“Monastery, Conclave Citadel; Landing up on the lush world of Monastery, a world with a deep history for those pursuing force related endeavors, we could see the Citadel atop a large mountain, its thick walls protected by vegetation and rock on both sides. After a long trek through the forested, always alert to some of the larger predators that reside on this world, we made our way to the entrance and hiked up the mountainside to the doors of the Citadel. Here we met Kekken, a force Master and now Sage who has been with the Conclave for a long time from the time it was on Bakura. Later he worked closely with the Tetans and we were a bit surprised to see him here, though as we exchanged pleasantries another arrived, Jedi Master Devynth Anon of the GLA. Kekken graciously invited us inside to discuss things and we were met by other Conclave members, Sage Sosanda Khieu and Templar Garret Alesius.

The Imperial Conclave is a successor of the Galactic Empire, with its leadership and members focusing on different aspects of the force. Currently the Conclave has grown under the leadership of Emperor Morane and the organization controls several worlds including that of Monastery. Because of the general ideas of the Conclave to help those in need in the Galaxy and their fight against the expanse of the Sith, Devynth Anon, a commander in the GLA, was sent to seek friendship with the Conclave. Kekken reminded the Jedi that the conclave members don’t particularly hold aggression against every Sith, some even being allies of the group, but against the ideas of an oppressive regime pushing its ideas on others. Finding common ground with Kekken’s statement, Master Anon, extended his informal invitation of friendship between the two groups, which was well received especially by Sosanda who moved the conversation with the GLA to a private area. GNN has plans to meet with the GLA at a later time to clarify their position and what they wish to accomplish in seeking these allies.

Moving towards specifics of the Conclave, Templar Garret explained they organised their Force users into two main branches, the Sages, those seeking knowledge and enlightenment in the force, and the Templars, those using the force for protection and defense of others. Both branches comprising the Conclave was under the authority of Emperor Morane. The Emperor is currently taking a rest at an undisclosed location leaving the running of the Conclave to the leaders of the Templars and Sages. Some time ago, the Conclave had been active with the Empire in Exile and had been basing their operations out of Bakura. Now they have gathered on Monastery where they hope to bring peace to the galaxy.

In their pursuit of peace, the Conclave is wishing to enter into negotiation with others that would like to help to stabilize the Galaxy. Curiously this includes possible treaties with the Mandalorians. In fact their talks with the Mandalorians have been progressing nicely and they hope to enter into a trade agreement with them, which Sosandra stated were needed for the people of the Galaxy to help defend themselves. The object if the trade is however not yet defined, it is possible it concerns small weapons. Templar Garret also extended his hand to open up new negotiations with the Empire in Exile. He also hoped that other Empires, Republics, and governments would enter into negotiations to help the Galaxy and they would like to set up embassies, such as the one they have with the Tetan Empire, on these other worlds.

Setting up a government whereby the citizens of the Conclave can pursue their own dreams and wants has been the goal of Emperor and the other leaders and they wish to extend these ideals to the rest of the Galaxy, not by force but by example. Templar Garret summarized it this way “The Conclave is not here to spread fear or invoke our will and ways on other people. We are here to give aid to those who require it and to teach to those who are willing to learn. Those who are willing to learn our ways and become one with our society, may. No-one has to. It’s only a thing that can be done willingly. Besides that, we are offering anyone who wishes to enter in negotiations with us the chance to come to the planet of Monastery where we stand now to speak with us or to contact us through the Holonet. We are peace-loving, not war loving.” GNN will continue coverage over this organizations dealings with others and their possible alliances with others.
