What a productive day I had! My day started off by hanging out with a sweet little girl. I absolutely adore this one year old friend of mine. I so miss that age and am thrilled when her mommy asks me to babysit her. I don’t have any pics to share. I don’t believe in posting photos without permission. So, friends and family, you can definitely relax. Anyhoo, you’ll have to take my word for it. She is really stinkin’ cute.

So, Kenzie requested some big flower hair clips. The obsession began when she asked to put my giant flower pin in her hair and was quite disappointed when she found out it wasn’t a barrette. I pulled out my felt stash and Sizzix die-cut machine and cut out the flowers, stitched some and glued them to clips. I was able to crank out three of them while my sidekick for the day napped. The little Miss was excited. She wants to make both of her teachers a hair clip. Maybe together, we’ll make them pins instead. Although, I think her teachers are cute enough to pull it off in their hair.

I gathered tax stuff for the accountant and headed outside to play with the littles. It was gorgeous today…in the 70s. I even pulled out the flip flops and shorts. Sorry neighbors for the pasty white legs. They haven’t seen the sun in several months and I had to break them out today. We’re still friends, right?

Lastly, I kicked some soap scum butt. I hate cleaning bathrooms…I don’t know many people who do. I will gladly wash a mountain of laundry or a ton of dishes than scrub bathrooms. Well, I found this recipe on Pinterest and was quite skeptical, but I’m telling you it was AMAZING! It’s equal amounts of Dawn dish soap (the blue kind which is what I use regularly in the kitchen) and white vinegar (which I heated up for 1 minute). I used 1/2 cup of each, put it in a spray bottle and shook it up. Warning: it’s vinegar. It stinks. I used my regular cleaners for the floors and toilet so it drowned it out some. Back to the magical cleaner…I sprayed it on, left it on for an hour and then wiped it off with a sponge and warm water. My glass shower was no longer “frosted”. It became crystal clear with little effort. I’m not getting paid to talk about this but hey, Dawn people, if you want to send me a check, I’ll gladly accept it. Ha! So, peeps, give it a shot. It’s cheap and it really works.
