HOW about this for a festive get-together….Emma Bunton has revealed that the Spice Girls meet up over the festive season, get drunk and sing to their old songs.

The girls, also including Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Mel C, all visit Victoria Beckham’s house every year as part of a festive tradition where they have some wine and food and sing to their hits.

Emma told the Daily Express: ““We all go over to David and Victoria’s for lovely food and good wine.

“It’s the only time we all get to see each other, we get a bit tipsy and listen to Spice Girls songs. I can’t believe I’ve admitted that!”

Today was a pretty good day. First and foremost I woke up without wanting to vomit.  My tummy was also relatively flat as well. This is a great thing because although my handy-dandy online pregnancy calculator tells me that I’m about 7 weeks 4 days due I have felt bloated and rather like I had a balloon in my belly from around a week after I took my pregnancy test. Any day that I wake up without a desire to vomit and a flat belly is a good one these days.Add on the fact that I had the day off from making hand crafted coffee beverages to busy holiday shoppers and you have a recipe for a fantastic day.

I decided to make use of my good feelings by incorporating a little exercise into my day.  As I have mentioned earlier I used to be a personal trainer. However I’ll be honest as of late you wouldn’t look at me and say “that girl works out”. I’m not terrible out of shape however I haven’t picked up a weight or ran a mile without stopping in probably a year. I measure in at 5′7 and have an hour-glass figure. These days I just have a little extra sand in that hourglass.

In the last month since I have found out that I’m prego I have exercised maybe 5 or 6 times. This usually consists of a good 45 min walk/jog around my neighborhood. I could have done this today but it’s a bit chilly out these days and I have noticed a side effect of my pregnancy is that it’s not enough that my original 34 D boobs have gotten larger but they have also become very sensitive. When I say sensitive I mean they hurt bad. Guess what? They hurt even worse in the cold weather. I honestly have to say that I feel like my poor little nipples are going to fall off when I’m outside for longer then 5 minutes. Therefore I decided to dust off some old yoga dvd’s and see just how un-flexible I had become.

I have two different sets of yoga dvd’s to choose from. One is a set of 4 discs that I bought online that is taught by a yoga guru. This set teaches Ashtanga yoga or power yoga. It is supposed to take you from a beginner level to an advanced level with each disk. I have had it for over a year and it is still wrapped in its protective cellophane covering. It’s in excellent condition I’m sure. The other set of disk is “Geri Yoga”. The former “Spice Girl” Geri Halliwell leads you through different yoga poses. I chose Geri today.

I did get through the entire disk however I went through the poses with some difficulty and definitely didn’t do them all right. I was also very careful not to push myself or even try any of the inverted poses because I haven’t talked to my Dr. yet about what is and isn’t safe. I mainly stretched worked out my legs and back. I felt really good afterward and know that strengthening my back muscles will only help in my upcoming roundness of pregnancy. I told my husband that I realized today that I’m going to be giving birth sooner rather than later and I need to prepare. If I was going to run a marathon would I sit on the couch eating bon bons? Heck no I wouldn’t. Therefore it seems that since I’m going to be giving birth I should start getting ready. Now hold on I’m not saying that I’m going to start lifting weights and running 3 miles a day from here on out. No no no. I’m just saying it’s probably a smart idea to start to doing what exercises I can while I can. Everything in moderation right?

The rest of the day was pretty easy. I went to my mom’s house to visit. About 3 in the afternoon I needed a little cat nap. I haven’t been very tired these last couple weeks except for this last week. I decided to listen to my body and took an hour-long nap. It was fantastic.

My home group of AA had its annual Christmas party tonight. My mom came with me to enjoy desserts and listen to a speaker. The party was very nice. Even when I’m too tired to do anything (pregnancy or no pregnancy) I always make myself go to my home group. A home group is a meeting that you participate in and make the promise to be there every week. You help set up and tear down. You make a commitment. I always feel better after going to my home group even if I have had a crappy day. Tonight was no different. I saw my friends when I walked in the door and we had a really nice time. It was great to have my mom there too.

Tomorrow I have my first Dr.’s appointment and I’m excited and a little nervous. I have lots of questions and I will definitely report back.

A história das Spices Girls deve ser contada em um musical, segundo o tabloide inglês The Sun. O espetáculo vai se chamar “Viva Forever“, um dos hits da banda e deve ser lançado em novembro de 2010, em Londres e depois seguiria para a Broadway.

O musical vai contar desde a história da formação do quinteto até como elas se tornaram um sucesso mundial, a peça foi escrita por Kim Fuller, roteirista do filme Spice World, de 1997 e Geri Halliwell deve ser a produtora executiva. Segundo o jornal 14 músicas estarão no musical.

Vamos primeiro a um momento vergonha, gostava muito das Spice Girls nos anos 90 e acompanhei bem a carreira da banda, deixando de lado essa revelação, o quinteto fez um enorme sucesso na década passada, mas o tempo passou. Tanto que as Spice Girls se separaram em 2001 e retornaram em 2007 em uma turnê mundial, que foi um grande fracasso e hoje algumas das integrantes praticamente sumiram da mídia. Por ser uma banda inglesa, não duvido que a peça faça sucesso em Londres, agora tenho certeza que na Broadway seria um grande fracasso.

So Thursday night was the huge party at Jalouse Night Club. Mariah Carey was hosting the night and it was so lovely to see her looking so glam and trendy.Go Mariah!! Loads of people were there, Gerri Halliwell, Bashy, Pixie lott, (Comedian) Kojo , and a good mate of mine, Sway , and of course none other than Mr Louis Walsh (we decided on a close up pic)…the man behind JEDWARD…..

I still cant believe Lucy was kicked out over them. Im sure their lovely guys but realisticaly are they the next Leona Lewis or Alexandra Burke??? Anywho i got the 411 from Louis and lets just say were all in for a shock.

I was so happy to be invited to a press launch with Nia Long last week. It was so surreal to be at the front of the meeting room, on her table, sharing jelly beans!! We both gave our opinions on Chris Rock’s new documentary on the up keeps of Haircare, advice on healthy skin and beauty tips. It was so nice to know that we both share similar beauty regimes

On their 3rd year running, Miss Flavour added another beauty to the title at Cafe De Paris last week. Congratulations to Melissa Lewars, who stunned the crowd and of course the judges with her beauty and class!! Not forgetting the first winner Miss Yondie and last years winner Sasha Bennett who graced us with their presence. Keep it up Leonard and Anikka.

And of course the Miss Black Britain 2009 finals were held last saturday at the Mermaid Theatre in Blackfriars. As usual the competition was full of a range of gorgeous women, complete with a mix of different backgrounds, all ready to represent Black women in the UK, in a high- class, positive, inspirational strong manner. And also to uphold the title with the same honour and with even higher standards that I gave in 2006, Hannah in 2007 and Helen in 2008. Congratulations to all the girls that made it through and to Rikaya for winning the competition.

I hosted the event alongisde Danny Jules, BBC’s known actor from the series Red Dwarf. We both had a great night and i must say we work well as a team?? Dont we Danny My final thank you is to my Stylist for making me look pretty..and to Gisella Couture for making my beautiful dresses!!

I went to Birmingham earlier in the month to the 2nd MVSA Awards show celebrating the Black Film Festival week. It was such an amazing night, full of positive energy, outstanding talent and great food!! Wayne Marshall performed ‘G SPOT’ giving al the ladies a chance to jump and scream! Tiana Benjamin picked up ‘Best UK Actress’ meanwhile Rudolph Walker, who plays Patrick, picked up the Lifetime achievement award. He gave such an amazing speech about the younger generations excelling and appreciating all the hard work that was set in place for them many years ago; he is such a wise and inspirational man and it was so lovely to finally met him.

Geri Halliwell presumed her hairstylist to be gay and welcomed him in just her bra and pants only to get embarrassed when she realised he ‘loved ladies’.

The former Spice Girls star had hoped to bond with her stylist and reportedly answered the door to him wearing just her bra and pants because she thought he was gay and swiftly changed her behaviour when she realised her mistake.

“She presumed that because I”m a hairdresser I”d be gay. Well I”m not, I love ladies,” Contactmusic quoted the unnamed hairstylist, as telling the Daily Star.

However, the former Spice Girl was quick to change her behaviour when she realised her mistake.

The hairdresser said: “The sight of her standing there in her bra and knickers was embarrassing, so I told her to get dressed so I could focus. She was then embarrassed too and once she”d got her clothes on, she was quite rude.

He added: “I started to feel really uncomfortable being in her home. Not surprisingly, she never called me back. A week later, I found she”d hired my gay friend.”

There are all kinds of rumors flying around after the Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm had dinner last week. The theory is that another reunion is in the works, and more and more that seems to be accurate.

Recently, Geri was on a British talk show and confirmed that the girls were chatting about some “future plans”.

Now Mel B. has Tweeted about the rumors, confirming them!!!!

She says:

“World cup! wow the press are soo silly no I am not getting the girls together for the world cup!!! We are getting together for other reasons!”

What reasons?! Don’t leave us hanging like that!!!

If it is another tour, they need to hurry up and do it!

Personally I’d like to see any one of the other contenders, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Tess Daly, Myleene Klass or last year’s winner Suzanne Shaw take home the prize, after all, they not only set a good example to their kids, but to us adults as well.

Segundo o jornal inglês The Mirror as reuniões recentes das Spices não eram sobre shows, dvds, cds, nem novas músicas e sim sobre um Musical “luxuoso e estravagante” produzido pelas mesmas.

O Musical estaria sendo produzido por Geri Halliwell e contaria com a presença de atrizes desconhecidas interpretando as Spice Girls e contará sobre a fama e a queda delas.

Dizem as fontes que apesar de Geri ser a responsável pelo Musical, as outras ajudarão a escolher o elenco e anúncios misteriosos já estariam chamando por atrizes que lembram o estilo das cinco.

“Esse é um projeto da Geri, é como um bebe. As outras estarão por trás. Elas irão dar a palavra final na escolha do elenco.”, disse uma fonte.

According to Britain’s The Sun, all five members — Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham — have been discussing the possibilities of a doing follow-up tour to their successful 2007 trek Return of the Spice Girls.

But, not every Spice is keen on being added to the mix just yet.

The tabloid reports that both Beckham and Bunton are being “cautious” to commit because of the rigorous touring schedule and it’s effect on their families. L.A.-based Beckham is the mother of three (and only three!) while Bunton gave birth to her first bundle of joy, a boy named Beau, in August 2007.

Some interesting news for Spice Girls fans.

According to The Sun, the Spice Girls plan on being on the road this time next year…minus Victoria!

Apparently the Mel B, Mel C, and Geri are meeting with Emma next week to convince her because she’s a bit hesitant herself.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Though I would never pass up a chance to see any combination of the Girls, I definitely think some charisma would be lost without Victoria. When I saw the reunion tour back in January of 2008 in D.C., the crowd definitely responded to Victoria with loud screaming and applause compared to the others. Why do another reunion without all of you.

The only way I can see this being justified is if the 4 of them (Mel B, Mel C, Geri, and Emma) record a new album of just them. Otherwise, they might come off as a bit desperate.

Either way I can’t wait to see whatever combination reunites!

R: Nos encantan las listas… y no somos los únicos. Ya os hemos hablado en otras ocasiones de las listas maravillosas (y psicotrónicas) que se marcan los chicos de Gigwise. La última y tremenda: las 50 peores canciones de la década (del 2000, se entiende). Que ya se sabe que ahora empieza el tsunami de listas y más listas que recopilen esta primera década del Siglo XXI (en Pitchfork ya llevan un tiempo con este tema), pero hay que tener huevos para hacer una lista con lo peor. Y, sobre todo, una lista tan acertada. Que nadie se asuste de encontrar nombres como Iggy Pop (en su colaboración con Sum 41), Madonna (por American Life), Bon Jovi (It’s my life) o Justin Timberlake (I’m loving it)… porque no han tenido piedad con nadie. Porque, sinceramente, las de Madonna y Bon Jovi no son sus mejores composiciones, vale. Y la de Timberlake no tengo ni pajolera idea de qué canción és, aunque Justin es incapaz de hacer una canción mala… Pero hay cosas mucho peores por ahí. El único motivo por el que perdonamos a la gente de Gigwise es porque hacen total justicia con la morralla que, en los últimos años, confundió las guitarras con la actitud indie: Stereophonics (Mr. Writer), Razorlight (America), Limp Bizkit (Behind blue eyes), Nickelback (Rockstar)… También reciben ostias las estrellas poperas excesivas y ridículas: Mika (Grace Kelly), Geri Halliwell (It’s Raining Men), Mariah Carey (con Westlife en Against All Odds), Victoria Beckham (Out of your mind)… Y lo mismo con la chunguísima invasión de latin lovers en la escena internacional, con especial mención a Ricky Martin (She bangs) y Enrique Iglesias (Hero). Lo que más abundan, eso sí, son los esperpentos, que van desde lo entrañable de David Hasselhoff (Jump in my car) a lo surrealista de S Club 7 (Don’t stop moving), pasando por esperpentos como Sisqo (Thong song), Black Eyed Peas (My Humps), James Blunt (You’re beautiful) o el límite de lo insoportable: la puñetera Crazy Frog, que hace doblete en la lista. En el apartado de momentos de indignación, sin embargo, destacamos dos. El primer: Britney Spears con If u seek Amy. ¡Por favor! Si es un temazo, con esos coros hooligans y esa voz de prostituta resfriada (o encocada). Pero lo que más nos ha llegado al corazoncito es la aparición de Vengaboys. Que nadie se asuste, pero algún día les haremos justicia con una retrospectiva como Dios manda (con mucho cachondeo por en medio, claro). I love dogs, particularly Jack Russells and it appears I am not alone. Lots of celebrities regard a small dressed-up pooch as the latest must-have fashion accessory. Small dogs look better in clothes than big dogs – a pink tutu looks a bit odd on a Rottweiler – though my friend’s daughter bought one for her Staffie, though I have never seen her (the dog that is) wearing it.

Paris Hilton, it is rumoured, has 17 small dogs in her menagerie, while ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is often seen accompanying Harry, who is a Shitzu I believe. Even sophisticated Demi Moore has been seen carrying her coat-wearing pooch around New York, maybe she is filming a new series of Pets and the City.

Not wishing to be outdone, songbird Mariah Carey takes her Jack Jack shopping in Beverly Hills. Jack is quite happy to be carried close to Mariah’s chest (what boy wouldn’t be), Gucci lead dangling from his no doubt Gucci collar.

But the most ridicluous must be Kelly Osbourne’s poor bulldog, not only having to suffer the ignominy of being dubbed Piglet, but having to sport a pink dress to go with its pink dyed fur. Let’s hope Piglet isn’t allowed to pee on the carpets of Mummy and Daddy’s house.

To be honest, I don’t really mind people dressing up their dogs, so long as the dogs are happy to let them do it. I’m quite partial to a Santa’s Little Helper Puchi Designer Petwear T-shirt or a pink diamond-studded collar, but my favourite was a ‘necklace’ made of velvet and pearls which I once saw in Accessorize. Unfortunately my dogs would probably have eaten it. They obviously have good taste.

A ex-integrante das Spice Girls, Melanie B, confirma retorno!

Depois de várias especulações a respeito do jantar das 4 Spices em Londres, semana passada, elas já marcaram outros encontros para discutir a volta do grupo, dizem fontes.

Recentemente, Geri Halliwell, também ex integrante do grupo, disse em entrevista a um Talk Show britânico que as garotas estavam tratando de projetos futuros.

Agora pelo twitter, Mel B, confirmou o retorno. Ela dise: “Copa do Mundo! wow, a pressão é muito grande, não eu não estou juntando as garotas para a Copa do Mundo!!! Nós estamos voltando por outras razões !“

Quais razõs Mel B, quer deixar a gente louco?
