I find the latex gloves really great for spray painting outdoor furniture and other items, since I always get spray paint on my index finger, which usually lasts for at least a week.

My friend Bryan captured this strange image in Shinjuku: it’s store closing, so two men in white gloves have their arms stretched wide as the gate lowers. Why? Are they afraid some desperate shopper will rush in? Or is it simply a performance?

Throughout Tokyo you can experience excessive service that borders on the nonsensical. Today I visited a big box store, and there were four uniformed men helping customers enter the parking lot. How can companies justify this excessive work force? And what could be a more boring job?

Finaly got my two pair of Outdoor Research PRO MOD gloves size small with goretex outer layer. Has just tested them now onces and will test them some more now. Very good timing now when the cold has finaly come.

This is no exception. A long length knitted black glove on the gate post of St Martin’s above Martindale overlooking Howtown.

I love the Martindale valley and always dreamed of getting married at the Old Church in Martindale but guest lists being huge, and the potential inaccessibility for some shelved that idea.

If you’ve never been up there, take the Ullswater Steamer to Howtown and follow the path to the right. Once you reach the kissing gate just as you’ve started to go uphill towards the lake path, follow the left fork away from the lake. It’ll take you to the foot of the small, rounded Hallin Fell to your right and then by road into Martindale. The valley bottom is stunning, there’s rarely anyone about and the path rises slowly to Boredale Hause from where you can easily drop back into Patterdale and back to the Steamers car park.

The Old Church will feature on your route and it’s important to look in. The font is a piece of stone with a slight bowl naturally worn into the top. The church itself is like something out the Little House on the Prairie and it dates back to something like the 12th Century. The pews run down the length of the church as opposed to across it so there are only two pews either side, and there is no ornament. It’s truly beautiful. A place of great peace.

I love this picture because the moss looks like a lush vibrant green moist carpet when actually it was quite dry and coarse.

The sun looks like it’s almost breaking on to to this rural plinth when far from it, it was quite a cold overcast day!

The glove was really nothing special just a classically placed lost garment. I love the way people who find lost things place them in prominent positions where the hunter can easily spot their discarded belongings.

This was particularly groovy because the rural setting provided this makeshift plinth like it was an outdoor exhibition.

Can’t remember where Legburthwaite was but I think it might have been somewhere near Tarn Hows.

We’re into lost glove season again and already there are a few lying around. Annoyed I missed two on the London tube the other day but I was already sticking out a mile – the lost hick from from the styx – and getting out my camera to close up on a glove on the station floor would probably have had me arrested for looking suspicious!

These gloves ended up hurting more than they helped. I took them off after twenty minutes. They offerred virtually no support when lifting weights. There was very little padding. I guess they are okay if you are lifting very light weights like 5 or 10 pounds. Otherwise, stay away from these. I gave them away and ended up using my old worn out gloves which provided a lot more support!!!

I am very unhappy with this product. I used the gloves yesterday for the first time, and noted that palm wasn’t very padded. These are simply gloves, and provide no support for lifting weights.

Also, as I removed the gloves after the first use, I noticed a tear along the seam. I am returning these immediately.

I don’t recommend these gloves.
