I’m totally addicted to Gimme more right now! Just got on a two hour train ride to a friend so time to fire up the iPod with some good gimme more tunes! Which song do you love right now?

Já escrevi sobre a Stefhany, A Absoluta, neste post aqui. Gosto da menina, super DJÊNIA nas versões e tals. A última é da música boring, mas puro chiclete, “Hush Hush“, das Pussycat Dolls, que na versão da Diva ficou “Blush Blush”. Muito me encanta essas bizarrices da internet! Olha o vídeo!

Essa não é a voz da Diva Piauiense e andei pesquisando no blog da Absoluta (you must see) e no canal do amigo dela no Youtube, onde estão os vídeos das músicas e essa aí não consta por lá. Logo, vale pelo vídeo e homenagem. Ou não né, vai saber se a gatinha aceitou a versão e gravará um vídeo com toda sua luz para nós? Oremos.

E na terça-feira, 3 de Novembro, ela participou do programa Esquadrão da Moda, no SBT. Foi um choque cultural de muito mal gosto, várias trocas de olhares atravessados e frases ácidas. Mas a melhor foi o cabeleireiro do programa, que não conseguiu convencer a linda a cortar o cabelo, perguntando se ela era de Áries. Resposta: “Piauí”. Absoluta!

So, jetzt bin ich durch mit Liza Codys Buch. Gimme more wäre dabei so ungefähr das Letzte, das mir dazu einfallen würde. Genauer gesagt bin ich froh, dass ich es endlich weglegen kann. Warum ich mich da überhaupt durchgezwungen habe? Weil ich Optimist bin! Eigentlich erwarte ich auch gar nicht so viel von einem Buch, aber entweder eine schöne Sprache oder eine gute Geschichte sollte es schon mindestens haben. Gimme more hat eine grauenhafte Sprache, sie soll wohl Londoner Mundart sein oder Musik-Szenen-Slang – Brrrrr! Oder ist das das, was man so Popliteratur nennt? Es klingt ungefähr so, wie sich Erwachsene vorstellen, dass Jugendliche sprechen. Und die Hauptfigur ist ungefähr so beschrieben, wie sich eine verhuschte Hausfrau eine “total abgefahrene” Rockerbraut eben vorstellen würde. Das bringt einen dazu, so oft mit den Augen zu rollen, dass man an sich dabei sogar an der Supermarktkasse ertappt, während man die klein aufgedruckten Slogans auf den Familienpacks des vor-einem-Stehenden liest. Fazit: Sorry, aber das sollte man sich nicht antun müssen.

O tão esperado vídeo da música “3″ de Britney Spears, foi lançado hoje ao meio dia, horário de Brasília.

Como sempre, Britney está linda e poderosa, mas faltou energia no vídeo. Faltou aquele jeito Britney de ser.

A única coisa legal do vídeo é a iluminação, pois na maior parte do tempo ela está toda iluminada enquanto os bailarinos ficam na sombra.

A música se trata de ménage à trois, mas o clipe não aborda nada disso! É apenas uma Britney, dançando, sexy e linda (coisa que nós já estamos cansados de ver) ou seja, sem dúvidas é um dos clipes mais básicos de Britney, senão o mais.

Gimme More custou apenas 15 mil dolares e ficou um estrondo, enquanto 3 passou a marca dos 150mil. Prova de que Britney pode fazer bem melhor com muito menos.

Me deculpem B fans.

O título do post tem haver com uma frase que ficou muito famosa na época do retorno [desastroso] de Britney Spears aos palcos, quando a cantora fez sua primeira apresentação depois dos problemas e escândalos na vida dela, no VMA 2007. Após sua performance, muitos comentários maldosos caíram sobre a pobre moça, principalmente pela mídia, por estar… hmmm… fora de forma e sem ritmo ao dançar “Gimme More”. Então, eis que surge Chris Crocker para defendê-la das perversas críticas [e diga-se de passagem, para chamar atenção].
Chris postou um vídeo em seu canal no youtube entitulado “Leave Britney Alone“, que já foi acessado mais de 27460245 até hoje. O vídeo é tão engraçado e fez tanto sucesso que fizeram várias paródias, como sobre Michael Jackson e até Steve Jobs, além de uma para o próprio Chris Crocker.

Mas o que vim mesmo falar aqui é sobre algo que me deixa com o sangue fervendo!
Com a febre que se tornou a série Crepúsculo, surgiu de bônus uma obsessão pelos atores Robert Pattinson e Kristen Stewart como um casal fora das telas, da parte tanto dos fãs da série/atores, quanto da mídia. Minha raiva não é pelos fãs, porque também sou uma fã louca que ficaria super feliz se fosse confirmado que Robsten existe mesmo. Mas a mídia, que sabe dessa obsessão por parte dos fãs, quer lucrar em cima de mentiras deslavadas e absurdas!
A algum tempo venho notando as revistas estamparem “manchetes bombásticas” sobre Robsten, mas uma em especial me faz rir do modo como trata os “fãnáticos” por Crepúsculo, a OK! Magazine. A primeira vez que reparei no modo totalmente idiota como a OK! quer vender usando o Rob e a Kristen foi numa edição passada que não lembro no momento o número (mas tem um monte mesmo!). Mas para mim a gota d’água foi a edição 43, que sairá dia 26 de outubro. A capa diz:

Fala sério!! Mesmo que fosse verdade que os dois estão juntos, eles não são do tipo que mostram a intimidade deles assim, muito menos como um casal.
Não imagino a Kristen com cara de bobinha tímida apaixonada abrindo a porta da casa e dizendo para os repórteres: “Entrem, fiquem a vontade, esse é nosso cantinho de amor…” indo em direção ao seu amorzinho [sendo ele o Rob ou não] pra ficar abraçadinha, para então começarem a dar “detalhes íntimos” da vida deles – porque é essa a imagem que vem na minha cabeça quando leio essa manchete.
Uahahaha. Quero só ver os scans dessa revista, principalmente as “fotos exclusivas” do tal apartamento em Vancouver – e se eles estarão ou não nessas fotos.

Mas o fato é: eles sendo ou não um casal na vida real, deixem eles em paz suas revistinhas de fofocas baratas que não tem mais o que fazer e ficam enchendo essas revistas com fofocas mentirosas e sem fundamento! #respiraerelaxa O problema é deles, e só deles, se estão ou não juntos! (Na verdade, não seria um problema pra Kristen, e sim uma grande sorte!^^)

Lei non ricorda un po’ Britney a i tempi di Gimme More?

Gimme more so I can you BoA! Dreaming is a bit too much but here is another mashup from Drokas for Britney’s “Gimme More”. Not my favorite mix with BoA but still worth the listen.

When I first heard that Britney Spears covered the Alanis scorned girl classic ”You Oughta Know” I was a little skeptical of how awesomery it would turn out.  I thought it might be too heavy for her voice.  But then I listened and she really did a great job with it.  I think the reason is because she really gets the rage in it.  Britney’s songs may be all sweet and poppy, but anyone who has been keeping up with her in the past two or three years knows she’s had her fair share of problems and has had time to be angry.

You can listen for yourself after the jump.  What do you guys think?  Did Britney nail it or completely butcher it?

And yes, there is some type of pre-recorded backing vocal but everything else sounds completely live.

With its title, “Circus” nods knowingly at the madhouse that is Britney Spears’ life, acknowledging that things got a little rough after the release of 2007’s “Blackout”.

It’s no secret that Blackout’s launch didn’t go as planned : the furor surrounding her stumbling MTV Video Music Awards lip-sync of “Gimme More” was eclipsed by her institutionalization — a drama played out live on TV, as so much of her life is — and the loss of custody of her two young boys to ex-husband Kevin Federline, all of which pushed “Blackout” far, far to the background.

Britney herself didn’t exactly seem engaged on “Blackout” — it was a club album, a producer’s showcase, so it didn’t matter if Spears didn’t give herself over completely as the behind-the-boards team carried her through.

That distance, combined with her troubles, did give Britney the appearance of losing control completely, and the best way for a pop star to right herself is through image — hence “Circus”, a friendly remake of the hedonistic “Blackout” that posits that all is better with Britney now, thank you.

If “Blackout” was a producers’ album, “Circus” is a handlers’ album, intent on sweeping away any recent unpleasantness — the only acknowledgement is that title — and acting like nothing ever happened, imagining that this is still a world where Britney remains envied and desired, where she can be dolled up as a gauzy Farrah Fawcett pinup on her album cover, where she can sing a drippy ballad about “My Baby” and have nobody raise an eyebrow. She can get away with the former with a bit more ease than the latter if only because all the time, effort, and money is poured into the club tracks, such as the thumping, stuttering first single “Womanizer” and its better, the relentless “Kill The Lights”, so sleek and sexy it winds up diminishing the rest of the record.

“Kill The Lights” may be exceptional, one of Britney’s best-ever singles, but it also doesn’t have much competition here : it’s one of a handful of tracks that follow through on “Blackout”, while the rest of “Circus” plays it safe, never hitting the beats hard enough to alienate a pop audience but perhaps layering on a bit too much saccharine for dance fans. It’s careful and considered, right down to the single-entendre “If U Seek Amy,” a Katy Perry-styled exercise in crass commercial carnality that is at once the best and worst song here. Best because Max Martin once again works his undeniable pop magic, turning this into a trashy stomper that feels inevitable and eternal, working against any sense of taste or decorum, something that the lyrics work overtime to undercut as they insist that all the boys and all the girls still want to fuck.

This sexy strut doesn’t work, not because Spears’ desirability took a nosedive in the five years since “In The Zone” — although it did — but because Britney’s sexiness never was this explicit ; she teased and hinted, at least in her music, and it feels wrong to have her be so nakedly vulgar here. Still, it was a necessary move, a way to stir up headlines and perhaps snatch the tabloid tiara from Katy’s head, but the rest of the record doesn’t follow through as it resorts Spears’ standard formula : a couple of great dance singles, a couple of pretty good chill-out cuts [best being Bloodshy & Avant's "Unusual You"], a couple of not-good-at-all ballads, and a whole bunch of stuff in the middle.

If she feels marginally more connected here than she did on “Blackout”, it’s a Pyrrhic victory, as “Circus” never feels as sleek or addictive as its predecessor.

Okay, so you all remember that there was going to be a fierce dance battle between members of girlgroups at SBS Inkigayo on the 16th?

It included Nicole from Kara , HyunA from 4Minute, GaIn from Brown Eyed Girls, and Minji! They all came down together with different flavors and gave it their best (?) .

Kara’s Nicole went first dancing to Rhianna’s ‘Breakin Dishes’ and it was a whole lot of sex appeal . Then followed Brown Eyed Girls’ GaIn moved to the beat of Britney Spears’ ‘Gimme More’. Thirdly, 4Minute’s and ex Wonder Girl HyunA stepped up and showed more potential as she danced to Prodigy’s ‘Smack  My ***** Up’. Last but not least the wonder Minji stepped up with the coolest and most awesome moves I’ve ever seen. She’s the one that had the most flavor. She danced to Black Eyed Peas ‘Imma Be’

While the other 3 girls tried some major sex appeal , the 15-year  old Minji, a rookie in the entertainment world, was sexy without even trying. She focused more on the pops and the beat of the song than ’shaking her booty’

Yes it is some major 2NE1 Bias but hey! This is a 2NE1 fansitee!

Britney Spears got her hair did (back to blonde!!) yesterday and to celebrate went out to Grand Star Jazz Club at 1 AM and stayed until 3 AM.

Now before all of you get your panties in a wad because Britney is out clubbing again, let me remind you that A) she kept all of her clothes on B) she’s not with Paris Hilton and C) girl hasn’t gone clubbing in over a year and she’s become a completely different person since then, comeback included, so let’s cut her a break, mmkay?

Yesterday, the music dept held a “duck race” at a students family farm. The actual duck race consisted of putting 200 plastic ducks into a river and seeing which would get to the end first! Seriously. You don’t get much more fun than this!

It being a music event, there were also performances from certain students; including the folk ensemble “Folk on Fire”, a duet from from Gemma and Danny, and the A Level students performed two songs together. We, being the A Level students, played “Fly me to the moon” first. Our arrangement of it consists of a slow opening of the first verse with only piano (played by me) and Harriet singing. That is followed by an instrumental with drums (Alex), piano (still me), bass guitar (Lucie- not A Level, but the actual A Level bassist didn’t attend the event) and clarinet (James). Its quite a good piece and I love it! Our second song was the Britney Spears “classic” “Gimme More”. In this, Hariet played guitar and sings the main melody, James took over on the bass,  Alex played the djembe and I sang backing harmonies. This is our acoustic “unplugged” version. And it was also our final EVER performance together! Sad times, really. I’m going to miss these guys so much.

Although, the highlight of the evening for me was definately the crazy quirky things that happened throughout the day. A member of staff wandering round with an advert for Jacket potatoes taped to her back (and yes she knew). Setting up the 2 gazebos (one for music, the other for food) and being paid in cans of coke! Taking my shoes off and then wandering up to the house with bare feet (there were lots of stones! Ouch!). And getting a free jacket potato with chilli on it. Its all about free food, people!

But most importantly. This evening was about saying goodbye to my time in sixth form and mainly to the music department that I have practically lived in for the past 2 years. I’m going to miss them.

Britney Spears camp leaked topless pics of the popstar yesterday whose on tour in the UK. The pics were of Spears video shoot for Gimme More last year.

Today Britney announced on her website that she’s going Down Under to the land of Aussie, to perform her Cirucs Tour for her Australian fans. Says Britney:

“I’ve wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it’s finally happening. My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can’t wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans. See you guys soon!” exclaims Britney.

That seems like a fair swap.
