Pemasang iklan “Go to Hell Pemfitnah SBY” dinilai hanya menjilat dan mencari muka. Pemasang juga dinilai berharap ’sesuatu’ dari Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

“Kalau itu ada yang menganggap bahan tertawaan, ada yang menganggap serius. Saya menduga ini orang yang menjilat, cari muka,” ujar pakar komunikasi dari Universitas Indonesia (UI) Ade Armando ketika berbincang, Sabtu (29/11).

Dilihat dari iklannya yang hanya satu kolom, Ade mengatakan iklan itu tidak akan berpengaruh apa pun karena sekarang bukan masa kampanye. Ade juga menilai orang itu hanya ingin diketahui eksistensinya sebagai pembela SBY dengan memasang iklan. Ada ‘imbalan’ yang diharapkannya.

“Saya duga tujuannya membuat orang tahu bahwa dia pembela SBY. Barangkali berharap mendapatkan sesuatu dari dukungannya. Kalau dia pengusaha, ingin terlihat berperan dalam membela SBY. Harapannya dapat konsesi macam-macam, yang bernilai ekonomi,” imbuh mantan anggota Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI) itu.

Dari segi bahasa, kata ‘go to hell’ sendiri untuk iklan tidak terlalu vulgar. Mengingat Presiden Soekarno pernah menggunakan kata ‘go to hell’ ini sebagai reaksi penolakannya atas bantuan dari luar negeri, ‘Go to hell with your aid’. Namun demikian, pemasang iklan itu dinilai tidak berwibawa.

“Makin menunjukkan bahwa betapa tidak berartinya pembelaan dia ini. Kayak buang uang saja (pasang iklan). Saya yakin kelompok inner circle-nya SBY tidak akan menganggap ini serius. Pos Kota juga tidak ingin terlihat seperti media propagandanya SBY,” tandas Ade.

Sebelumnya diberitakan, iklan yang memberikan dukungan kepada Presiden SBY muncul di Harian Pos Kota terbitan Sabtu 28 November 2009. Iklan tersebut mengecam pembuat fitnah terhadap SBY. Namun tidak dijelaskan fitnah apa yang dimaksud.

Iklan itu memang tidak dibuat dalam skala besar, namun kecil saja. Tepatnya seukuran 1 kolom. Iklan hitam putih itu terpampang pada kolom paling kiri halaman 3A. Pemasang adalah PT Asiamaju Selaras yang beralamat di Wisma PEDE, Jl MT Haryono, Kavling 17, Jakarta.

Iklan tersebut bergambar separuh badan SBY yang mengenakan jas dan berpeci. Dalam iklan itu tertera tulisan ‘SBY Harapan Baru’. Pada bagian bawah tulisan itu tertulis kalimat ‘Semoga Sumber Fitnah di Bumi ini Go To Hell, Amin.’

Harian Pos Kota mengaku hanya akan menerbitkan iklan itu satu hari saja, hari Sabtu kemarin dan akan mengevaluasi materi iklannya. “Itu murni iklan. Dan kita tetap independen,” tegas Pimpinan Redaksi Pos Kota, Gunawan Eko Prabowo

NO ha ido mal la cosa, no señor (lo que pasa es que para el Barça tampoco ha ido mal…aggggss…..!!!), pero eso, ya lo vemos luego.

Ahora y siguiendo con la noche que es, jejejejejejejejeje, nuevamente mi tronquete, Mister Alice Cooper, con este tema que da título a su segundo album ya fuera de lo que fué su primera época y con su antiguo grupo. Este es el L.P. siguiente a “Welcome to my nightmare” (el título que uso para mi blog y para mi, el mejor de todos sus albums), el título de la canción practicamente lo dice todo, “Go to hell (vete al infierno)”, un tema completamente rockero, duro, cañero pero al mismo tiempo muy bien estructurado, muy compacto y en el consigue montar un ambiente de lo mas tétrico.

Que mejor para una noche como esta, ¿no?.

i have known this woman for most of my adult life. she’s been a friend, a mentor, a compassionate and sometimes “what the fuck are you doing” ear. like me, she doesn’t know how to swim, but man-o-man can we float! she wasn’t upset when i didn’t invite her to our city hall wedding; hers was a similar wedding, which was planned on a monday with the deal done on a friday. physically, we are complete opposites! she’s nearly 6′ and i’m 5′5″. her short, blond, punky (with help) hair has always been that way, while my long (down to my ass) dark brunette hair would remind you of keri russell’s prior to “the cut of the century.” she doesn’t give a shit about politics and i am, well, the crazy conservative cougar who’s never missed a vote.

4^th September 2009, 23:40 hrs. I don’t know what to write and how to start. Today something happened, something that was waiting to happen, sitting there in the closet and waiting to be taken out. It was due since a long time.

                                Most of you are familiar with misadventures of my love life (those who are not can refer to the article Love Actually on the same blog, even if you are not dont worry read along.). Tonight it came a climax. Communication revolution has changed the world, and has resulted in more efficient networking among humans. It was due to this that without much effort I finally got HER number. Getting her number was never a tough task as we are from same school and same college so lots of overlapping friend groups is there. Anyways she was now in a new phase of her life, and so am I. Away from home, working for an ‘IT’ company.

                I got her number and decided to call her on Friday evening. I was planning this for the whole week. I consulted friends and made notes on what to talk and how to talk. I knew all this would not matter much, for when I will hear her voice I will lose hold of things and when she knows I am calling she will certainly not like it. After a long hiatus of more than 1 year I was calling her, even the last time I called her was not a very successful outing. I should’ve known this earlier that this will do nothing and it can’t get worse than this. Actually deep inside somewhere in the deepest fathom of my consciousness I knew it will never work out.  But love is the most unbelievable thing of all. When you are in love you are not ready to accept the most rational thing if it disagrees with your belief.  I knew calling her wont help in any ways but some part of me, a larger part was pushing me to do it. The excuse that I was giving myself to call her was to know the reason for why she hates me, the way she does. To know the reason for sudden dissolution of our relationship (?) I was backing myself to call her. I knew it was a lost cause but I was not ready to accept it. It’s like a cricket match where you know India is going to lose the match but you still watch it till the end just in case a miracle happens.

                                                                                                                So, after all the preparations when I came back from the office on Friday, I took a pillow and a mat to the terrace and called her. There was an unidentifiable fear harped in my mind although I knew she hates me and now no power in this world can get us together and this is the worst situation and nothing worse can happen.

                                                                                                                                “Hello” she picked up. I noticed her voice was not as soft as it used to be, gaiety was lost. Working as a professional maybe brought about this change. I wanted to tell her this but more important things waited. “Hi, is this K?” I conformed. “Yes. May I know who is calling?” she asked in the same cold manner. These were the same words what she spoke when I made the first call to her in school. It almost felt like I was committing a crime, firstly I was calling on her landline number (school children in those days didn’t carry cell phones) and also because I was afraid if it will be accepted at her place or not. I didn’t know if it was alright with her parents. I still remember the number of her land line phone.(oh God…). Very frightened I asked on the phone “may I talk to K?” and she answered with the same question that she was asking today. Only the melody in her voice was gone, it seemed corroded. I wonder if she is having a throat infection.

                                                                                                “It is Rohan” I answered.  I anticipated an angry response, but there was just a sigh. It was like she was saying to herself that oh God not again. “How are you?” I asked. “Fine” it was the regular answer. “So what’s happening?” I asked to bring in the friendly air which we shared a long time back, but now it was just a faint memory, fainter for her.  “Kuch nahi. I was just talking at my home, I will talk to you later.” She said and disconnected without hearing anything.

                I knew (I am an idiot) that something of this sort will happen. It had happened in the past when she had replied similarly to avoid me. (man I cannot write…………Hmmm) . But after such response of hers I had never called her back. This time I consulted  a very good friend of mine, Pavan. He told me call her again after 10 minutes and if there is similar response then she is not worth it.

                                                                                                                                I waited and called her after 15 minutes. “Hey..” I tried to start the talk but before I could continue, she started, this time in harder tone “tumko ek baar me samajh nahi aata. Why are you insisting on talking to me? I am not interested in talking to you. Dubara mujhe phone mat karna.” It seemed she had prepared it in advance. She was assailing me. “Just once?” I asked. “No not even once. Don’t you understand I don’t want to talk to you.” My appeal was rejected. I was such a shame. How could I stand this, I didn’t have any self respect for that moment of time. “Please” I pleaded. “GO TO HELL” she said before disconnecting.

                                                                                                                                                I was lying on the terrace of my penthouse flat in Bangalore watching the clouds pass by and stars peeking out of gaps between the barrages of clouds. It took me sometime to take in what had happened. I am still coming to terms at it as I write this. I am emotionally numb. I can’t feel a thing. I was nothing unexpected but still I was shocked. I couldn’t say whatever I intended, instead I was pleading, like a beggar. She had said what she wanted but I couldn’t.

                                The best memories of her I have are from our school time. We were in class 12^th and our classes were officially over. We were asked to come to school any day we want for getting the no dues certificate signed and  taking the hall ticket for board exams. Coincidently (!!!) we both came on the same day and nobody else in the whole class came. It was the best day I had till then. We went around the whole school getting the no dues certificates signed from every department. I was like being on a date. There was nobody in the class and we stayed back for the whole time, 8 to 1.

                                                                                                                                                After the mysterious break in our relationship some things were due for both of us. She was filled up with anger and hatred and I wanted to know the reasons for such behavior of hers. She had now cleared her dues but mine still remained. By writing this I am getting things out of my mind, maybe this is my way to clear my dues.

                                                                                                                The most shocking thing for me was to find out the extent up to which she hates me. I am still not able to believe it. I used to think that she doesn’t like me anymore but now I understand she just loathes me. I never thought anybody hates me this much. I am astonished how she hated me this much and why I loved her. I see no point but there is no point in love. I couldn’t say a word to her in retaliation.

                                                                                I was aware of status quo but I never accepted it. This was the thing that stamped it. It brought the truth and planted right into my face and it was just. It was right. I had to be punished for being such an idiot, for knowing the reality and not accepting it.

                                                                                                                                                                Whatever happened happened for good. It was necessary for me. I was having a fixation. I knew it was going nowhere, but I had her on my mind all the time. I was fast getting obsessed. It had to finish. If this wouldn’t have happened I wouldn’t have realized and accepted the fact. Now it is done. I wish to seal it in a locker and through it into the deepest abyss of the farthest sea. In the end it has made me realize  I was being such a jerk. With her out of my mind maybe I will be better off.

                                                                                                It had surely ended a long time ago but I was living in shadows of memories. After this edification maybe the clouds of obsession in my mind will clear off. I remember that when I was young and something which I didn’t wanted happened my mother said whatever happens, happens for good. So let’s hope she is right.

You know Anointed Vessel readers  I have told you all more than once that I am an equal opportunity offender.  I am not Democrat,  Liberal,  or Republican.   I am a  Born Again,  Servant of the Most High God, and it is my relationship with God that comes before politics.   Now I must say,  it is not hard to see (by my previous posts), that I am not happy with the current administrations race toward nowhere fast, and I was not pleased with the Bush dynasty either.  However;  let this be made very clear…As a Christian, I follow the rules of the Bible, and it is very clear we are to submit to those that have rule over us,  pray for those in leadership,  and obey the laws of the land.  Nowhere in the Bible did I see where we are to wish death,  and destruction to our leadership,  I live in America, and I do not wish harm to my leaders.  I pray that they walk in the wisdom of God so that I may continue to be blessed and enjoy the freedom and comfort that I do now.   Unfortunately,  there are some that  have decided to turn their tongues against our leaders and wish *death upon them,  in doing so,  they have severely sidestepped the principles of our faith as set forth in the Bible, and have endangered their very lives by incurring God’s wrath on them for such  a foolish act.   Such a shameful example of this is Pastor Steven Anderson in the following video.      *(Hell=eternal death),  “I am not going to pray for his good. For the past eight years, liberals have ridiculed and maligned America’s president. Now, many who call themselves conservative are eager to dish some of that punishment back.

That would be a mistake. It wasn’t right before—it wouldn’t be right now.

Perhaps it seems un-American to make such a statement. One of this nation’s founding principles was that people should be critical of the government. The ability to disparage the authorities is viewed as a benchmark of a nation’s freedom.

Did you ever look the subject up in the Bible? Does God encourage us to disparage the government under which we live?

No—in fact, God demands that every American citizen respect the office of our new president, Barack Hussein Obama.

“You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people” (Exodus 22:28, Revised Standard Version). Why would God link reviling Him—that is, esteeming Him lightly, making jokes about Him or treating Him with dishonor—with cursing a “ruler,” or public official? Because cursing government officials reflects derision toward government and authority in general—and that can certainly infect our attitude toward God, the ultimate authority. For evidence, we only need consider how our society resounds with reviling and cursing of both the government and God.

The command in Ecclesiastes 10:20 goes even further: “Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber ….” So God is concerned not only with what comes out of our mouths, but also what goes on in our minds, regarding our rulers. (See also Job 34:18.)

Cursing rulers, speaking ill of the government, even disparaging rich business leaders—these are hallmarks of American democracy. Our media are filled with buffoonish caricatures, smart-alecky skits and crass jokes, all relished as signs of healthy public discussion about our leaders. On top of that, any mistake the president or other public official makes, the press and public attack with piranha-like ferocity.

The biblical view regarding proper treatment of governing officials is founded on the truth contained in Romans 13:1: “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Accomplishing His will through a variety of physical means, God ordains people into worldly offices. All power comes from Him. (See also Daniel 4:17.)

The passage in Romans 13 shows that God judges those who resist the leader He has installed (verse 2). A Bible-believer’s duty, then, is to submit to authorities and respect their physical offices. It is a form of submitting to and respecting God Himself. One who follows the Bible should be a model citizen. (If a human command conflicts with God’s law, however, we must obey God—and then submit to the punishment; Acts 5:29.)

In 1964, reflecting on the events surrounding John F. Kennedy’s recent assassination, Herbert W. Armstrong wrote, “God’s Word teaches us to have respect for authority. There can be no power, except as God allows. The Bible does not teach that this world’s governments are righteous, or representing God. But, so long as God allows them to wield an authority He established—even though they wield it contrary to His laws—to disrespect the government is to disrespect God.”

Yes, politicians can abuse their authority, enact misguided policy, and serve themselves or some evil purpose. Still, the office is ordained of God! Thus, we should honor that office. Though God despises abuses and corruption in leaders, it is He who will judge those leaders, not you or me.

It is true that godly men and women throughout history have had to criticize governing officials, to tell them their sins—even on commission from God. But even that, to be in keeping with the divine law, should be done with respect for the office. In the Trumpet, you will certainly read criticism of the government’s policies, but we endeavor never to take cheap shots or show personal disrespect for those filling those governing posts. You will never see demeaning caricatures in our publications.

Instead of undignified comments, here is what the Apostle Paul said we should say of our leaders: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

Of course, that doesn’t say we are to pray for President Obama’s success in enacting policies that are contrary to God’s law. It says we are to pray for him that we may live a quiet and peaceable life.

Joseph Farah, in an article this week called “Pray Obama Fails,” called this approach “soft-minded” and “misguided.” “I do not hesitate today in calling on godly Americans to pray that Barack Hussein Obama fail in his efforts to change our country from one anchored on self-governance and constitutional republicanism to one based on the raw and unlimited power of the central state,” he wrote. “I want Obama to fail because his agenda is 100 percent at odds with God’s. Pretending it is not simply makes a mockery of God’s straightforward commandments.”

Will God answer those prayers? If God intended to protect America from the damaging policies of which Farah speaks, wouldn’t it have been easier for God to prevent Mr. Obama from winning the presidency in the first place? An honest look at what is happening in and to this country—economically, militarily, morally, socially, spiritually—shows that we are suffering curses for our sins. Frankly, those curses are bound to intensify under an administration with more respect for its own self-made ideals than for the authority of Scripture. We should have no illusions about that—and you should expect to read plenty about those curses on this website in the time ahead.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that 1 Timothy 2 tells us to offer prayers and thanks for—not against—all those in authority, and it doesn’t contain the provision, “as long as their agenda matches God’s.”

What is God trying to teach us by telling us to respect the office and submit to and pray for our president and whoever else rules over us?

1 Peter 2:13 tells us to “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake.” For whose sake? The Lord’s.

Why? So we learn to submit to government. It will be much easier to submit to a loving God if we learn to submit to a hard boss. We all must learn the lesson of submitting to government even if it is not being applied correctly.

Look at Christ’s example. He put Himself totally in His Father’s hands, knowing God was in control of everything. When He came before Pilate, He didn’t revile—He submitted Himself to that authority. If we can learn this lesson of submitting to whomever God puts over us in this world, it will tremendously help us in our relationship with our heavenly Father. It will, in fact, prepare us for the Kingdom of God. •
