What a time this that has gone from last post has been!

Freak Monday in NY.

Intense… and also freaky and I don’t really mean it just because we could actually spend Halloween in a Country that celebrates it

I have the feeling this post is going to be fairly LONG, all over the place… probably messy… a bit spooky… a LOT loving… and that it will end with lots of videos up.

Where do I start from?

From the fact that I wrote all this (well, almost all… something was added on Sunday as final touches, and unexpectedly, even just RIGHT now today because lovely Behati surprised me a LOT once again with her intense love and dedication to Adam, by STILL be with him just until practically TODAY… despite the fact Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is just around the corner! but later on that, sorry for the spoil ) while flying over Atlantic – I lacked sleep -, then for some reason iPad yesterday decided to shut down and I resumed the post only this morning/late afternoon to be posted, cos nothing works better than the quietness of my lab space / my homely couch to somehow edit my blog logorrhea?

I might start from all that actually.

Why not.

And truth to be told is not really like I edit much my blog posting… from the way I write, and the mistakes and errors that I make every single time I update this, you get that I write always very impulsively and I rarely check back.

Which makes my posts messy, but I don’t care because this is my space and I manage it just like I please.

I don’t write this for any occasional reader and (you know how I am ) I actually absolutely don’t care who reads this, or if anyone has an opinion on what I write.

This blog is not for any stranger, even though strangers read it.

That’s a sort of collateral effect/damage that has no relevance to my world.

My blog is written for my pleasure of tracking back memories I like or feel interested in and for my crew and friends who enjoy it and send me material to work over, which I have an opinion or a feeling about myself in such a decent amount to be actually moved in writing.

The fact you occasional readers may agree or not with my perspectives frankly doesn’t move a grain of sand in my universe.

I don’t care either way… I don’t write here for anything else than my own likeness and the only opinions I care about are those of my husband, our families, my real life people and friends and crew.

NOBODY ELSE MATTERS and so, stop to quarrel about what I write here because you’re losing breath, and a lot of good energies that you all could spend LIVING FOR REAL instead than online, battling for or against people you won’t ever even meet.

You don’t belong to my world, so why should I care about you?

Just a friendly reminder about grounding and stop filling my inbox with shit.

Because as I said it would be always un-relevant in my world,unless observations come from the above mentioned crop of people.

But let’s take it back from the start, and recollect a bit of this long time (longer than expected) K&I spent abroad.

When we decided to spend some days in USA, we (I swear) didn’t plan to make them over two weeks long.

But then forces of Nature (Sandy) and arrangements (working schedules, mines), family business (Karim’s) and beloved holidays (Halloween) suggested us to simply stay in New York a bit more, just for the sake of it.

You all know I completely adore New York; I just fit it in so well, and with hubby we’ve already talked a lot about the chances to be NY based for a while in the next few years.

I mean… I adore California too and I treasure every time we spend over there both in my house in LA and in K’s parental sort-of-castle in SF, but still… it’s NY that I do feel best in when we are in USA.

Lucky me, half of K’s family is actually Manhattan-based (pheeeeeewwww) so I can get some slack cut for my predilection.

We might even decide to spend a chunk of our lives there in a while.

We have talked often about this and I am all but opposite to the perspective.

I’d love it.

House is there already so it not really problematic in fact.

It would not be.

The “holiday”/”working”/”abroad” time has been spent in California, quickly in LA, just basically to catch Maroon5 at Orpheum (later) and to live a blink at least in Karim’s native home, which is always magical because I adore that flair that surges from San Francisco… it makes me feel belonging, really belonging to my K. a lot.

We might even do nothing at all there… but to imagine him as a little man (for the times he spent there in between his family foreign detachments) playing over there, hiding, taking music and art classes in those hugely-ceiled rooms… it makes me warm.

Anytime there, impromptu, K. would describe me a piece of a long-lost memory of his early days and I know it sounds horribly corny and unoriginal but every single time he does… I weep.

I sob and I weep because it’s like i can see it, like in a back memory of a movie in flashback.

It’s precious.

It’s everything in fact.

This year when we finally decided we could spend Halloween in New York, we had in mind the fact hurricane superstorm mega bitch Sandy could have been a risk too hot to handle, but the fact is that we really enjoy the Upper West Side flair for the holiday and so we arranged all to remain.

Our inspiration for Halloween 2012 were Eva Kant and Diabolik

Picking a costume wasn’t easy but then to celebrate we picked up on Eva Kant and Diabolik because they are just like us: smart, handsome, strong-minded, sexy as hell and utterly, completely, sickly in love and devoted to one another.

If you read the irony about me calling myself “sickly and devotedly in love” I get you.

You are right.

But that’s what I am now and it’s all due to my better half (I still a nympho who loves VERY kinky sex twists, but trust, hubby likes them all too ).

But Sandy indeed has been a reveal.

In tough times people reveal themselves; so it has been such an impact to witness how the whole of New York reacted to the impressive, unbearable force of Nature.

With a lot of dignity.

In Italy people would have been wasted away on all this; not here.

People have taken their burdens and work so immediately to get things back on track; and in all this my admire for NY Mayor, Bloomberg, has widened to unprecedented levels.

Then he just endorsed Obama and this is the final confirmation he rocks.

I would actually like him to be a future Presidential Candidate.

He would most definitely get me geared up and fight well for my vote.

Fact is what we face as world in this just-about-happening round of America’s vote is CRUCIAL and I really, really hope America doesn’t fuck up and that they (PLEASE; do it) re-elect Obama.

And these elections are VERY important.

This incoming year is so mattering.

Berlusconi and Grillo are just the same poison hopefully Italy doesn’t drink again….

In Italy we finally got rid of the cancer that Berlusconi has been – and keeps being, but now that his power is fading and the first sentences (always too mitigated by the laws HE PASSED TO SAVE HIS ASS) that is fading a bit as well, making his joke party crumble and crumble in shame – but the stupidity and lack of foresight of my fellow Countrymen, always trying to send at in power chairs people absolutely unfitting, is pushing FUCKING Beppe Grillo so high I am ready to hang my head in shame once again.

Is it possible for us to realize populism is a venom and doesn’t solve a thing, or it just takes a clown with tv in his resume and lots of flamboyant yet dleterious and unpraticable ideas only to move us as masses cheering, and still blindly?

Because Grillo and Berlusconi are scarely EQUAL.

Think about it.

They are.

Another one that is scarely similar to Berlusconi in many ways is Mitt Robo- Romney and God please please protect us from the tragedy that it would be to have him and that TERRORIST of a Vice President in pectore he has chosen for himself (scary, terrifying scum Paul Ryan) because that would be the worst thing to ever happen to the world if they would defeat Obama.

I hope not… but we are talking about the same people who allowed Bush a DOUBLE stint in the White House so we all know how this can turn off and out.

let’s hope USA pick up wisely and that they pick OBAMA.

Romney is somebody who will do good only for the rich.

Better… the SUPER rich.

I am in the wealthy (very?) category in both my Countries and I always laugh when naive people get surprised a rich person would want to be a leftist, or admits being.

Wake up… to be left has more to do with culture, education, progression than money; basically, a lot of the people who call themselves progressive are often VERY rich.

It comes down to talent and focus, and the fact is that we think wealth is a great thing, if and only if it’s the result of a well applied talent that got to blossom and produce a great result.

But once people who are progressive become (or they are from the start) rich, we don’t think it’s anything else than fair to give back and use also our wealth to improve the world.

And to help those less fortunate in actively have more opportunities.

We don’t seclude wealth for ourselves.

We are never defined by it.

We live with it and never, ever ever for it.

Only greedy people can think differently and greediness is just a wrong output in wealth, not a characteristic of it.

Romney is rich and this appeals to the lobbies he sustains and to a plethora of not rich people who think he could help them get there (same mistake many stupid, naive, illogical and blind Italians did with criminal Berlusconi, who as Romney is a tax evasion master, a liar, and somebody who can say everything and its contrary in the span of a blink just to keep the fakery going for HIS ONLY RETURN, and his only gain).

He won’t help nobody but himself and his lobbies in getting rich.

Just like Berlusconi didn’t do anything else but ruin our Country while getting richer himself.

Romney “plans” (?) for America are just the same old formulas Berlusconi used and even stupid Robo-Romney agrees that is not like Italy went to a great place under Berlusconi right ? (of course, just like Berlusconi, ask Robo about this and he will say he was “misunderstood” and “taken out of context”: professional liars with no real vision tend to say whatever and its contrary to gain approval, all conscious they will never apply any of their “plans”, just try to make their own bare interests once in charge).

Get rich or Die trying should be a push to get there by effort, not by tricks, like Romney has always done; I thought Americans were smarter than us in these facts but it seems they are not; I fear they would be not.

Romney is like people in sport using doping to win: and just like doping it’s the death of sport he’s the death of real politic skills (and look, I have always been pro-Obama but at least last turn McCain was a fair man) and politic vision and justice so I pledge and pray in a bunch of hours the whole world won’t be forced and condemned to face his “guide” for 4 years, because that could just be the (proper?) death of the whole world.

USA, don’t fuck it up: OBAMA is and must be your President AGAIN. Don’t throw the world and yourselves under the bus. PLEASE

Am I digressing?

Who cares.

I am spoken out my mind here and just like The Economist did I endorse Obama (but I am convinced he did actually the – possible available – best in his first quadrennium, so I am more openly pro-him than The Economist, which anyway speaks volume because it’s a conservative publication that dismisses the Conservative candidate. Let’s hope America tunes in because Romney put simply would be  world-wide disgrace of epic proportions if elected. So DON’T DO IT).

This is my blog and these are my visions, ideas, opinions and if you don’t like them, I couldn’t give a frigging flying FUCK less.

How do I start?

Because yes, there is a field of pain lately in my life… and it grows and even though sometimes I get temporary relief (I learnt Milan won 5-1 last game but it still pains me the way we are NOT playing at all this year) truth is so far my Sporty Season Lovers are SHIT.

I mean…. my Milan is shit (most than not, yet… it isn’t enough to win a single game 5-1 if when we need at least not to lose we generally blow all goodness up and away like we’d sneeze in a tissue…), Olimpia Milano is shit… and the Lakers, whom I still trust have a GREAT team this year (I still think so) are off to one of the shittiest starters ever and most definitely the worst one since 1978 at least.

Yes I know this past night we won finally against the Pistons but it’s not like my pain and fears are disappearing any time soon due to it.

The derby against the Clippers was PURE HORROR.

K&I bleeded along our LA pride (which still up and worn without any downgrading, thank you very much) and forced to watch the games (?) from NY we went multiple times in sexual healing mode at the wee bit of nights because when your team blows up… sometimes the best remedy is to blow… as well… erm… you get me (and that WORKS every time. Trust me there ).
Anyway to me… We have only ONE to blame all this Lakers ignominy for.

Wasn’t enough what he (didn’t) display last year? Why in the whole universe did we let him STAY and fathom our chances ill this season too? Man has absolutely NO IDEA on how this game has to be played.

Lakers 2012 / 2013 are a great team. Let’s hope Mike Brown doesn’t destroy it.

I am not trying to compare anything he does with the great PJax (because it’s like comparing Einstein to a Nehanderthalian) but pick ANY of the other NBA coaches and you still have someone who SHITS on anything Brown has ever done, does or will ever do.

Well at least one good thing in the NBA has happened though: our archie-enemy, David FUCKING MONSTER OF BIAS Stern (er, like darth Vader) is no longer the NBA all powerful Commissioner.

It depends what else I am writing that might make me steam some more off and out (this post is going to be chaotic, as it always happens when I have lots to write and I am tripping on iPad).
We landed on a Sunday anyway so I could do whatever I wanted after and sleep all day in… well… before we went out visiting Marghe and Eva at least , we did.

Also very strangely for me I didn’t really sleep much on the flight back to Malpensa so my Sunday and K’s was very… how can I say… slow.

We took things all very slow to re-educate ourselves on Italian timetable, which being already switched to Daylight Savings caused us even more of a jet-lag feel I guess).

I missed Italy anyway.

I always do when I am far away no matter how well I feel far away.

I missed my horse Swifty (today was the re-meet for us too, finally!), my very Italian home cooking, and the constant chit chat on the streets.

Anywhere else, even the loudest place seems always very quiet compared to us

No matter if – especially alone in New York, when all power was almost out despite our house was relying on three additional power-generators – K&I spent a lot of time in a cross atmosphere among Blue Velvet, Last Tango in Paris and Nine Weeks and a half…

I missed my Italian sky, the mess that it can be living here, the passion and the flaws, the peaks and the lows of belonging to this unique Country.

I’m Italian to the core because I treasure history and beauty and education.

I am just made of all this and all this is quintessentially Italian, as the greatest geniuses in history testify.

And talking about Beauty, my friends have pushed me in a new direction…

So while we are on the actual subject of beauty I am tempted to start first with Behati and Adam and then move towards Maroon 5… generally I keep the two sections kinda separated though intertwined but I have no idea this time and I might end making this part of the post like a pout-pourri.

Talking about beauty… Adam’s body SURELY is a thing of it. Doing yoga with Chad on tour.

Thing is that I have like a LOT of material because a lot has happened… (of course don’t expect any The Karaoke Mess The Fuckery that thing link at episodes because that stay in the NAWWAL sections … but I will post a couple of NY interviews also here because Adam was adorable there and I have to, even though they refer to that awful thing – which he hopefully will detach from, as it seems from what he told The Today Show, ending Season 4. Good. Your plans for acting come first I see. )

I am kinda dizzy writing over a plane and I wish I could sleep so beware the incongruities of the writing and… whatever

We had left our best couple and Maroon 5 in last post after they reunited in part of the Asian tour (when Behati literally walked through skies and seas just to be with her love… I still melt when I think of all that she is doing to keep Adam happy… I LOVE this and her for this); the boys then flew to end their tour in Australia and then they went back to LA immediately because Adam had his duties as that thing “element” to fullfill (and they film at once Season 3 and 4 so the poor man literally doesn’t sleep… even less he does than usual, which is somehow scary).

Adam allegedly had to keep his – erm…. not so good looking? not very fitting? awkward? – facial hair up the first day because he might have had to shot more scenes for a Maroon 5 video (Valerie Van Der Graaf was also in Los Angeles… and since the video that could have been completed looks more like Daylight than The Man Who Never Lied, I wonder if in the end Valerie was casted for Daylight and not TMWNL… I am curious, really. I also think that Maroon 5 fans are not that creative to be able to help Maroon 5 to create a real music video, so it wouldn’t sound strange if the guys had to re-plan their intakes for next incoming video, looking as the Project kinda failed… but we’ll see, as I said. I am certainly interested in seeing beautiful Valerie as one of the Maroon 5 video vixen: she fits the line up well ).

While Adam was engaged in all of that, Behati was back on the other coast again working her ass off for VS – she is going to be adorable in The Valentine’s Day Commercial!! Can’t wait to see her smile! – and not only (the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show doesn’t make itself up alone and she is one of the Official Angels walking so of course things gotta get prepared well ).

She is always so wonderful and adorable… take some video to understand and get into Bee’s world of lively loveliness…

In the main time (do you remember? we talked about that previously as well) more news kept surfacing about Adam being on the hunt for a new house.

Of course, like all rich people do, these incumbencies are taken care of by lawyers and paid people; also because, much in his style, whatever house Adam would buy wouldn’t be in its final version; renewals were to be in order anyway so basically what he was hunting for was a neighborhood, a convenient acre surface, a position, and some other details that didn’t need his presence on the spot anyway.

More on this later.

One More Night then was (and still) keep being at the top of Billboard, swindling off Psy’s Gangnam Style competition in really unexpected showing off of power.

Karim and I were ready to fly to California, and the flight made us miss the debut of American Horror Story – Asylum – with the much, much talked about Adam’s debut as a proper actor.

He did good… I actually thought he did better than I expected and you know I had some reserves there (I think he will try to outreach acting more if he gets the right script).

He also started what seemed the longest possible way to die on a Tv series that I remember of (of course, the smart Ryan Murphy would milk his presence on the series as much as possible, knowing that the ratings would respond and sky-rocket… thing that they did, and they really did due to Adam as many analysis pointed out):

If you think a cut arm can make Adam die… think again though, because in Episode 2 he was still bleeding…

So basically Ryan Murphy is putting Adam up in every episode (so far) so that audiences made of his army of fans can be kept and hopefully hooked, and even now that he is for sure dead after Episode 3 and the shooting (his Leo alias is dead, of course, not him), he still says that we will see more of him (of course, how could he keep milking him otherwise ?) because the season will show more connection between past Biarcliffs facts and current.

I hope really that McDermott coming back shows the connection (because Adam and Dylan’s look are very similar so that MUST be used in the show.. also Zachary Quinto and Adam look alike so that could be another link to be axplored and I’d die if the link was among the THREE of them…)

By the way I REALLY love the whole season of AHS so far and this independently from Adam.

That’s MY kind of show… even though it still NOT the kind of show Adam likes at all, as many interviews (that you’re gonna hear soon here too) prove.

So by the time K& I were landing in California, Behati was  working in New York and attending Donna Karan “Connecting The Dots” exhibit (and how lovely she did look? she’s flawless both grungy and classy) , planning some more things for her New York time after the Donna Karan thing and Adam was busy with his duties for that thing too and Maroon 5 were gearing up for the gig at Orpheum Teather… which we attended.

It was a great gig, BUT I personally didn’t like it to be so much talked;(the report mistakes the words said about TMWNL linking them to Harder To breathe, which is idiotic cos harder to breathe was written in 2001 and can’t be about a very recent ex girl right?) especially because some of the words told were not exactly… ahem… believable?

I mean, dear Adam… do you REALLY think that just by saying The Man Who Never Lied isn’t about one of your “very recent ex girlfriends” but about “our record company” (BOOOOOOOM!!! Lol…) we believe you?

During the gig I found Adam way too puffy for my likings anyway… I don’t like him overbulked, much less when not toned up as he seemed there (or he just was wearing the most unfitting clothes ever).

You know that.

I love him muscular, why not, but I want him back to his slender frame (which he is seemingly displaying again though, so it’s okay… guess Asian food isn’t good for him )

A lovely thing that happened at the gig was that all the friends and crew of the boys who were there DID EXPECT BEHATI along and when she wasn’t able to be there, all expressed their missing of her (it’s amazing how Maroon 5 inner circle ADORES Behati and how she connected with both males and females… a thing which is new in Adam’s life actually).

Basically Behati is considered the perfect rocker girlfriend; they love her friendly spirit, the fact she is down to Earth and never tries to upstage anyone, and that she sincerely seems wanting to be part of the boys’ crew for her care of Adam, and not trying to steal him away from them.

And after all, how not to love somebody who goes in Africa with her bestie Coco Rocha and feeds elephants, and always look so sweet and funny and genuine?

Ali Tamposi (James’ girl) was particularly adorable as Steph Farrar (Sam’s wife) was too… and I melt everytime I see this love of them gets so supported by the people who cares the most about Adam: certainly they weren’t happy about the way he had been played before, and the fact they treasure this link now speak volumes about how they think Bee is good for Adam.

And their opinion MATTERS actually .

Of course (I will repeat this ad nauseam) none of this guarantee the longevity of any lovestory but to be loved also by someone’s friends and family certainly is a good step in the right direction for any relationship to last decently.

But back on the activity.

Once in Los Angeles, Maroon 5 had work to do.

Adam stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest to talk about “Huge News”.

I got mindblown how the usual retards (mostly little girls whose intelligence resembles a hamster, but also grown people who would honestly need a stop to a headshrinker for how they can get heated up about people they genuinely hate with no reason other than a life otherwise not filled by a thing I guess) thought the “huge news” could be about his personal life…

Like Adam talks about those things ON AIR…

He is extremely well reserved and his private life is his own; now that he is not pushed by any fame chaser to drop names and facts, but can be back to his old self when he would absolutely NEVER talk about his private life, because the person he’s with now is as reserved as he is, surely the topic of conversation had to be Maroon 5 WORK, right?

My friends and I, despite we yet don’t know if we can actually attend all those, have already bought super tickets for three of the dates of the American Tour at least:

It’s going to be great honestly and then we have also the dates in UK already booked and Bercy… I still not convinced about Italian stop at the Lucca Festival… I don’t really like Festivals that way with them…

While Adam and Maroon 5 were all out in La doing their stuff, Behati was papped in New York and exploited (why mention Adam along? it was unnecessary… I hate all gossip magazines and Just Jared for trying to do what they were doing previously, namely get in the way of Adam’s personal life.

Adam doesn’t like that and Behati doesn’t like that as well so I hope this useless and out of reach type of posts stop as soon as possible.

Behati is another breed; she’s not in this relationship for chasing a broader fame so let her live and stop to use her to mention Adam: you won’t get anywhere good with that; Adam despises these things, now more than he ever did after having been tricked FOR them messed up his life for two years.

Behati also doesn’t like that and you could tell by her face there in those shots: she probably thought “What the hell, get outta my way…”.

Anyway, days were passing and Adam and Maroon 5 moved on to New York – not before Adam didn’t catch a glimpse of his beloved Prince in Los Angeles though -  (we did too move to New York , but before them in fact, so THEY were following us… don’t you think? LOL)… whom do you think was the happiest about all of their promo appearances?

K&I and his grannie (!!!!!) had tickets for the Letterman show; but I knew also that Adam was scheduled to be honored at a GQ event that was private, the Annual GQ Gentlemen’s Ball, which he attended to receive honors for his continued (and always very secretive) charity work for children.

The two lovers certainly had their fun of time sharing in New York, but as Sandy was ready to storm onto the poor glorious town (and believe me…. it was NASTY!!!), Adam and the guys headed back to Los Angeles, and Behati – but we did know only later, and way laterally – actually flew to ROME to work to a project that of course she didn’t reveal a thing about (she is amazing like this).

There is a conjecture of me and the crew about the reason behind Adam and Christina’s seemingly better relationship on their show: first of all, it’s a matter of image; they cannot fight when they are promoting the show AND their records.

Then we guess after actively trying to get his dick   attention and getting refused out (just because he really doesn’t like fat girls) Adam probably finally gave in to her before getting it on with Behati (around the time when he and the previous girlfriends were actually already split up and he surely had a wandering roundup of sexual relationship to get back his activity after for months he could barely fuck once every three weeks, given that his supposed half was never there with him) for a matter of stopping making her bother him I guess, or just because whatever… a fuck is a fuck in his world – and we all know it goes like that when he’s unleashed—.

Probably Christina wanted more and more but never obtained it – hence the fights they openly had on past season of The Fuckery? that thing; but after he got officially with somebody else she probably had to give up and content herself with being able to recall she also went someday just dickmatized by Adam’s infamously talented— how to say— extremity.

This is only a guess but… well, let’s say it makes sense.

Now, many outlet reported the news, but as usual, let me just say the gossip magazines and sites were only partially informed, while other better news-magazines at least just gave the right cut at the news.

I came in to a site that I trust about riches’ purchases of houses in the LA area because when I decided to set up around Glendale in LA I searched for the services of people basing myself – among other trustees – to someone mentioned often here (well, not like I trust a blog but the person managing this actually knows how to do the job).

So read a bit about HOW RICH PEOPLE ACTUALLY OPERATE IN REAL ESTATE MATTERS:

Now first of all this surely isn’t a bachelor pad… Adam clearly bought this thinking about his incoming family (that won’t happen ANYTIME soon… expect him to be ready for family not before he’s actually 38/40…).

But the house although very big and family-ready certainly isn’t the style he likes so of course he will totally remake it.

I expect the bedrooms to be cut from 6 to 3, and spaces to be created.

The guest house will certainly stay because it’s convenient, but all the extra space will surely see a basketball court growing and probably an in-site studio, and maybe he will also enlarge the living surface and made his architect increase the size of the buildings.

Certainly he has room to make there the house he wants; the neighborhood is amazing (the Beckhams, Bruce Springsteen… sounds fairly fine ) and the schools at reach are amazing to; Harvard Westlake being the first choice of course (he can ask dear friend Jake Gyllenhall about that, and he has probably already done it).

He still have his previous Los Feliz house too (and he will keep it until at least some renovations aren’t made in the new one… and until someone won’t buy it at the price HE WILL THINK FITS Man is a talented seller anyway he has surely instructed his lawyers well about anything related to his preferences there):

I am really happy about Adam moving to BH, even though this way he really moves far away from my house in LA so no way to cross him at Whole Foods anymore But ehi, it’s not that important.

He picked the house up wisely.

I can’t wait to see how he will transform the house and after all his dear Mark Haddawy not only made his Los Feliz House, but has already done for himself another Canyon House in Beverly hills so he’s just there to be reached and work for Adam in team again isn’t he?

So the fact is that Behati made it in time to be by Adam’s side at the Lakers Game opener on October 30th... and this is truly fantastic to me.

She didn’t probably even sleep to be there considering on October 28 evening she was still in Rome working (and that explains why she was a bit showing tiredness on her face… only stupid people who don’t know how Behati is SINCE AGES and her childhood a basketball fanatic could think she didn’t care or was interested in the game. Behati can probably kick Adam’s ass in the game and hopefully one day she will in the basketball court he’s ready to build in his new house … Behati is a natural in playing basketball. And she knows the game VERY well actually. Adam this time can actually talk for real about basket with his girlfriend, and not have someone pretending she cares while all she thinks about is which angle to offer to paparazzi courtside ).

The morning after it was THE GREAT DAY OF HALLOWEEN and all Maroon 5 fans know even too well how that day is SACRED for their inner circle.

They plan their costumes months in advance with a specific care and by now Maroon 5 “Spooktacular” Event is by far THE event of Halloween in Los Angeles.

That morning Adam and Behati went Grocery shopping and you can see how natural as a couple they are… and how she always goes bareface and totally simple along with him (I suppose those jeans she wears are actually stolen from his cupboard…).

Now Behati is a well known Halloween lover too and in fact so far the editorial of her I dig the most is the i-D one where she went zombiefied.

I was curious to see how she would have dressed like because Adam revealed in the amp interview he and the crew would have gone as Sons Of Anarchy‘s characters and he would have been Opie (sadly deceased).

Well…

Behati got some Japanese inspiration and dressed as a very colorful and Harajuku-like mix among a biker chick, and Donna (the haircut) + Lyla (the pornstar look) hybrid.

Donna and Lyla were the two wives of Opie (one is dead, the other survived his death instead).

Basically, Bee had her twist on the story and I LOVED ALL THAT SHE BROUGHT IN.

She was amazing to me (of course I am a Japan Lover so… it was an easy win for me ).

It was again and once more held up at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, because by now the amount of people going there is so huge Adam’s house just can’t  hold them all; and in fact to spoil who was there is always one of the greatest thing about it.

And I thought it would have been IT (I loved the coverage from French Fashion sites by the way…)… but then just this morning I woke up and as usual people who help me somehow collect material for my pages informed me that BEHATI WAS STILL WITH ADAM IN LOS ANGELES also yesterday, Sunday 4th, as Just Jared reported (I still don’t like rags, much less Perez and Just Jared who jaded Adam so many times before he became as popular as he is now…).

What was awesome was the way they turned a paparazzi thing (that they detest, by now it should be clear) to a reason to be charitable and push people at doing good.

My jaw anyway had dropped about Bee still being with him though and it did because of LOVE for them, and for how joyous I am every time I realize (even BEYOND my expectations) how wonderful Behati is for Adam, how much she does take a good care of him.

Basically she expected Behati to be already in New York by then (as I did); but THE LOVE kept her by Adam’s side and I find this UTTERLY AMAZING.

I am not worried about her presence in the VSFS because she’s part of the official Angels Line up, so either she already had her fitting when she was in NY in October (before flying to Rome) or she will today like Adriana Lima will (and also Lindzey Ellingston, another official Angel, hasn’t had her fitting yet so it’s not like Behati is alone in not being yet there before the show):

Like a girlfriend who is in ACTUAL love and cares about a relationship should do.

I mean… if you were Adam Levine’s girlfriend, where else but by him would you like to be?

Why spend nights alone in towns far away MILES AND MILES, when you can be in his bed and have sex with him and spend all possible time you have with him?

Honest to God… what Behati does is just what everyone who is with him shall do and I am glad now Adam is with someone who LIKES being with him, and isn’t there just to be papped round and then flies away at any given chance because in the end anything else but him was more important than him.

If she has to barely sleep to be with him as much as possible, take all flights all over the world and quick to not miss a second with him… she does it.

She CHERISHES Adam; and therefore I cherish her, because she is making him truly happy, and she makes him finally feel loved and taken care of.

This makes me happy a lot, because he deserves someone loving him and not using him; he has been used so wildly and horribly before Behati came into the picture, that the fact now he is just basking in the love Bee pours onto him makes me feel warm inside, because that has erased his wounds and the fact he wasted years on nothing true.

But in a way this unexpected Behati move made this post:

1) longer;

2) even more messy, because I had to put pieces of this inside the structure I had previously made;

3) even more of a punch in the face of this couple haters (which I don’t mind, because all of them are like a ZERO in life, and so to make them even more mad is a source of infinite fun for me because I am mean and cruel to people I consider scum and losers… and sure them hating on these two are part of the category of losers, and scum )

4) probably even more unreadable… and more filled with media material (which is bad for my storage and the fact that I have to pay a lot for it )

BUT in the end I don’t care, because to wake up with the news that the Lakers won and that this couple I so like was still probably have wild sex even by the time I was sleeping just made me happy.

“My mom was very young when she had her girls.  I am the 3rd one from the left. She was a good Catholic Jersey Girl and by the age of 23 years had her four girls.   Her life was not easy, but never once did I question her love for me. On her good days she was lots of fun.  She would take us girls all over New York City. To galleries, art museums, and parades.  She left this world to soon. To soon for me to understand the deep sadness she had.  She had a major brake down and all of us girls were removed from our home at a young pre-teen age. 1.  If a pair of shoes could describe your walking in the story of an introvert. What would those shoes look like?  What does that walk Look Like?

 Here is what our girlfriend Stefani, from Oregon had to say:

“I think that the best pair of shoes for me would be tennis shoes. I would say slippers but that makes me sound lazy. If you see the shoes that I wear now they are well loved and something most people will not even notice. For me it is always about comfort and the ability to just get things done. Hence the really wanting to say slippers. The walk would look like someone with a purpose. Since my life is that of an introvert, just going out and window shopping is not something I would do. I like coming along side my family and friends and not even thinking about my own recognition.”

2.  Do you ever yearn to be more of an extrovert?  When do those moments of yearning hit you?

“I must be honest and admit that I have not really ever thought about being an extrovert. I have no desire to hang out with large groups of people for that is exhausting. I much prefer the smaller setting where the discussion can have more depth to it. To truly find out how the person thinks and looks at life is exciting for me. Being in a large group does not give me that kind of opportunity so it feels a little shallow.”

I had the pleasure of taking a beautiful walk with a dear friend that I had lost touch with for decades.  She was actually one of my first best friends and I was thrilled, decades later, when we reconnected.  There is something profound about those friends we grow up with.  No matter how much time passes, they are so thoroughly and forever intertwined into who we are that it’s like not a day really passes when we are apart.  We pick up as though no time has passed.  On that day when we had the good fortune of taking a walk together and admiring the very pretty neighborhood we were in, I found this beautiful star on one of the gates we passed.  It reminded me of our friendship and of how sometimes the tried and true, hard worn and well loved pieces of your life are best.

Beside than everyone in my book should learn Japanese and should go to the place and just worship everything Nihon as much as I do… but I am diverting from the man path here, I know

Truth is I am so emotionally involved with Japan that I properly need to be there… and so this year we will get there for my birthday, the way it was originally planned for past years, but got replaced by… guess what? Africa, Mozambique, Namibia & so on then some California Love (talk about life connections, lol…).

It will be during Hanami and I just cannot wait even though we’re barely out of Summer and I just got back from some days in Holland and I am just about to re-travel again (but all this kind of traveling involves also business while on my birthday it will just be magic epicness and no duties ).

Before we dwell a bit into my life (always a tad hectic, lol) in the past three weeks, please leave me in a sad corner and let me cry my (sporty) heart out just a little bit.

Let me mourn some heavy seconds the death of my Milan… I mean… I couldn’t be a bit happy for the good game we played in Champions League against Zenith San Petersburg (and how it reminded me of the beautiful Russian time last year… that still has been one of the most beautiful holidays I have had! so romantic and perfect!) than we just decided to crumble at our worst levels (helped by some undignified arbitrage gotta say) by falling to Inter on October 7th (not even the fact I was in Van Basten’s land helped me there to cope… Karim had to sex me up REALLY much & well to make me work the day after but ehi… you know my ways to Sexual Healing are powerful ).

I can’t with the way Milan this year really do seem pointless, and basically without any developing plan in sight.

It makes me so sad at times…

Florence times are always magic for K&I

And indeed I have to say the Amsterdam time has been magical anyway (much like our little blitz in Florence this past weekend, when we have packed on this just past Saturday morning just because we didn’t want to stay in Milano with all the traffic of cars blocked, and tons of people stuck in our most liked weekend places in the area).

We went there in Dutch Lands with some of the crew for a VERY entertaining weekend, but then K&I stayed because both had some working duties to fulfill there and I DON’T COMPLAIN.

The town is amazing (even though this time our dinner at Paradise on the water wasn’t as memorable as when I went there with family sometime ago…).

Love going there

I love the place because it’s creative, modern but then that water landscape get so easily out-of-time-context one just finds themselves entranced and captured with their whole fiber of body&mind.

And the sex.

The sex…

That is always stellar over there (we have had fireworks at night in more ways than one, lol ), because for some unknown reason we seem to get embodied with decades of historical debauchery inspiration over there and that translates always in LOT of fun .

So in a few more hours we are stepping back in Dear California… and again it’s gonna be a quick-but-really-filled-up-with-stuff trip.

Basically we go to visit Karim’s family for a super fast shot in San Francisco, with an in-between stay that K&I and Chari and a couple friends will check-in to LA (we will get a Maroon 5 glimpse at Citybank’s gig too, if nothing happens of unexpected) and then back to New York because both Karim and I have business to take care of for a couple more days.

We are happy to oblige to family reunion though; and we are happy to pay back visit as Karim’s family has been visiting us for a while during Milano Fashion Week (which lead to amazing parties – Vogue & the Armani Gala – and lot of fun… I suspect than K’s parents, more than K properly, have also been the generous ones making me realize a childhood dream and have to play tennis with a legendary Roland Garros icon.

But I won’t say a word more on that, beside THANK YOU. ).

During the Cali time we REALLY hope to go watching MY LAKERS /OUR LAKERS/EVERYONE’S LAKERS even if we have to be super quick like last time with my daddy too and fly there in helicopter and then stay in our up zone booth and then leave even before than a blink post game has been cast.

In all that I wish we could stay enough to celebrate Halloween there in the US, which is one of my greatest passions, but I fear we can’t stay that long in New York even if I hope I am wrong and then we end up doing it… because why put limits at my own hopes when life chances can be bigger than those even?

Halloween by the way will be also very interesting because I personally am DYING to know what Adam and Behati and all of Maroon 5 accolites will dress like…

Behati and freaky stuff are seemingly a bond already (no surprises once again her personality matches naturally her man’s… oh boy! They seem just so MADE to be AS ONE… I love that!).

About the ongoing bullshit about irrelevant people being labeled “angels” and instead those who really ARE ANGELS, this year Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show page has updated its section with a WONDERFUL feature called “ANGEL LINE UP” where you can see who the walking ANGELS are (then there will be important models having wings at the show – still not being angels – and then some other models who will get  still some limelight because they date people who are way more important than them, and they use that spot to gain visibility that the show’s producers are happy to give to them to boost ratings… this has always been happening since at least 2005, so no surprises there… but the qualification of “Angel of VS” at least now is once again something one earns through a contract and not just because you sleep with somebody to get some steps up in the ladder of fame Oh, and if you sense some directed ironic sarcasm in the previous note, later on in this post you will understand why it seems that I am hinting at some of Adam’s previous famewhores leeches girlfriends by comparison… which I TOTALLY am, and this is a twist from past you will understand as I said later in this post, because I just have had the NOT pleasure of being submitted to some materials that made me REALLY make up my mind in a very different ways from what I used to regarding said people):

I noticed straight two things: that it was taken in July when she had that little few days away from Adam (one of the rare cases they weren’t together) before reaching him at Lake Taohe (the villa is totally the one where she was working with Russel James and the angels back then), and that she is AWESOME, because her answer to what is seductive for her is sublime (and since by then she and Adam were together since two months, and she is completely smiling in the video, I guess Adam is an EXCELLENT listener for her. Which doesn’t surprise me because Behati is smart and very bright and has lots of things in common with Adam that they can talk with one another for AGES – in between sex I mean – ).

Anyway is not yet time to speak about THE LOVERS (Adam and Behati), nor yet about The Lovers (Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan character pair in American Horror Story, which I will witness as we arrive in Cali I guess if some kind soul is up for recording it for us or if there will be a re-broadcast the day after ).

Before is time to rewind a bit of facts in Maroon 5 world, which keep being JUST AWESOME.

The guys were just starting their tour, and as soon as they departed USA, USA started to treat them like the Kings they are.

One More Night, in fact, has topped any radio format while they have been away, and has stayed now for a total of FOUR WEEKS AS THE REIGNING BILLBOARD HOT 100 SONG.

This is huge, awesome and most notably…

DESERVED.

Maroon 5 deserve all the best for their pure pop perfection which Overexposed is; and I am happy that One More Night got luckier than Payphone because I adore the song and it was so bad Payphone got blocked all its run that to have OMN blocking the worldwide phenomenon which is Gangnam Style for so long was a fair rebound.

I am delighted (no pun intended ).

Not only that…

I mean, I don’t need to read those stuff because I follow them since always and my memory is pretty good (while my taste is purely great, thank you); but Billboard has recently shared the data of the best Pop performances in 20 years and NOT surprisingly, Maroon 5 are in the top crop, while Adam to put it there mildly is JUST the one with the single most appearances in these charts of merit.

The tour is also grossing VERY well, and even though it is certainly not easy to match all schedules together (due to Adam’s side stuff) the guys seem more energized than ever and live they just sound as awesome as always.

They seem very joyous.

This is great to see.

The Awards season is also approaching.

Maroon 5 at the Grammies 2012

I start with the most important thing: GRAMMIES, of course.

Well, just these very hours the shortlist for submission by record companies are being leaked… and although we have yet no confirmation for Maroon 5, we can guess that they will send :

Payphone up for: Record Of the Year; Song Of The Year; Pop Duo/Group; Short Form Video;

They could send One More Night to every category up too, but I hope not because this would split the voters, causing the risk of getting no nominations.

While One More Night is a better song artistically, Payphone is a huger contender for SOTY (where Gotye cannot be nominated) but you can get that up there if you don’t submit it also in the Pop field – or at least it’d be very unlikely.

Sadly Payphone will be an underdog compared to We Are Young and Somebody that I Used To Know… but it’s the third year in a row, the fifth year in Six one that they get nominated and the last time they won was in 2008 so they better get some anyway this year.

They might.

Of course Overexposed will be submitted for Pop Album and Album Of The Year; that’s tricky because the category is always a mess of numbers and critics (stupidly) didn’t praise Overexposed; but the album is selling amazingly and it is producing chart toppers so depending on how Daylight does it might snatch a Pop nod and WHO knows… maybe more (unlikely though).

Anyway, some chances might be in nuce because Maroon 5 have been the FIRST performers announced for the Grammy Nomination Concert in Nashville, December 5.

This is HUGE; and although it doesn’t guarantee a nominee (of course, as you see the submissions aren’t even in, let alone the nominations) it is a good sign the Naras is well oriented towards you (of course, Maroon 5 have been Grammy darlings since their debut on that scene).

Another Award is coming (sooner) though and in this we already know Maroon 5 have been nominated and nominated for the crop of the cake top:

The American Music Awards are back, and our guys are up for all the most important stuff including Artist of The Year:

It’s a great satisfaction for a pop band which has been around for a decade, because pop artists and especially male and even more specifically GROUPS of males rarely enjoy this long span of success.

Maroon5 are truly diverse and what they are achieving deserves recognition and highlights.

Sure.

They have had a wonderful tour routine; their name is finally recognized pretty much everywhere and even if the schedule pack is insane, and it becomes uneasy for instance to manage a classic tour time without breaks (necessary to allow Adam for his side projects) which result in a no easy way to promote properly their album outside from the States (which benefit of the constant exposure of the frontman through said side projects) the balancing seems anyway reached and it seems good enough.

Popularity in USA always generates an overflown of derived credibility abroad anyway, so that they will still be able to be International Superstars for way longer than they probably thought they could have 11 years ago.

In one month they have touched so many Countries and very profitably, too; so that by the time the tour was ending, two days ago, they were exhausted but probably truly satisfied, too.

And indeed the time of coming back home had approached fast… the last leg was in Australia and it was brief, intense and awesome (and with some minor flu going on… guess the messages his body was sending to Adam that he didn’t like were those about getting old and not being as able as before to cope with the intensity of a world wide tour without developing constant little quarreling diseases poor baby )

The Australian dates went on well and smooth despite practically half of the crew (beside Adam, there was Alexander De Leon, and the milk shifter and his mum too) being virtually super sick.

Good things is that from this recording of the gig in Melbourne (I usually don’t upload live performances if not broadcasted but I wanted to get newly ready for the gig on the 19th so this way I have saved the setlist properly, as I don’t think they are gonna change a thing in less than a week ), Adam didn’t seem terribly affected by his flu/whatever he has/had:

Things just keep getting better in Maroon 5 world anyway so I expect fun in CityBank Land of Music, even if my permanence in LA will be just as quick as the gig itself almost…

So by half of the month of September had passed the tour was clearly getting to show on Adam… who surely did miss the perfection of the South American experience when Behati was all along with him, making him the happiest I have ever seen him on any tour (because he suffers touring a lot, since.. always ); he was starting to go silent and enjoying Breaking Bad while Behati was all busy working for Victoria’s secret and NEXT Uk (again… watch this little video out from the traces of those two campaign she was shooting in the second half of September 2012):

He passed from being all talkative and enthusiastic, to barely tweet.

Yes, he was having things to keep him occupied beyond the stage, like the Bench Clothing Company endorsement, which for sure has covered him in money, but still… not even fame and glory sometimes can help with the missing piece in your heart spot

And his only comfort as I said above to fight the soon-came-in nostalgia of his Angel from Africa was starting to watch for hours all the seasons of Breaking Bad – thing that he does always when he’s Bee-less it seems (a genius series whose “hero” is a meth dealer undercover… a really dark and amazing comedrama which is just perfect for somebody who cannot focus on goodness because he’s got his life light stolen and so far away from him ), and then using a couple of unexpected reason for fun…

No matter the great gigs and the praise from journalists everywhere for his stage presence and energy (like in the Philippines, for instance); no matter the perks of being at The Formula 1 Grand Prix (race witnessing that his bandmates enjoyed post their performance, and that he missed… caught up in Skype chats with the other side of the world? you bet ) Adam was just starting to feel the lack of human touch.

You could just tell it by any of his tweets, and even from his face on stage (engaging always, but without the sparkle he has when she is along on tour… and if you care to make the comparison, just try and catch online the gigs which are sans Behati and compare Adam’s entire being with those when she is there instead… it’s a TOTALLY different man from every point of view).

Of course, like we all would do in his shoes, he tried to develop distractions to make time pass faster without thinkin too much at the missing, while Bee was moving from Turks and Caicos (for Victoria’s Secret duties) to California, for shooting NEXT.

Maybe he has also started to create songs in collaboration with people (because we know on tour guys write and record…)?

Adam’s always very active on that front anyway; and in fact, after the collaboration with 50 Cent we have already digressed over in previous posts, and after the supposed other collaboration with Wiz Khalifa which is seemingly just tipped as “bonus Track” on his incoming record, Adam has extracted from his hat another rabbit for us.

Another collaboration, again with a rapper (man, isn’t he fond of that crossing over into hip hop?).

Next gem is gonna be with The Game, and don’t take my words on it…

I’d call it SMART.

This way not only he can prevent some stupid people from bashing his adored girlfriend, but he also disguises the people he REALLY is interested in following (his inner circle) in tons of others which are just slightly more than ants in his world (don’t take it personally… everyone outside of his life of course has less value for him… and this works for ANYONE around, not just him).

So… what is this new policy he has about huge following lists he seems so fond of as of late?

Gotta say this whole thing amuses me because CLEARLY the people are thinking he follows them for real, or that he actually spends hours clicking each time on 2000 per time follow buttons.

Let me clear the poor minds of the people, because I am a geek and I love to do that (I am sure not even a tenth of people will understand a word from now on, but I will try to open their minds anyway).

Yes, I know this way I sound like a pretentious egotistic and presumptuous witch trying to act all superior on everybody…

I love when lessors compliment me though (because I am exactly like that I reckon it and it doesn’t stir me up a single bit ops)…

So… there we go!

This is Missus Z.’s Little Twitter Client & Social Management Lesson.

In the twitter clients world do exist a NUMBER of systems to:

Adam’s perfection in Manila Streets

1) follow many people at once;

2) create separate lists for these (how we can call them… “useful for working purposes”?) amount of people one wants to follow numerically, but of course no one is interested in the talks of (unless someone has no life at all, but that clearly ain’t Adam’s case );

3) give a range of likeability to the people who can be followed in rushes, like you give to the client who does the automatic filling of the list a series of characteristic the potential one to be followed must have (in Adam’s case, it seems something like “relatively new twitter user” “My own follower” “Maroon 5 interested / spoken of or about” “The Voice spectator” and so on).

4) make adjustments to your timelines so that you can include different streams of tweets in separate lines, and all this without making anybody but you know how these different streams are composed and if they are all active, how and when.

5) the strict majority of all these implemented services can also be carried on for limited amounts of time, and they can have further feature like instant unfollowing or even blocking if something happens that you want to forbid (something like “automatically unfollow/block anybody from list X, Y, Z if they send a Direct Message, for instance).

You can add qualities to be included in the “likeability pool for a follow” and the Twitter client does all by itself.

You can timetable the moment when it will start to follow people and you don’t even need to be active on Twitter in those span of times the twitter client works.

These resources are commonly used by hundreds of people online, and daily.

It baffles me that really too few people are actually aware of them.

We live in a society deeply interconnected and ll these resources are at once a weapon and a shield for everybody; a mirror, or a cape, to use or to wear.

Sometimes I feel like people think Adam is kind of dumb; because I cannot really understand why they would think he could spend hours following strangers, even if for “fun”, or why they suppose he would waste even a second of his very filled-up life to do things absolutely un-mattering in his world.

Man is a lot more intelligent than even his fans (?) assume.

When he does things, he does them having a plan in mind and most certainly he has already programmed how to manage the variables about them; maybe he can start from a wrong point or aim at a wrong target, but you are undervaluing him a lot if you assume he does things without a plan.

Note for the dumbest ones around: it’s not like Adam “cheat” on the ones he follows, in the sense he COULD read what they have to say: in fact those people he follows are most assured stored in a proper list that is not visible, but which is part of the way the twitter client sets up your account, and so if one day he wants to see what the random people he follows have to say, he just has to open a window and read; the difference between this reading and, let’s say, check his own mentions is that in this former case he doesn’t read ALWAYS about himself, but he can be able to monitor the real interests and tastes of people that – remember – the twitter client has chosen out of a series of characteristic HE HAS CHOSEN were mattering (but they could also be totally a casually picked series, who knows with him ).

These are all social marketing tools, and you can check them (some of them) just with a basic research online.

And Adam’s right in using them.

I am actually impressed he wised up on his twitter use that way.

But don’t worry, he is not losing sleep or freak out at all when he goes on his “following sprees”.

Oh, by the way… if I crashed the dreams of people thinkin he reads what they say sorry.

Anyway, back to the chronicle of A&B love dating all around the world.

Where were we? Oh, yes… there.

Adam was feeling lonely and she had to make him feel loved instead.

No matter if in the maintime Popdust was making him one of the hottest people and GLAMOUR MAGAZINE (UK edition, as you may guess from the number of irrelevant people outside the spectrum of the Britons ) much similarly couldn’t avoid to reserve him a spot on his 100 lists of the uber sexy men (he’s at 60th place… which is ridicolous, he should at least been in the top 5 ANYWHERE, ANYHOW), Adam couldn’t find solace in his hotness all alone without any way to express said hotness in some kind of pleasant activity “à deux” with his better half.

Anyway, Adam after that tweeted some praise to Gene, maybe just to make him feel better (how caring lol again…).

Adam at some point also retweeted a very beautiful comment by his pal Ricky Gervais and that also shows how loved up he is; but he also deleted it (God knows why ) causing what would happen later even more resonance…

Yes because in all this mess of cryptic tweets at one point, really, my jaw fell on the floor because Adam suddenly tweeted the UNTHINKABLE.

Maybe you don’t get it but ADAM HAD NEVER TWEETED ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY COMPARABLE TO THIS TWEET TO ANYONE… EVER.

He did NEVER, even when others tweeted love tweets at him… he ALWAYS used to NEVER reply with ANYTHING close to that he impromptu did the other week, he used to answer with just cute but somehow disappointing notes (if you were the one sending him love messages, I mean…).

But then he tweeted that something that will ring bells to anyone knowing and loving these things:

That message also was very clear: she was telling Adam that she loves him and no distance will ever break that, because as soon as she could she would be back to him (thing that she CONSTANTLY did and keeps doing, God bless her for being so wonderful to and for him!); the song also hints to the fact no matter how many people will try to bring her down because they are envious that she dates Adam, she is not gonna crack because love is what moves her to him, and love always wins.

We got later on the feeling the two lovers may have reunited soon… because she was ending her Palm Springs job, and seemingly she was neither returning to New York nor passing over to visit Gene (okay, this is a bit ironic… sorry ).

Boys were stuck in Taiwan/Taipei a day longer after their gig there (and James meeting with Nole Djokovic!!!! whooo You come after me Jimmy V., sorry, already done ) but it seemed not affect Adam and the guys the slightest, because then after we understood Behati (and also the girlfriends/wives/families) would have flown almost at the same time they would and head TO JAPAN!!!!

Yes, because Nihon was the blessed place for the Lovers’ reunion (and now you get the title up there, don’t you?;)).

Before Behati flew to him, Adam got again very happy and you could tell all from his tweets… she just is capable of totally making him SHINE and for that, she is the perfect girlfriend for him.

They were apart merely for three weeks, and in his previous relationship (with someone hilariously some people consider “the one that got away”, but she was so totally not, as she never used to use her time, not even her SPARE time, to be with him… she used generally to be fine with him when that wasn’t getting against her career plans or when being with him was BOOSTING her career plans… especially in the end, let’s say by December 2011 – this pic below is taken then -, when the relationship was dead but she was using him and the fact he was in love with her as PR boosting… evidence from this AWFUL picture at the only Lakers Game Anne and Adam attended together past season, the one where they met Kanye West and where HE WAS LOOKING LOVED UP, but she was looking … for paps – how could I be so blind back then to not reckon what was moving that girl towards him? How could I not see straight that she was just so plain using him and using him a lot? Guess I was really wrong about their link, but then, some kind soul sent me the picture below and some unfiltered reports with more pictures and I opened my eyes on her real persona behind the constant acting she was performing back then – better late than ever I guess ) three weeks used to be THE NORMAL TIME OF SEPARATION (EWWWWW), but then back in the Anne era, all was up to be just for the paps so we shouldn’t mind, shall we?:

This is the image of FAKERISM. What a revealing picture… and what a letdown for me, honestly. I used to believe Anne V was at least sincere when she was with Adam through in 2011… but this photo on December 5 2011 speaks more than any of my wrongly directed hopes, as many other pictures of her “behind the scenes” I have been submitted to in these past three weeks do as well. I am glad she never got the ring she wanted and yelled for to get from him, I always was because that pairing had no common ground at all to share, but now I am also for even more reasons, having finally understood that Anne pretty much always was fake to Adam. She was clearly UNWORTHY of Adam’s love, and she awfully used him there only for his fame, to become – barely – known in USA. Karma is a bitch though so no need anymore to even think of her, and I won’t ever again for a single second again in my life (Adam has stopped care about her since way longer, God bless March 2012). PS: Captions are not mine, but I applaud those writing them. They hit the nail of her face and expression PERFECTLY. What a true reveal for me, whom I used to be so positive about this woman. I was clearly wrong in thinking she was nice. CLEARLY WRONG. But ehi, it happens to the best of us, doesn’t it? I pity the next poor man she will capture with lies and acting to reach a broader fame. Because we all know it will happen, but now this has become completely irrelevant in the part of the world and universe I am interested in, so good riddance, and never cross these paths again, thank you.

In the Behati era instead, not only paps and fake PR set ups are NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, but for the Grace of Above the fact the two lovers were away for three weeks, rather than the norm, was a TRAGEDY (they use to be together all time and prior to this month of September 2012, the most Behati and Adam had been apart was for not even 8 days in a row…) so something had to be done to prevent despair and way too impacting nostalgia.

And no matter the fact she was working, Behati managed to squeeze all her schedule (you will see the details here) and cut a span of five days to be spent with the one SHE LOVES (and man, she undoubtedly does), no matter the tricking terrible trip she had to take to realize this meeting and make it real for both.

Adam even practically unattended James’ birthday because he had to spend time with his love; which is way he was so late in complimenting him for his year of life added on (but then James was having Ali along so he had his hands and heart full anyway didn’t he?).

He used his last night with her to take her on top of the world of Jakarta and have a romantic (and after that super sexy I bet) night at the wonderful SKYE complex, which gifts you with the most amazing upper view of the city (Adam loves to watch city lights from upper levels in fact)

It’s not a case if he is always so happy and describes with the best words exactly the stops of the tours where they are together… he did in South America (Brazil especially) and he did again in Japan and he did again right after Jakarta, right after they separated because he had to go to Thailand and she had to get back in USA to work for Victoria’s Secret Big Fashion Show preparations.

He even almost requoted the usual “Shhhhhhh” gesture Behati does adapting it for his first Thai tweet (always remember he is a genius with words)… like he wanted to tell her he was keeping feeling her and her grace all over him still, way after they said bye to one another at the hotel in Jakarta.

Even the newly re-encountered solitude was then treated with a kind of funny spin… and also this type of spirit is something in him Behati’s presence enhances so brightly and continuously.

You don’t see their love displayed by paps through pictures every two steps they take because Behati, unlike some unworthy ones in the past doesn’t call friendly paps to make shots out of her true love (she doesn’t need it, because she is there for the love and not the fame) and she just wants to be with Adam in private, much like Adam has learned on his skin from the past it should actually be always and only, if true feelings are involved and if the link has no other purpose to serve than the happiness of the two sharing the relationship, and not someone’s career impact and growth too.

Their own display of affection haven’t to be public.. and moreover, people should understand a lot of what is “public display of affection” in Hollywood standards and realm is generally borderline adjusted or just plain fake.

One has to be VERY naive to trust anything about relationships which seem to be so right only through the magazines or gossip sites.

More than half of what appears is carefully worked for PR purposes.

Ask anyone who work for the entertainment industry, and you will get a sardonic smile in return.

I tend to trust way more relationships in those amounts when they are not overly publicized or mirrored.

And I sure want and hope Adam and Behati’s one stay this way; the way it has always been… not for strangers eyes to be seen, but only for the two of them and their closest people to be enjoyed and witnessed and most of all PROTECTED.

I hope and fear nothing of artifact-ed and artificial steps into their bond; I am actually NOT HAPPY that Behati shares the Model Management Adam’s ex did; because that Women Agency is ruled by some of the worst famewhores around and Adam shouldn’t endure any of them any longer: he has made them way more important than they should have been and hopefully he has taken notice on how avoid that to be repeated again.

I am sure he has become overly reclusive and protective about himself and Behati also because he knows some of the tenors at Women Management can’t wait to milk him some more.

They have done it for two years after all; but the most beautiful thing about Behati is that she is NOT allowing that and therefore those greedy fuckers have to start to revamp in the dirt like the leeches they are to give some spin to a story that – God bless – is quintessantially private (this story was spun by the worst trash magazine ever, The Examiner - where EVERYONE can post EVERYTHING without checks; so basically all news there are FAKE by default and unchecked – , then reprinted by other news sources and it was about Behati’s mum saying and all those things are obviously FAKE, and only a retarded would believe it… which makes tons of people who have of course… *sigh* It’s really bad when people have the brain of a hamster, but what we can do? Not everyone is smart by default…).

I hate when fake press blasts and involves families; Behati’s parents, much like Adam’s, and their respective families shouldn’t be involved in the fake press fest which seem to surround our poor guys wherever they head to.

Behati’s family is a very religious and peculiar one and nobody shall mess with them; it’s so asinine and horrible to have sent those fake reports to the Examiner and then led other website spin the dirt out of the first fakery shared; I can’t avoid to suspect it was again an evil idea by someone evil from the past, just to spread more hate and fakeness against somebody who doesn’t deserve anything but love and appreciation instead.

But yet I have no proof so I can’t go further down that road of suspects.

I’ll be on alert though, very ready to pinpoint everything that will add some layers of realness to the whole story.

Anyway, what it only matters is that Adam is the happiest person in this moment; he can bask in his lovelife, and he now feels that is a priority for someone; he can also find his sexual healing from his ADHD sympthomes constantly – do not kid, that is a serious point in his relationships and it gets way deeper than you can catch if you have not medical acknowledge of his conditions – without having to get refused or frustrated by the not consideration of his significant other; he can basically feel the finest he could hope for.

And all this is Behati’s merit and gift to him..

I trust the words of my insider friends, who claim he is a different person after Behati has come into his life to save him from a true toxic and evil exploiting he had been submitted to prior than she arrived to take him off his miseries.

Behati is there in the background and she is there up for him to make his life perfect and it’s amazing the way she is committed; and I am sure this has touched Adam like NOTHING HAS before her arrival into his life, because before her, nobody really had ever done this much to be so silently and discreetly with him…

And if you think she gets nothing in return for being this awesome you are at fault… because she has the gift to be loved too by one of the most complex, yet fascinating and inspiring human beings she could ever meet.

Uneasy to handle, maybe (surely), but definitely one of those kind of people you are blessed to meet and cross in your life if they decide to share a bit of their souls with you.

People are NOT all the same.

Some are better and most special than others, and whenever you step into the world of some special people… your reward is BE PART OF THAT MOMENT IN LIFE.

If you understand that, the preciousness of it… then it means you are understanding and enriching your life.

I don’t know how long this relationship between Adam and Behati will last but surely by now I do wish it will a LOT (my wish means nothing of course… what matters is their WILL, and as long as that is maintained, all will be fine) because I think it’s fruitful, and that it is good for both (Behati seems to me very intelligent so since she stays with him and does a lot for him and she is NOT milking him, it must mean she finds in him a lot too, or she wouldn’t stay and she wouldn’t do for him all she is doing, and constantly).

Again and again then… just after this video and all my words about how amazing the combo Behati and Adam is…

I am not saying that Behati and Adam will get married (he is NOT into marriage, so it will take a miracle for him to marry and he will most definitely NOT doing it while he still active in his career, and CERTAINLY not while the one he might eventually propose will have HER career going on) or that they will be family any soon; what I am saying while I cherish the fact they are NOW a couple is that Behati is ALREADY probably the most fitting girlfriend he has had while being famous, and that CERTAINLY she has ALREADY done for Adam way more than his previous ones ever did in all of their times with him.

Because she acts and does like she is up for HIM and not the perks of being with him, and has already spent all of the possible time (and more actually) with him.

This without EVER asking anything in change; without pressuring him for visibility; always being undercover with him, at the maximum level.

I say this always… but I do because it’s always kind of a shock to realize how pure and true she appears to be.

I’m not used to such amazing-ness in and for famous people… so it hits me a lot, and a lot positively, of course.

That is SO stupid.

Many of the greatest relationship ever, those that help shape your personality, those which teach you more about yourself and the LIFE and the world and the ongoing miracle of Sex and Love NEVER are the “final” ones…

It’s limiting and stupid and loser-ish to think that the only “Big” Love has to be the one that will take you to the altar (if it will ever happen).

ESPECIALLY if you are a woman… you should cherish the journey of love and sex discovery, and believe me the less you try to force any of that into a ring, the more satisfying and important in the general scheme of your life that experience will become.

I have personally had HUNDREDS (no kidding, and no intentions to brag, even if I could) of lovers; and some of them were never just sex, even if I never said “I love You” to any of them because I didn’t feel that overpowering Love in me; still, the connection with some of these people has greatly helped me developing the true myself; I have grown a lot in being more ME; the full ME, in an unafraid and unfiltered way and I will forever have a special place for these guys/men in my life.

Without them, I wouldn’t have found the only one I have Loved and I love, my Karim, because I would have had no idea for real of what I really WANTED in a man, and in a life companion (and even when I found K., you know it took a LIFE for me to finally say yes at the whole idea of marriage, and that I did because he cared so much, that in the end that was more important than my no need for it, for the simple reason that I was not opposed to it; I was just uninterested in it, which made my will less important than his need for it… – ok, here I have gone quite Aristotelian, but hopefully you got my flow set up in your understanding anyway).

I wouldn’t have become ME without Them, or at least I wouldn’t have THIS WELL.

Life is a journey and a discovery… and whoever will be blessed to inspire LOVE in Adam shall be happy, because for how many days, months, years that would last, that they could share and inspire love in him, that will be an invaluable life experience for them (this of course assuming these girls and women will be TRUE in their professed connection with him; if they will act and be with him just for fame, then of course the only experience they will collect out of Adam will be the number of articles on them coupled… but these kind of proper whores are not part of my digression examples).

Then the day someone will come along that will inspire him the most, and who will prove him that he has found the love he will be secure of and with the most, I am sure he will abandon his career and start the most beautiful of families, but not before he will feel that time has arrived for him; not before he will feel he has yet to do something with his career; not before the time will come when he won’t feel any regret in stopping his career (because he was born to DO SOMETHING IMPORTANT with his life, something inspiring for others, and he FEELS that in his bones; only creative people can understand how DEEP that need of expression is, and he has it and it wouldn’t be fair for him to overlook that, because if he would, then it would come the time for regret after a while and regrets are something awful to live with, especially when being as sensitive as Adam is).

I have NO DOUBTS that a family of himself will happen because he wants that.

He’s just not hypocrite to play with such an important concept, just because everybody does.

THIS is Adam: remember he didn’t want to have his Bar Mitzvah as a teen Jew because not being fully convinced of the depths of his religion he found trivial and horrible to do it without truly believing in the inmost part of the step, just to receive gifts.

Anyway Adam isn’t the only one who got cake out of the trip to Tokio and Jakarta… because it was a reunion for all the guys with their families and girlfriends.

James also had  his Ali (Tamposi) flying to him for his birthday time and in fact Ali and bee seem to really enjoy each other too (not surprisingly).

Everyone is so happy in Maroon 5 camp and I love to imagine the guys really well coupled because this takes away all the stress of a not so easy life on the road and not only.

Musicians are complicated types… they need love, but not to get frustrated or stressed about it.

Then it helps that when you are in Jakarta for gigs and it happens your lovers are there… you ALSO have as a host for food one of the best chefs in the world (Italian, of course)… that is always a GREAT plus isn’t it?

Adam is easily loved by so many different people by the way… His longlasting friends, famous or not, adore and protect him like Knights… and that’s all that is important for him to have: true people around himself; but to be LOVED BY HIM takes a lot; he’s intense human being… and being him special, it will take a super special person to be able to pair him up.

I have to say I keep saying things about The Man Who Never Lied video basing myself on that picture surfaced of the ciak of it… I HOPE it is true and that Valerie and Adam haven’t actually a small acting for the Daylight video because that would NOT please me.

I want TMWNL as a single; Daylight to me is a little mess as a project, and it doesn’t surprise me that Maroon 5 have had to extend the deadline for submission and extend it internationally… somehow they forget to remember the core fanbase is femalish and not exactly “indie/alternative/creatively” oriented.

Maroon 5 fans are not really that on the edge to be able to produce a lot of such creative material as the one requested for the video (and certainly NOT in such a short time).

But ehi… it’s not the first time they fuck up a video, so in case it happens, we are all prepared (Hands All Over anyone? or Runaway? I can go on and on…).

I want especially Lucky Strike as a single but I sense no way about that.

They’ll waste the best pop gem on the album much like they did with Stutter in Hands All Over… sigh… (by now the crew is almost positive about the insane decision… *sigh again*)

Now it’s time for me to pack stuff again (this post may have come out completely scattered, but again it ain’t easy to write something so filled with bites and then pay actual attention to work and chat in three languages with the rest of the globe. I was in fact dried off ) and after my well deserved time I had post work to cheer my Swifty (these two days in row because then he will miss me for a while) it’s also time to get ready to finally go at Marghe‘s house this evening to enjoy little Eva and be all “Auntie Z.” to my precious granddaughter (in fact we are planning the baptism thing).

I am trying to fast reading this I have written today and check if all links are working as I literally put shoes on (comfortable shoes because we stay in at Marghe’s and these are my fav kind of nights with her: our hubbies will be all talking male-ish and we will just be our maximum level female-ish while glorifying ourselves in little precious Eva ).

When Girlfriend’s Hub talks about sharing our stories and opening up our hearts, we are talking about you.  Is it  hard to imagine that one of these days it might just be you.  What keeps a women captive to the hurts of her past?  What holds a girl back to share the very thing that defines who she is today? I  believe God has this crazy sense of humor.   He hears our prayers and then it’s like he says, “Oh, yeah, I can do that…OH, but wait a second…let me go you one better and add this little side dish in to make you think a little bit about what you are really asking for.”  He’s funny like that.  He is one of those teachers who likes to capitalizes on the “teaching moments” whether we are ready for them or not.

So, once upon a time, the friendship bucket was overflowing.  Life was fun, get-togethers were plentiful and there was a lot of laughter and inside joking going on in The Sisterhood.  Life was a very good place.  It was so good in fact, I decided to plan a dinner.  It started out very simple like, “hey, let’s have dinner.  I miss you guys so much I’ll drive the three hours to visit you all.  How about that great restaurant on the water?  Can’t wait to see you there.”  It could not have been any simpler.  A fun time with friends, good food by the ocean and maybe a great dessert before driving the three hours back.  SIMPLE.

And, then it began to do this crazy thing….it began to fall apart.

I should have known when I said hello and my friend responded with, “Don’t even speak to me until I’ve had at least two drinks” that it was not going to end well.   It was not the way I have ever greeted a friend or spoken to anyone but we go back a lot of years so I decide to move on because that is what we do with old friends.  Right?

I should have had enough sense to run right then….fly, be free…run away, run far, far away….but I ignored the sane voices in my head and I remained.    It wasn’t too long after our meal arrived that the unkindness began again.  The two-drink-minimum friend began to ask questions of me regarding something trivial like dating.  Simple right?  Yeah, simple except that I apparently didn’t answer the questions right because the questions suddenly became more pointed and then they deteriorated into this scary form of verbal combat.  Looking back, I don’t think it mattered how I answered.  I think she just needed a kicking post and I won the lottery.  But the crazy part of it all was, as I sat there under fire,  not one of my friends at that table stood up for me. Not one had my back.  Within a few minutes, I was reduced to tears and I kept hoping one of these friends I’d known for decades would come to my rescue but, sadly, no one moved.   Not one.  I was floored and as it occurred to me that I had not driven three hours to cry at the dinner table, I stood up, said a quick goodbye and took my tears on a walk out of the restaurant and over to my car.  I knew my Red Girl would appreciate me…no matter what.

Yeah, it was ugly…on a lot of fronts that night but the ugly actually turned out to be an eye opener of a gift.  In the middle of that blessing I had not requested, I had this eye opening experience.  It is amazing what will happen when you realize not one friend sitting around the dinner table will stand up for you when you are under fire.  That, for all intents and purposes, you do not matter enough for them to be moved.  Not one friend had my back that night.   I did appreciate the one friend who ran after me into the parking lot but I was shocked that not one so-called friend, friends from decades gone by, friends who I considered family, stood up to say, “leave her alone,” or “friends don’t speak that way,” or, “we did not come here for this.”  This was the teaching moment…the one that hurts but, in the end, is the lesson that changes you.

The rest of the table stood down and remained silent, either enjoying the entertainment factor or else too scared of the two-drink-minimum friend to find their voice.  Perhaps bullies never grow up and grown ups never stop being scared of the bully.   Or, perhaps, they were friends in name only.  All I know is….even though it was a blessing I had not wanted and it was pretty darn ugly all around, it also really needed to happen.  Though I couldn’t see it at the time, through my tears and my shock, this was one of those God moments.  The moments when God says, “Hey, now I know you prayed for a safe night out with your friends and you thanked me for the friends in your life but I think I can go you one better.  Check this out. If we just tweak this night out a little bit, look what happens.  Look who you’re thanking me for.”  And, he smiles because he knows that even though it’s a not quite the blessing you asked for, he is teaching you a monumental lesson that you need to learn for the road he has in store for you.  Eventually, after the tears and shock have passed, you will be grateful and, truly, I am grateful because I think about loyalty now.  I understand more than ever how much loyalty matters.

And, more than that, He taught me that my friendship bucket is not overflowing just because the bucket is full and packed with people.  Quantity will never be equal to quality.  My friendship bucket will only be full when my heart is full and only good friends do that.  They fill your heart and it has nothing to do with a number.  There are some really great people out there and it’s up to each of us to make sure we fill our bucket with friends that help and don’t hurt us.  That has also become my friendship litmus test because loyalty matters and so does the quality and kindness of the friends we allow into our circle.  Today The Sisterhood is different.  It’s full in a way it never has been with friends who matter and who would stand up for me just as quickly as I would stand up for them because those are the friends that make this life worth living.

We all know which of us or our friends are guilty of this. Growing up, my mom always drilled in me how important my girlfriends were. So, I was always trying to avoid this mistake. Now, there is a certain amount of leeway for the “honeymoon phase” but then, yous best be gettin’ your butt back in gear!

In her book, MWF Seeking BFF, Rachel Bertsche says, “Friends can have effects on depression, self-efficacy, self-esteem coping and morale, or a sense of personal control.” I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a “sense of personal control” but the rest of this sounds good.

When you meet a guy, everybody gets it, you are in love–sometimes in the most annoying way. You should start sending thank you notes to your friends after you read this for even putting up with your sappy-ass self during this time anyway.

Thanks for listening to me and putting up with my stories about how amazing _____ is and the funniest thing he said, and the cutest text he sent and the way he looked at me that one time, and then those times I said them again to just reiterate my point of how great he is. And sorry, for all those times I was supposed to be listening when I was really still just listening to myself…in my head, as the picture of him and I ripping each others clothes off was running on a loop over and over again like the Menu Page of a DVD. So weird that while your sex life has been in a lull lately, mine has suddenly become so amazing that I can’t stop talking about it! Don’t worry, you’ll be fine! Love you, me.

This is my go-to spot.  The place I go back to that soothes me and resets the world when the world needs resetting.  If you know me, you know exactly where it is and you have stood on this same sand and stepped through the same tide pools.  I no longer live there but there is a piece of me that somehow never really leaves this beach.

Over the years, things jump out at you.

At inopportune times when you are not expecting it, you hear things, you learn things, you see things.  Sometimes the lessons warm you, teach you, and make you a better person but, there are the other times, when the lesson shows you who you don’t want to be.  These are the lessons that chill you.  After parenting for fifteen years, short by some standards and long by others, there are things you become aware of.  This is one of those sad secrets that has surprised me and it is one I have not been pleased to learn.  It did not better me.  If it did anything, it broke my heart and saddened me for the young girls who have to endure it.

It’s no secret that mothers and daughters fight.   I know you know that.  I know this is not rocket science but there is a secret that lives within the fight.  The part that has shocked me is finding out why mothers and daughters fight.  I don’t believe for a minute that the fighting is inevitable.  I have my two boy brains in my life but I also have my girl and she is my oldest.  This girl also happens to be experiencing the dreaded fifteenth year so, as life goes, we should be smack dab in the thick of the mucky stuff.  We should be mired down in the muck, slinging screams and shoveling insults.  Shouldn’t we?  That is what is supposed to happen, right?

But the thing is, it’s not happening.  She is lovely, she wows me and I am in awe of who she is.

Don’t get me wrong, I am still the bad guy.   And, doubly so as the single parent, I am generally the bad guy 24/7 and I do not shirk away from it.  I will bring down the hammer, I will make the rules and when kiddos begin to imagine themselves living lives as domineering kings and queens, I bring them back to the reality of where they really live.

The secret that moms keep, the one that makes me sad, is that moms fight with their daughters out of resentment and jealousy.  I never knew moms could resent their girls but there are those that do.  Not every mom is this way.  I have some amazing friends who are excellent moms and step clear out of their way to let their girls shine.  I will be very up front and say  the mean moms don’t make it into my permanent circle.  That is not a value I welcome but, for one reason or another, they have been temporary women in my life and they have demonstrated how they actually compete with their daughters, resent their girls.  I see mothers who sabotage their daughters and try to keep them frail and dependent because it helps mom to feel more important.  I see moms who keep their daughters in their own shadows because they cannot let go and give the spotlight over to their girl.  At first I thought I was just imagining things and that what I was seeing was isolated but after the four states that I have lived in with my girl across this country, I have come to the conclusion that I am not imagining this at all.  And, these moms who parent so selfishly, don’t do this to their boys!  Sadly, it’s just a girl thing.

My daughter is already at least three times (maybe ten..just sayin’) the girl I was at her age and that thrills me.  She is smarter than I was (she thinks algebra is fun, I think it is white noise), she is more organized than I ever was and she has a beauty that is so natural…well…I only wish I was as comfortable in my own skin back in high school as she is now.  I would not for one second make her feel bad about her goodness, her achievements and the success on her horizon because I am so proud of her and I want her to shine. I will, however, covet her hair…all the golden corkscrew locks that I adore.  I have, in no uncertain terms, promised her that if they come up with a way to cut her curls off and paste them onto my head, I will do it.  Her hair is brilliant and I still have no idea where it came from.  I tell her almost daily how pretty she is..not because I am trying to stroke her ego but because when I am driving and I look over at her…I am dumbfounded that she is my girl.  She simply wows me and I have to tell her.

Part of being a good mom is building your children up, giving them a strong foundation and strengthening their confidence so that life, when they venture out alone, won’t tear them right back down.  And yet, on a daily basis, I see women who passive-aggressively pick fights with their daughters, insult their girls, keep their daughters in their own shadows and, truly, try to cultivate self doubt and dependence in their girl.  I don’t know exactly why they do this unless they are desperately trying to keep their daughters from eclipsing their own “once upon a time” glory days.  Perhaps it is a way for insecure moms or moms scared of aging to keep their own ego inflated and their position of dominance intact.

I just know I don’t want any part of it.

Our job as moms is to help our girls live lives that will turn out to be better than our own and help them to not repeat our own disasters.  Our job is to amass everything we have learned, the wisdom we have garnered from this life, and to use it to help counsel and guide our girls into choices that are better than the ones we made.  As Maya Angelou says, when we know better, we do better, and those are some strong mom-words that we should all aspire to.  I have not led a perfect life or made perfect choices and there are a few choice moments that, if offered a redo, I’d take it.  But, despite my imperfection, I have offered my girl the lessons from the traumas and dramas that have rolled through my life.

The moment we start to resent our daughters because they are somehow prettier, or smarter or happier than we are or once were, is the very moment we stop being mothers and we deteriorate into divas that care more for ourselves than the children we lovingly brought into this world.  I may never be as great as my girl is but I sure won’t let myself deteriorate into a diva.  I will be the one standing right behind her, in her shadow, making sure she turns into the woman she is meant to one day be…filled with confidence in her own ability and her value in this life.

Once upon a time, when my kids were younger, we were blessed to move to Ohio.  What a wonderful state.  I loved all four years we lived there and I met some of the best cooks of my life.  Women in Ohio cook.  Oh, they cook wonderfully and neighbors like Nadine never had to be asked twice to share a recipe.  Actually, she often didn’t even have to be asked at all.  She just gave.  Ohio was the last time I can remember borrowing a cup of sugar or a few eggs or a pinch of cardamom.   I miss that.  To this day, her recipes are still my go-to recipes.  I would digress right here into how wonderful people like Nadine are, as cooks and friends, but I am pretty lengthy in my writing already so I’ll hush myself.

Trying not to digress, let me just say, in addition to the blessing of good friends in Ohio, we were also fortunate enough to live near the Amish.  I loved being so close to the Amish.  Think what you want and say what you will but I adored them.  I’d move in if they’d let me.  Perhaps it is my quilt envy that draws me to them but, whatever it may be, I traveled their roads as often as I could and even into a few homes to check out quilts.  They never let me stay but were always very kind.  One particularly rainy spring I was fortunate enough to have Emma make me a quilt.  It was too rainy to start her garden so she had extra quilting time.  She wrote me a letter to let me know when it was finished.  I still have the letter.  I wrote her back to tell her when I’d be able to meet her at Litchfield Circle to pick it up.

Today, living in CA, my girl is uncharacteristically sick.  The straight A girl who hasn’t missed school since she was in the eighth grade is a snurgly-snotty-coughing mess.  I talked her into staying home and I’ll say it is the first time I have had to convince one of my children that they are too sick for school.  My boys would have jumped.  I sealed the deal by offering her our Amish Pancakes.  The same pancakes we have made since we found the recipe in Ohio.  I don’t always make homemade, I’m good with the boxed stuff most of the time, but today was not a day for boxed pancake mix.  Today was meant for more… as I work on nursing the girl back to her old self.  It’s a day for resting and giving an extra helping of love in the food.  When I asked her what was the one breakfast food  she wanted, she asked for THE pancakes.  So, today is a day for Amish Pancakes and for giving my girl the very best from our Ohio Amish days.  And, honestly, if I still lived down the road from Nadine, I would have pretended to be out of some eggs or something…just so I could walk across the road and sit in her kitchen for a few minutes and visit.

Here’s the recipe…just in case you have a special day or a sick child who needs a little more…like some good, old fashioned, Ohio Amish kind of devotion.  And, if you’re really lucky, you can walk across the street or next door and pretend like you are out of eggs or sugar or buttermilk…just for an excuse to visit your ‘Nadine’ or make a new friend.

Here’s the recipe ………..it’s not complicated, just good.

1 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 egg

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

2 T butter or margarine

Mix together all ingredients very well.  Pour batter about 1/4 cup at a time into skillet (turned on med-high).  Flip once pancake is completely bubbly on top.  Makes sixteen 4″ pancakes.

What do you consider before giving in to temptation?

Week 4: Like many of you, I had to juggle a busy work and travel schedule along with my personal focus – my diet.  How exhausting!  Over the span of 4 days I had 2 formal dinners, and one buffet dinner and luncheon to attend.  On Thursday with each indulgent bite I would chastise myself, but I quickly caught myself and stopped.  I made the best choices I could given my circumstances, and don’t get me wrong, they weren’t horrible.  As a rule, I left something on my plate, ate my veggies, and only ate dessert if I really wanted it.  Needless to say as I approach the scale this morning, I am already coming up with excuses as to why an increase in my weight is acceptable.  So, here we go.  Week 4 weigh in…drum roll please–158.1 pounds.  That’s a loss of .3 pounds for the week, and a total loss of 5.3 pounds.  I’m in shock! I guess all the walking during the tours took care of those extra calories.

My week in review:

I completed all of my goals except the elusive “eating at regular intervals” goal.

I used Slimkicker.com to help me track calories.  My goal this week was to track calories for 2 days and the Slimkicker application for my iPhone made this so much easier.  What is really awesome about Slimkicker are the challenges.  They help you stay motivated and excited about doing the things we should be doing when we’re making lifestyle changes.  Like no soda for a week, or replace juice with tea .  The challenges start out easy and gradually get harder. As you check in daily you stay accountable.  As you successfully reach your goals and complete challenges you win prizes and reward yourself.  I have only been using Slimkicker for a few days but I will be using it as a tool as I complete my 90 day ViSalus Challenge.

My goals for next week are:

1. Continue drinking 2 Visalus meal replacement shakes for weight loss per day.

2. Continue eating at regular intervals throughout the day.

3. Drink 8 cups of water per day.

4. Track my calories for 4 days this week using Slimkicker. (Two days was easy once I started using Slimkicker so I’m going to double down on this goal.)

5. Walk for an hour. (My first week with an exercise goal.)

Temptation

When facing temptation our rebellious inner child surfaces and reminds us that we are in control and can have what we want without regard to how wise, immoral, or wrong our choice may be.  Being committed to making lifestyle changes, means knowing how to make the best decision for you.  Before giving into temptation and reaching for that brownie, or enjoying an extra glass of wine at dinner, ask yourself:

1. What will happen if I do this (eat the brownie)?

2. What will happen if I don’t do this?

3. Knowing the consequences, do I want this?

If you know the consequences of your actions and accept them– have the brownie.  Don’t beat yourself up, or feel guilty.  Enjoy the pleasure of having what you want when you want it.  I’m sure some will say it’s selfish.  I disagree.  I believe letting go and enjoying what life brings about happiness.  Today the brownie was what you wanted more than anything.  Perhaps tomorrow you’ll decide to have a healthy organic salad.  It’s all about balance.

It’s funny how much difference a text can make.  A text of all things.  Even stranger that I feel this way because I am not a girl who embraces technology all that much.  I like the days of no answering machines when you had to call until you got a voice on the other end of the line.  I like the phones with the holes in the face where your fingers went for dialing.  I prefer talking to people face to face.  But, I have to admit, even though I do not do smartphones or internet on the phone I have, I love the invention of texting.

I got an early text this morning.  It was a good text, a text from girlfriends in Florida who were having breakfast together.  Both of the women are good friends, the kind of friends I call TWANDA friends.  Not all friends are TWANDA friends, mind you,  but they are.  There through thick and thin, divorce and marriage, the good times and the bad.  They are loyal and steadfast.  They were the friends I hated to leave when I moved from Florida to Cali and the sames ones I hated to lose this summer when I left all over again.

This crazy thing happened at my house this summer.  I quit Facebook. Yep, I did it.  The unthinkable.  I  gathered all my strength, held my breath and hit the dreaded deactivate button.  It needed to be done.  Facebook is the giver of many good things but, just like it is with most things,  the bad comes with it as well.  The mean girls, the antics that feel like high school all over again and the political wrangling that can get ugly …they all started creeping out of the virtual walls and Facebook started to feel like an emotional drain.   Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I am too sensitive for Facebook.  It was a long time coming, I should have figured it out a lot earlier than I did but, like Maya says, when you know better, you do better.  So I did my better, winced a bit as I did the thing I did not really want to do and… I quit.

After some pretty earth shattering events in my life (you can read about it in a previous post, Deconstructing a Life), I decided that a life with value and one truly worth living probably wouldn’t be found on the virtual walls of a social network like Facebook.  A life filled with real people would have to be constructed out of, well, ….real people… and, as it turns out I was in luck… my children are very real.  They are 15, 12 and ten and their childhood years are shrinking day by day.  My days with them are limited and my biggest priority is to make those days count and give them childhood memories of a mom who was present.  A mom who was playing board games with them, swimming with them and baking for them….not a mom with her face planted on a fakey Facebook wall.  It was a quality of life issue for us all so I took a big step, deactivated and did my best not to peek back in for a check.

It was hard.  There were people on Facebook that I loved, adored and I truly missed.  I wanted to check in.  I felt alone, like I was losing them and I soooo wanted to make sure they were all okie dokie.  But, I held firm in my resolve to construct a better, more wholesome life that was based in the real world of my non-virtual children and I stood down.  I did not check in.  I did not peek.  Not even an eensy little peek for very good reasons.

And, then this funny thing happened.

Those people that I missed, the ones I really loved and adored and wanted to peek in on…they started to text and call that same week to make sure the kids and I were okay.  I met each text with a smile that was so big it hurt my face because, I understood, the TWANDA friends would always be there to check in and keep the friendship strong…Facebook or NOT. And then, in a text that surprised even me, I discovered that even long distance friends you leave behind in neighborhoods when you move, can stay close…no matter what.

In one of the best texts I have received since texting began, Mrs. M texted to tell me that she and our TWANDA friend, the T-girl (she knows who she is ) were having Panera “with” me and just wanted me to know.  There were in Tampa at Panera Bread, our Panera-Therapy girl place, having coffee and, even though I was in Cali, they took me with them….in spirit.  It’s been five years since I left Florida and they still took me with them.  And, I loved it and I realized TWANDA friends are friends…no matter what, no matter the distance, no matter the technology available.  It didn’t even matter what I was drinking…as long as they remembered to take me along!

I visit FB sometimes these days and I enjoy seeing the pics of good friends and their children growing up.  I used it to wish my daughter congrats on her outstanding report card.  There is goodness there too as long as firm boundaries are set.  Not nearly as much goodness as I have found in the TWANDA Panerapy friends but there is some goodness .  Thank you K and T for being such lovely friends and for taking me to Panera today!  Best drink EVER.

Okay, I have a pet peeve I’m going to share.  This last week the monster reared its ugly head again and although I try hard to be accepting and tolerant, this one is getting to me….so I am sharing with you.

Did I miss the generational memo that some knucklehead sent out that said parenting was supposed to be easy?  There seems to be this sentiment among parents today that parenting was supposed to be fun and easy and comprised of little Ken and Barbie dolls that speak on command, don’t talk back and don’t fill their diapers with the smelly stuff.  Some parents seem to be suffering under the delusion that children were supposed to be another fun night out and they seem downright resentful of the realities of parenting.  I have even started hearing a lot of grown-ups complaining that life with kids is just too tough, not what they signed up for, and a whole lot of other drivel that reeks of self indulgence.

It seems someone in my generation, or the generation shortly after, has started this rumor and there are some of my generational people and generational neighbors who have bought into this delusional way of thinking…hook line and sinker.  Lately this rumor has gained such popularity that parents are actually flocking to web sites to vent their frustrations anonymously as to how their life with children is just such a struggle.  From one parent complaining that she isn’t able to get her manicures with regularity because it interferes with her kids’ activities to another saying she just can’t stand always tending to others anymore.  One mom complained she never knew she’d lose all her free time and sometimes she opens her wine bottle and never closes it back up.  Another complaint stated that parenting is so much harder than it was in past generations?

Really?

Who started this rumor?

Who would be so gullible as to believe such a rumor?

My question for them is …seriously?  Can they be serious?

Our generation has the world at their fingertips, so many advances, that this almost doesn’t warrant the justification of a response.  But…I would be so remiss if I did not point out at least the most obvious.  When you get down to the nitty gritty and admit it, our generation, unless they are trying to be green, doesn’t have to struggle with cloth diapers or even glass bottles.  And, as far as the parent’s complaint that there is so much more competition today to meet the pressure of excessive scheduling, I would say past generations probably had us beat in the backbone department and they also indulged the whims of their children less back then (and I say that as a child who was raised in those “days”).  Back in the “day”, parents also had a handle on the value of using the word “no”.

I have to say as well that from what I have heard and read, most of the complaints have come from parents who live a life with a spouse in the house and who do not have a child with a disability and have never once faced down a deadly disease taking hold of their child.

So, truly, what are you complaining about?

Let me please set the record straight, without any candy coating, and tell you the truth about parenting:

Parenting is hard.  Some days are messy and loud and mushy.  Of course it’s full time.  Of course it’s going to be both dirty and smelly and the little people you had such fun creating are going to be absolutely and decidedly uncivilized.  Multiply that by ten if you have boys but get used to it because that is their job.  The days are going to be long and the house is going to be consistently messy…no matter how many times you clean it up.  Whoever led you to believe that having children was simply a way to allow you to keep up with your trendy neighbors led you wildly astray.  These kids you are creating are little “people” and they did not ask to come into this world.  You chose them.  They are not props.  And, to be clear, I want to make sure I say this as well:  manicures, spa days, nights out, drinking binges, luxury vehicles, Bunco parties and ‘escape the kids’ vacations are not owed to you….they are OPTIONAL and for a lot of hard working parents…they are non-existent.

If you want to know what it’s like to face a real daily challenge in the parenting arena, just holler at me and I will hook you up with parents who face REAL struggles every day with children who have disabilities and diseases.  Not once have I heard these parents complain about their lack of manicures or show resentment for the all nighters they pull with their children.  They are some of the most stand up, knock your socks off parents I have ever met.  They truly wow me.  From the friend of mine who has already lost a spouse to cancer and is still battling cancer with their child… to another friend whose autistic child not only doesn’t sleep but also has daily meltdowns that last several hours long …to yet another friend whose child is nearing the teen years and is non verbal and not potty trained.

Let me be very clear in saying…the following list is compromised of those parents who have earned the right to vent:

• Parents of children with disabilities are the parents who are allowed to vent.
• Parents of children who have pure melt downs (these are NOT tantrums) that last four hours straight are allowed to vent.
• Parents with children that do not sleep at night, because their brains will not settle, are allowed to vent.
• Parents with children whose cognitive levels will never reach their actual age level are allowed to vent.
• Parents with children who have physical disabilities are allowed to vent.
• Single parents are allowed to vent.
• Parents of children who struggle with any kind of disease are allowed to vent.
• Parents with a disease themselves who are raising children
• Parents with a spouse deployed and serving this country

If you involve yourself in this level of parenting then by all means, vent, complain and scream out to the world because you truly face parenting challenges every single day.  The really quirky thing about this pet peeve of mine is that the parents who are “allowed” to vent…they really don’t.  They may seek solace and comfort in a trusted few friends who understand their challenges but I don’t know of one who would sit there and whine and complain about their children.  Not one.  They no doubt see the challenges in their life but the ones I know step right up and they find the smile and the humor, even the humanity of it all, before they let the inner diva start broadcasting.

I would ask the DIVA parents, before they vent anonymously…what is there really to complain about?  If your children are healthy, I am not sure I understand why you need to complain at all.  If your complaint is that you are no longer able to practice self indulgence or live a self centered life, then please put on your big girl panties, or your big boy chonies, and deal with it.  Suck it up if you must because parenting is hard work.  Oh, and by the way, Welcome to life.  Give your children a parent and a role model who is a grown up and who can look past the manicures, the wine and the escape vacations to tend to your children without resentment or complaint.

Sure…we all have rough days….days are long and hard, some are even unbearable,  and that is part of parenting.  Vacations are great and we all need a break on occasion but those vacations are for AFTER everything else is taken care of.  When the children’s needs are met, then by all means, do some taking care of you.  And, next time, before you complain and whine or drink yourself into oblivion, take a look at your blessings.  Look around you at all you have and all you have been given and ask yourself what it is you are complaining about.  If you children are healthy, if you are healthy if you are not living in a war zone, if your spouse is not off fighting a war…then please, take a closer look at just how much you have and how much more difficult your life could be.

Okay…my pet peeve is complete.  Thank you for your patience .

The stupid thing, is that Leah (Leah, the Liar, hehehehe), picks the STUPIDEST people to make lies about!! She will tell ZZ that she and ZZ’s boyfriend are super close, she will tell me that Ree’s in love with her, and she’ll tell both of us how often she hooks up with D-Bag. I mean… Why would you pick people that we are best friends with and/or dating, to lie about? Obviously we are eventually going to ask them whether or not it actually happened, and that will confirm our suspisions! Which is exactly what happened yesterday when I was out with my girlfriends Kiwi and Shelly, who also dislike Leah and find her highly irritating.

After chatting about how Leah’s lies have got far too out of hand, Shelly decided to text D-Bag and ask. His reply was something along the lines of, ‘Ew, wtf? Why would I ever be interested in her?’ – Sort of what we were thinking! He then proceeded to text Leah and say, ‘I heard we hooked up?’ She replied and said that she would never tell lies, she never said that, and when she found out it was her ‘friends’ who told him, she said we were condescending bitches who made things up!!! Well we all had quite the chuckle with that one, that’s for sure! Anyway, Leah didn’t talk to any of us all day today, so I’m guessing she’s finished with us. (Fingers crossed!!)

I honestly thought this year was going to be drama free, and we could all just hangout with who we wanted to and have a good time – but NO WAY!! Not even three weeks into the school year, and I’ve already had my first bitch-fest. I mean, what the hell is wrong with women? I wish someone would tell me, because even us in the wrong don’t know why these things happen! Someone, give me some insight, pretty please! xoxo
