In tutto questo movimento di notizie, non mi sono accorta (fino ad ora) di una cosa curiosa: il giovane Jamie Campbell Bower ha l’onore di fare parte del cast delle due saghe cinematografiche di maggior successo degli ultimi anni: Harry Potter e Twilight.

In Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte Parte I, Jamie interpreta il  giovane Gellert Grindelwald, potente mago oscuro che in gioventù fu amico di Albus Silente.

In New Moon ed Eclipse, invece, Jamie interpreta Caius, uno dei Volturi centenari di Volterra.

Dai maghi ai vampiri quindi! A Jamie piace il paranormale!

I read the book, or did I?

I don’t remember! LOL

I thought I read all of the books, yes I did, now I remember!

I don’t remember any “relationiship” with Dumbledore.

But then again half the time I can’t remember something I read a week ago!

I read all of the JK Rowling books last summer, to get an idea about doing character descriptions for my novels.

I got into it so much that I ended up spending the month of June 2008 with my nose plastered in all 7 books!

I think it’s 7!  Man I’m kind of tired, I woke up at 5 a.m. couldn’t sleep so I came online to start posting stuff to 3 of my blogs!

It will be interesting to see how the character  Gellert Grindelwald develops in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

Jamie Campbell Bower will be in New Moon in November, but he is currently filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.  Part 1 is in post production at the moment.

Jamie plays the part of Gellert Grindelwald.

He will also be in the movie The Prisoner.

Here he is at Comic Con in San Diego on July 24, 2009  during his interview for his role in Twilight New Moon.

J. K. Rowling read through the script for this film, and found a line where Dumbledore mentions a girl he had a crush on when he was younger. After reading it, she informed the filmmakers that Dumbledore is in fact gay, and that his only romantic infatuation was with the wizard Grindelwald, whom he later had to defeat in a wizard duel. She later made this information public while promoting the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I knew it! Well, I shouldn’t be surprised, it was so obvious. A confirmation just made the fact “formal”, duh!

Yesterday, I posted the link to MuggleCast’s podcast #175. Hopefully some of you got a chance to listen to it because this segment was really good and full of information. I listened to it last night and took some notes (er… 2 pages worth, ahahaha) so basically I’ll give you my feedback on what I thought of the latest podcast.

#175: Fireside Chats was hosted by Andrew, Jamie, Laura, Micah, and Eric.

So here’s basically a summary of went on during the podcast and my commentary:

• The actor for Grindelwald has been confirmed as Jamie Campbell Bower. He is most known for his role in Sweeney Todd. He also will be playing Caius in New Moon. So the main concern was, is Jamie Campbell too much of a ”pretty boy” and also will you be bothered by the fact that whenever you see him, you’ll be reminded of Sweeney Todd? I don’t think this will be a problem… I actually really like him as Caius and also Gellert Grindelwald, I mean, he’s an amazing actor so I think it will be just fine (:
• Michelle Obama took her daughters onto the Deathly Hallows (?) set to see the cast and J.K. Rowling herself. Apparently Malia and Sasha are die-hard Harry Potter fans. All I have to say is… I’m freaking jealous.
• Half-Blood Prince’s run-time has been announced: 153 minutes (or 2 hours and 33 minutes). While for any other film, this would be a looooong movie, I’m glad it’s going to be a long one. Every time I watch a HP movie, I always find myself wanting more at the end… with HBP being the 2nd longest HP film, I’m sure my HP-cravings will be satisfied ;]
• For all you gamers out there, the HBP video game is set to be released on June 30th in the US. The designers for the game are apparently HUGE HP fans so expect this game to be amazing. From the teaser trailers, the graphics are awesome and though I’m not much of a gamer, I’m thinking of getting this one for myself.
• While HBP is scheduled to be released on July 15th, the IMAX version will not be released till July 29th! This is mainly because Transformers/Paramount had a contract with IMAX so that they would be exclusively in IMAX theaters for 4 weeks. This is actually a good thing for me because I get back from vacation on the 22nd so I’ll be just in time for the release of the IMAX version :]]
• Going along with the IMAX news, with the IMAX version of the movie being released several weeks AFTER the original debut, will you actually watch it again (and pay more for IMAX tickets) just for the mere 12 minutes of 3-D action? I’m not sure I would, but I don’t really have an issue this year since I’ll be gone for the midnight release of HBP, but what are your thoughts?? Let me know in a comment ;]
• During the podcast, several people talked about how much of the movie the teaser trailers/tv spots were giving away. Do you think this builds up excitement or ruins the film because you’ve seen too much? I honestly think that it’s ruining the film (for the people who are watching all these TV spots and teaser trailers). I want to be surprised when I watch a movie, I don’t want to be like “Oh yeah, I saw that on the previews…” so I’m not watching the TV spots or any of the sneak peeks. You have to realize that they have a LOT of extra promotion time since the release was delayed, so if you want to be surprised, just don’t watch the TV spots.
• Another thing that came up was Half-Blood Prince’s PG rating in the US. The UK rated HBP 12A which is equivalent to PG-13 in America. So why did it get a PG rating here? I think it was a bad decision to make HBP PG-13, I mean, to some 12 year old kid, this movie will actually be pretty scary! I expect the MPAA to get a few complaints over their decision when kids start having nightmares over the disturbing images they see like Katie Bell’s face when she gets cursed? It’s pretty scary. Though I’m disappointed by the rating, I don’t think it will make much of a difference… either way, kids are going to see HP.
• You know the Lego Starwars/Indiana Jones games they have? Well now there’s going to be a Lego Harry Potter Yrs 1-4. It’ll basically be the HP story as a video game with 6-7 levels per book. I think this is pretty cool, I don’t know if I will get it, but for anyone who loves HP and video games, this is your game.
• Another thing that came up was the fact that there is no Amazon Kindle version of Harry Potter. JK/Bloomsbury feels that her book should be read on paper only. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree, disagree?
• Also, do you want to know beforehand where Deathly Hallows Part 1 will end? Will not knowing bother you? I won’t be bothered as much because I want to be surprised, but I think I’ll be thinking about it during the whole movie… what do you think?
• On the show, they have this new game called “Avada Kedavra, Imperio, Love Potion” where you’re given three HP characters and you get the choice of Avada Kedavra/Imperio/Love Potion a character. You must use each curse/potion and can only do one per character. I thought this game was really cute and fun. Andrew got Cho Chang, Snape, and Neville. He decided to Avada Kedavra Cho (“Because she’s a bitch for leaving Harry so early”), Love Potion Snape (“Because he needs some love in his life”), and Imperio Neville (“I’d make him teach me Herbology so I could be as good as him!”). Laura got Ron, Harry, and Hermoine. She chose to Love Potion Ron (of course, as would I!), Avada Kedavra Harry (“Harry was supposed to die!”), and Imperio Hermoine (“I’d use her influence for political power”). So as you can see, this game is not only interesting, but it makes you think. Leave me a comment picking 3 HP characters and tell me which one you would Avada Kedavra, Imperio, and Love Potion!
• MuggleCast also had a section where Micah read an excerpt from a Harry Potter fan fiction romance novel. In this novel, Hermoine Granger and Draco Malfoy found themselves in each other’s arms. Did you like this segment? I thought the “erotic story” part of it was kind of weird, but I lovvvvved Micah’s narrating!
• They concluded their show with a clip of Audio Fan Fiction where fans create spin-off stories of Harry Potter. This one was called “Drool” by Mutual Understanding, narrated by Lupin Patronus. “He’ll have the best parents, godfather, and uncles… well maybe not Wormtail. He’s beena little twitchy lately. And he just makes Harry cry.” Ahahaha, I loved it :]] these stories are creative and funny!

Alright, so that was the basic gist of the podcast… sorry this post was so long (it was an hour long podcast, guys!) como suponía, aquel chiquillo idiota había olvidado totalmente de la carta, aquel papel en realidad no había sido escrito ni para el ni iba dirigido a el de ninguna manera, era una simple nota que el había escrito años atrás, ya no recordaba para quien o porque, no era importante, una magia especial, que el seguía teniendo a pesar de estar en el insignificante cuerpo de la polilla de nieve, le había permitido, mediante la tinta con la cual había estado en contacto su anterior cuerpo, había podido dejar algo de su energía en el cuarto del muchacho, así creaba un vinculo que lo alimentaria y lo protegería, mediante el la energía del niño, esto no duraría para siempre, hasta que el encontrara un cuerpo mas poderoso, o hasta que el chico muriera, lo cual pasaría eventualmente, estando allí podría llevar acabo la segunda parte del plan, continuar un juego que había sido pospuesto por mas de medio milenio, con la esperanza de que no se reanudara, pero su misión era hacer que continuara, y que acabara en un explosión de magia tal, que el pudiera absorber y así recuperar su cuerpo y su poder. la blanca mariposa, casi invisible entre esa poco usual nevada primaveral, de haberla visto, nadie hubiera podido sospechar que dentro de el pequeño y delicado cuerpo de aquel insecto, viviera un peligro tan grande, una sombra atroz que pronto llevaría el terror al mundo, el insignificante bicho volaba por los corredores, buscando un rastro de magia lo suficientemente poderos para que el lugar fuera apto para iniciar el juego….estaba sintiendo ese rastro, si venia de abajo, tenia que encontrarlo bajo volando las escaleras, lo mas rápido que le permitía su diminuta anatomía….paso cerca de la entrada a la sala común de Slytherin, rozando la cara del rubio príncipe de la casa, que talvez por un presentimiento del terror que se avecinaba, sintió un escalofrío, la polilla se alejo, el olor de repente parecía ya no estar allí, lo siguió, era un rastro caprichoso, subía, bajaba, daba vueltas, hacia zigzag, finalmente entendió que provenía de las tuberías, así que lo siguió hasta un baño de niñas, clausurado, aunque no le fue difícil pasar por entre las tablas…el rastro se hacia mas fuerte al llegar a un grifo, se fijo bien, el grifo tenia tallada una serpiente… ¿seria aquella acaso, la celebre cámara de los secretos de Salazar Slytherin? ¿en un baño de niñas? que pésimo, pensó la criatura con severidad, para el, el buen gusto era tan importante como la practicidad, eran cosas que diferenciaban a un ser superior de un patán…. pasando a otro asunto ¿ como se abriría la cámara?, en el hipotético caso de que se encontrara allí, empezaba  el problema  aunque para el no era un problema, se recordó, si bien el cuerpo del insecto tenia infinitas desventajas, era tan pequeño que podía pasar por el mas mínimo agujero, busco uno, en efecto, había una pequeña ruptura en la porcelana, por la que fácilmente pudo pasar volando….¿seria ese el lugar para que el juego se reiniciara?

A la par que estas cosas sucedían hogwarts, mientras el-que-no-debe-ser-nombrado recuperaba sus fuerzas y su ejército, muchas  cosas estaban pasando en el Monte McKinley, Alaska.  Un ser, que durante años había vivido encerrado en el hielo, durmiendo en una inconciencia sin sueños, estaba despertando. Y aquello no parecía nada bueno. Y no lo era. Poco a poco, en un proceso que tomó meses, el ser fue recuperando la conciencia, primero  como un simple sueño, después de décadas de color negro, y luego como algo mas fuerte, como una voluntad, un deseo de volver a la vida, luego como la búsqueda en su mente recién despierta, la manera de salir, y luego, como la sangre que volvía a fluir por cada una de sus venas, estaba entrando en calor.  Luego, pasadas algunas semanas, comenzó a sentir el hielo, que se derretía lentamente, conforme su cuerpo se entibiaba. Y luego vino el frío. Comenzó de una manera atroz, cuando empezaba a sentir algo, casi nada, pero algo al fin, de agua a su alrededor, entonces el frío comenzó, lo sintió como una bofetada inesperada en la cara, luego como miles de agujas clavándose en su piel, le vino un dolor de cabeza terrible, insoportable, pero entre mas frío sentía, su cuerpo generaba mas calor, poco a poco,  con el paso de las semanas, el hielo se derretía mas y mas, el comienzo del verano, Única estación con mas de 5 grados de expectativa máxima de temperatura, y el ser pensaba en su venganza, en como los castigaría a todos, en el precio que pagarían…en especial El, si, el seria el primero que mataría, el había causado eso y lo pagaría con su vida, de eso quería cerciorarse. Todo había sido su culpa, el se había echado para atrás, aunque también había sido culpa del ser, por no haber podido continuar sin el, había sido una grave equivocación depender tanto de Él, hubiera podido perfectamente continuar solo, pero había sido tan idiota… no debía haberse rendido, no debía haberse dado por vencido, aunque, para el estricto significado de la palabra, no lo había hecho. Nadie hubiera podido sospechar que todavía tenía cartas por jugar, había jugado algunas de las mejores, pero no todas, algunas bastante buenas seguían sin usar. Y en ellas confiaba. Aquello de la congelación fue la mejor idea que aquel idiota poseso, que, encima de todas sus manías, exigía que lo trataran como “El Furias”, pero había apoyado a este pedazo de carroña humana por que, en ocasiones, tenia buenas ideas, como aquello de congelación, o criogenización, como insistía en llamarle aquel enano. La lógica de esta operación, que le permitiría ganar un valioso tiempo extra, de años, décadas e incluso tal vez siglos, era tan simple que se sorprendió por no haberlo pensado antes, el megalómano de atar, el tal “furias”, lo había mencionado de pasada, señalando el hecho de que, si en el hielo la carne de los animales no se podría, e incluso algunos habían logrado vivir después de salir del hielo ¿por qué no las personas?, pero para el era un concepto aparte, no supo ver la utilidad de su idea por que estaba empeñado en eliminar a aquella gente y no le importaba nada mas. Pobre inepto. Pero el si había detectado la genialidad de aquel pensamiento, y lo volvió a recordar en el momento en el que se dejo vencer. Entonces se transformo a su forma animal y se congelo a si mismo en aquel inexplorado rincón del parque nacional de Denali… ¡CRAC! la criatura abrió los ojos y el hielos se quebró. Pero se sentía débil, muy débil, presentía la muerte de su cuerpo, y entonces, con la única energía que le quedaba, atrajo a una mariposa que volaba cerca, su cuerpo murió, pero su alma,  antes de ascender o algo de eso, se metió al cuerpo de la mariposa. El tigre que estaba tendido en el suelo se volvería a congelar en menos de tres horas, pues el invierno estaba empezando, así que el comenzó a planear como se haría poseedor de un cuerpo mas fuerte, Grindelwald había regresado. Aunque no fuera casi nada, aunque solo tuviera como cuerpo el de una insignificante polilla de nieve, encontraría la forma de volver, y todos lo lamentarían. Pero por ahora,  solo era un espectro de lo que en realidad era, una sombra de la calamidad que asechaba al mundo, un revoloteo de alas.

Dumbledore made a very rare appearance from the great beyond to counter charges of homosexuality leveled against him postmortem.  It is being suggested that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards.  It is clear the some people think that “wand duels” have an entirely different meaning than the one taught to the impressionable Hogwarts Community.

 It is assumed that Dumbledore made this personal response so as to avoid the problems that have beset the Catholic Church in the Muggle World.
