Gippsland is rich and diverse in nature. It features Gippsland Lakes which is one of the largest and the most beautiful waterways not only in NSW, but in Australia. Set yourselves and your campervan to Croajingolong National Park, covering 87,500 hectares and extends for 100 km along the wilderness coast of Victoria’s East Gippsland. What more, it protects remote beaches, tall forests, heathland, rainforest, estuaries and granite peaks. Another destination for your NSW campervan vacation located southeast of Victoria, but it isn’t JUST another destination. You can take it from Sydney or Melbourne. Discover sandy beaches, rocky coastal headlands, lush rainforests and local wildlife.

Suggesting Mallacoota’s Shady Gully Caravan Park, conveniently located km1 from the town centre, minutes from the Mallacoota Inlet, surf beaches and surrounded by the Croajingolong National Park. The Park is in the far eastern corner of Victoria, about 450 km east of Melbourne and 500 km south of Sydney.

Like the rest of Australia’s main cities, “whenever” is the best time to set a vacation to Victoria. But if you wanted a snowy vacation then of course plan it between June to August. If you are looking at an ample vacation, take Melbourne to Sydney and nest a couple of nights in Victoria. Travel through Campervans save yourself from hotel expenses. Rent out from Sydney or Melbourne, both cities offer comfortable access to Victoria.
