I have been eagerly anticipating this package, mainly for the new B’z single. It totally rocks, and the cover design looks even more awesome now that I’ve seen it up close and personal. You can see there’s a card included to redeem a special PEPSI NEX T-shirt, but it’s valid only with a Japanese address =(.

The packaging for Ayu’s new album is pretty nice. As promised, the first press edition includes the DVD in a separate case. I like how they threw in the transparent outer case to house the album and DVD in one elegant package.

This is excellent @_@. I love the hard thick sound of the main riff; it’s really quite simple but very addicting to listen to. Combine that with how skillfully Koshi sings the lyrics and you have a gem. Tak even does a little backing vocals during the bridge :D. His solo is fantastic and one of the best he’s come up with recently.

The psychedelic and stylish PV fits the atmosphere of this song very well. Once again, B’z totally rocks my pants off.

B’z has officially announced their milestone 50th single! Titled GO FOR IT, BABY -Kioku no Sanmyaku-, the release will come in both CD+DVD limited edition and CD only regular edition. The DVD will contain footage of their special one-day live that took place on September 28th, 2011 at SHIBUYA-AX, courtesy of PEPSI NEX.

A preview of GO FOR IT, BABY -Kioku no Sanmyaku- can already be heard on the official website of B’z. I’m totally digging the hard rockin’ sound :). It looks like they are pairing up with PEPSI NEX once again. The commercial, song, and band image all give off a similar feeling to Sayonara Kizu Darake no Hibi yo‘s venture with PEPSI NEX last year.

Fifty singles…only a handful of Japanese artists can say they have that many under their belt. Anyone familiar with the music industry knows how hard it is to have the longevity for it. To still be popular by then is even harder.

B’z makes it look easy though. Since their modest debut in 1988 they’ve become the most critically acclaimed rock band in not just Japan, but all of Asia. This fact cannot be disputed when looking at their staggering numbers. With a reported 80 million in total record sales, they are by far the best-selling Japanese artist of all time.
