz: I think it does. You can respect a founding father for their contributions, but it is possible for them to become irrelevant to the overall medium. Take Stan Lee and comics, for example. Everyone grants the man his place in history, but no one cares about his current projects.

Jill: Yeah, but if Ice-T spoke positively about a new hip-hop artist — “discovered” somebody who then hit it big — nobody would say that Ice-T’s opinion was irrelevant. They’d say it was great that somebody old school was still supporting new blood.

Liz: Is Ice-T citing any examples of new blood worth celebrating?

Jill: In his response video to Soulja Boy’s response, yes. Lil Wayne, T.I., Young GZ, Ludacris…

Liz: Ludacris isn’t exactly new blood.

Jill: That’s true. But let’s talk about Soulja Boy for a second, because as inelegant as Ice-T might have been, his point was about the music. And Soulja Boy didn’t defend the music or the trends of the genre. He just called Ice-T old about 7,000 times.

Liz: The argument in Soulja Boy’s defense is that he represents new media in a profound way. Ice-T claims that all of hip-hop is going to come down on Soulja for attacking an elder statesman. But the thing is, hip-hop is part of a dying industry. Ice-T’s disapproval is not going to impact Soulja’s success at all.

Jill: But I don’t think Soulja Boy is far enough along in a career for ANY of us to predict how long his success is going to last. Because he IS at the forefront of a new way of distributing and consuming music, we don’t know yet if he’s got any kind of long-range chops…or if he’s a just case of a good hook with the right technology at the right time.

Liz: But Soulja doesn’t aspire to be the salvation of hip-hop; he has a specific niche — dance party jams — and he does it well. This is like Stanley Kubrick rising from the grave to slap Brett Ratner around. Brett Ratner makes crappy movies, but no one confuses what he’s doing with high art.

Jill: Soulja could’ve said, “Look, I’m just trying to make music people like. If that offends you, you can suck a d**k right back.” Or, “The people determine what’s popular; they’re not listening to Gangsta Rap (Ice-T’s 2006 album), they’re listening to Crank That.” But he didn’t say any of that.

Liz: Wait, Ice-T’s 2006 album was called GANGSTA RAP? Did it come out on victrola? Or 8-track?

Jill: HEY! Do not link my Ice-T to 8-tracks. I will cut you. I will cut you where you stand. Probably with the edge of an envelope or something, but still.

Liz: I’m going to go look you up on Wikipedia and find out if you’re an actor who plays a cop on TV a decade after saying “F*** Da Police.” Because that right there will probably win me this argument.

Jill: Well, Ice-T recorded Cop Killer, for sure. But seriously, are we going to say that people can’t PLAY A ROLE — as in pretending — DECADES after they record a song? Not to mention that when Ice T was recording stuff like Cop Killer he was responding to police brutality and dirty cops. He was NOT declaring war on all police.

It’s Soulja Boy who made it a debate/war by creating such an extensive response, and a response essentially without much substance, even though he did in theory have a valid argument to stand on. And that is why I think Soulja Boy sucks.
