thanks all who braved the weather last night to come to the revival premiere! everyone involved will agree it was a great night in spite of the cold and rain, with highlights (other than the movie itself, which was SUPER RAD) including a wayne-birthday-vodka-chuggathon, a ‘raining blood’ in-shop-mosh-pit, Juliet’s streetfight, and many more

but thanks especially to our guests including Tyler Johnson (picture below by Matt Lingo), all those involved in the REVIVAL screening/documentation and mr. h+son

The last few pages of my ‘medical life’ story…

Time flies. lallalalalaaa… I’m finishing medical. 12 days to go..yippie!!! I need to make sure I didn’t make a single mistake in my last few days. Otherwise 1 month extension. no no no no!!

How am i feeling now? Great. It is a hard and complicated posting. But i’ve learnt how to be a good, competent, SAFE doctor in medical posting then in other posting. In medicine everything has a reason. For example, a patient got a temperature spike and you’ll crack your head to find the source ..is it infection? inflammation? antibiotic fever? something is definitely wrong somewhere… the MO will stand next to me during our morning round and ask  ”ur patient is having fever, y huh? tell me.. y? ”  and as usual, i’ll give him this look jeng jeng jeng…

I still remember not so long ago where i would be complaining and cursing on how i hate long working hours, sleepless night, the scolding, the pressure, the dying patients, the fussy relatives.. but now i see all of these form a different point of view. These are the like peppers you sprinkle on roast beef. Medicine means nothing without those hardship. The more difficult it is, the sweeter is the end result. The more difficult the case is, the more satisfaction i get in the future. Weird it is, but it’s true

Currently i’m taking care the ICU and the H1N1 isolation ward. Dem the second wave is coming. My patients are getting more and more and everyone is coughing!!! I’m behind the mask all the time. And you know what, I don’t even care to put on my lip gloss or blusher. Pakai pun saper nampak :p hehehehe….

As i’m writing this blog, i feel like i’m now more confident then ever to face the rest of my medical career. It’s sad to think that I have another year to wait before i can go back to medical. Not as a HO but as a MO  :). Wish me luck peeps~!

It’s only Day 3 but I’m already missing Mum and Sissy. It seems like a long time has passed.

Anyway, I’ve gotten myself a new book, an Inspirational book. I’ve started reading it and boy! it has a very deep meaning. Every sentence has its meaning to it, not very obvious though – hidden meaning.

But I like it, that’s why I bought it duh~

Hmm, there’s gonna be a revision for OTCM tomorrow. 6 – 7 pm. It’s gonna be the first time that I’m staying back late into the night, for my CDS. -.-

Alamak, I don’t feel like carrying on with my entry. Sorry ah. Will be back another time.

Le député CPL du Matn, Ibrahim Kanaan, a vivement condamné les comportements du Général Ashraf Rifi, ainsi que son manque de respect envers le ministre de l’intérieur, Ziad Baroud, et l’autorité que celui-ci représente.

“Le ministre de l’intérieur, dans son ministère, est responsable de toutes les institutions qui répondent à ses ordres. Il est l’autorité sécuritaire politique la plus élevée. Lorsque cette autorité donne des ordres ou des directives, ceux-ci doivent être respectés, en vertu de la loi, des valeurs nationales et de la Constitution. Il est interdit de négliger la volonté de l’autorité politique, représentée par le ministère de l’intérieur.”

“Nous refusons aujourd’hui, conformément aux valeurs de l’Etat et de la Constitution, et dans le nouveau contexte de réconciliation nationale d’un gouvernement d’union, que l’autorité du ministre de l’intérieur soit remise en question à l’intérieur de son ministère, notamment que ceci pourrait constituer un précédent. Le député Kanaan a affirmé souhaiter la construction de l’institution et non son sa destruction!

It’s a cliché, I know, but this phrase has a history. So, I just wanted to use it.

I’m starting this blog to share with others what I think and feel, also to discuss if anyone is interested. My native language is Turkish, so I may write in that from time to time (don’t worry, Google will happily translate it for you). However, I’ll prefer English as long as I can express myself.

In these pages I’d like to write about science, philosophy, literature and maybe politics and history. There will be fun stuff as well, if I’m really in the mood. I hope it will be a nice blog.

Esta noche he soñado que estaba soñando.

En el sueño recuerdo que estaba soñando algo que me gustaba, aunque ahora no me acuerdo que era. La cuestión es que en el sueño desperté de mi sueño, me levanté y fuí a mirar mi correo eléctronico.

Tenía 1 correo nuevo en mi Inbox. El asunto del correo era algo como: “Recupera la transcripción de tú último sueño“.

El cuerpo del correo era un como un presupuesto de pocos euros en el que se me ofrecía la posibilidad de recuperar el contenido de mi sueño. Me parece algo asombroso. Todavía estoy sorprendido.

Lo que realmente me corroé es pensar que posiblemente esto sea posible en un futuro. ¿Habré tenido un flashforward?

Creo que una empresa que pudiera hacer esto tendría bastante éxito.

IN my current “phase”, I find myself going from thing to thing quickly. In other words I go through ideas very quickly.
