Primeiro que a aluna Geisy Arruda foi hostilizada por usar vestido curto na faculdade.. é sim um absurdo. Agora, absurdo maior ainda é chamarem ela de gostosa e quererem colocá-la na capa da “PLAYBOY” com a Aline Moraes. Fernanda Young que me perdoe mas, nesse caso eu sou mais favorável a ex-BBB’s.

Agora pra melhorar a situação nosso amado senador Suplicy, eu acho ele sensacional, o homem late na Comissão de Constituição e Justiça (CCJ) do Senado, é pai do Suplis, corno e ex-marido da Martaxa ( que continua usando o nome dele, tipo um nome artístico, ái, que linto!). É uma criatura fascinante!

Pois então, ele se ofereceu para acompanhar aluna Geisy da Uniban na volta às aulas. Ele deu palestras na Universidade sexta-feira e a estudante diz ter medo de ser hostilizada novamente.

And a blast from the past…

Last week, Hideki Matsui was the World Series MVP and a halfman nominee.  When we did our story on Matsui we found that nobody had seen what his life looked like, but there were plenty of pictures of the other players wives and girlfriends, they’re not what I’d call ugly.  It got us thinking, what sport has the hottest wives and girlfriends, or WAG’s as they’re called?

We started looking at NBA players wives and girlfriends, because let’s be honest, Mrs. Parker is looking good andMarko Jaric has Adriana Lima.  How Jaric got Lima I have no idea, but if the guy wants to start giving classes on how to get women I’ll be first in line, no matter the cost.  While the top NBA WAG’s are amazing their talent pool doesn’t have as much depth as another sport.

After we looked into NBA WAG’s we turned our attention to the NFL WAG’s and we found out that Jeff Garcia gives men everywhere hope with his lady friend, Carmella Decesare.  The NFL does have Gisele and a few other good looking women to back a claim that they are the best looking WAG’s, but they aren’t the winner here at HMHD.

The distinction of best WAG’s at HMHD goes to soccer or football as they call it everywhere else and it’s a landslide my friends.  I thought soccer was a communist sport, but now I can see why the rest of the world seems to like the sport, the girls.  Every other sport had a top ten WAG’s and ten is nice, but how about a top 100 because that is what we found when we looked at soccer,  the top 100 footballer’s WAG’s.  After seeing these WAG’s I have been working on my soccer ball handling skills and every time I score a goal I’ve been ripping my shirt off.  Since I’ve been training hard, I never lose at FIFA 10 on my PS3, I figure Abigail Clancy will be dumping Peter Crouch for me pretty soon.

Gisele Caroline Bundchen ( born July 20, 1980 in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) is a Brazilian model, occasional film actress and goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program. According to Forbes, she is the highest-paid model in the world and also the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world, with an estimated $150 million fortune.

Family and early life:
Bundchen was born in the Brazilian town of Tres de Maio and grew up in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, to Vania Nonnenmacher, a bank clerk pensioner, and Valdir Bundchen, a university teacher and writer. She has five sisters — Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin Patrícia, Gisele’s junior by five minutes. Bundchen is Roman Catholic and speaks Portuguese as her native language. She also speaks Spanish and English.

“ I was born in Horizontina, a town in the backcountry of (Brazilian) state Rio Grande do Sul. The town was once mainly colonized by Germans. In the school which I attended, learning German was actually obligatory from third grade on. But being out of touch with the language for such a long time, I unfortunately forgot it. [...] I belong to the sixth generation of my family in Brazil. ”

Modeling career:
Originally, Bundchen wanted to be a professional volleyball player and considered playing for the Brazilian team, Sogipa. While in school, Bundchen was so thin that her friends used to call her “Olivia Palito” (Portuguese for Olive Oyl, Popeye’s skinny girlfriend) and “Saracura” (a type of Brazilian shorebird).

In 1993, a then-13-year-old Bundchen joined a modeling course with her sisters Patrícia and Gabriela at her mother’s insistence.The following year, Bundchen went to Sao Paulo on a school excursion to give them an opportunity to walk in a big city. In a shopping mall, while eating at McDonald’s with her friends, Bundchen was discovered by a modeling agency. She was subsequently selected for a national contest, Elite Look of the Year, in which she placed second — Claudia Menezes, from Bahia, took first place. Bundchen placed fourth in the world contest, held in Ibiza, Spain. In 1996, Bundchen moved to New York City usa to begin her modeling career, debuting at Fashion Week.

An American economist named Fred Fuld developed a stock index to measure the profit performance improvement of companies represented by Bundchen compared with the Dow Jones Industrial Average. According to Fuld, the Gisele Bundchen Stock Index was up 15% between May and July 2007, substantially surpassing the Dow Jones Industrial Average which was up just 8.2%.
Charity activities:
Bundchen lends her support and image to a number of charities and humanitarian causes, such as the I am African campaign, in which she painted her face to protest the lack of attention given to Africa’s HIV/AIDS victims. Without receiving payment, Bundchen was, in 2006, the face of American Express Red Card, an initiative launched by U2 front man Bono and Bobby Shriver to send a percentage of monies earned from the financial transactions of this credit card to Africa’s HIV/AIDS victims.

In 2009, she appeared almost simultaneously in more than 20 covers of the international issues of Elle magazines wearing (Product) Red clothing and posing with products from companies who support the same cause. At the Fashion Rio Inverno 2006In 2003, Bundchen designed an exclusive and limited edition of platinum hearts, working with Platinum Guild International and Harper’s Bazaar, crafted by jewelers Gumuchian Fils. These platinum hearts were sold to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which specializes in cancer treatment. She served as the spokesperson and campaign model for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Bundchen already gave a Sao Paulo Fashion Week’s payment check for Zero Hunger (in Portuguese: Fome Zero), a Brazilian-government program introduced by Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva also in 2003.

Bundchen and Grendene, the company that produces and disseminates her line of sandals, also joined the Florestas do Futuro project for the reforestation of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. The project was created by the NGO named SOS Atlantic Forest in 2004. The new forest, named for Gisele Bundchen Sementes, started with 25,500 shoots of 100 different species, enough to revitalize an area of 15 hectares.

On 20 September, 2009, she was designated Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Acting career:
In 2004, Bundchen entered the film industry, playing the bank robbers’ leader, Vanessa, in the 2004 remake Taxi. In 2006, she played a minor character in The Devil Wears Prada.

Personal life and Relationships:
On Thursday, February 26, 2009, Bundchen married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a small Catholic ceremony in Los Angeles ( la ). On April 5, 2009, the couple remarried in Costa Rica with Brady’s son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, present. For the ceremony, Gisele wore a dress and veil designed by famed fashion designer John Galliano. Bundchen’s three dogs were also present at the ceremony. Bundchen and Brady had been dating since late 2006. Before marrying him, she dated actor Leonardo DiCaprio and professional surfer Kelly Slater. On Friday, June 19 2009, People magazine reported that Gisele was pregnant with her first child with husband Tom Brady. The baby is due on December 14, 2009.

Music tribute:
As an homage to Bundchen, Brazilian singer and songwriter Gabriel Guerra, along with musician Pedro Cezar, wrote the song Tributo a Gisele (Tribute to Gisele in English), which is currently the theme of the model’s official website. In January 2008, Bundchen met Gabriel Guerra at Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

Nude photography:
On April 11, 2008, a black-and-white photo of Bundchen, shot by Irving Penn, was auctioned for US$193,000 (£96,000). The picture was one of dozens from the collection of Gert Elfering that were sold at Christie’s International in New York. In all, the auction tallied US$4.27 million and included pictures of Brigitte Bardot, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Carla Bruni. Controversies:
PETA anti-fur target
In 2002, during the taping of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Bundchen was the target of a protest made by four members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals because she was signed to be the new face of Blackglama, a trademark of a fur-farming cooperative. When Bundchen was on stage, four women jumped onto the runway holding posters that read “Gisele: Fur Scum” and included the logo for PETA. Bundchen tried to ignore them while several security guards detained the protesters. Bundchen told CNN that the protest was “unwarranted” because the fashion show featured only faux fur. After the incident, the producers decided to stop the music and redid Bundchen’s segment once the protesters were removed.

Certos fatos contribuem para a teoria conspiratória de que o fim do mundo deve estar próximo mesmo…recentemente o portal Terra publicou uma matéria sobre os 10 sutiãs mais caros da Victoria’s Secret obviamente expostos nos corpos das modelos de salários igualmente mais caros do globo. Os preços variam de 3 a 15 milhões de dólares (este último emoldura, na reportagem, o corpo escultural da brasileira Gisele Bündchen) dependendo da fortuna e disposição das poucas clientes que podem se dar a esse mega extra luxo. A ironia fica por conta desta peça do vestuário feminino ter sido, há algumas décadas, um ícone da resistência feminista. No dia 07 de setembro de 1968, Jordi Ford foi pivô de  um episódio que literalmente nunca ocorreu – a queima de sutiãs em praça pública -  como protesto contra a ditadura da beleza feminina imposta às mulheres da época. 

Jordi recebia o cobiçado prêmio de miss America na cidade de Atlantic City enquanto uma legião de mulheres de vários estados norte-americanos se aglomerava em frente ao teatro bradando lemas de protesto e  empunhando símbolos de feminilidade – cílios postiços, revistas femininas,sapatos de salto alto, detergentes e claro, sutiãs. Os “nefastos” objetos seriam queimados numa lata de lixo improvisada onde se esperava incendiar também o estereótipo “burro-peitudo-feminino” ditado pela sociedade machista. A queima de fato não ocorreu,pois a prefeitura  não autorizou o uso do fogo, mas a força da imagem perpetuou-se por gerações como um ícone dos valores feministas.
Não pretendo desmerecer as inegáveis conquistas das mulheres nas últimas décadas, mas em tempos de mulher-fruta, mulher objeto e tantas outras distorções contemporâneas da feminilidade, não deixa de chamar a atenção fatos como este noticiado pelo Terra,no qual um símbolo de luta das mulheres contra a servidão e o preconceito esteja a serviço do consumismo desenfreado que amplifica as diferenças sociais gritantes desta triste era contemporânea. Apenas para refletirmos.

My friend Helen sent me a letter (yes, a letter!) recently, with a cutout from one of the more recent Victoria’s Secret catalogs. That Lily was modeling.

I’ve seen Chanel in the catalog, Stam deigns to walk the runway show, and for a time Gisele bridged high fashion runway with the VS catalog, but Lily? She’s our Alexander Wang girl, our Burberry girl, Galliano, Givenchy, Lagerfeld and the Fashion’s Night Out girl for chrissake. I know it’s for the paycheck and for the chance to have people other than the fashion crowd and the Downtown kids know her name, but for someone who’s worshiped for her ethereal looks, who needs wings? Besides, isn’t posing in your underwear like this way more fun?

Coincidentally, in the same week of the book’s release, Rio de Janeiro was chosen the host of the 2016 Olympics. Brazilians must be proud.

A dois meses de dar à luz, Gisele Bündchen exibiu seu barrigão em West Village, Nova York. A top estava a caminho de um restaurante.

O jogador de futebol americano Tom Brady, marido da modelo, está em Londres para um jogo de seu time, New England Patriots.

Recentemente, Gisele esclareceu ao site da revista Caras que ainda não sabe o sexo de seu bebê, ao contrário do que foi noticiado.

Who’s healthier: women who stay thin at all costs, even if it means crash dieting or working out obsessively, or women who eat a balanced diet and work out but still have a belly? You know, women like the ones pictured above, who were featured in this month’s Glamour magazine.

I’m gonna go with the second group of women, but apparently some people disagree.

Let me explain. In its September issue, Glamour grabbed a lot of attention for publishing a photo of plus-size model Lizzie Miller practically naked in a story about body confidence. I loved it, and so did a lot of other women.

But there were also critics, who said the magazine was adding to the country’s problem with obesity. In a follow up story in Glamour’s November issue, Genevieve Field quoted a reader named Angie as an example: “Putting a young model who is obviously overweight and living an unhealthy lifestyle in your magazine to make some people feel better only serves to propagate that unhealthy lifestyle. Shame on Glamour for thinking this was sexy!”

Wow, that’s harsh. All I can say is I’ve always thought there’s a huge difference in having a sorta squishy stomach (normal) and being obese (health issue). Maybe these readers are fortunate in that they have model-like body types, or maybe they just believe all women should do whatever it takes to look the way the media and society tells us to look. Either way, they don’t seem to understand that skinny doesn’t necessarily mean healthy and vice versa.

I guess by their standards Crystal Renn, a now plus-size model featured in Field’s Glamour piece, was perfectly healthy when she was an anorexic runway model. I’m sure photos of her taken back then were free of fat and cellulite. And there would be nothing wrong with Amy Lemons, another model in the story, feasting solely on champagne and water on days when she was working, like she said she did before becoming a plus-size model. (For the record, Field reports that any model larger than a size 6 can be considered a plus-size model.)

If that doesn’t convince you, just think about the women you know. I have friends who work out a lot, yet they’re about the same size as some friends who don’t work out at all, even though we all know exercise is critical to our health. Weight is not the only factor that determines our health.

Lizzie Miller’s photo doesn’t prove she’s healthy or unhealthy. All we can tell from the picture is that her body is different than those of the women in the rest of the magazine. We all have our own healthy weights, and it’s about time the fashion and magazine industries realized that.

Yes, I want my magazines to create fantasies, but I’d like them to be somewhat attainable fantasies that make me want to push myself a little harder, not some ideal I could never reach without endangering my health. Please do show a photo of a woman who looks something like I might if I stuck to a more rigid workout schedule and bought a new outfit and lipstick, not an image of a woman I might slightly resemble only if I went on a 30-day fast and had surgery to alter the width of my hips.

For so long, flipping through fashion magazines has been all about seeing women with one body type — long and lean, which is not exactly inspiring to those of us who have to shop in the petites department. I wondered if it was only me who thought that, but then I read that this summer the Anna Wintour of British Vogue wrote a letter to designers complaining her magazine often has to alter photos to make models look larger. She added that sample sizes are so small, magazines now must hire women with “jutting bones and no breasts or hips” to model them.

Field’s Glamour piece promises the magazine really, really plans to continue using models with a “wide range of body types” and to make those so-called large models look as amazing as the smaller models. I believe the magazine’s sincere, but I’m not sure how easy it will be for it to stick to the promise, especially if women out there don’t want to see models in a variety of sizes.

I really don’t understand why they wouldn’t. The critics should understand that no one’s talking about eliminating skinny models from glossy magazine pages or publishing photos that glorify obesity. The simple idea is to show beautiful looks for all of us, to send the message that all hope is not lost if you weren’t born with the same body type as Gisele. More importantly, it could help some women see their body in a new way, improving their self-image and self-esteem. How could there ever be anything unhealthy about that?
