If you like to research web apps, one of the original directories of Web 20 apps just got a whole lot better. Go2Web20 just launched a major redesign in beta. It is an information aggregator for Websites and apps, collecting data from as many open sources as possible, akin to what you find at Quarkbase and the more recently launched Dataopedia.

Except that GoWeb20 is much more social. It is linked to the Go2Web20 blog written by co-founder Orli Yakuel (the other founder is Eyal Shahar), and it is integrated with Google Friend Connect. So you can sign in with your Google password and leave comments and rate any app. Go2Web already has a strong community among developers and startups thanks to Yakuel’s blog, and the directory fits nicely with that effort.

The new Go2Web20 presents logos of Websites and applications in an easy-to-read grid. Mouse over any logo for a brief description, or filter by category or tag. (For instance, here are Twitter apps and mobile apps). Once you click through to a profile page (here is one for Boxee), you can read a brief description of the app, see a screenshot, a list of blog mentions, Twitter mentions, Youtube videos about that app, as well as data from our own Crunchbase. Buttons on the side make it easy to share any app profile on Twitter, FreindFeed, Facebook, Delicious, Stumbleupon, or Google Bookmarks.

As members add ratings, the best apps should filter to the front page. Check it out and tell Orli what you think.

Questo è il mio primo post sul web 2.0. Le applicazioni internet che corrispondono a questi canoni sono veramente tante ed in continuo aumento. Fortunatamente esistono siti specifici che si occupano costantemente di informare l’utente delle novità, rendendone così più agevole la fruizione.

Il più famoso è senza dubbio Go2Web20.net, grazie al quale mi sono affacciato per la prima volta a questa nuova realtà, avendo così la possibilità di conoscere alcune applicazioni che vi segnalerò nei prossimi post.

Meno noto, meno “pachidermico”, ma senza dubbio di più facile fruizione è Ziipa.com, la cui “filosofia” è simile al già citato Go2Web20.net.

Segnalo pure Listio e  Feedmyapp, quest’ultimo presenta anche una directory di applicazioni web 2.0 solo in italiano.

Web 2.0 Directory : eConsultant, come dice il nome, è strutturato in directories, la consultazione è  immediata, quindi più adatta a chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questa realtà, sebbene i siti indicizzati non siano poi così tanti, rendendo perciò di fatto necessario, dopo le prime volte, rivolgersi agli altri siti citati poco sopra.

Une découverte très sympa et … vertigineuse : Go2Web2.0, un site qui recense les applications du web 2.0.

Go2Web2.0 existe déjà depuis un petit moment, mais il n’est jamais trop tard pour se mettre à la page, surtout pour découvrir un site que l’on n’a pas fini d’explorer.

Sorte d’immense annuaire du Web 2.0, vous pouvez faire des recherches par mots clés via les tags, ou vous laissez déambuler parmi les logos affichés.

Pour chacun, un petit descriptif (en anglais) apparait en bas de page quand vous cliquez.

Go2Web2.0 est très à jour puisqu’apparaissent déjà les derniers arrivés sur la toile, le moteur de recherche Cuil, et l’encyclopédie collaborative lancée par Google, Knol.

Alors si vous avez du mal à comprendre ce qu’est le web 2.0, un petit tour sur Go2Web s’impose.

Istilah web 2.0 konon dicetuskan pertama kali oleh Tim O’Reilly. Nama terakhir ini konon juga bukan nama asing di jagat media internet (sebagai pendiri O’Reilly Media). Lebih dari setahun silam, ia pernah menganjurkan apa yang disebut sebagai Blog Code of Conduct. Tim O’Reily ini bukan, bukan, bukan Gavin O’Reilly. Nama paling terakhir tadi, itulah Group Chief Operating Officer perusahaan yang kini ikut “memayungi” harian umum Republika. Memang sih, sama-sama orang Irlandia. Waduh, *lost focus* gak ya…

Singkat kata, web 2.0 mencakup kata-kata manis seperti: partisipatif, interaktif, kolaboratif, kreatif, aplikatif. Web 2.0 membuat pengguna internet punya banyak pilihan lain selain bengong (maksudnya, membengongi bacaan di website secara satu arah seperti jaman jadul).

Nah, layanan web 2.0 apa saja yang melimpahi jagat maya, GO2WEB20.NET (butuh Flash player) dan Listio.com bisa dijadikan referensi awal.

Go2Web20 es una de las referencias principales a la hora de buscar un poco de inspiración 2.0 o simplemente buscar una aplicación que nos solucione algún problema o nos entretenga un rato. Lo más destacable de este directorio es sin duda sus casi 2000 registros. Otros aspecto que me gusta mucho es la utilización del mosaico de logotipos como forma principal de navegación. También dispone de un buscador y un sistema de categorización por “tags” que para algunos puede resultar demasiado osado (pregunta para el 2008: ¿irán calando las “tags” como mecanismo de navegación?).

Si queréis tener además un punto de vista un poco más subjetivo y analítico de algunas de las aplicaciones os recomiendo que visitéis el blog de Orli Yakuel una de las editoras del directorio.

Semanas atrás os presentaba otro directorio que os puede servir de alternativa: FEEDMYAPP.
