  Vediamo le variazioni di ogni canale.

   

  • ABC programmerà un’intera ora dedicata al discorso e ai commenti giornalistici, rinviando a martedì 8 dicembre alla stessa ora i previsti mediometraggi animati “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (in replica) e “Disney’s Prep & Landing” (inedito). Nessuna variazione dalle 21.00 in poi, con i primi due episodi della nona stagione inedita di Scrubs e a seguire un episodio inedito di The Forgotten.
  • CBS sposta alle ore 20.30 la prevista replica di NCIS – Unità anticrimine, e al posto della replica di NCIS: Los Angeles prevista per le 21.00 programmerà alle 21.30 una replica della sit-com Due uomini e mezzo (episodio 6×14 “David Copperfield Slipped Me a Roofie”), e alle 22.00 trasmetterà il previsto speciale di moda “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show”.
  • NBC trasmetterà un’intera ora dedicata al discorso e ai commenti successivi, e alle 21.00 manderà in onda la puntata (di solito in onda alle 20.00) del reality-game “The Biggest Loser”, che si concluderà alle 23.00 facendo saltare per la prima volta dall’avvio dello scorso settembre l’abituale “The Jay Leno Show” delle 22.00.
  • FOX ha deciso di trasmettere il discorso di Obama (mentre per i precedenti discorsi del 29 aprile, 22 luglio e 9 settembre aveva preferito saltare la trasmissione), e programmerà alle 20.30 il reality-game “So You Think You Can Dance” già previsto per le 20.00.
• USA Network cambia i suoi piani di trasmissione seriali da gennaio
  USA Network cambia radicalmente la trasmissione delle proprie serie originali a partire da gennaio: mentre fino ad ora le serate dedicate ai telefilm erano limitate alle serate di giovedì, venerdì e domenica, il canale si spinge ora in nuovi territori, e ha deciso che le serie White Collar, Duro a morire – Burn Notice e Psych andranno in onda ciascuno in una serata diversa.
  Più precisamente, White Collar partirà con la seconda metà della sua prima stagione inedita dal 19 gennaio ogni martedì alle 22.00; Burn Notice tornerà con la seconda metà della sua terza stagione inedita dal 21 gennaio ogni giovedì alle 22.00; Psych riprenderà la sua quarta stagione dal 27 gennaio ogni mercoledì alle 22.00.

Geçen sezonun sonunda(Jim öldü, geri geldi) hikayeyi kurtarmak için artık ne yapabilirler, dizi tıkandı diye düşünürken dizinin akışını komple değiştirdiler. Doktor koca, kendisinden daha farklı/ileri güçleri olan bir çocukla Melinda’yı yeni süprizler bekliyor gibi gözüküyor.

Als er iemand dol is op televisie series ben ik het wel. Ik heb elke avond wel een aantal series die ik gewoon moet zien. Is het een verslaving? Misschien wel een beetje, maar het is gelukkig nog niet zo erg dat ik helemaal ga flippen als ik een aflevering mis want we hebben thuis de meest geniale uitvinding ever: het upc recorder kastje. Ik kan alle progamma’s instellen die ik wil zien en die dan later bekijken. En mocht ik dit vergeten, dan is er altijd nog sidereel.com. Heel handig!

Wat zijn nu mijn favoriete tv series en waarom?

Ghost Whisperer

Ghost Whisperer is mijn alltime favoriet. De mensen die me volgen via Twitter kunnen regelmatig lezen dat ik weer eens Ghost Whisperer aan het kijken ben. Ik volg deze serie al vanaf seizoen 1 en ik kan er maar geen genoeg van krijgen. Het is ook al meedere keren voorgekomen dat het me niet lukt om even een traantje weg te pinken.

Criminal Minds

Ik hou van crime series en Criminal Minds staat bovenaan als mijn favoriet. Elke woensdag zit ik trouw om 20:30 voor de buis voor een vol uur criminal profiling. Ook vind ik Dr Spencer Reid best wel een schatje. Sst niet verder vertellen hoor!

Gossip Girl

Ik heb alle boeken al in mijn bezit en toen ik op internet las dat er een tv serie zou verschijnen werd ik even he-le-maal gek van enthousiasme. Mijn favoriete characters zijn Blair en Chuck. Ik kijk deze serie trouwens niet via de tv, ik kijk alle nieuwe afleveringen via Sidereel of ik pak op een layzie sunday mijn dvd boxen erbij!

Castle

Deze serie is nog niet zo lang te zien op de televisie maar ik moet toegeven dat ik geen aflevering kan en wil missen. Ik vind vooral de hoofdrolspeler Nathan Fillion ontzettend goed acteren en echt geweldig om naar te kijken. Castle is echt een must om te zien. Dit is btw ook weer een crime serie.

The Mentalist

Momenteel word The Mentalist hier in Nederland even niet uitgezonden op tv -ik volg ook deze serie weer via internet- maar is ook een must om te zien. The Mentalist is van dezelfde hand als Castle en is ook een steengoede serie. En het is ook helemaal niet erg om naar Simon Baker te kijken – al vond ik hem in The Devil Wears Prada helemaal niet zo leuk- want die ziet er niet alleen heerlijk uit maar acteert ook super! =)

Dit zijn momenteel even mijn favoriete series. Ik kijk trouwens ook nog weleens naar Numbers – alleen als het onderwerp me aanstaat-, naar Bones -ook al kan ik Emily Dechanel absoluut niet uitstaan- en naar Csi en Csi Miami.

Wat zijn jullie favoriete tv series?

Ghost Whisperer – one of my favorite TV series!  In the said TV series, Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) can see and talk to ghosts.  She helps these “Earthbound” spirits crossover to the Light by helping them with their unfinished business. These unfinished business can vary from passing messages to their loved ones, making them realize that they have already passed away, making sure that their loved ones are safe, and even releasing them from attaching themselves to things like concert tickets, heirloom, etc.

At first, these earthbound spirits will appear scary because they would look like the same way they did when they died. They would even come through Melinda by dreaming about them or they would give her visions and would let her feel the same thing that happened to them.  The visions usually creeps Melinda out.

Helping ghosts crossover is a very daunting task and Melinda will need any help she can on both worlds — the living and the dead.  She is surrounded by these lovely people:  Jim Clancy/Sam Lucas (David Conrad), Andrea Marino (Aisha Tyler), Delia Banks (Camryn Manheim), Ned Banks (Tyler Patrick Jones / Christoph Sanders), Prof. Rick Payne (Jay Mohr),  Eli James (Jamie Kennedy), and Aiden Lucas (Connor Gibbs).  Their undying devotion to Melinda’s cause are unquestionable, except for Stubborn Delia.  Although Delia loves Melinda as she was her own sister, she just could not understand why Melinda always talks to herself and blanks out in the middle of a conversation.  She always has to have rational explanations on everything.  But this doubt would soon wane after Sam Lucas made her realize that Melinda really talks to ghosts and Sam is one of them! 

The character that I like the most, except for Melinda of course, would be Jim Clancy/ Sam Lucas. You might be wondering why her husband, yes he is her husband, have two names. With her much devoted love for Melinda, he couldn’t just leave Melinda all by herself when he died in Season 4 and decided to enter a man’s dead body(Sam Lucas) just to be with her. For more detailed and breath-taking story, you might want to check out Season 4. I cried when Melinda realized that Jim passed away. I felt what Melinda felt at that time (great job Jennifer!) when her world was crushed!

There’s an added character for Season 5 — Aiden Lucas, son of Melinda and Jim.  I’m pretty sure this boy would create another twist in the story for the Season 5 of Ghost Whisperer (I haven’t seen it yet).  I can’t wait to watch the episodes of this much awaited season!

This TV Series is unlike any other series where the main characters always wins and don’t die– even Melinda died in Season 2!  Here, you will see how Melinda’s loved ones are being taken away from her grasp and into the other side.  This will give you this much anticipation and nervousness while watching because you wouldn’t know who will die next. 

Now you know why i’m so hooked!

GHOST WHISPERER: 5.09 “Lost in the Shadows”

What a terrible episode.

I really wanted to like this episode. I was looking forward to seeing Madison Leisle, Julia, return. She stood out in the Sally Stitch episode as someone to keep your eye on, and as someone very ominous.

Unfortunately, that just didn’t happen.

And it wasn’t her fault. In fact, I’d say with what she had access to, she did a good job handling her role. But I blame the writing. And Connor Gibbs. My God, that child can’t act.

Seriously. Everything he said was so one-sided. And I don’t mean biased. I mean, it’s as if you were looking at something that was supposed be a 99-sided die, and you were just stuck on one side that had a little square on it. And you just thought, is that a square? Or a square? Maybe it’s a square! For a hour.

For a kid who knew he was breaking his parents’ rules but supposedly for the good of another, he seemed to show no emotion at all. He wasn’t happy to help someone. He wasn’t confused to be blindfolded. He wasn’t scared at the shadows attacking Julia. He wasn’t mad the shinies couldn’t help (we’ll get to that later). He wasn’t thrilled to see his parents return. He was nothing. He was a painted square on a 99-sided die that isn’t being used properly.

But we can’t just blame an eight-year-old for the horribleness that is this episode (and yes, he does look eight, not five, and I’ve always thought so). They really didn’t build this episode up at all.

Sure, we knew about the shinies and the shadows. But other than gagging Melinda, we haven’t really discovered the danger behind them. This is the first time we’ve seen a ghost scared of them, and for being such a “big” episode, I think we needed to see that much earlier. Carl was clearly the best moment in the show, as we actually saw fear in him. But at the same time, what does showing a ghost all the bad in their lives really do to them? How is that dangerous?

Plus, the audience hasn’t grown to like Aiden. There was no fear in the entire episode that Aiden would be gone forever. First, I didn’t care if he was. Second, I wasn’t scared for him. Which brings me to another point:

They didn’t establish Julia as an opposing, negative force. Beyond two sinister looks and a hissy fit against Melinda’s help, we have no reason to think that she’s a bad ghost. And since every episode has that “turn” at the end, you could guess that she’d be good all along. Which she was. If we had spent more time seeing her at the hospital, seeing how she acted around her parents, or even seeing her with the other ghosts she wanted to protect, it all would have made more sense.

And what about those other ghosts she wanted to protect? How was she helping them by hanging around? Will we find out later? Is it just a moot point? Is the Sally Stitch person one of them? Bah!

And as for the shadows and shinies, I’m bored. There hasn’t been a threat yet, and the first time we’ve seen the shinies (who, for faceless being, sure had eyes and noses), it was lame. I felt like I was watching The Haunting–yeah, the bad one starring Catherine Zeta Jones.

Overall, the episode was weak. I just feel like with a few tweaks and some major character buildup, it could have been an effective episode. I mean, even building up the characters more and pushing this off until later in the season could have worked.

And hiring someone other than Connor Gibbs. I don’t think there’s anything we could have fixed about that performance.

I really wanted to like it; I really did. The episode was almost more disappointing than usual, just because I really wanted it to work.

Graças a uma animação e a uma entrevista com Sarah Palin no ‘20/20′, a ABC empatou com CBS no primeiro lugar. A primeira exibiu ‘Shrek’ e ‘20/20′ (7.9 milhões e 1.8 ponto), enquanto a CBS exibiu ‘Ghost Whisperer’ (8.4 milhões e 2.0 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49).

‘Smallville’ na CW caiu um pouquinho ficando com 2.5 milhões de telespectadores e 1.1 ponto na demo.

O resto da noite foi recheado de reprises.

Hi Guys and Dolls! I’m sorry it’s been so long since my last post/video, but I  have a lot of things cookin’ right now, so be prepared for a lot of stuff in the next few weeks. I love this look and I’m satisfied with how it came out, and I hope you like it as well. If you want a darker or more dramatic smoky eye, simply add more of the black, or use a starker black, like MAC’s Carbon, or NYX’s Black. I was trying to keep it light, similar to how Melinda wears in the show. It’s a fairly simple to do warm smoky eye what you can tailor make to fit your mood/skin tone/hair color/eye color.  The last pictures of the post is a few different type of bronzes and coppers.What do you think of the new site layout? BFTE Earthy (I’m sorry, I know there is dupes, but I can’t think of one. Basically instead of these two, you could have done a dark golden brown like MAC’s Espresso, or Leather from the Kat Von D Beethoven Palette. In this post I show a few other dupes for this sort of golden brown color.

BFTE Amber  -Really, dupes for this depend on what you want, your coloring, your eye color etc. I’ve included some pictures at the bottom of this post with some colors that would all work for this purpose. Not necessarily “dupes” but colors that serve the same/similar purpose. A simple guideline is if you have green eyes red toned coppers will work for you, Brown eyes work well with yellow bronze-golds,  pink-coppers and also cool bronzes, and Blue eyes pop with any yellow or orange based-bronze or gold.  Hair color and skin color also play a role, & I’m a big fan of making your own rules, and wearing what you like.

MAC Blanc Type

Migi Velvet Liner (this is a liquid liner pen. it’s like drawing on your eyeliner with a VERY fine tipped marker. several companies make eyeliners like this, a few that come to mind are MAC, Cargo, and L’oreal (I think). Really any liquid eyeliner you like is fine, some people like pen ones, some like gel-liners & cake-liners you apply with a brush, some prefer the felt tip types like L’oreal Liner Intense)

A black eyeliner for the waterline: I prefer waterproof eyeliners in my waterline because they last longer, and they set quickly, so they don’t ruin my contacts. three I love are MAC’s Technakohl, Sephora’s waterproof Retractable Liner, and Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liners.

Em 1984, as noites de sexta-feira eram abrigo de séries que se tornariam grandes clássicos da TV: ‘Miami Vice’, ‘Dallas’, ‘Hunter’, ‘Webster’, ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ e o ‘V’ original. Programação boba, leve demais? Pode ser. Mas pelo menos era original.

Hoje as sextas-feiras são um emaranhado de shows perdidos, no limbo, reprises. As emissoras simplesmente não sabem o que fazer com as sextas-feiras. E a preocupação cresce ainda mais quando NENHUM dos programas consegue passar dos 2 pontos na demo qualificada.

A última sexta-feira foi vencida pela CBS que exibiu ‘Ghost Whisperer’ (8 milhões e 1.9 ponto), ‘Medium’ (8.2 milhões e 1.9 ponto) e ‘Numbers’ (8.2 milhões e 1.8 ponto).

A ABC e a NBC empataram. A primeira exibiu ‘Supernanny’ (5 milhões e 1.4 ponto), ‘Ugly Betty’ (4.5 milhões e 1.3 ponto – finalmente subiu um pouquinho) e ‘20/20′ (6.7 milhões e 1.9 ponto). A NBC exibiu ‘Law & Order’ (7.5 milhões e 1.7 ponto), ‘Dateline’ (7.3 milhões e 1.7 ponto) e ‘The Jay Leno Show’ (4.7 milhões e 1.2 ponto).

A Fox exibiu reprises, enquanto a CW levou ‘Smallville’ ao ar, atingindo seu maior número de telespectadores na temporada (2.7 milhões e 1.2 ponto).

I loved the episode of Ghost Whisperer. I thought it was funny how the husband and wife were arguing and misunderstanding each other in life and in death. It is very easy for that to happen in everyday life. I laughed when the wife went ballistic and started to smash everything that he had loved when he was alive. I kept saying to my hubby that she is going to electrocute herself when she was pounding the table that had the lighting. I was surprised when Melinda went the next morning and was talking with her. Then when Melinda told her that she was dead, I was like, duh. I should have realized.
I also liked that episode of Medium. It is always interesting to watch as Allison’s dreams come together in pieces and fit into the mystery and help solve crimes. I would love to have those kind of abilities. I can’t wait for this weeks episodes. They both look great. Make sure you are tuning in.

GHOST WHISPERER: 5.08 “Dead Listing”

Last week, I requested an episode that basically straightforward, centric on characters other than Eli, and distracting us away from the story arc. And in a weird turn of events, that’s actually what we got. In fact, I think the only thing that we didn’t get that I requested was that Aiden be in less of it. And while, sure, his moments were painful, at least he wasn’t talking about the shadows again. He was just being a kid.

Not to say it was a perfect episode. I have to say that Melinda was off her game. Her entire “fairness” talk to Aiden made absolutely no sense. Seriously. All she really had to say was this,

Honey, what if Superman tried out for the football team? He’s got super speed. Even though he has this gift, that doesn’t mean it’s fair to use it around people who don’t have it.

Instead she used weird sentence fragments and strange examples that even the viewer didn’t follow her explanation–and we even knew what she was coming in to say!

Plus, what was Melinda’s reaction when she found Rita dead? She took that in stride. Whether I could see ghosts or not, I’m pretty sure my first response would be, “Rita, what happened?!” not just jumping in to discuss the engraved award. Somehow, her calm exterior just ended up looking cold and heartless for someone who cares so much about others.

Beyond that, though, not a terrible episode. I was really glad to see Delia get a larger role in this episode. See? You can get people who don’t hear or see ghosts in a storyline without a stretch! Or without just discussing their dating lives.

And I will say that I really enjoyed seeing Greg Germann . You know I’m an Ally McBeal fan, so it was great to see him again. The story was a little weird. I got their competitive nature, but the shrimp (oh, terrible CGI!) and intestines seemed to be a stretch. In fact, I think the intestines were there just to make the show seem darker or more serious–aka, unnecessary. But oh well. The story got a little complicated, what with the question of whether Rita was cheating or whether she was buying the brownstone or selling the brownstone or knew of the mold or didn’t know of the mold (and why was he in the brownstone to drop the award near the mold in the first place?). At least there weren’t access characters, but it did go around in a few circles.

And now to Aiden: What did we think of his magic act? I found this a little boring. I guess it’s nice to see that Aiden does have “friends” (at least it’s only the viewers that dislike him), but it just didn’t entertain me.

But it looks like we’re heading back to previously unfinished storylines! I look forward to seeing what next week has in store, now that the cancer patient is back. But in Aiden’s closet? Maybe she’s not as human as we thought she is.

As I like to do every so often, I am going to go through a bunch of shows I’ve been watching to write some general thoughts on the show and any exciting or upsetting news that I may have heard about it.

Survivor Samoa- One thing I like about this show is that they try and make certain that the women have an equal opportunity at most things. Very often, the physical competitions are divided so it’s women vs women and men vs men, elimination/immunity challenges tend to include equalizers like puzzles or skills that aren’t strength based. (I find this admirable since MTV’s RW/RR Challenges seem incapable of doing this. Remember the Battle of the Sexes’ final challenge?) About other aspects of the show: Russel has figured out something very basic–if there is no exile island, then the immunity idol must be hidden at camp. And if it is hidden at camp it must be an identifiable location so that clues can be given to find it. So twice now he has just wandered around camp searching the few places that it could be, and found it. Why has no one else taken this approach? Especially after he found it the first time? I will say that Russel, while I can’t stand him and don’t understand why so many people have gone along with him for so long, is quite the player. He’s super manipulative and strategic. And nice blindside this week.

Vampire Diaries- I have a few distinct issues with this show. 1) It bugs me that Elenia and Bonnie look exactly like their ancestors Katherine and Emily. They couldn’t just hire other actors for the three seconds that they are on screen? 2) Quite killing the interesting people! Vicky and that friend of Stefan’s were both interesting story lines that I would have liked to see develop a lot further. 3) Elenia is the dullest person ever. I mean really, she’s possibly the worst main character in existence. Otherwise, I think they did some clever stuff this week. Especially because there is obviously more to come from Damon, plus all the new vamps. Is Logan one of them?

Dollhouse- Probably the most upsetting, though not surprising, news of the week is the cancellation of Dollhouse. The show was getting really good this season, finally focusing on the entire cast instead of just Echo and Paul Ballard. There are so many things that Fox did wrong with this show (formulaic first season, poor advertising, horrible timeslot, not airing epitaph one) but I do think that Joss Whedon would be more suited for Syfy or some of other cable station (one thing he will have to do is have a cheaper budget though because Dollhouse, for example, is too expensive to produce for Syfy). At least the full season two will be aired. If you haven’t checked out this show already, I really recommend it. What I like about Joss is that he takes things further and uses his shows to examine human behavior and morality in a way that most shows do not.

FlashForward- After a bit of a lull following the series premiere, the show has really picked up steam again. The last few weeks have been some of the best episodes yet and they call into question everything that’s been revealed so far. And then call that into question. A few, interesting twists have come into play now and you can’t help but wonder what everyone is going to do as conspiracies and cover ups seem to multiply and desperation leads to some pretty crazy behavior.

V- Also on the upsetting news of the week, I did not realize that V would only be airing four episodes before going on hiatus until March. That’s pretty lame. The show’s second episode was just as good as the first (which says something about the show since I’ve found that most Sci Fi has a great pilot and a weak follow up). I have no idea what will be filling the time slot during the months off, but I really wish the networks would stop doing that.

Smallville- On the good news, this series has really improved from the last few years and it’s showing in the ratings. Despite being in its ninth season and on a Friday, the show has actually seen increases every week in its viewership. Perhaps everyone is just glad to be rid of Lana Lang for good or they like the playing with Lois Lane. Either way, the plots are better. Lex Luthor is gone for now which is actually fine by me. We looked into Oliver’s story more. Chloe has proven herself to be more interesting than ever before. Lois is just kind of crazy but entertaining. Sadly, Clark continues to be somewhat dull. There’s only so much entertainment to be had from a guy whose entire storyline revolves around “being the perfect hero.”

Ugly Betty- Another show that has become more interesting than before. It takes a look at dealing with grief, poor self esteem, jealousy, being gay in high school, what a mother would do for her daughter…In other words, real issues instead of just scheming against each other which, while interesting in Gossip Girl, isn’t suited for this show as much. Not to say some scheming isn’t good. I just don’t think in this show that should be the entire story. I think also the dad’s story about being wanted in Mexico or wherever just wasn’t as interesting as Justin learning to deal with being in high school.

White Collar- while not as exciting as the first episode (it has become a bit formulaic at the moment) there are some things that leave me interested in the show. The first is that Neal Caffrey is an interesting character. The second is the questions about his girlfriend. It is clear that more was happening than that she was just dumping him and now Neal is trying to find her. I’m hoping we’ll get more than cursory mentions of that in episodes to come. More chasing her and a little less of chasing random bad guys. It does bother me a little that he’s supposed to be this huge romantic in love with this girl and meanwhile he’s hitting on the new FBI agent transferred in to work with them.

Ghost Whisperer- I think one thing I dislike about this show is that the son, Aiden, is kind of weird looking and a bit annoying. Would have been nice for them to have gotten a cuter kid. But oh well. This week they introduced a frightened child-ghost who is hiding with Aiden at the very end which could lead to some great story soon. I wish they would get back to the Shinees and Shadows stuff a little more. (And I think we will be seeing that soon.) I dislike shows that are formulaic with little bigger arch. This show has a bigger story but they tend to ignore it for the majority of the time which is unfortunate. Show us more of Aiden’s skills, show us who he can see. And it would be cool to see more real murders instead of just misguided ghosts.

Merlin- I know this show didn’t do well this summer when it came to the US, but I was watching it last year (online of course) and I really enjoyed it. I would like to learn more about Morgana (we got some hints with the introduction of her half sister Morgose–come on practically the same name!) but I think this season is pushing along well. Especially with the whole magic good or bad dilemma. Arthur and Uther are constantly being forced to rethink their stances only to be hurt by magic and revert back to hatred again. I can’t wait for the day when Morgana and Merlin’s magic is revealed. It would be nice to see more occasions where they almost get caught.

Legend of the Seeker- As I’ve said before, watching this show inspired me to read the entire 12 book (sort of 13 book) series. This season looks even more exciting with the introduction of Cara, a Mord Sith who has allied herself with Richard. I would like them to go more into depth about how the Mord Sith are created as that is an interesting/terrifying story. Meanwhile, I’d also like to stop seeing scenes of the underworld. (For one thing, it’s depressing to think that no matter what type of life you live you are doomed once you die and for another, it’s just not a very well executed bit of imagery.) I’m looking forward to seeing what else they are planning since they have changed things enough from the books to leave you surprised by how things turn out while sticking to the heart and emotion of most of it. (And while leaving out a bit of the preaching.)

As you can see, I’m a real sucker for Fantasy (which would explain why I’m writing a fantasy book–currently 400+ pages in). Any shows you have some complaints or good news about?

That’s right. The occult movement of Satanism ranks number one among teens and young adults as their preferred spirituality.

We could dismiss the ascendancy of Satanism in the United States as a fad of the young; something they will grow out of with time. In others words, it’s nothing to worry about.

In my judgment, that’s the wrong approach to the spiritual and cultural phenomenon of Satanism. People need to understand that Satanic spirituality leaves deep spiritual and psychological scars on its victims. Christians should know how to recognize and combat satanic spirituality. Where do we begin?

Let’s begin by reaffirming a basic truth: Satan exists. His demonic minions exist. Scripture and Tradition depict Satan as the supreme evil leader of the fallen angels who seek to disrupt God’s plan of salvation for humanity.

• L’episodio in due parti di Smallville diventa un TV movie
  Smallville è arrivata alla nona stagione e sta tenendo alto il morale in casa CW con i suoi buoni ascolti al venerdì. Ora arriva la notizia che i due episodi che vedranno l’arrivo della Justice Society of America (intitolati “Society” e “Legends”) saranno mandati in onda sotto forma di un film televisivo di due ore, il prossimo 29 Gennaio. La JSA, come viene chiamata dai fans dei fumetti DC, è un gruppo di supereroi meno noto rispetto alla Justice League (che vedeva invece tra le proprie fila icone come Batman, Wonder Woman o Superman). I personaggi che appariranno sono Hawkman (interpretato da Michael Shanks), Dottor Fate (Brent Stait), e Stargirl (Britt Irvin).
• Ugly Betty alla riscossa
  Quando, in Usa, una serie viene spostata al venerdì (che loro chiamano “Friday night death slot” non a caso) di solito le ragioni sono sempre le stesse: scarsi ascolti e desiderio del network di allungare il brodo per realizzare episodi sufficienti in modo da rivendere poi la serie in syndication. Di certo la cosa prelude spesso ad una cancellazione.
  Questo è quello che è accaduto proprio con Ugly Betty. La serie, dopo un primo anno di successo sia di pubblico che di critica, ha iniziato una parabola discendente che l’ha portata ad essere defenestrata dal prestigioso spazio del giovedì sera che occupava l’anno scorso e ritrovarsi quindi in una serata dove il suo pubblico per definizione solitamente esce. Invece, da quando è iniziata questa quarta stagione, non solo gli ascolti (sommati alle registrazioni) non sono stati così disastrosi come ci si aspettava ma la serie sembra rinata a nuova vita con una qualità, a detta di critica e fans, paragonabile a quella della prima stagione. La ABC aveva anche considerato il trasferimento della serie, nel 2010, nello spazio lasciato vuoto da Eastwick. La cosa però, pare, che per ora non avverrà.
  Ultima soddisfazione per la più bruttina d’America: giovedì scorso Flash Forward, serie costosissima e pubblicizzata come l’evento dell’anno e che occupa lo spazio che aveva Ugly Betty l’anno scorso, ha ottenuto solo 8.33 milioni di telespettatori mentre esattamente 12 mesi fa UB riusciva a fare oltre 9.20 milioni!
• Alyssa Milano guest star a “Castle”
  Alyssa Milano parteciperà a un episodio di Castle, l’ironico serial crime ABC che sta riscuotendo un discreto successo e che ha già ricevuto l’ordine per una stagione completa. Nell’episodio interpreterà una ex fiamma del protagonista Richard Castle, interpretato da Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives). Ricordiamo l’attrice per Streghe, dove era una delle protagoniste, ma ha partecipato anche a Melrose Place e My Name is Earl. Nel 2010 partirà inoltre, in midseason, una nuova serie sempre su ABC che la vedrà protagonista, intitolata Romantically Challenged.
• Arriva “The Prisoner”
  Domani in USA debutterà, sul canale AMC, “The Prisoner“, miniserie in sei parti che è il remake della omonima, famosa, serie degli anni ‘60 “Il Prigioniero“. Il telefilm originale è ancora tutt’oggi amato e ha influenzato molte opere sci-fi venute dopo, tra tutte citiamo Lost. La miniserie ha avuto un alto budget, è stata in parte girata in Africa e vede schierati tra il cast due famosi attori cinematografici come Ian McKellen e James Caviezel. Di seguito vi propongo l’extended trailer presentato questa Estate alla San Diego ComicCon.
