Hi,

       Still thinking of title? It looks eccentric right? I know, it’s eccentric but it’s relative to the book which I have completed on last Saturday. I have completed “The Witch of Portobello“ – book of Paulo Coelho.

      The Witch of Portobello is the story of Athena, a mysterious woman born in Transylvania (Romania), brought up in Beirut and living in London. Her life is told from the point of view of the people who knew her well or hardly at all – like her adoptive mother, her ex-husband, a Journalist, a Priest, her landlord, a teacher of calligraphy, a historian, an actress and some others. 

      In our life, we meet lots of people and we create one image of each. The image created by you is purely based on interaction with the person and behavior of the person with you. But nobody can describe characteristic of someone based on single person’s view. Right? That’s the reason, Paulo portray characteristic of Athena based on point of view of the people who met Athena.

     One more difference is, here Paulo works with the re-emergence of the goddess religion, the interpretation of love, and the feminine face of God within the theme of searching for one’s true self and opening to the energies of the world.

I have note down some points from the book as below.

• No one lights a lamp in order to hide it behind the door: the purpose of light is to create more light, to open people’s eyes, to reveal the marvels around.
• No one can manipulate anyone else. In any relationship, both parties know what they’re doing, even if one of them complains later on that they were used.
• Music isn’t something that conforts or distracts us, it goes beyond that- it’s an ideology. You can judge people by the kind of music they listen to.
• Elegance isn’t a superficial thing, it’s the way mankind has found to honour life and work.
• Faith is not desire. Faith is Will. Desires are things that need to be satisfied, whereas Will is a force. Will changes the space around us but for that, you also need Desire.
• Groups are very important because they force us to progress. If you’re alone, all you can do is laugh at yourself, but if you’re with others, you’ll laugh and then immidiately act. Groups challanges us.
• People learn twenty-five per cent from their teacher, twenty-five per cent from listning to themselves, twenty-five per cent from their friends and twenty-five per cent from time.

Remember the old  good days when Czechoslovakia still existed and tons of gipsy girls were sterilized without their consent?, yeah yeah, the old communist era………ahhh i miss that.

Well apparently  the Czech government its not giving any indemnification to all those gipsy girls that suffered the sterilization…. yeah…… but hey, its not all lost at least they apologized….. that would be enough right? I mean, at the end they made them a favor….. who wants tons of children? ….NOT………

So the Czech government is saying….. sorry girls…. we were not in power……this has nothing 2 do with us…..2 bad for them….. WTF those that mean…. come’ on guys, no one is accepting those apologies… give em some money… that will replace all psychological and physical trauma …….. I think the Czech government should do something about it, i mean the communist era ended in early 90’s but according 2 some human rights this beautiful practice has its last case in 2003…. that has to mean something isn’t it….

I wonder what the Slovakia government will do?, or the sterilization only happened in ugly Czech republic?

Go and fight for ur rights romani people  don’t let them get what they want…… make tons of babies….. and be happy

Het gaat helemaal niet goed met Gipsy, mijn Russisch dwerghamstertje… Hij heeft zijn haartjes weer verloren (ze waren even teruggekomen doordat hij een wintervachtje kreeg, maar doordat het nu zo zacht is, is met zijn wintervachtje ook de rest van zijn haartjes weer weg). Hij mankt een beetje en is afgevallen ook. Maar hij is zoooo lief (nog liever dan voorheen) en staat elke keer aan z’n deurtje te wachten als ik binnenkom.

Mama had al geopperd of hij niet beter een spuitje zou krijgen, maar dat strookt niet met mijn mening. Wanneer het echt niet goed gaat, wanneer het beestje echt heel erg afziet vind ik dat je die beslissing zeker moet kunnen nemen. Maar wanneer het niet goed gaat, maar hij niet echt pijn heeft en eigenlijk nog best wel een schattig oudje is, dan moet je gewoon alles in het werk stellen om hem waardig oud te laten worden.

Daarom zal ik zijn oude kooi weer in gebruik nemen (daar heeft hij als baby ook in gezeten), omdat die minder groot is en minder trapjes heeft zodat hij alles binnen handbereik heeft en het gewoon knus en gezellig heeft. Hij loopt al niet meer in zijn radje, dus ik denk dat dit een goede optie is. Vanavond vindt de verhuis plaats.

Ik hoop dat mijn klein bolletje het nog even mag trekken, want geloof het of niet, ook van zo’n klein beestje kan je heel veel liefde krijgen… Ik ben eens benieuwd hoe hij zal reageren op zijn nieuwe (oude) woonst!

Een foto heb ik voorlopig niet, ik vind het zo erg als ik foto’s van een jaar geleden vergelijk met die van nu… Ik zal proberen er eens een mooie te maken één van deze dagen zodat ik toch een mooie foto heb van als hij ouder was ook.

In De Melkweg in Amsterdam wordt aanstaande zaterdag 7 november het festival Balkan Revolutia gehouden. Twintig jaar na de val van de muur wordt een feestje gevierd met Oost-Europese muziek met onder andere Ayarkaan, Marynka & The Flowers, OMFO, MoskowDisko en de Amsterdam Klezmer band. Kaarten kosten 15 euro en zijn verkrijgbaar bij De Melkweg en Ticketservice.

In Kriterium in Amsterdam wordt op 30 en 31 oktober en 1 november het Balkan Snapshots Film Festival gehouden. Naast speelfilms zijn er documentaires, animatiefilms en is er videokunst te zien. I came home around  1 AM from a friend, like i usually do when i come home, this time again i turned on my PC to check if i have any messages. This time too, like from a time, i got just some unimportant bunch of messages. One of my friends it was online. I remained invisible  -i do so’ when i don’t wanna talk and wanna be left alone-  ofcourse i said hello, just to let him know that i am at home.

I fall asleep around 3 or 4, because i wanted to finish something important to that friend. He wanted me to help him with somehting and because we both didn’t match with the time this days, i wanted to finish it now. I didn’t really knew how i’ll gonna do it alone, because i decided to do it this morning and not to wait anymore, after he went to sleep. I was like.. „uffff, what else i can write here???” Thinking at what we talked about, at what he told me about in the past and checking the websites, lil’ by lil’ i came out with the thing completed, almost, because i let him a message to check it out in the morning and to print it in the same morning.

I finally got to sleep. It says that we have 3 dreams per night. It was 6 and a half in the morning and i didn’t had any dream, at least none to remember about, when i heard a gipsy neighbour talking so’ loud that she could wake a dead. In that moment, something made me go to the other room and then i couldn’t hear her any more. I was like, who the hell gived her the apartment below me?! And where from she came?! From jungle?! From  cave?! For god sike! She is acting like a gipsy, with no well-behaved respect for no one, not even for her-self first of all. She misplaced the cave with the civilisation. I am sure she doesn’t know what is the difference between this two. No one else is acting like her in the district i live and she thought she can be a clown, just to be on the spotlights. Why else to be like that? Stupid woman!

In the last months that she got here, we had 2 hard talks. First was after a couple of days that they moved on here. I think at seven PM they are sleeping (she stays here with her husband) or she is. She is around 50 and he is around 55. In the period they came, i was renovating and we weren’t doing any loud noise for god sick, and if we were so’, we can from 7 AM till 13 PM and from 17PM till 22 PM. On the first day that she began talking like a gipsy, i let her in her stupidity, i thought that perhaps for her we were making loud noise, strange, because for the other neighbours that are around me, one of them she is 67. They didn’t said a thing, i asked about, and they said that no, is ok with what we we’re doing. Next day, the gipsy one, she began her dirty talks again. I couldn’t resist anymore and i went down over her apartment to find out what the hell she wants? Their 30 years old son who is in police, opened the door to me. I asked with a straight face if we were making loud noise?! (they where renovating too) He said: „no, you are not.” Then i asked: „ok, and then what is your mother’s problem?!” He said: „she is not talking about you gays.” I said: „i hope she is not, because i don’t want to come over again!”

After fiew days i went with some of my friends to seashore. She wasn’t acting like a gipsy anymore. I said at that time, that she will began again sooner or later acting like that again, because this kind of people can’t change what they are. After a couple of days, i came home. I asked if she said something again, she wasn’t, but after another couple a days, she couldn’t resist staying in the shadow anymore, and she began again being a gipsy. I was like I am gonna kick her dumb ass this time for good! Her husband, he wasn’t saying anything, like always, she was. I told her: „I am gonna tear off your neck, your husbund’s neck and your son’s neck if you are gonna act in this way anymore! In 24 years, no one said something about us and you came now with this bullshits! If you don’t like something, call 112 to do something about, because i am tired of your primitive gestures woman! Go back to your cave, woman! And that was all.

After she wake me up at 6 and a half this morning, i went to sleep again. I was sudenly woke up by a bad dream. I looked at the time, it was off. I guess it was his day off today.

The bad dream it was about one of my brothers.
