La mia previsione si è dimostrata azzeccata.
Il “test di accostamento colori” è stato totalmente sbalinato (anzi, chissà se da qualche parte ho ancora il foglietto con la prova).

Però, però, però… alla fine devo dire che il risultato è venuto quasi meglio dell’idea originale.
Una lieve correzione con un filtro azzurrognolo e dovrebbe uscirne una mimetica invernale di tutto rispetto.
Trovo coomunque piuttosto straniante che il giallo sabbia, una volta stratificato e accostato ai grigi sia diventato quasi un verde khaki.

Ora inizia la parte che preferisco: l’invecchiamento.

a dx: filtro, lavatura e ruggine

Le colature di ruggine mi soddisfano. Gli effetti ottenuti con i colori ad olio e il terribile “odourless mineral spirit” sono piuttosto interessanti sopra il filtro satinato.

Non sono ancora soddisfatto al 100% delle scrostature (quasi invisibili qui), ma per essere una prova da dieci minuti, non è affatto male.
La lavatura di nero invece mi pare adeguata.
Forse un attimo sovradimensionata, ma “futtenne”, mi piace così.

e via con il primo giro di lavature

C’è da dire che per quanto d’effetto siano le lavature con i colori ad olio, è altrettanto vero che si rischia la morte ogni volta.
Non sarà infiammabile e volatile come l’essenza di trementina, ma il medium di sta roba è  inodore quanto lo è il mio judoji dopo una settimana che se ne sta chiuso in borsa.
Credo che solo il diluente per gli smalti metallici della Mr.Color sia più fetente della “odourless tupertine”.

Il quesito diventa quindi: morire di polmonite con la finestra spalancata a novembre o asfissiato dai vapori di pura nequizia?

So, I think my goblin tendencies are beginning to return now that I’ve been on BDF for a while.  The process of regemming, leveling enchanting, and generally operating has taken it’s toll on Tahas’ cash reserves.  I’ve begun to try my hand at how I made money before… and the results are inconclusive.  There are some very strange tendencies that I’ve noticed in BDF’s market.

First:  The cost of some of the enchant scrolls are well below what the mat cost is.  I did the math.  Unless they’re farming all the mats themselves, there’s no way that they’re making money.  While that’s probable… I didn’t do that so I could power level enchanting to get my ring enchants.  So… I have to sell them at a specific amount or take a loss.  Oh well, I guess.  As long as I can recoup some of that cash, it’s fine by me.

Second:  Whatever moron thought it was a good idea to sell Infinite Dust by the singles… I’m going to ruin his day.  Seriously.  I have to PAGE through to find stuff that’s in remotely usable quantities.  So, what do I do?  I list all of my stuff the same way lower than his.  It’s tedious to cancel, but in the long run, it’s going to hurt him.

Third:  Dream Shards are like candy.  People are selling crafted blues by the boat load.  I really should just hold onto as many of these as I can, then dump them all at once and crash the market.  Drive out competition by making them worthless… then wait.  I have other things I can sell.

Today we tried gaming.
The Impossible Quiz lived up to it’s name – I am currently stuck on No. 42, It’s a bit frustrating and seems to know you’ll keep coming back for more.
I then played Runescape but I didn’t arm myself very well, although I killed the goblin. I didn’t have much luck finding the meat in Lord Whatsisname’s bag and distracting the dragon – Alas (but my outfit was quite fetching). Games are fun; I know now why I have such problems getting my children out of their rooms to do chores as they are often in another realm.
Some games appeal to me much more than others.
That Impossible Quiz however will not beat me. I’ll be back!

Μιας και μιλίσαμε για το WOW (Word of Warcraft) και αναφερθίκαμε στην κυκλοφορία της ταινίας από την “BLIZZARD” ας κάνουμε και μια αναφορά στο κύριο θέμα που απασχολεί την εταιρία και είναι και αυτό με το οποίο ασχολούνται και οι περισσότεροι οπαδοί του παιχνιδιού, που είναι το καινούριο expansion με τίτλο Word Of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Για κάποιο λόγο, που προφανώς ήταν η μείωση του κοινού, η Blizzard αποφάσισε να ετοιμάσει και να ανακοινώσει σε πόλυ μικρό χρονικό διάστημα από το τελευταίο expansion Word Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Litch King με προταγωνιστή τον Άρθα. Η ιστορία του καινούριου expansion είναι βασισμένη σε ένα δράκο ο οποίος προέρχετε απο την ιστορία του κλασικού Warcraft. Κρυμμένος και φυλακισμένος σε μια απομονωμένη δύνη, το κατεστραμμένο Dragon Aspect Deathwing περίμενε, ανακάμπτοντας από τις πληγές του μετά τελευταία μάχη του κατά της Azeroth και περιμένει να περάσει ο χρόνος μέχρι να μπορεί να επιτεθεί ξανά στον κόσμο της Azeroth.

Σύντομα, o Deathwing Destroyer θα επιστρέψει στην Azeroth, με την έκρηξη του από Deepholm (το Deepholm είναι μια δύνη που βρίσκετε στο κέντρο του χάρτη της Azeroth όπου οι τιτάνες φυλάκισαν τον Deathwing). Ο Deathwing θα χωρίσει τον κόσμο, αφήνοντας ένα ελκώδεις πλήγμα σε όλες τις ηπείρους. Δεδομένου ότι οι Horde και οι Alliance βρίσκονται στη μέση του αγώνα για το επίκεντρο του τον κατακλυσμόυ, τα βασίλεια της Azeroth θα μάρτυρούν σεισμικές μετατοπίσεις στην εξουσία, καθώς και η εμφάνιση των ήρωων που θα ανεβαίνουν για την προστασία του σημαδεμένου και σπασμένου κόσμου από την απόλυτη καταστροφή.

Ο χαρτης της Azeroth θα αλλάχει για πάντα και οι παίκτες θα βρεθούν σε ένα ολοκαίνουριο περιβάλλον. Το μεγιστο Level θα είναι τα 85, οι παίκτες θα μπορούν να χρησιμοποιήσουν τα flying mount τους στην Azeroth, θα υπάρχουν νέες διασταυρώσεις κλάσης και φυλής, το Shadowfang Keep καθώς και τα Deadmines θα υπάρχουν πλέον και ως Heroic Dungeons, νέα Raids και Dungeons, νέες περιοχές, καινούρια skills, talents, και professions, ένα εντελώς καινούριο χαρακτιριστικό το “Path Of The Titans” θα κάνει την εμφανισή του και θα είναι κατα κάποιο τρόπο ένα talent way όπως τα κλασσικά  talents για διαφοροποιηθούν ακόμα περισσότερο οι ήρωες. Θα υπάρχουν καινούρια BGs (Battle grounds) και ένα νεο σύστημα leveling για τα Guilds καθώς και νεα Achievments και πιθανότατα επιτέλους θα μπορούν κάπως να αξιοποιηθούν αυτά τα αναθεματισμένα Achievment Points.

Γενικά το παιχνίδι αποκτά ισσοροπία κυριως με τα 2 νέα Races αφού οι Alliance  θα καταφέρουν να έχουν μια μικρή δόση από Horde με τους Worgen και οι Horde θα έχουν ένα “μικρό πραγματάκι που γαμάει” οπως χαρακτιρίζουν τους Gnome!

Η κυκλοφορία του παιχνιδιού δεω έχει ανακοινωθεί ακόμα αλλά αναμένεται μεσα στους πρώτους μήνες του 2010 όπως ακούγετε μέσα στο παιχνίδι και αυτό φαίνεται και από την διαμόρφωση του εξοπλισμού των ηρώων με τα νεα Tier 10 που θα εισαχθούν στο παιχνίδι με το καινούριο patch 3.3 όπου καταργούνται τα Daily Heroics και πλέον θα υπάρχουν Weekly Raids έτσι το gear θα είναι πιο δύσκολο να το πάρεις αλλά θα είναι και πιο καλό.

Dai che forse per Natale 2009 lo finisco…Dopo una meritata pausetta ho ripreso il buon Goblin per dedicarmi all’aspetto più spassoso: la colorazione.

Ho già una mezza idea che i tre toni che ho scelto per la colorazione verranno una zozzeria, ma per ora non mi lamento, anche se devo riconoscere che il numero di difetti che sono spuntati alla prima passata di primer è stata un tantinello scoraggiante.

La cosa più irritante è stata scorgere difetti piuttosto grossolani sui pezzi più grandi: sia perchè, che io sappia, risultano essere quelli più facili da colare, sia perchè mi ricordavo di avere un occhio piu allenato.

Sarà la vecchiaia.

Preshade on Bamboo

Il preshading è venuto dignitosamente, però inizio a temere che il trittico di colori che ho scelto per la mimetica, subirà delle sterzate cromatiche non da poco.
Mi ero completamente dimenticato di quanto profondamente STRONZI siano i toni di grigio applicati per strati.
Spero solo di non dover ripartire da zero.

Nuke!

Sono, invece, piuttosto contento del codone, che ho già iniziato a decorare nelle pause tra una spruzzettata e l’altra.
Mi spiace solo che, viste le dimensioni pazzesche degli skirt, quasi tutto il lavoro di dettaglio e decorazione verrà allegramente nascosto.

Earlier this year I posted a blog regarding the fact that 2009 would have 3 Friday the 13ths. Not rare, but an interesting mathematical occurrence.

“Each Gregorian 400-year cycle contains 146,097 days (365 * 400 = 146,000 normal days plus 97 leap days), 146,097 / 7 = 20,871 weeks, and 400 * 12 = 4,800 months. Thus, each cycle contains the same pattern of days of the week (and thus the same pattern of Fridays the 13th), but no day of the month up to the 28th can occur the same number of times on each day of the week (because 4,800 is not divisible by 7). The 13th day of the month is slightly more likely to be a Friday than any other day of the week.[18] On average, there is a Friday the 13th once every 212.35 (212 and 241/688) days.”

#6 Swamp Goblin

This is the Swamp Goblin, he’s green and lives in a swamp, yes…. like Shrek, but this little guy is different, he’s a horrible  messy, disgusting little thing, he eats anything, small children that get lost in the woods, small animals, dead things,  garden waste.

I’m a bit behind on this trying to finish some pixel art, and finish colouring in the past few days backlog, oh well I’ll upload ‘em as I finish colouring them.

I wasn’t happy with his hands so I re-did ‘em….. RAAAAAA

….and remember Nilbog is Goblin spelt backwards.

Because this week is a short one thought it would be nice to give you a heads up on what’s next to come. So:

Thursday, Yazee starts the weekend early and hosts none other than Jazzsteppa representing the mighty Hotflush label, for a live performance in Goblin Club (30, Smardan Str. – near the old city center). Tomasan will be the one warming up for the headliners with what seems to be a fresh-as-fuck set – trust! and after the headliners you’ll find me spinning probably most of the good sorts of Bristol Sounds, Dubstep, Garage and UK Funky.

Friday show some support for one of the big guns in Dubstep - Joker alongside MC Nomad, Borgore, Silent Strike and his special guests at Palatul Universul (23, Brezoianu Str.) at a Dropdread event. Also, if you’re not that into agressive beats and filthy basslines see you just across the street down in Other Side (4, Brezoianu Str.) for some serious House, Techno, 4/4 business alongside TRG, Seb and the loveboys of Tg. Mures Addo & Dan Bazix (long time no see mates!).

And save some energy after these two nights because Club Action! is set to bring Club Fabrica down in pieces, because from all the Trouble & Bass and Mishka rosters they invited just the craziest fuckers they could find: Tomb Crew. Before them in (more or less) order: Unlocka with his glitchstep sounds, Meeloox with filthy bleeps and tweaks and Gojira with his trademark bangers. After them you’ll find me again, spinning probably a more House, 4/4 and Bassline oriented set.

Needless to say more, see you in the club, and take Monday off work, college or whatever else you’re planning to do, cause after these three nights Sunday won’t be enough for rehab time.

This is Gumdrop Goblin. Another creature custom ordered for Christmas. This one was ordered by a lady in Oregon for her 13 year old daughter for Christmas. The customer wanted a fat baby goblin…FAT! I started this goblin 3 weeks ago and I was about to attach his last arm and leg when my husband said he is too big for this order. You need to size him down and start again. Wow. What a major pain since I am so limited with my time and still have now 8 of 12 orders to finish. So, I started from scratch. The first Gumdrop Goblin when standing with jointed legs was 21″ tall. Since this was a medium priced Goblin my husband put his foot down. Someone has to keep me in check. So a fatter slightly shorter (by accident again) new gumdrop goblin was born. I must admit the first goblin was way too lean and trim. I beefed this goblin up and he truly has a gumdrop shaped body. I used blue Kool-aid to dye my wool Three packs which resulted in a cool ice blue tone. Very pretty. I then accented with greens and peaches. The hair is my own drum carded mix of Merino, silk, bamboo and Angelina is hologram sparkle. Did I mention this little guy has huge feet? So big in fact that he can almost stand on his own. But since I did not brace or support his legs he is pretty wobbly. I jointed this goblin since it’s for a child and it turned out very nice. I like the result. I think for my next couple of goblins I will in fact joint them and support their legs for standing. Shipping will be another story though!

So this Goblin is not completed. I still have more face detailing, I need to fine tune his magic warts seen in yellow and he was requested with a friend or pet. So, I am just about finished a little orange goblin friend. When that part of the project is finished I’ll post both together!

It’s truly all happening at blog de Glyrics at the moment.  I’m working on a novel for National Novel Writing Month.  I’m really psyched about the novel I’m writing, Witch Outpost.  Of course its a murder mystery, set in the Southwest.  Poetry will just have to wait and BE HAPPY I’m writing.

My bride as a pumpkin goblin and I as a creepy scarecrow frightened dozens of children this Halloween.

The scarecrow beckoned from the haunted cornfield.

The scarecrow beckoned to trick-or-treaters to approach the haunted cornfield and then pointed to the candy bowl in the pumpkin goblin’s lap. It took a brave little soul to retrieve a treat from beneath her sinister leer. A few times the goblin growled or snapped. Mayhem ensued! Bwaa-ha-ha-haaaa!!

The pumpkin goblin passed out treats -- to those who dared take them.

La cat de mult am promovat acest eveniment, este evident ca nu puteam sa il ratez. O povestioara comica inainte de review: in metrou, in drum sa ma intalnesc cu Seka (Sekazone Events), eram in metrou, langa mine o familie de muti care comunicau. Dupa o vreme, cred ca vreo doua statii, vroiam sa le spun sa taca. Nu ma intreba de ce. Era liniste, dar ei vorbeau. Iar eu nu ii auzeam. Considera-l un trip nereusit. Revenind.

Asa ca ieri, la ora 8, eram deja in Fabrica, pregatind cele necesare pentru filmarea Sekazone Events, prinzand astfel sound-checkul Tippa Irie, sau mai bine spus un mic preview a ce va fi sa fie. La ora zece s-au deschis portile si lumea a intrat. Initial nu prea era zarva, dar cu timpul si odata cu tripurile frumoase au aparut si oamenii. In momentul in care vroiam sa mai iesim afara la inca un cui, am auzit aplauzele si ne-am intors din drum. Tippa Irie a intrat pe scena. A sustinut un concert de aproximativ o ora. Rezistenta fizica si psihica in fum dens. O adevarata placere, o delectare a simturilor la, probabil, cel mai tare concert reggae pe acest an.

Ciocolata, tigari, bere de la magazinul de vizavi, un steag ros-verd-galben. O bunaciune de tip la intrare. Tippa Irie.

Un eveniment in adevaratul sens al cuvantului, urmat de un somn bun pentru unii si o noapte prelungita pentru altii prin Goblin sau Suburbia. Chesarion, Butch, Raizah.

Astazi este 31.10.2009, zi cunoscuta pe glob sub denumirea de Halloween. Asa ca, pentru ca este sambata si mai este si Halloween hai sa vedem ce sa vedem prin Bucuresti in aceasta noapte:

Hello kids. I know it’s been way, way, way too long since I’ve posted anything, but this blog is officially back in business. Due to several reports that the Heartbreak Anthology was bringing the room down, it has been discontinued…well moved. It was a good way to lead off this blog, but the options are so immense that I decided to give the heartbreak mixes their own blog. It’s a blog of all heartbreak music that will be done by me and lots of guests. That way we can cover all of the bases on that subject in terms of gender, race, orientation, etc.
