Groźna łatka Windowsa XP Cyberprzestępcy pod pretekstem aktualizacji systemu Windows XP wprowadzili

Groźna łatka Windowsa XP

Cyberprzestępcy pod pretekstem aktualizacji systemu Windows XP wprowadzili do wielu komputerów niebezpiecznego robaka znanego wcześniej jako Trojan.Generic.171369.

Tomasz Zamarlik G Data Software „Cyberprzestępcy obiecując w temacie wiadomości aktualizacje dla Windows XP SP3 „Critical Update for Windows XP SP3” zachęcają ofiarę do otwarcia załączonego folderu.

Generic.171369. Ponad to szkodnik ten ingeruje w funkcje autostartu.

Eksperci użytkownikom zalecają usunąć załącznik z powyższych e-maili i aktualizację przeprowadzać bezpośrednio z systemu Windows poprzez narzędzia dostępne w panelu „Centrum zabezpieczeń”.

Have you given them the justice..?? do you think only mourning helps??

The people responsible for this are yet to face the judgment… they are given a treatment that is definitely not befitting to what they have done… and wat is the response to all this??

Even more minimalist I’m still not sure it’s clean enough. Opinions on that drop shadow around the box?

Same old flickr feed and free gallery.

In other news, while not implemented, I did purchase a copy of monoslideshow so perhaps I’ll get that up soon. It looks promising. I need more time.

Also, the contact form is purposefully broken. It work(ed) but I got so much spam from the first 24 hours of having it up I’ve disabled it until I can get a spambot proof version up.

Well, I was having some trouble and then fixed it so I might as well document it for future reference.

The problem: I’m running Windows 7 and my ipod touch 2gen won’t sync with itunes.

My hardware: Asus P7P55D motherboard with Intel i7 processor. USB is based directly off the motherboard.

Symptoms: I could plug in my ipod and get the windows ‘USB found!” sound, but it didn’t show up in “My Computer” under devices and itunes gave me error 0xE000065 which isn’t terribly helpful other than to google help.

I tried first: restarting various things (drivers etc) and setting the “AppleMobileDeviceHelper” process into compatibility mode (and admin run) as per a forum’s suggestion.

Uninstall and reinstall itunes (both 64 and 32 bit versions) and apple drivers. (forums led me to check the MTP problems within the USB with no avail.

People have tried PCI based USB and it seemed to work for them. Since I didn’t really want to buy new hardware I kept searching.

Also, I tried two itunes alternatives (Media Monkey and Sharepod) which both refused to find my ipod connection. This is weird because remember, the computer was getting some sort of USB connection, the ipod charged and made the plugged in sound.

Also tried “uninstalling” (unchecking the control panel box for) windows media player (which apparently helped others)

Nothing worked in the software / drivers so I dug deeper: the bios.

The true solution:

On my particular hardware’s bios there is an option for “Intel C-State” which was disabled previously. I enabled it and booted. It worked.

As was explained on a forum (and my further research revealed) C-state refers to the processor’s idle speed. (please excuse my probably inaccurate lay-mans description) and the power consumption of the entire PC. This included USB ports.

So, it seemed safe enough to enable and seems to solve my ipod /itunes issues. If my tower gets unstable in the near future I’ll update this post.

Hope that helps!

2nd post in a row is linked to me teen years. Recently an old friend and emcee partner of mine tagge

2nd post in a row is linked to me teen years. Recently an old friend and emcee partner of mine tagged this pretty oldishly uploaded photo on Facebook of me (the photo itself however was about 6-7 years old). And she didn’t tag herself hmm~

That was Chinese New Year celebrations in either 2002 or 2003. I remember shopping for that outfit with me Che and Bro-in-law around Chinatown at night I think. I still have it and it’s still huge.

Goodness I look young. I don’t even look like I was about to take my ‘N’s or ‘O’s that year.

Heck, now that I’ve reached my quarter-mark in life, I look back and realise, “Knnb, I was a heck of a dorky kid.”

I tell you, I have a knack for remembering loads of the embarrassing stuff that’s happened to me over the years.. I don’t know why.

Stuff I figured to be cool wasn’t so cool actually. I didn’t react in situations in ways that I should’ve.

I was a wallflower that grew into a dork. At least now I’m a dork that’s grown into someone who’s normal, stable, and quite a hermit..

It’s still an improvement okaez~

Anywayz, Cat High had loads of fun in it, but it was all mainly within the class, the groups, the closer friends. It was micro-fun, and it helped create the base of my Singaporean stereotypical kantang tag. Like I always said, 2000 was one of my funnest years ever.

But, Braddell-Westlake really grew me up a lot. I really mean a LOT.

To be a scientist, and an asshole, it taught me a lot about the another side other than my comfortable-terrace-living world.

As a boyfriend, the lady friends I had taught me tons about how not to be a bad boyfriend. I’m not perfect, but I’ve certainly avoided tons of those mistakes those other guys have.

As a guy friend, having all those lady friends and a giant misunderstanding fucked me up, but that’s ok, some of them were dicks anyway~

But as a person? BWSS brought to me a lot of confidence and self-assurance. Sadly though, it had to be taught through a phase of potential egocentrism and problems with self-acceptance. (Point a1 linked with b1, and a2 with b2, please.)

The first point(s) were brought about by that picture and some. If I was never asked to be emcee, I wouldn’t have developed as much confidence in myself as I would’ve.

It was a pretty big deal for wallflower-me to be asked to do something big because of something I could do. Honestly it was a great boost, but dorky me had problems handling it maturely and it tinged it into an ego-problem at times. More closetly than openly though, heng ah.. or so I believe.

And I think I really was meant to be in the normal stream. Not so much because I’m academically challenged, I’m pretty fuckin’ smart, thank you very much!, but because I perform better when I’m not the worst in the pack. (Oh like that is a very nice thing to say..)

But seriously, back in CHS, or even now, when I’m the maggot in the dirt when it comes to comparing performance, I am not eager to try. I’m like, “Die liao, and I’m never going to be good enough also..”

Terrible mindset to have, but lots of people have it I think, so don’t look down on Normal stream pupils, you elitist bastards~ (but I have another blogpost about that)

So being in a class where I wasn’t the worst really helped me be more confident in my studies and made me want to do better when I was already doing decently well. I like staying somewhere fairly good in the pack.

Well, all that was pretty much a good base for the 2nd point(s). With a better belief in meself and all, I grew to understand myself better and better.

But, I guess discovering myself was a bit of a challenge too. I wasn’t really too sure what I was/am, since I’m still the kid from another school and at times another world. And back in the old world, I was the guy who got the boot and is in a new world.

Evidently though, results have shown that it has stabilised. I’ve been quite the same person with no drastic changes ever since after my ‘O’s. Though I get a pretty big feeling being with Dear helped kept me to be in one person too.

So, yeah, sure I took a year longer academically, but I wouldn’t trade away that extra year just to be back on the faster track. That extra year taught me a heck lot more than any book, black/white board, or TV show could’ve.

Still, I can’t decide which secondary school I’m more in love with..

I know what you’re thinking… There she goes…yet another insane post of hers Sigh..

I know what you’re thinking…

There she goes…yet another insane post of hers

Sigh..!! Cant help it

Blogging seems to have become my second skin now…

Ok now why Banterings you might ask??

well…sometimes you get so bored with the usual reviews, poems that u simply need to list out somethin random…

sometimes you feel like thinking different and coming out with something new… something different…

So hence this post.. an instant insane bantering…

Soowwiieeeee…

cant help it though can i…
Guess you’ll just have to bear with me

ok… so thinking differently..

did you realise my title.. Banterings on Blogosphere.. doesnt it sound remotely similar to Sleepless in Seattle…

nooo???

notice the alliterations??

not yet…??

Ok now observe the fact that the first letter of the first and last word is the same

and that all it contains in the middle is a preposition…

hmmm,…thats wat the matter is,…

ive been talkin like this for quite sometime now,…

Still astounded… ok lemme help you understand this…

Remember Sleepless in Seattle…yea yea the same meg ryan Tom hanks starrer… (hayyyeeee…tom hanks… )

sigh..!! so if you notice the title of the movie the sentence is just 3 words long where the first word and the last word start with the same alphabet and between them places is a preposition..

Wel… it so happens that off late i have taken to talking in such terms… for eg..

i have this frn whose in london for a project.. and whilst talking to him he was tellin me how the weather there is so cold… and due to which theres not much he can do outside, no sight-seeing no visiting places and people.. and hence he’s feeling lonely..

errr..so..

so its Lonely in London

alright…here’s another one….

the other day i was chatting with another friend whose in chennai and he asked me so when are you coming to chennai… so i said im clueless… no idea.. and there you have again.. Clueless about Chennai

See the same pattern…

picture this,.,.

I have a friend whose totally madly crazy about his home town madurai… So here we have again the same pattern…

Mad about Madurai…

this last weekend i happened to catch up on a friend whose been in swiss for atleast 2 yrs tht i knw him of.,..
we havent been in touch for quite sometime and so we did some catchin up on each other over chats the past weekend… and as usual the general talks on life and work came around and he said he’s damn stressed out

BINGO.. there you Go…

Stressed-out in Swiss

i prefer to use stressed out as a single word

well…suits my pattern you see…

i have been noticing this pattern crop up practically many a times.. recently my best friend Farah happened to have visited the Dargah at Ajmer-Sharif and upon her return i was as usual askin her the details of her trip and she said the trip was awesome… seee again the same patter… Awesome in Ajmer…

Now i have this frn whose newly catching up in Facebook and hes damn freaked out abotu farmville and he loves farming now,… so there again… Freaked over Farmville…

sigh… this pattern seems to be gettin to me now

a little too much of anythin seems to be prob… but this one im enjoying it..

wonder how many more i can get on such stuff

maybe i might jus about make another sequel to Banterings On Blogosphere

Keep Smiling..!! Keep Rocking..!!! Keep Blogging..!!!
