I had (another) idea recently…

… when my husband forwarded an image file to me with typewritten words of inspiration. It showed up in my email “inbox” at the most opportune time; I really needed a lift. Due to my love of Photoshop, I wanted to create a better image file. At some point a Chalkboard came to mind; they seem to call out to be written on. Do you remember what it feels like to pick up a piece of chalk; to feel that light dust on your fingers and scribble a message on the large green board?

About “Generate.” We all attach ourselves to certain feelings and beliefs, right? I believe that the “energy” which resides within everything, very much including ourselves, is hugely important. When we are filled with LOVE, oh, that “energy” feels grand. When we are frustrated, sad, desperate or angry … have you ever noticed that when you feel a certain way it has an affect on your loved ones? I tend to think that this “energy” we produce expands to anyone within our reach (and beyond?)… therefore, we might as well generate (our energy towards) peace.

Create a Truth and Step Into It There is a saying in self-help circles that states, “Your mind can’t

Create a Truth and Step Into It

There is a saying in self-help circles that states, “Your mind can’t take a joke.” What this means is that whatever you believe to be true is true, at least as far as your mind is concerned. One dramatic example of this is what most people refer to as psychosomatic illnesses. There are many examples of this, such as false pregnancies and allergies that trigger severe, life threatening reactions when the person believes (incorrectly) they have come into contact with the allergen (your beliefs are extremely powerful and can overcome many things).

Be Careful How You Think of Success

On a more psychological note, people who constantly repeat negative beliefs and habits in their mind (I’m too ugly to attract men, my boss hates me, I will never be successful) create a reality where what they think is what they experience, unfortunately reinforcing the very belief that created the problem in the first place (you become what you think about, such as the book Think and Grow Rich).

Although this can create problems for the people who suffer from the negative aspects of the phenomenon, you can harness the positive side of this extraordinary power for your own use by creating a truth and then stepping into it. For example, creating a powerful and professional website, complete with all the whiz-bang features of the big boys, creates a truth in the mind of your customers that you are one of the big boys and they will treat you as such, encouraging you to respond in kind (Self confidence and high self-esteem commands respect).

Expect Success

Set yourself up with the trappings of success as it relates to your goal, behave as you would expect a successful person to behave and speak and think of your success in the present tense rather than future tense, and almost imperceptibly, you will step into the truth that you have created. Before you know it, you will be what you behave yourself to be, because your mind (which, let’s face it, creates your reality as you know it on a very tangible level) can’t tell the difference between, as it were, a Hollywood set and a real house. Make that ability work for you (Fake it until you make it).

Check your focus! I am talking about a law of nature that says “What you focus on expands”. It sound

Check your focus! I am talking about a law of nature that says “What you focus on expands”. It sounds pretty simple, if you focus on success you expand your success, if you focus on lack you expand your lack. Sounds easy enough, right? Well the fact is, that most people who want success focus on their lack of success and you know happens then.

Keep Your Focus on Success

So the question here is, how do you keep your focus on success for success when reality is telling you differently. Good question and the answer to that question is ultimately the secret to achieve success. If you have studied success and the achievements of success minded people for any length of time you start to realize that the steps to success are not really secrets, and the secret is the HOW you follow and practice these steps. The HOW has everything to do with your mind and how you think, the success mindset is what controls your success.

Back to the subject at hand (I am not staying focused am I), keeping your focus on success for success. Staying focused starts with the main goal or major purpose in your life. If you set a weak, unexciting or unbelievable goal, you will probably have weak focus. Then the key is to set a great goal. A goal that excites you, a goal that makes you smile when you think about it already achieved. A goal that you believe is possible that will improve your life and the life of people important to you.

Goals to Focus on Success

When you have that special goal that both excites you and maybe even scares you a little bit, it is much easier to focus on success and the achievement of that goal. Besides the goal itself, you will have reasons why you want to accomplish that goal. Whatever the reasons you have for wanting to accomplish that goal need to be clear and specific. I am not talking about a reason like, I want more money, I want to be comfortable or I want to successful. They need to be reasons that are meaningful and important to you. Specific, well written and thought out goals will also help develop your mindset of success.

Improve Your Focus

Practice and develop your laser like focus on success in small steps to success. Keep the goal and the reasons for accomplishing your goals in front of you at all times. Help increase your focus by visualizing your goal already achieved many times a day and especially right before falling asleep at night. Make it one of your daily habits to picture the results of your goal and you will increase your focus. Remember, what you focus on expands, so focus on success and whatever you want to expand in your life.

I have talked to many people who have worked on being a success for years, and some that have tried

I have talked to many people who have worked on being a success for years, and some that have tried their entire life without achieving the success they desire. Many people do not realize that through seemingly harmless and often unconscious choices and decisions they are sabotaging their success. Do you sabotage your success?

Here are 10 common ways that you can sabotage your success. Do some self-analysis and make sure these common ways are not holding you back from success. Remember what they say, doing the same things will give you the same results. Take a look at this list and if you are doing any of these, change them and stop sabotaging your success. When you change what you do, you will get different results. That I can guarantee!

Don’t Sabotage Your Success by:

1. Attitude: How is your attitude? A negative or bad attitude is one of the common things that can sabotage your success. A negative attitude does not see opportunities when they show themselves and spends too much time focusing on negative rather than positive. A negative attitude will attract more negative. Get a positive attitude and you will get more positive.

2. Fear of Failure: Some people are so afraid of failing they never really start. This is the quickest way to sabotage your success, if you don’t start you can’t finish. Remember that failure is just a stepping stone on the path to success. If you don’t have some failures you are not doing enough. Just do it, if you fail it is just an event. Move on, learn and adjust your strategy.

3. Taking Advice from Someone Who Didn’t: Taking advice from someone who has not been though similar experiences is a sure way to sabotage your success. Get your advice from someone who has been there and done that. The only way you know something is by doing something, otherwise is just something they read, or heard.

4. Thinking Small: Thinking small is a common way of sabotaging your success. Small thinking limits you and your belief in yourself. Thinking big is the first step to doing and being big. Think big, plan big and do big, you can if you decide.

5. No Plan: Stop sabotaging your success and plan your success. Plan it and put it on paper. Remember if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail!

6. Faith in Yourself: You must have faith in yourself. Everyone has incredible talents that will bring them success. Nothing will hold back success quicker than not having faith in yourself. Find those incredible talents that you possess and they will propel you to success at an amazing speed.

7. Fear of Risk: If you are afraid of taking risks you will hamper success. I am not talking about crazy risks, but rather controlled, researched and calculated risks. Sometimes you just need to jump in with both feet and realize that success is your only option. When you take away the safety net you can do amazing things.

8. Procrastination: If you want to undermine your success procrastinate. Success is all about taking action. You snooze, you lose. Don’t put things off, when you get in the habit of getting things done and decisions made in a timely manner you will quickly be moving towards success.

9. Believing Your Beliefs: You can easily hinder your success by believing your way is the only way. Open your mind to different and better ways of doing things. Most people are full of beliefs that control the things that they do and the way that they think. These beliefs can cause you to make decisions and choices that will sabotage your success. Logically evaluate all your choices instead of reacting unconsciously.

10. Doing and No Thinking: When you get started on a project or a goal you might have a tendency to get going immediately, that’s great. But you also need to spend time thinking. Too many people don’t think, I mean really think. Time spent thinking is a great investment in your success. Set aside time for deep thinking that will be without interruption and you will be surprised how beneficial it can be for your success. All doing and no thinking can cripple your success.

There are more ways that people can sabotage their success, but these are the most common. Be on guard for any of these habits or characteristics that could be hindering your success. When they show up in your life adjust and change accordingly and start moving forward.

So, how is that working out for you? You ask yourself questions like: Why haven’t I achieved the suc

So, how is that working out for you? You ask yourself questions like: Why haven’t I achieved the success I have been working towards? What do I need to change for success? Why am I not on schedule of my success plan? What do I need to change for success? These are some hard questions, but ones we need to ask of ourselves as we continue to push forward in the pursuit of our goals.

When I started my working career my basic philosophy of success was to work harder, push harder, no time for fun, I must always be doing something to reach success. I thought I could push and work hard enough to reach success by physical activity. I did not change for success, I just kept working and pushing. I thought all I had to do was work hard enough and success will be mine.

After a few years of this type of thinking I started my life long journey of researching and learning about success. I started reading and listening to recordings (cassette tapes at that time) to learn all I could about achieving success. I started to realize that many of my beliefs were based on my childhood experiences and surroundings of hard work was the key to success. Then the light came on and I realized that I had to change for success.

I am sure you have all heard the saying: Work smarter, not harder. The saying always stuck in my mind, but it took a little time for it to sink in. That is when I started asking myself the questions at the beginning of this post. Most importantly the question, what do I need to change for success? Because of my programming my first response was that the thing I had to change for success was to work harder and differently, but still work harder. WRONG ANSWER.

The thing I needed to change for success was to think (to work smarter). Spending time thinking was not an easy change for me, I kept feeling like I needed to be doing something to move me to success. So, based on everything I learned from my research of success, I forced myself to think and develop a success mindset. This reminds me of a quote from Henry Ford: “thinking is the hardest work you can do”. I think I read that in “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and I think Henry was right. Once I got myself to actually sit in a quiet place without distractions and really think about the what, why and how of my desired success that I started moving forward faster than I ever did in the past. This change for success had made the biggest impact in my results and development of a success mindset.

Don’t get me wrong, we still need to work hard. But there is much more to success than hard work. Make your change for success by taking some un-distracted time to think. I am not talking about 5 or 10 minutes here and there. I am talking about substantial amounts of time on a regular basis. Sit down with a pen and paper and think, take notes of your thoughts and ask yourself questions regarding your success. You will be surprised by the results when you make thinking a regular part of your life.

I am going to go a little Old School on your here, have your ever heard of the Philosophy of Success

I am going to go a little Old School on your here, have your ever heard of the Philosophy of Success that says: You can get whatever it is you want if you help enough other people get what they want. You may have heard it before if have spent any time reading about the principles of success. This saying has been around a long time and has stated the same thing in various ways throughout the years. However the thinking and values remain the same.

When it comes to success in any endeavor no man or woman is an island. What I am trying to say here is that throughout your journey to success you will require some help, favors, guidance, assistance or something from other people. When people provide some or any kind of these aids to your cause they are going to expect something in return. It is just human nature and one of the main beliefs of this philosophy of success.

Another part of this philosophy of success is that order to create financial wealth and success you will be providing a product, service or idea. If you plan to have abundant resources and financial wealth as part of your success you will need to do more than have a job working for an employer. You will need to supply a product, service or idea that helps others solve their problems or get what they want. When you are an employee, you are helping your employer get what they want. When you are a business owner you are helping many people (your customers get what they want).

Therefore when you serve many people by helping them get what they want, they are in turn helping you get what you want. Stand back and take a look at the big picture here and you will see that in this philosophy of success you are a problem solver. No matter what you provide, whether it is a service, idea or product you are helping someone solve their problem or satisfying their need. This doctrine should make the saying of: “You can get whatever it is you want if you help enough other people get what they want” a little easier to understand.

The more people (customers) that you can help get what they want (solve a problem or need) the more you will get that which you want (money). Some people say the this philosophy of success evolved from the “Golden Rule” of “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you”. It sounds quite possible, this axiom still makes sense today.

So remember to help others in your quest for success, you never know who you help they might be someone who can help you or even know someone who can help you achieve your goals. This ideology is more than an Old School saying or conviction, because no one can achieve great success without others.

There are some common traits that successful people possess no matter what profession, job, career o

There are some common traits that successful people possess no matter what profession, job, career or business they are involved. They are not new and exciting, they are actually considered by some to be old and boring. However, the fact remains that these traits, characteristics and attributes are something that you will find in common of successful people. There is nothing new or fancy about these traits, but they are important and critical to your success.

Make these traits of successful people part of you and you will find yourself moving towards success faster than you can imagine.

Traits of Successful People

#1. Successful People Have Character:

They have a sense of right and wrong and are willing to stand up for their beliefs. They are determined to do the right thing regardless if someone is watching or not. They will not compromise their standards for personal gain. A characteristic of successful people is: Do it right or don’t do it. They stand their ground when they know they are right, but are compassionate. Their principles are important in every part of their endeavors for success.

#2. Successful People Hustle:

Have you notice how successful people seem like they are always in a hurry. They walk faster, talk faster and mover faster than most people. They are always moving, thinking and taking action. They are doing and thinking all the time. Start moving at a faster pace. You will find yourself getting more done than the next guy and have more energy. Pick up the pace and you will reach your desired outcome quicker.

#3. Successful People Take Risks:

I am not talking about a night at the casino. I am talking about being, bold, confident and willing to take calculated risks. People that are not willing to take risks rarely become successful people. When opportunity knocks you must be ready to answer the door. Answer the door, do the research and be willing to take a risk. If you make it a habit of passing on opportunities, they will stop coming around. Don’t fear failure, it is just a step on the path to success. Successful people keep moving forward, overcome obstacles and are confident of their abilities.

#4. Successful People Manage Their Time:

It might sound like a cliché, but we all have the same amount of time everyday. The difference is what we choose to do with that time. You can be laying on the couch watching TV or you could be doing something that will bring you closer to achieving your goals. Make time management one of your traits so you can make the most of your 24 hours each day. When you manage your time wisely and break your goals down into small steps you will accomplish more in less time and become a successful person quicker. By managing your time you will never regret what could have been.

#5 Successful People Use Non-Verbal Communication:

It has been said that the impact of our communication consists of 7% words, 38% tone of voice and 55% posture, expression and gestures. Successful people carry themselves confidently, speak clear and loud. Their expressions and gestures match their words and convey an air of success. Pay attention to your posture, facial expressions, gestures and body language. Carry yourself as the successful person you plan to be and you will be amazed by the respect you will command.

These 5 traits and characteristics of successful people can help you move forward to success when you incorporate them into your life along with your goals and personal commitment to success.

Recovering From Failure

Many people have a hard time recovering from failure because they let a failed attempt define them.

Many people have a hard time recovering from failure because they let a failed attempt define them. Everyone fails at something and often many times before they reach any level of success. Failure is part of success, not the ending point. It is part of the process. It is merely one event in the many that lead to your success. Alright, I hear you. You are saying that you have had more than one failure….I say GREAT, now you know not to do things that way again. You have gotten that out of your way and now you can continue moving forward.

I am not making this stuff up, I have experienced many failures in my life and probably more than I would like to admit. But on the other hand I have experienced many successes too. I have spent countless hours, days, months and even years working on goals only to fail. It is very hard to accept and just destroys your self-confidence. That is one of the reasons that I write this blog. There were points in my life that the failures made give up and stop trying…for a short time. That is when I decided to make a lifetime commitment to study success and wealth and overcoming failure.

This blog is what I have learned the hard way about success and moving past failure. Through trial and error, failing and succeeding, living and learning until I realized that failure is only an event, a temporary condition and a stepping stone to success. I learned that how I react and deal with failure is the way to overcome failure. One event does not define a person unless you quit and let failure be your final outcome.

It is time for you to start recovering from failure:

A. It often takes many failures to reach success.

B. Everybody fails before they reach success.

C. A failure in one that gives up and stops trying.

D. Failure is an event, not a person, you are better than that.

E. Failure allows you to know what doesn’t work.

F. A success mindset will overcome failure.

G. Know that failure is moving you one step closer to success.

H. Failure is an outcome, learn, adjust and keep going until you reach the desired outcome.

I. Your programmed beliefs can stop you when you fail, change your beliefs.

J. Attitude is everything when overcoming failure… be positive.

Failure can be compared to taking a wrong turn on a road trip, just get back on the road and keep going in the direction of your desired outcome and move past failure. You can do it, others have and you can too!

If a entry I’ve seen on the iternet it correct, then FaceBook should hit a $1 Billion revenue run rate.

Here’s the story from : http://www.allfacebook.com/2009/12/facebook-to-generate-over-1-billion-next-year/#more-9270

Remember this is none of my writing, please visit the website I’ve got it from.
____________________________________________________________

If a new report from TBI Research is accurate, Facebook “is about to hit a $1 billion annual revenue run-rate”. We have been expecting Facebook to blast through their previously stated $500 million projection for this year, and surpass all the publicly available projected numbers for next year. If all goes well, Facebook could easily surpass $1 billion in revenue next year as the site grows beyond 500 million users.

Growth for Facebook does appear to be slowing down, however a 30 percent growth in the company’s user base is relatively conservative. If at 375 million users the company is able to generate $1 billion annually, Facebook should easily surpass current projections. Facebook is also in the process of making their new Credits platform a more integral part of Facebook.

While it’s too early to project how well Facebook’s Credits platform will perform, the system could easily account for a $500 million boost in revenue once completely integrated into the Facebook Platform. The rationale behind this projection is that Facebook games are nearing $1 billion in annual revenue and we’re still at the early phase of the virtual goods economy.

At this point, many projections are back of the napkin projections, however there’s a strong basis for Facebook to exceed current revenue projections for next year. As for next year’s IPO that many analysts are anticipating, Facebook will need to prove to investors that they have a solid growth for shares to grow in the public markets. For now, we’ll have to keep playing the Facebook valuation parlor game until more information is made available.

You do have one, RIGHT. I am talking about your Success Strategy. You’ve read, studied, investigated

You do have one, RIGHT. I am talking about your Success Strategy. You’ve read, studied, investigated and researched and your ready. Next you get your head on straight and get in the right frame of mind. You have a positive attitude and made a commitment to yourself. OK, you’re starting now! Oh, wait a minute, where are you going ? Did you write a plan? Did you determine how you will get where you want to go? You must have a success strategy!

You can’t even take decent road trip without looking at a map. Unless you are concerned if and when you achieve your goals. If you are not in any hurry to reach success and you don’t mind if it takes 6 months, a year or five years to reach your goals you can just wing it and see what happens. That is what will happen if you achieve them at all without a success strategy.

No Success Strategy = No Success

If you have been winging it and waiting to see what happens, look around. How is that working for you? No success strategy usually equals no or very little success. Are you pleased with your current situation? Yes, there are many things in your life to be grateful for, but are you happy with your progress and success thinking so far in your life?

I am sure you have heard the old saying: “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. That is a very strong statement if you really think about it. If you do not have a success strategy, then you failed to plan……..you know the rest!

Your Success Strategy is Your Map To Success

The good news is that it does not matter how old or young you are, there is still time to develop a success strategy. Whether retirement is in your near future or you just got out of school there is still time to develop a strategy for success. Start with the end result or desired outcome and start working backwards in your mind. Visualize the steps in reverse so you can focus on success and determine the small steps you need to take to get there and make that part of your success mindset.

What is it, that you want? How and where do you want to live? How would you like to spend your days?

Start with the three questions above and start your success strategy from there. Create a time line between the answer to those three questions and today. On your time line determine what will have to be done or achieved in order to reach your desired outcome working backwards.

Now start planning your success strategy and expect to achieve the answer to those three questions. If you planned a trip by car from New York to Chicago and you got lost halfway there would you turn around and go back, start living in Ohio or keep going until you got to Chicago? Silly question, right. Well the same goes for your success strategy, you keep on going until you get there. So, keep going until you get there, you will sooner or later if you just keep going. Create a success strategy of your own and build a mindset of success or even a millionaire mindset.

Do you speak the language of success and wealth? How you talk to yourself and others has an impact on your success and wealth. We all have an inner dialogue that is a part of us and reinforces our beliefs. These beliefs are what helps us reach the success and wealth we desire or they limit our choices, decisions and effectiveness. Notice your inner language of success and wealth and determine if it is serving you and aligned with your goals for success.

Here are some simple phrases we use everyday that make up our language of success and wealth. Listen to yourself and start using the phrases on the left to replace the phrases on the right. Making a habit of speaking the language of success and wealth to reinforce and develop your success mindset.

Language of Success and Wealth Phrases

I am…..instead of…..I think or I might
I Choose…..instead of…..I will probably
I Know…..instead of…..I think
I can…..instead of…..I can’t
I will…..instead of…..I want to
Outcome…..instead of…..Failure
Definite…..instead of…..most likely
Now…..instead of…..soon
I will…..instead of…..I should or I’ll try
Today…..instead of…..tomorrow
Challenge…..instead of…..task
Committed…..instead of…..I think I can
Create…..instead of…..I will see
Moving forward…..instead of…..plugging along
Yes or No…..instead of….. maybe
Next…..instead of…..now what
Accomplish…..instead of…..try
Opportunity…..instead of…..problem
Deserve…..instead of…..wish
Assist…..instead of…..help
Yes, I can…..instead of…..I hope so

The language of success and wealth is one of positive statements rather than negative. When you do anything with the right attitude, you will find that it is easier and smoother to accomplish. Be aware of your words and internal self talk and then start changing it to support our own language of success and wealth. Very often the words you use are habits, and like all habits it takes some effort to change them. When you change them you will have success with money.

Change your language of success and wealth and you will also see a change in your life.

Some of the keys to success have to do with your beliefs and values. Do you believe in yourself and

Some of the keys to success have to do with your beliefs and values. Do you believe in yourself and your abilities? Do you have a success mindset? Are you a self-disciplined person? Do you finish what you start? What is success to you?

There are many keys to success, here are just a few that can make a big difference in your success.

Keys To Success #1: Faith in Yourself

Way too many people do not have the faith in themselves that they need to become successful. There is proof and evidence everywhere that proves that you can be a success. Look around you, if others have done it, then you can too! If the first thing that comes to mind is why you can’t do it, then you need to change your thinking.

Everyone has special talents that they can use to be extremely successful. Discovering those talents are something that you have to do for yourself. What is it that you love to do, something that you would still do if you were wealthy and did not need a source of income. One of the keys to success is finding your special talents and doing something you love to do.

When it comes right down to the facts, there is only one person holding you back or making you successful and that is you. You are the one that is in control and holding the keys to success. Have faith in yourself and you can move mountains. If there are things that you do not know, learn them and be the success that you have the potential to be.

Keys To Success #2: Live In The Moment And Keep Moving Forward

One of the keys to success is being able to see the success you desire. Everybody makes mistakes and has failures, don’t let that stop you. The most successful people in the world have made more mistakes and had more failures than you will ever know. Making mistakes and experiencing failure will move you forward, they will prove to you what does not work in your quest for success. Learn from your mistakes, but don’t dwell on them, keep moving forward.

Know what you want and go out and get it. Be persistent and work through all the obstacles, road blocks and failures until you get there. Develop a success mindset and make a commitment to yourself that you will achieve your goals. The keys to success are inside of you, use them and be successful.

Keys To Success #3: Respect Yourself and Others

Respecting yourself and others are one of the keys to success. When you respect yourself you have self-esteem and self-confidence. You know that you can do what you set your mind to do. Don’t beat yourself up when you have problems and failures, it is just another step on the road to success. We are always our own worst critic, but respecting yourself is one of the keys to success.

Just as should respect yourself, you should also respect others. You don’t have to agree with them, but respect their choices and opinions. They are not yours, but you can still respect them. Have you ever heard the saying that the quickest way to success is helping others get theirs. You never know when these people might be able to help you on your climb up the ladder to success. Respecting others is one of the keys to success.

You hold the keys to success, use them to unlock the doors that hold you back and experience the success you desire. You can do it, others have and you can too!

The why and what of success is a question that you may need to be asking yourself. Everything that everybody does is for a reason and every-body’s reason is different. When we are talking about Success, most people think of making money and the accumulation of wealth. Not that money is good or bad, it just what comes to mind when they think of being successful. However one of the first things that needs to be determined when setting goals or undertaking any task is the What of Success.

The what of success is what you want or what you are trying to accomplish in your quest for success. Your what of success can be money, a business, a new home, losing weight, getting healthy and any number of things. I will use money for an example What of Success because it is very common among people who I meet and receive emails.

These people say they want more money and/or they want to be rich. They don’t have a plan or even a goal set to fulfill their want of more money. They just want more money and they want it now. When you ask them how much money and they don’t know that either, if you force them into an amount, the most common answer is a million dollars. What do you think is the likelihood of them getting or having a million dollars is based on their answers above………NONE. They don’t have a what of success, they have a daydream and nothing more.

In all of the philosophies, methods, techniques, and even The Secret you need to start out with your what of success. What is it that you want that means success to you. It does not matter what it is, but it has to be something. It has to be something that can be seen, counted or measured is some way. It has to be detailed and specific so you will know it when you get it or achieve it. If it is money, how much. If it is a home, how big and how many square feet, what color, how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms, where is it located. If it is losing weight, how many pounds. You can’t even set a decent goal with terms like lots of money, big house, or some weight. The first step is your What of Success, know EXACTLY what you want. Then you can get to work on the setting the goal.

Now that you know your what of success the next question is why. Why do you want what you want. This question will take some soul-searching if your do it properly. Like most peoples answers they want more money, but why do they want more money. Do they want more money so they can pay the bills and not feel bad when the bill collectors call. Do they want more money so they can have freedom, security and independence that will allow them to be creative in a field of their choice. Many people want more money just so they can have choices, others want power and influence, some want respect and some are just about the security. Knowing the TRUE why you want your what for success will help you choose a path or field that better suits the real you.

When you know your why and what for success then it is time to get started setting your goals and making your plans to achieve the desired outcome or success.

When it comes to setting goals there is more involved than writing out a statement or two if you want to achieve success. You are going to be changing almost every aspect of your life in order to achieve these goals. Depending on your goals you could be giving up or exchanging all or part of your life to pursue and achieve these goals. Setting goals should not be taken lightly.

Setting goals can be compared to the foundation of a building. You can’t build a strong, stable building without a good foundation. No matter how good a building you build, when it sits on a poor or sloppy foundation you won’t have much of a building.

Since you will be investing so much of your time, money, labor, mental and physical energy to achieve your goals you should spend time to build a good foundation by setting goals the S.M.A.R.T. way. Smart goals will require taking some time when setting goals, but the time invested will be well worth the effort. The extra time involved setting goals will provide you with a good strong foundation for building your success.

SMART Way of Setting Goals

S-Specific: Be Specific. Whatever the desired outcome of your goal may be, it should be a specific as possible. The more detail, the better. When setting goals they should be stated in present terms.

M-Measurable: Your goals must be able to be measured in some way. It should be very clear and easy to know exactly what the achieved goal consists of, such as the amount of dollars if the goal is money or owning a certain home if that is the goal. Set goals that are easily measured, counted or visible to anyone.

A-Achievable: Is your goal achievable? Has someone done something similar? Do you believe you can achieve the goal? As you are setting goals, you need to believe and know that you can achieve this goal.

R-Realistic: Being realistic is not meant to hold you back when setting goals, but they need to be realistic to you. Many people may discredit your goals by saying that can’t be done, but you have to determine if it is realistic for you to achieve the goal. If you are not sure of your goal being realistic set a smaller goal, you can always set another goal.

T-Timed: While setting goals be sure to set a time limit to each goal. When a goal has time frame in which it must be achieved there is an urgency created in your mind. Your goal can also be broken down into parts that must be accomplished by predetermined dates and times.

After spending the time of setting goals to meet the above criteria the next step is to write them down on paper. Writing your goals by hand with pen and paper creates a stronger impression on your mind and a stronger commitment.

Have you ever asked yourself how or what you think about money? If you haven’t then it’s probably time to do that. Most people have some very rigid beliefs about money that don’t serve them and/or some of those beliefs can sabotage their efforts to earn, save and control money. The way you think about money has everything to do with the results you get when it comes to money.

Let’s start with a scenario that is very common to many people and the way they think about money. These are hard-working, both male and female, good people who go to work everyday and have dreams of making more money. They work good jobs and have for years, but they are unfulfilled. They have dreams of owning their own business or climbing the ladder in their field or even doing something they love and making more money.

When it comes to how they think about money, they are often frustrated in their efforts to make more money. They work hard and have a good attitude, at least most of the time. They move a couple steps forward through their hard work and efforts and then something happens to knock them back to where they were. Their thoughts are always focused on money. They think about money all the time, how save it, how to earn more of it, how to reduce expenses and any way they can have more money. What is the secret to wealth they wonder.

This is the person that gets a bonus at work or makes a little extra money and then something happens that requires that extra money. Maybe the car breaks down or a home repair that needs taken care of and they get frustrated and start telling themselves that they can’t get ahead. That every time they move small steps forward, something happens and they end up taking a step back. These people have limiting beliefs in the way they think about money.

Almost everybody has limiting beliefs about something. Our example above is a person that has limiting beliefs when it comes to the way they think about money. These beliefs about money were probably formed during their childhood and left unchanged into their adult life. The way they think about money may have been an example set by parents and they never changed that belief.

Did you ever notice that rich people have children that are usually rich too? The difference is the way they think about money. Yes, there are some that are just living off their parents money, but usually they learned how they think about money by being around their parents. During their childhood their beliefs about money were formed by people who had money. They believe that money is easy to come by and that they can earn or make as much as they want.

Do yourself a favor and spend some quiet time alone to understand how you think about money. When you start understanding how you think about money, you can make the changes you need to make. There are other posts in the category of money beliefs that may help you better understand how and what you think about money.

The last of the 4 Pillars of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is Behavior Flexibility or as I like

The last of the 4 Pillars of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is Behavior Flexibility or as I like to call it Change for Success. This basis of this pillar of NLP is that we have the power to change our behavior. Like the old saying goes: Do the same thing and you will get the same results.

After looking at NLP we understand that we all have habits and beliefs that we may not even realize that we have and that they can, and often do control things that we do. NLP has a variety of methods and tools to help us discover and change for success, the habits and beliefs (success mindset), and ultimately our behavior so that we can experience success or the desired outcome.

You Must Change for Success

We talked about making better use of our 5 senses as one of the other pillars of NLP and how we can build rapport as the first pillar of NLP. When we use our 5 senses fully, we can understand and build better rapport with ourselves and others which combined with Outcome Thinking will ultimately be a change for success when we modify our behavior. When you change your behavior, you will change your results. If the results or outcome are not the desired outcome then we will change our behavior again and again until we experience the desired outcome. Change for success will result in your goals achieved and a success mindset.

Hopefully I have explained the 4 pillars of NLP clearly enough that you can see how all of the pillars work together and support each other. Change for success or any other type of change can be difficult for many people, but when you understand how you process your world and how that can affect and control your thoughts and actions, change for success will become easier.

Change for Success with NLP

By using the tools and methods of NLP you can better understand some of the questions that you have asking yourself when it comes to success. Many, many people actually sabotage their own success without ever realizing that they are the ones that are doing that. If you have been sabotaging your success or asking yourself “why” then NLP may be able to help your change for success just as it has helped countless others.

In future posts I will cover specific NLP techniques and methods that you can use to change your beliefs and habits, and then you can change for success.

The third pillar in the Pillars of NLP is Outcome Thinking. The is nothing mysterious about Outcome

The third pillar in the Pillars of NLP is Outcome Thinking. The is nothing mysterious about Outcome Thinking, it is how you look at the tasks or sub-goals on route to your main goal. When it comes to the completion or attempt of a goal, small steps to a goal or a task we pass judgment on as a success or failure. With outcome thinking the results are the outcome or the desired outcome.

When you use the success or failure description you move into a negative mode for failure and a positive mode for success. When you choose to look at the task or small steps as a failure, the negative mode that it produces may stop you from moving forward and could even cause you to abandon the main goal completely. Now your mind has another failure that it has to overcome before your reach the success you desire. Outcome thinking is not negative or positive is simply an outcome.

Let’s stand back a minute and look at the big picture here with Outcome Thinking. When you have one of those days that you have a bunch of tasks that you need to accomplish you might make a list of the places you need to go and what you need to do at each place (the main goal is to complete these tasks). You get in the car and go to the post office and mail your package, then you get back in the car and go to the cleaners and pick up the dry cleaning, then back in the car again and head to the grocery store, but there is a train on the railroad tracks that you can’t get past.

According to Outcome Thinking you have accomplished 2 of the three tasks and you are stuck at the railroad crossing, the current outcome. You can’t get to the grocery store and get the food that you need to get in order to accomplish your main goal or reach the desired outcome. You look at your results so far and you have three choices, do you abandon the goal, find a way around the train tracks, or do you go to a different grocery store and get your food in order to reach your desired outcome.

Sounds like a silly question, right. You are going to analyze your outcome according to Outcome Thinking and make a choice. You wouldn’t abandon the goal, you would choose the second or third option and reach your desired outcome.

When it comes to Outcome Thinking you decide on the goal and continue moving forward and making choices based on your outcome at any given time during the process untill your reach the desired outcome. There is really no difference in a To Do list of a few errands and a goal that increases your income, losing weight or starting a business. Outcome Thinking has us making adjustments until we reach the desired outcome, rather than failure or success.

Moving on to the next pillar of NLP, the Power of Your Senses. We all have 5 senses or modalities that we use everyday, but most people don’t fully utilize those senses. All of us at times have looked and not seen, listened and not heard, touch and not felt, ate without tasting and talked without thinking. These senses can can make a huge difference in our success when they are actually used, that is the reason for the title of this post. Can you see, hear and feel success is a question that we all need to ask ourselves.

As I talked about in the previous post on Rapport and NLP, we communicate with our world and more importantly ourselves through our 5 senses or modalities. The power of our senses is the way that we can see, hear and feel success (or lack of), but if we are not fully using those senses we are missing a critical part of the picture of our success.

When we set a goal we write it out and focus on the outcome, work through the small steps, measure the advancement and hopefully we visualize the goal accomplished or the desired outcome. When you visualize your success do you also see, hear and feel success?

In the post on rapport I talked about our main modality or sense that each of us uses to take in our world and how some people are better reached through one or the other sense. The example was someone selling a customer their product. Well, we are no different. You need to communicate with yourself and get the message to your subconscious mind in order to align both minds with your goal. To get the goal through to the subconscious mind, you need to use your main modality. You need to see, hear and or feel success.

Methods to Visualize Your Goal by Modality:

Visual Person: See the goal achieved. See a movie of you enjoying and living the life of your goal already achieved. Make your internal movie screen bigger and brighter. Make the colors more vivid.
Auditory Person: See the goal achieved like the above method, but add the soundtrack of your success. Hear people congratulating you or any of the sounds of you enjoying your success. Hear people asking how you did it. Hear all the people talking and laughing at a party celebrating your success. Make the volume louder.
Kinesthetic or Feeling Person: See the movie, hear the sounds, and feel success from people who you love and respect. Feel the pride from your spouse, children or parents. Feel success from yourself, knowing that you achieved your goal. Make the feelings stronger.

I have talked very little about the other senses, but they can also play an important role in your communication with yourself. When using the above methods to see, hear and feel success you can add the smells and tastes that would compliment your mind movie of success. Using all 5 senses in your success mind movie would be the most efficient way to communicate with your subconscious mind.

These are some examples of how you can see, hear and feel success. Use your imagination and come up with ones that are important to you and based on the main senses you use to take in your world. All of the pillars of NLP are critical to your success, but your senses can move things along much faster.

Rapport is the basis for efficient communication between two or people. When two people have rapport

Rapport is the basis for efficient communication between two or people. When two people have rapport, they have a bond of some type that connects them and makes their communication trusted and respected. This is the kind of rapport for success that we will be looking at here.

Some people are very good at building rapport very quickly, some of these people have these skills naturally and others have learned these rapport for success skills. One of the highest paying jobs is selling. The best sales people usually have the best rapport building skills.

One example that comes to mind is a car salesman. The professional car salesman can earn a very good living with their rapport building skills (I am not talking about the cheesy used car salesman, I said professional). The professional salesman has learned to build rapport very quickly. I am sure we have all come across a salesman that we have connected with.

The successful car salesman will listen very carefully and notice all your reactions, words, and expressions. I had a couple friends in the car business and they are very familiar with building rapport for success. One of the methods they use to build rapport quickly is called “Mirroring your Customer”. This is a simple process of being like your customer. If they talk fast and move fast, so do you. They talk slow, so do you. They mirror their customer as much as possible and the rapport building starts. From there they listen to their words and use them in the same way as the customer. The car sales people with good rapport building skills make a very good income. This is just one example that I thought we could all relate to when it comes to building rapport for success. Successful sales people in all fields use rapport to sell their products.

In an earlier post we talked about the NLP modalities or senses when it comes to communication. We talked about each person having a different and preferred modality when they take in any type of communication. When you are aware of and deal with them via their main NLP modality you will get their attention and build rapport quickly. By listening closely and conversing with a person can figure out their main modality.

The visual person: “I see what you mean” or “show me the plan”
The auditory person: “I hear what you are saying” or “that sounds good to me”
The kinesthetic person: “I have a good feeling about that” or “I feel that will work out”

The last two modalities of taste and smell are rarely the main modalities, but they can be used in combination with the others. Have your ever heard of a Real Estate Agent baking cookies in a house that they are showing? The rapport for success intent is to stimulate an earlier experience, probably a childhood memory that will make them feel good in the house and relate it to an earlier time.

When a professional salesman is selling their product to a person they should try to determine their main modality and then communicate the features and benefits of their products in that modality. This is the kind of rapport for success that sell products and creates top sales people. This is just one aspect of NLP that can help you in your quest for success.

When it comes to the study of NLP The 4 Pillars of NLP are the basis of the philosophy. I did not cover the 4 Pillars earlier because some of the terms and areas that I mentioned earlier are part of NLP and it may make it easier to understand. The 4 Pillars to Success of NLP are as follows:

1. NLP Pillar: Rapport

Yes, the same rapport that you think of when you talk about getting along with people, only much deeper. The rapport that you use to build relationships with others and most importantly yourself when we are talking about achieving success (or outcome in NLP terms). With our focus on Success we will be discovering the aspects of rapport that you may currently use and more importantly the rapport that you will learn to use to get people to cooperate and do what you want them to do and yourself. For most people who seek success learning to get yourself to do what needs to be done is a critical part of the 4 pillars of success with NLP.

2. NLP Pillar: Power of Your Senses

We are all familiar with our 5 senses of sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. This pillar of the 4 Pillars to Success with NLP explores just how powerful these senses can be and how they can be used in ways that allow you to live a much richer life and greatly contribute to your success.

3. NLP Pillar: Outcome Thinking

This part of the 4 Pillars to Success with NLP is about thinking in terms of outcome rather than Success or Failure. When you shift your thinking to Outcome thinking your focus will be on the outcome of every task or sub-goal of the main goal. When the task has not produced the outcome that you wanted or expected, change the method until you get the desired income.

Just imagine that you were on a driving trip from Chicago to New York, this is your goal. While driving you make a wrong turn and your outcome has you going in the wrong direction. This outcome is not going to take you to your goal, so you make an adjustment in order to get back on track to your goal. If you made this wrong turn would you say that you failed and go back to Chicago? Silly question, but this is how many people pursue their goals. Outcome thinking replaces success or failure thinking with outcome or desired outcome.

4. NLP Pillar: Behavior Adjust-ability

It is just like it sounds, You already have the ability to change and adjust your behavior based on your outcomes and desired outcomes. NLP will help you change the things about you that you have had trouble changing and even those that you were unaware of that hold you back from reaching your desired outcome. That is probably the main reason you are reading this right now. You know that you can achieve success, but are struggling, trying and wondering why the success or the desired outcome has not been reached. This is the pillar of the 4 Pillars to Success with NLP where the rubber hits the road and you change what you need to change.

NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programming has helped many understand and change their behavior with the varied assortment of tools and techniques so they can experience their desired outcome or success.

Next post will address Rapport and how you can benefit.

Following up from the last post “No Failure or Success With NLP“we continue on to presupposition #3

Following up from the last post “No Failure or Success With NLP“we continue on to presupposition #3 Every Behavior Has A Positive Intention (behavior and intention). This presupposition states that every thing we do has a positive intention. You can witness many things that people have done and have a hard time trying to figure out the positive intention of their acts.

For example a group of teenagers are hanging out together and one teenager shoplifts something from a store, we all know that this act is wrong, but he has won the acceptance and respect of his peers. This was the motivating factor and a positive intention from his mind map, and also feedback and a desired outcome. His behavior and intention may have been misdirected, but they had a positive intention.

Behavior and Intention Conditioning

Let’s look at a slightly different example: There is a parent that spanks his child for misbehavior in an effort to teach the child and modify the child’s behavior. The parent grew up in a household where spanking was an acceptable and often preferred method of behavior modification. This parent never heard of “time outs” or anything other than spanking. Now that parent is considered a child abuser. The parent loves their child and is practicing the only behavior modification method they know of, if this parent was taught alternative methods of teaching their child to behave they would have used a more acceptable method. The parent used a method that they believed had a positive intention (behavior and intention).

Success with Behavior and Intention

When we pursue the success we desire or the desired outcome, we take all the steps the we BELIEVE to be the way to success. We have the best intentions to do everything we need to do to reach that desired outcome or goal. Are you getting the picture? If we KNOW what it takes to reach the desired outcome we would already have the desired outcome. Sounds like some kind of wild New Age type of thinking doesn’t it. Well it’s not, read on.

You have heard the stories of people becoming incredibly rich and successful and then loosing everything. Then they start over and in a very short time they have become rich and successful once again. Everyone asks how did they do that, how did they get so rich so fast after loosing everything. The answer is that they KNOW how to, they work for success. They have a mindset of success. They did it once and they can do it over and over again. They KNOW because they have been there and done that. You don’t KNOW something until you have done it, you may have read it or heard it, but you don’t know it until you have done it.

In the last post I was talking about NLP and presuppositions or the way you view and process your world. The first supposition was mapping or your mind map. Supposition # 2 is; There is no success or failure, only feedback and outcomes. I don,t know if this just a nice way of saying failure or success, but when you read a little farther and learn more you can make your own decision.

There is a difference between what we observe and what we believe.

From that statement you can see that this also has a lot to do with supposition #1, your mind map. When it comes to doing a task or project we normal say it was a failure or success. In the realm of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) when you perform a task there are certain steps to complete any task. By performing these tasks your receive feedback. The feedback may be that the completion or performance of these tasks produced a result or outcome. basically the same as failure or success of the task or tasks.

Being that we are talking about NLP we will drop the failure or success and go with the feedback and outcome. This is not something new, we have heard this from many philosophers when it comes to the study of success and perseverance. I remember this from “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill when he was talking about Thomas Edison. If you recall Thomas Edison invented the light bulb and it took him 9,999 attempts before the 10,000 attempt worked as he envisioned (desired outcome). In short he said that the feedback and outcome of each attempt was recorded and adjusted or changed with the next attempt until the desired outcome was achieved. He said he knew 9,999 ways that did not work (feedback). Some call it failure or success while NLP calls it outcome and desired outcome.

It is said that this way of looking at the process removes any judgment and possible negativity that you may attach to it based on your mind map. Most people have powerful reaction when it comes to failure or success. When you stand back and take a look at this philosophy it makes sense.

When we set a goal, we break it down into small steps that make the goal easier to achieve and track our progress. Just as Thomas Edison practiced, the method of analyzing the feedback of the outcome, and then tracking and adjusting the attempts until we reach the desired outcome sounds better than failure or success.

So when we talk about persistence and perseverance in the pursuit of success, it is really a matter of receiving feedback and adjusting our methods, tactics, and attempts until we achieve the desired result. Maybe that is why Thomas Edison was such an incredible inventor and a very successful business man, his mind map processed his work as outcomes and desired outcomes rather than failure or success (interesting thought).

Next post will be supposition #3 Behavior and Intention

Your map to success and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the next post after the “Success Progr

Your map to success and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the next post after the “Success Programming with NLP” post. At the end of that post I talked about the way that we are influenced, conditioned and react to previous experiences, often without ever knowing that we are. To move forward I want to talk about our maps and how you can create a map to success for yourself.

The term “map” is a common term in NLP. When it comes to NLP, your map it is like any map, it represents how you are programmed, behave, react and relate to the world around you. If we are going create a map to success we will need to change this programming and behavior, and our maps. Most peoples maps were determined and influenced by environment, parents, friends, family members, experiences and yourself.

When you change your map you can become the person that you want to be, the whole idea and practice of NLP is about changing your map and removing the subconscious barriers, obstacles and roadblocks that often keep you from reaching the success you desire. In other posts on success I have talked about your programming and beliefs and persistence required to change and break through that programming, while NLP is all about changing that programming and creating a map to success.

The best part is that you created your map and you can change it. Whether you have a map to success, failure, mediocrity or somewhere in between, everybody has a different map and processes events and circumstances differently. For that reason NLP is not an exact science, it is very personal for each person. You can see the evidence of this in everyday life by observing the way that people react to events and experiences and whether they have a positive attitude or a negative attitude. NLP can be used to change your map in every aspect of life, but the focus here at Be Wealth Minded will be to remove the barriers and create a map to success.

They use a phrase “The Map Is Not The Territory” in NLP which basically comes down to the map is merely a representation of reality and not the reality. Just as a map to success is not success, but a representation. As I said earlier, the map is not the person, but a current snapshot of their perception of reality that can, and usually is updated constantly when there is new or believed to be better information. An example might be when someone shows you how to do something differently than the way you have been doing it for years. After they show you, you decide that the new way is a better way and then you change your map when it comes to doing that task. The intent is to show you how change and create your map to success with this series of posts.

The important part of the last two statements are that you believe and decide that the new way, really is a better way to accomplish that task. If you do not believe it is a better way based on your mind map and programming, you will dismiss the new way and continue to do the task as you always have. That is a simplified version of changing your mind map, because often times our mind and our map holds on to the old programming from past experiences. NLP may be the answer to the questions you have been asking about success and creating your own map to success.

When you map out your world it is called a presupposition. How you view you world is a presupposition. When you change your presuppositions you will realize that you can have the life you desire. You can have a mind map to success. You will be asking yourself why you did not do this years ago.

The next post will include the two other suppositions…I will post this tomorrow.

In the last post I wrote about NLP and how others process and take in the world and their experience

In the last post I wrote about NLP and how others process and take in the world and their experiences. In this post I will talk about how we process and store our experiences and ultimately create our success programming.

It is said that our subconscious mind stores every incident, scene, smell, taste and word that we experience. Some of these experiences we can recall in an instant. Others we can’t consciously remember, no matter how hard we try. These experiences are what makes up our success programming, or lack of. No matter what your age or experiences, the total of these experiences are a staggering amount of information. Just imagine how much information that would be if it were written on paper, and if you are 50 years old you have twice as much information as a 25-year-old person. Your success programming is just a small part of that information.

Since we have this information in our subconscious mind, we naturally have something of a filing system to keep this all organized. Some of this information can be success programming and some others parts of your life. It does not matter if you are neat and tidy person or a messy person, your mind will file this information. For the sake of explaining this filing system, think of your mind as having a little person in your head taking each experience and putting it in a file folder and then putting in the appropriate drawer, under the appropriate category in the giant bank of file cabinets in your subconscious mind.

Imagine an experience you had besides your success programming (I will get to that). Let’s say the experience is one of love for the sake of illustration. The little filing person goes to the file cabinet that is marked love, and then opens the drawer to file your experience and there are different tabs of files such as love of spouse, child, parent, friend, aunt, uncle……I can keep going. Let’s select spouse, then inside that tab is where this experience gets filed.

Then you are in the middle of an experience with your spouse and there are choices or decisions to be made. So your little filing person runs to the file drawer and looks up past experiences with your spouse. You then make that decision or choice based on those files. If the current experience is similar (notice I said similar, not the same) in any way to a previous experience with your spouse you will make that choice or decision based on the previous experience, and usually without thinking. I said choice or decision, but it is really a reaction. This unconscious reaction could trigger an argument or fight with your spouse. Not because an argument was warranted, but because of a reaction triggered by previous experiences. Then this experience gets filed and could potentially cause another argument in the future. Not exactly success programming when it comes to your relationship with your spouse.

Let’s move on to success programming when it comes to career, money and business. Where these are concerned you already have a file drawer full of experiences that has been influencing your success programming. When you become aware of an opportunity for success you will analyze this opportunity and make a choice or reaction based on your previous experiences that may be similar. It may be an excellent opportunity, but something about this opportunity triggers something similar in your filing system and you decide to pass. The reason that you passed on this opportunity is not that you fully analyzed the information, but rather that you attached it to a previous similar experience. The previous experience could have been something your heard, read or felt that was similar (not the same, similar).

To take this a step farther, let’s say for an example you decide to start a part-time home business that you believe fits with your success programming. It may be an extension of a hobby or something you enjoy and heard that there was lots of money to be made in this type of business. You are excited about the possibilities of the extra income and the potential to grow this business into a full-time venture that would allow you to quit your job and enjoy a life of freedom and abundance. Your are including this vision into your success programming and you have committed to do what it takes to reach your goal. You then have a mindset of success, sounds great, doesn’t it?

So you start your part-time business and get to work. You have taken all the steps, you did all your research, you focus on success, you made a plan, you set goals, you are putting all your available time into this business venture to achieve success. You keep moving forward and following your plan as part of your success programming that you have heard or read. Your success thinking keeps you going and you expect success regardless of obstacles and roadblocks. At this point your NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programming kicks in rather than your success programming. You are starting to question why you are not making as much money as you thought you would and you start attaching previous similar experiences of things you heard or read. You might even attach feelings of disappointment or frustration even if they are not from a business venture. They could be any of the 5 NLP modalities that are similar to the frustration or disappointment you may have experienced in the past regardless of your success programming.

Now that you have attached similar previous experiences of frustration and disappointment, you start to create doubt in your mind about your business venture. Then you not only attached disappointment and frustration, but now you are also attaching doubt. You are determined to forge ahead, but you attached feelings of disappointment, frustration and doubt. With these attached feelings may come reactions that are not part of the success mindset that is required to achieve the goals. These reactions will then cause effort and decisions that are not in keeping with success programming. After that feelings of failure can become attached to previous experiences of failure. With all these attachments growing and increasing in influence a decision may come down to call it quits.

Now there a previous experience of failure in the file drawer that may be referenced and reacted to in future attempts. Sounds depressing, like what’s the sense of trying to succeed. Well, don’t take that attitude, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I will write more posts on this subject of NLP and success programming to better understand and change this type of programming that you may possess.

You can succeed and change the influence that past experiences can have on your success.
