We had a blessed time @ PRI metting up with industry people and had great opportunity adding more product line-ups.

A few pics from the Tuttle-Click Hyundai dealer meet, earlier this summer.

So I know that this was quite a while ago, but I thought I would post up some pictures from Seibon Carbon’s customer appreciation day.  Definitely want to thank Seibon Carbon for inviting us to display our 2 project Genesis coupes at the event and for all the help this year.  They plan to do another day next spring, so make sure you stop by.  A lot of great cars, DJs, events and vendors were there.  Please let us know if any of you need Seibon Carbon products for your vehicles, because we can definitely get them for you!  sales@moderacing.com

This year has definitely been a great one, and one of the companies that we worked with to make our Genesis Coupe 2.0T Time Attack vehicle, happened to be JRZ Suspensions.  We wanted to convert the rear strut/spring setup to a coilover setup and together we collaborated to make this a reality.  We have been using these Racing 3-way coilovers from JRZ for the last half of this year and will continue to use them for years to come.  They are a superb system that has improved the handling of the car sevenfold.  If any Genesis Coupe owner would like a JRZ Suspension setup, be it the same 3-way race setup we are using, a 2-way RS Pro setup, or even a single adjustable RS setup, please contact us via email, sales@moderacing.com.  We will do everything in our power to get you the right setup for your specific needs.

I’m a car nut, so when I lived in Chicago, going to the Chicago Auto Show was pretty much an annual pilgrimage for me.  Now that I’m in Arizona, the idea of going back to Chicago in the dead of winter just to see the new models and concept cars; well, I think I’ll hold off- at least this year.

But I’d still like to be able to drool over the new models and concept cars, so I was happy to learn about the Arizona International Auto Show, going on today through Sunday at the Phoenix Convention Center.

According to The Arizona Republic, the manufacturers scheduled to show off their new must-have new rides include Chevy and their new Camaro, the 2010 Ford Taurus and 2011 Super Duty, Lexus’ hybrid HS250h, and Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe. And Lexus won’t be the only manufacturer there with new ‘green’ offerings- Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Ford, and GM nameplates Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac will be among those showcasing new fuel-sipping hardware.

In addition, there will be some drool-worthy dream (for all but the most well-heeled attendees) cars on display- Rolls-Royce, Bentley’s new Azure, Aston Martin (for those of you who, like me, dream of one day rolling like James Bond), Maserati, and Ferrari.  Lamborghini will have a Gallardo Spyder on display… and Porsche will have its all-new (and first-ever) four-door Porsche Panamera there for potential owners to check out.  These ne plus ultra iterations of the automobile (and in all likelihood, most destined to be garage queens) are all on display courtesy of their respective local dealerships: Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Scottsdale, Bentley Scottsdale, Aston Martin Scottsdale, Scottsdale Ferrari-Maserati, and Lamborghini North Scottsdale.

The show will be open Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Admission is $9.00 for adults (well, anybody 13 and over); seniors, military, students, and children (7-12) are $5.00, and anybody under 6 gets in free. Sunday is even ‘Family Day’, so kids under 12 get in free with a paying adult!

HYUNDAI AND AND MICROSOFT

Hyundai’s relationship with Microsoft developed out of a lust for high performance automobiles. The Microsoft team met with Hyundai staff at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas in November of 2008 to discuss possibilities around the upcoming 2010 Genesis Coupe.

Turn 10 Studios, a Redmond, Washington-based racing video game developer created internally by Microsoft Game Studios, embarked on the meticulous process of scanning Genesis Coupes with high level detail and consulted Hyundai’s premier drift racer Rhys Millen to provide real-world feedback on the gameplay and vehicle renders for accuracy.

“It is exciting to have your own car in a video game. I was very impressed with the realism of the game with things like hood pins and exhaust outlets showing up in precise detail,” says Rhys Millen, driver of the Red Bull Hyundai Genesis Coupe race car and founder of Rhys Millen Racing. “The Turn 10 game developers were very accurate in portraying the driving experience as well. For example, changing tires alters the handling of the car just like in the real world.”

To perfect the look and driving feel of the Genesis Coupe in the game, Turn 10 developers spent many hours scanning every inch of the Genesis Coupes. The attention to detail even resulted in a perfectly captured Genesis Coupe exhaust note. Extending this unique partnership even further, “Forza Motorsport 3” will also feature in-game advertising of Genesis Coupe on billboards, building exteriors and JumboTrons, made specially for the game.

Fans will be given the opportunity to test drive the most realistic experience ever as “Forza Motorsport 3” makes a public appearance at the Hyundai stand at the SEMA Show from Nov. 3 – 6, 2009 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The aftermarket companies GReddy and Road/Race have modified the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0 Track model into a looker.  They both have low side skirts and 18 inches wheels to make the Hyundai Genesis Coupe into a street racer!  GReddy’s Turbo kit is set to put out 350 horse powers and  320 lb-ft of torque.

While the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang are the de facto coupes of the show, as suspected, tuners have taken a liking to Hyunda’si Genesis Coupe, with numerous modified examples peppered throughout the show floor.

The 3.8-liter V6 is arguably the better driver, and the Road/Race version in the gallery below is a prime example of the kind of thoughtfully modified Genesis models we’ve seen while traipsing around the floor. A few minor breathing mods (intake and exhaust), coupled with a new set of wheels, upgraded discs, coilovers, a roll bar and a heavily bolstered Sparco bucket makes it a worthy track car that could pull double-duty on the street.

On the other side of the equation is the GReddy modified 2.0T model hanging out at Hyundai’s booth. Despite its contrived “X-Gen Street” moniker, the coupe is a nice blend of show and go, with a GReddy-sourced turbo kit that boosts output to 350 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, dropping its 0-60 mph time to under six seconds. While the graphics package and time attack wing might be a bit much for the street, we’re digging the integrated LEDs in the headlamps and the GReddy brakes and 18-inch Volk wheels speak well of its intentions. Rhys Millen Racing Team transformed a front engined Genesis Coupe into a mid-engined coupe. As you can see, the whole car has been modified. The front grill is gone and they attached a hood on the back like an Audi R8.

Just attended little meet of WCF (World Car fan) @ NJ.

O cupê derivado do luxuoso sedã Genesis já tem data para ser lançado na Argentina. O modelo chega à terra do tango ainda este ano, mais precisament no mês de dezembro. O lote inicial terá unidades com uma série especial. A partir do ano que vem, o esportivo ganha novas versões. Sua chegada ao Brasil deve acontecer pouco depois disso.

De acordo com o Argentina AutoBlog, o Genesis Coupé será vendido inicialmente com um motor 2.0 Turbo de 210 cv. A transmissão é manual, de seis marchas. Posteriormente, o esportivo ganha um 3.8 V6 de 303 cv.

Just finished off the installation of INJEN CAI and M&S aero parts.

Picked up the front lip and side splitter this morning from bodyshop

Bumper was taken off already during the CAI install and we wanted to give it a little polish before we add the front lip.

Yeah.. since we had the LUXON front frame bar which was one of the best mods we had on the car was on the way for one of the CAI piping.
So we had to cut the bracket of brand new intake (Just a future refrence for anyone who will have both products)

and the results.. I don’t know if I like it or not yet. (notice we ditched the foglights and looks too dark now)

We will be putting our U.S demo car away for winter within few weeks.
Before we do that we wanted to do some modifications since we will be attending few big and small events before winter starts as well.
We should be picking up M&S front lip and sideskirts from bodyshop tomorrow.
Since we had to do the installation of INJEN CAI, it was great opportunity for us to do some modifications and cleanings. 

We are going to putting in System Upgrade oil cooler specifically made for Genesis Coupe 3.8.
We have not decided the location yet but it’s more than likely to be behind the radiator grille just like our SFR KOREA’s 2.0T demo car.

Also we wanted to add some more stance to the car and decided to drop the rear more (NEOTECH LE coilover)
 

All the installation and mofications should be done before Saturday.

Since Dry-carbon sideskirts are pricey for poor Gen Coupe owners , we decided to go with fiberglass

Speaking of the GT-R and it’s massive tuning potential spiking the interest of tuners everywhere, there is another car which is beginning to catch the eye of all those enthusiasts, the largely known performance parts producer; Greddy in particular. Yes, Hyundai and Greddy have teamed up to release their take on the new Genesis Coupe.

When it comes to the numbers, this take will have about 350hp and 320lb-ft of torque. Other modifications by the Japanese tuner will include front an rear spoiler and a carbon fiber hood. Along with those extravagant graphics put on by Greddy to represent their partnership with Hyundai, that makes for one aggressive and brilliant looking Genesis. Another few additions that will be helping the car get to it maximum output would be a fully adjustable coilover suspension, some kick ass Volk Racing G2’s and some Sparco seats. 

So the remaining question is, does that do it for you? Does that improved power give you the adrenaline boost you’re hoping for? Well if not, don’t lose interest just yet because after the SEMA show where this car will be shown, Greddy plans on doing further modifications to bring this Japanese brawler to 500hp! 

Most of you are probably wondering if Greddy will be selling the components used here. That answer would be yes!
