Windows 7 has some built in developer shortcuts that you can easily access. One of these shortcuts allows you to create a folder with practically all settings of your computer.

godmode allows quick access to all windows 7 control panel , configuration items and features. save it as a shortcut on your desktop or copy it to a memory stick or server share. Create a new folder and rename it to the following:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

The icon changes to a control panel item, double click and it and you will have access to 286 items which you can configure your system with. For easy support, try and copy this onto a thumb drive or a share, it will always be with you!

You can run this on Vista, but it will crash 64bit vista.

Windows 7 32bit + 64bit, Vista 32 bit ONLY

Do Not Use in Vista 64bit
If you create the folder it will send Explorer into a crash loop that you can recover by entering Safe Mode command prompt, navigating to the parent folder of the god mode folder and executing rd /s God[Tab]

Create “GodMode” folder:
All you have to do is create a folder and name it GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} or
anything.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

What is GodMode?
God mode is a state in some video games wherein the player character is invulnerable to damage. It is typically activated by entering a cheat code, but some games may also include invincibility powerups. I have been using Windows 7 for several months now, but this “cheat” makes customizing it easier.  Once you follow the steps the created folder will display every little action that can be done from any menu within the control panel.  With Windows 7, the control panel can be a little confusing to work through to get specific customizations done, so having this folder with a list of all the actions will make your day go much faster.

1. Create a new folder
2. Reaname it to: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

***NOTE***I read on CNET News (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10423985-56.html) that “The trick is also said to work in Windows Vista, although some are warning that although it works fine in 32-bit versions of Vista, it can cause 64-bit versions of that operating system to crash.”

A new “GodMode” feature in Windows 7 has been revealed recently. It is a single central console to do almost everything on Windows 7, very usefull and handy for power user.

Create a new forlder anywhere for example on your desktop and name it:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Works fine, tested on:
Windows 7 x64 build 7100 Release Candidate
Windows 7 x32 build 7600 Ultimate

The “GodMode” feature is also applicable for Windows Vista, but some people says that when they try to delete a “GodMode” folder, the Explorer crashes and restarts. Google says on the issue: use command line “ren” to rename a “GodMode” folder, and then delete it.

To access this useful hack and to enter “GodMode” follow these instructions:

1. Right click on a blank area of your Desktop.
2. When the Context menu opens, select New.
3. In the side menu select Folder.
4. When the new folder appears on your Desktop, type in this string exactly as it appears:

6. The GodMode icon opens in folder format.

7. Scroll up or down to find the command you need.

In the right hand side of the GodMode folder is a main heading or topic. In the illustration above it is Action Center. Alongside the heading is a number indicating the tasks associated with that topic. Below the heading is a specific list of tasks. Clicking on a task activates that command.

In total there are some 267 tasks you can perform. While some tasks are commonplace, for example “Changing the User Account Control settings” in Action Center, others such as “Set up isSCI initiator” in Administrative Tools is bit out of the ordinary. I suggest you limit your usage of this facility to those commands you are comfortable with.

Before you start tinkering at the edges, I suggest you perform a System Restore and create a System Restore point. Then if you come to grief you can at least get out of the problem and return to safe territory.

Finally, it is a personal decision as to whether you use this useful tool or not. I have found this little hack extremely useful as I am able to get to a specific hack to solve a problem.

Jika anda pengguna Windows 7, ternyata Windows 7 memiliki God Mode. Secara sederhana God Mode adalah suatu Folder yang berisi kumpulan shortcut yang mengarah ke fungsi kontrol yang ada di Windows 7. Di dalam folder ini berisi kumpulan shortcut ke Action center, Administrative Tools, Auto play, BackUp dan restore, dll.
Lalu bagaimana cara membuat Folder God Mode Windows 7. Berikut langkah-langkahnya:
Buatlah folder baru (di sembarang tempat)
Gunakan nama GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} untuk folder baru tesebut.
Secara otomatis folder akan berganti nama jadi GodMode
Silakan buka Folder tersebut, maka fungsi-fungsi yang saya sebutkan di atas akan muncul

The “GodMode” is a hidden feature available only for Windows 7 and lets users access all of the operating system’s control panels (285 items available for me) from within a single folder.

To unhide the feature you have to create a new folder anywhere on your hard drive and simply rename it in GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and the folder should changed from the default blank folder icon to a Control Panel looking icon.

Double click on the “GodMode” icon to open it up. It looks similar to the Control Panel window, with all options placed in list format. When you on a item you will be able to go straight to the adjustments.

Earlier in the week i posted on GodMode in Windows 7 after a bit of Googling i managed to find some more GUID’s for you to try. 

As i said in the post earlier in the week if you create a folder and name it :- GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

This gives you access to all 283 command/config options in Windows 7.

Yes I told you yesterday I am huge into computers, I found out about the god mode on windows 7 today and it is huge. A lot of organize shortcuts, it is very cool. so this is how you do it. create a new folder anywhere, I suggest desktop. Then copy this GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and paste it as the name of the new folder. Then you will get a system icon instead of a folder icon. See it was easy. I know. More to come.

We have all wanted, at some stage or another, to be master of our own universe and to that end much hullabaloo has been made recently about Windows 7’s super-secret hidden GodMode. If you want to read about it head over to CNet. Interestingly this (and others) also work in Vista (if anyone still cares about Vista). However, much like Jim Carey in Bruce Almighty, for us mere mortals GodMode really isn’t that great. All it really does is put all of Windows’ various settings in one location which, while convenient, doesn’t really endow you with any god-like powers nor expose that hidden setting that turns off all the delays that you just know Microsoft have built into Windows at the request of hardware manufacturers so that you’ll need to buy new hardware. Actually I find it all a bit of a yawn.

This is a nifty little feature I just came across and verified with my Windows 7 installation. With Microsoft’s recent updates, they are hiding more and more of the nitty gritty details making you either search for them or in futile simply switch back to classic view from within control panel. To the rescue is recently discovered GodMode setting and works with any Windows 7 version.

Simply create a folder anywhere on your harddrive and rename it to the following guid:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Once, you do this, you’ll see the folder’s icon changes to a icon similar to the control panel and once you double click you have quick access to a plethora of Windows customization options.

KEWL easter egg in Windows 7!  If you’re a former XP power user who now find themselves hunting around for settings in W7, this little nugget is for you!  It will flatten your system’s control panel, as if you took a pantry and laid it out into a single-easy-to-use-lunch-basket!  Yum!  Everything is categorized and action oriented.       

All you do is create a new folder and then rename it with the following:     

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Want an easy way to access all the options within your windows 7 control panel, simple just copy and paste the following text and create a new folder with the text on your desktop…

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

1. Right click on any blank space on your desktop.

Someone finds out a hidden folder named as GodMode which allows users to access many systems control options in Windows 7.

Do NOT try this in 64-bit Vista which will result in a endless loop!

Just open the Windows Explorer and create a folder named as GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} at any where.
