Good evening/ morning/ day!

When I logged on SL today I saw 5 folders in my inventory all from a store called 3636 and I got really confused because I hadn’t even heard of this store before. Turns out, the owner, dianny3636 Aeon, had sent me an IM along with the folders, which I didn’t see because unfortunately my IM’s get capped. She had read my blog and loved it so she’d sent me the folders containing different hairstyles so that if I wanted I could blog them \o/ So here they are! I’m only showing you this one style in this blog, the others you will no doubt see in other blogs in the future. All of dianny’s hairs are statement ones, big bouffants, Lady GaGa style. Definitely for those people who like to be the centre of attention! Not usually my style, when I’m out and about in SL it’s usually more relaxed, comfier looking hair, the ones from Decoy and the long curly one from Shop Seu are the ones glued to my head at the moment.

I just also have to add that I <3 these boots from TOSL, you can buy them at the Footwear Expo \o/ They come in heaps of colours and if I had more lindens I’d buy all of them! lol

5. Should I wear black and white, or black and white, or black and white?

When I first got to Grinnell, getting to know my room mate, Rachel, wasn’t exactly on my mind. I spent all my time on homework and my then-boyfriend. Because of this, I was not the best room mate. We were nice to each other, don’t get me wrong, and we talked sometimes, but I still felt we never really clicked. That’s my fault, I didn’t put the effort into it.

I so often observed the differences in our decor as a metaphor for our (as I perceived, incompatible) personalities. My side of the room is predominantly pink and purple (or “eggplant with pink accents”– that’s for you, Rachel), whereas Rachel’s side is green and blue. Both of us are very neat, but where my side looks a bit more cluttered, as if it were inhabited by a bohemian Holly Golightly, Rachel’s side was streamlined; functional, even. Most of her things were kept in their place in labeled containers. On my bed, I have a stuffed chihuahua with a sparkly pink collar, and Rachel has a soccer ball pillow– the two stuffed objects seemingly facing off. I determined that we had a Mary Kate vs. Ashley complex: Sporty girl vs. ultra girly-girl.

When making these observations, I hardly knew Rachel, I had her pegged as an organized, brainiac type. I did her a HUGE disservice in assuming this about her. This lack of knowledge about her would soon change.

When I broke up with my now-ex boyfriend, I constantly needed the comfort of my room–my fuzzy blankets, my books, my space. Before the breakup, I was rarely ever in the room. I was always with my ex. The library, where I used to study with him, now had flashes of memory associated with it. There were the bookshelves we hid behind once to kiss unseen, the desks we sat at, under which we would hold hands as we did our homework. All of these would-be fond memories were rendered repulsive by the toxic turn the relationship took. I couldn’t go back there, not for a while.

So my room became my haven. Rachel noticed the immediate change, when I began staying in our room constantly, curled up on my chair by the window with my laptop or a book. Oftentimes I would sit in silence with Rachel, both of us diligently doing our work. We began to talk more, and gradually started taking an interest in each other’s lives.

I have learned, since then, that Rachel’s reserve and sometimes-shyness quickly fall away once you talk to her, and she has a surprisingly quick, wry sense of humor that I happen to L-O-V-E. We began to confide in each other, and I learned that Rachel has a wisdom that belies her youthful exterior. She also has a work ethic and determination to succeed that I greatly admire, and seek to emulate. What’s more, Rachel is SO fun to hang out with! I really treasure our relationship.

I knew our relationship had truly changed when I noticed Rachel wearing a pink Grinnell T-shirt. Wait… could it be? Yes, Rachel had borrowed MY shirt, and didn’t feel the need to ask! When I saw her in that shirt, I wanted to run over, give her a huge hug, and tell her that she could borrow ANY of my clothes, anytime. I couldn’t believe we had come so far, to the point when she could feel comfortable enough with me NOT to ask me if she could borrow my clothes.

I write this now as I sit in the hallway outside our room. She has a big math test tomorrow, so we went to bed early. We had each climbed into our beds in the darkness, when I realized that Rachel had thrown her soccer ball pillow onto my bed. I picked up my stuffed chihuahua and threw it over to her, and she laughed and propped it up so it was “watching” me.

As I lay in bed, I hugged the soccer ball pillow to my chest and thought, I am so lucky that Rachel is not only my room mate, but my friend, too.

And even though they’re different, Mary Kate and Ashley are sisters in the end, right?

Hiiii! I think I’ve deprived you long enough without a blog from me! Honestly I wasn’t intending to go so long without blogging. I haven’t been in the right mind frame to blog. The shop is going well, getting few more people cos I got the Midnight Mania now, and my subscribe group has gone up to 58 members \o/ Don’t ask about the club lol

So it’s 4.30am and for some reason I’m in the right mood to blog when i should be in bed. Today I am showing you this outfit that I put together earlier, which includes items from *COCO*, Madsy, Kookie and *~*evie*~*. The main focus of this outfit are the Athena boots from Kookie, which you can buy at the Footwear Expo (prepare for lag). I am absolutely totally in love with them! Evie’s legs look amazingly skinny and long in these shoes.

I added my bag to the outfit for 3 reasons, 1) I made it  2) It matches the colour of the jacket buckles and 3) It adds a bit of glam to the outfit. \o/ This gorgeous dress is from *COCO* and it is one of the group gifts, it comes in 4 different colours, just join the group and buy the gifts on the wall at the store \o/ There’s a few other gifts there too. old ones and kinda new ones. I think I’ve showed you the Madsy jacket, and the necklace was in the last blog too. I discovered the hair in the depths of my hair folder, it’s not one I’d wear out and about but good for blogging.

This is definitely a place for fashionistas in Victoria: as I strolled along the streets of downtown Victoria once again, I stumbled upon frilly lilly on Fort Street. Two words describe the store: too cute. Their official opening day is today but I negotiated my way in yesterday for a “sneak peak.” Yes, I can be quite aggressive but I had to check the store out with its cute pink decor and beautiful black chandelier just calling my name.

Girls, you can do everything in frilly lilly: waxing, mani, pedis, and shop! In this store, you can wax to be anyone: the alaskan, the canadian, the hawaiian, and the forever popular brazilian. Girls can also enjoy fabulous mani-pedis as you lounge upstairs and chat about the newest episode of Gossip Girl. You can shop their cute jewelery and also their own frilly lilly line. Originally from Calgary, frilly lilly was an instant hit as the line was quickly picked up by Fred Segal in Santa Monica, Kitson in LA, and more.

I also met Debra who is the creator of frilly lilly as she first started opening the beauty boutique specializing in waxing, manicures, and pedicures. However, she has also created the frilly lilly line that just smells oh-so-good and feels oh-so-girly. The line is a variety of goodies which includes bathcakes, lotions, body scrubs, bubble baths, and more – almost practically everything you need in a girly bathroom.

I had the opportunity to try the ruby red grapefruit body scrub: just a small squeeze into your palm releases this yummy smell of grapefruit. The end result? I felt nice and I smelled so delicious I kept smelling myself – don’t judge me I bet you have done it before too!

A store with great product would mean nothing if the staff are not friendly. I got to say that everyone was so warm and attentive and it just feels right walking in. Creator Debra and owner of the store Karen treated me with such care and both walked me through the store and the frilly lilly line.

So if you’re looking for a new girly hangout in Victoria – this is it

so, the weekend..

saturday was boring, but on sunday, as i said, i went to this attraction park called tivoli world with maria (my best friend ) and both our families to see my sister dance at this one show. after the show, we had some fun on the rides.

after tivoli world, we all went to mcdonalds! for lunch. i had a cheeseburger, a medium french fries thingy, 3 mcnuggets, a large sprite and a kitkat ice-cream cone. mm.. yum yum.

there was a funny text written on the sprite cup :

i’ve nearly finished twilight. and i realized one thing.

the book is great. it’s the 5th time i read it and i’m still enjoying it just as much, especially the edward-bella relationship at the start-ish.

but catherine hardwicke fucked up everything. she cut out half the main characters’ relationship and she chose the wrong actors, or at least she gave them the wrong roles and characters to play. bella was too dull to be bella. edward was too human and girly to be edward. jacob was too grown-up-looking and well-built to be jacob.

hopefully, the new director has done all they could to fix things up a little. because new moon was a very enjoyable book and i’m going to re-read it this week before going to the cinema to finally watch the movie. and it better not be fucked up. because i want to get it on dvd later, just like i have twilight.

man.. just as i was writing, i got a phone call from my dad who went to drop my sister at flamenco lessons that they had had a car crash, a really bad one. O_O i got shit scared then. he told me they were totally fine, though they really did fuck up the car loads, and they crashed with another car (though i don’t YET know whose fault it was.. though probably my dad’s :S) and the police was there..

hopefully everything turns out fine.. :S

well.. although at least they came out unscathed. thank god for that at least.

Have you ever felt the emptiness without a clock when the phone is dead and you really don’t want to miss your bus? It would have been easy just to raise your tiny arm and look at the watch on your wrist.

Well, I’ve felt that feeling too and I’m gonna do something about. I’ve been looking at Swedish Ebay (tradera) to find something really cheap, but still good, but I can’t even find an expensive one that I like, so that didn’t work out well. So I’ll ask you about it! Do you know a clock that could fit me very well? Something cute, nice and a little bit special. Maybe with a touch of Sandra! I’m not really girly and not manly either, so maybe something unisex?

Thanksgiving again. Who doesn’t love the idea of it? The idea, that is. Up until probably last week we were all excited to see distant relatives again, have a sit down meal and really get to catch up.

However, by now, a weekend of crowded grocery shopping, insane parking lots, nagging family members, traditions to follow, and an insanely large menu to be cooked all within the span of one or two days?

Yeah. I logged on SL too. <3

So! A shopping spree later, and I feel all better! Plastik’s Bael Special Edition skins are absolutely amazing. As you’ve probably seen, I’m always pale as the undriven snow, but these had such an amazing glow and vitality to them that I couldn’t resist, and the makeup options had me agonizing over which to choose for an hour. They come with three different sets of her artfully created elf ears, all matching perfectly, and an interesting set of eyes. The original version had the right eye blacked out on an eye layer, and a white contact for the left, but I’m a sucker for Poetic’s eyes still, so I just shifted the contact to the right and colored it black.

Cause who, cooking thanksgiving dinner, hasn’t decided that running outside is more enjoyable at one point or another?

The new Miel boots gave such a delicate look to the whole ensemble, as well as the airy feeling of the skirt, so I threw on a few dark, rich colors to get the feeling of Thanksgiving in. It really is a lovely time of year, even with the stress!

So, no matter what your family does, or how they irritate you, just remember. There are more shoes in SL to be bought.

ja, es sollte mal gesagt werden, ich bin neben schuhen auch eindeutig ein haarjunky. frauen können meiner meinung nach, nicht genug schuhe, haare oder handtaschen im inventar haben. wäre es doch auch im echten leben so einfach…ein klick und schon hat man die passende farbkombination
