Google Chrome launch has a new beta

What Google claim about his new beta version. it’s 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.

Google Chrome 1.0 (oh it just came out of Beta) is as promising as any other Google product. Want to install it? Just go the the Google Chrome Home Page and if a relase is available for the platform you are running then a button “Download Google Chrome” button will appear. Click it and and after accepting terms and conditions stated in EULA a 476kb file will start downloading a 476kb sized installer.

However this executable is not a standalone installer and requires you to be online while installation is carried out so that it can download the actual installer. Ever wished that you could have got that actual installer so that you didn’t require to download each time you install Google Chrome on different machines?

A. Cerita Sejarah Google Chrome

Pernah medengar kata-kata google? klo bagi sebagian kalangan orang yang melek IT google merupakan kata yang sangat tidak asing lagi. Bahkan hampir dari seluruh kalangan IT menggunakan google. Mulai dari search engine yang terkenal hingga berbagai jenis produk google yang telah bertebaran dimuka bumi ini, seperti google earth,…. Satu lagi gebrakan google yaitu dengan mengeluarkan browser. Browser tersebut dinamakan Google Chrome, katanya … katanya lho, Google Chrome diklaim sebagai browser tercepat yang ada saat ini. Denger-denger cerita Chrome diciptakan oleh google untuk menandingi Internet Exploler di operating sistem buatan Microsoft.

Ceritanya Google benar-benar menghabiskan waktu, tenaga dan uang untuk meneliti sebuah perangkat browser yang terintegrasi dengan baik untuk chating, email dan masih banyak lainnya untuk menghasilkan sebuah browser yang benar-benar dibutuhkan oleh banyak orang. Tidak main-main mereka mengumpulkan data dari para peselancar internet secara acak untuk mendapatkan data apa saja sebenarnya yang diinginkan oleh mereka. Intinya Google ingin sebuah penelusur internet menjadi semakin nyaman dari sekedar browser yang sudah ada saat ini, dimana bermula hanya untuk dapat membaca sebuah teks, multimedia hingga saat ini sangat bermanfaat bagi sebagian orang yang menghabiskan waktunya secara online menggunakan browser kesayangan mereka.

B. Kelebihan Google Chrome

1. Satu browser untuk banyak aplikasi; seperti web search, web history, address bar dan sebuah fitur dimana Anda dapat mengatur seluruh keperluan browser Anda.

2. Browser pintar yang dapat mengenal alamat-alamat internet populer; dengan cara mengetikkan awalan dari sebuah huruf maka Google Chrome akan dengan cepat menemukan halaman apa yang Anda maksud. Fitur ini juga sebenarnya sudah ada pada Mozilla Firefox versi 3.0.

3. Tab Page yang baru; sepintas mirip dengan Internet Explorer versi 7. Yang dapat menampilkan halaman-halaman yang telah Anda buka berupa tab-tab dalam satu window browser saja. Dan dengan hal ini bagi orang tua yang ingin mengetahui website apa saja yang sering dikunjungi oleh anak-anaknya yang akhir-akhir ini sudah mulai gemar bermain internet tentunya akan sangat terbantu.

4. Dynamic Tab; dengan adanya fitur ini tab-tab terhadap halaman web yang sudah Anda buka dapat dimainkan secara lebih dinamis seperti dipindah-pindah atau digeser termasuk juga membuka sebuah tab baru pada jendela browser yang sama.

5. Crash Control; seringkah Anda mengalami browser Anda crash? tentunya pernah. Google Chrome menangani masalah crash lebih baik yaitu kita dapat memilih kemudian menghentikan sebuah tab halaman yang ditandai crash oleh browser, dengan demikian tab lain yang normal tidak akan terganggu.

6. Incognito Mode; mode ini adalah sebuah fitur dimana Google sangat menghormati terhadap privasi data pribadi Anda seperti adanya cookie yang seringkali dibutuhkan oleh banyak aplikasi website saat ini. Saat Anda menggunakan mode ini seluruh data yang pernah Anda masukkan ke sebuah halaman web akan dihapus otomatis saat Anda selesai menggunakan mode ini.

7. Isu keamanan data adalah hal penting yang menjadi perhatian; Google Chrome akan memberikan peringatan pada Anda sebuah website yang terindikasi adanya program phising yang berbaya terhadap komputer Anda.

8. Manajemen Bookmark menjadi sangat gampang; bagi Anda yang sering menyimpan halaman web yang disukai maka dengan hanya beberapa klik saja halaman tersebut tersimpan dengan baik pada Bookmark website-website favorit Anda.

9. Anda telah memiliki bookmark pada browser lama Anda dan ingin dipindahkan? Jangan khawatir, jika Anda suka dengan Google Chrome maka telah tersedia fitur untuk mengimport url halaman-halaman web pada browser Anda sebelumnya.

10. Download teritegrasi; jika Anda senang download tidak perlu mencari tambahan program lain. Sekilas tampaknya browser baru dari Google ini tidak memiliki fitur mencolok yang berbeda dari browser lainnya yang sudah ada. Namun nama Google dibalik Google Chrome membuat penasaran banyak orang untuk mencobanya, tidak ada salahnya Anda mencobanya terlebih dahulu.

11. Google chrome juga tampil dengan bahasa Indonesia, dimana selama ini seperti kita ketahui bahwa masih sangat langka software apalagi software web browser yang berbasis bahasa indonesia, dan tentunya hal akan membantu bagi netters yang kurang paham dengan bahasa inggris, pada saat menggunakannya.

12. Ada fasilitas flash player yang dapat digunakan untuk membuka sebuah animasi atau menjalankan video dari youtube. Ternyata kita tidak perlu menginstal flash player lagi.

C. Pengalaman Menggunakan
Secara tampilan, Chrome sangat sederhana sekali… hanya terdiri dari sebuah window yang memiliki beberapa tab untuk membuka sebuah situs baru. Menu settingan untuk browser ini terletak dibagian kanan atas. Jika kita melakukan setting pada network, menu settingan akan sama dengan settingan pada IE yang menggunakan fasilitas windows.

D. Pendapat Saya Mengenai Google Chrome Dibanding Browser Lainnya
Yang pertama ada fasilitas flash player yang dapat digunakan untuk membuka sebuah animasi atau menjalankan video dari youtube. Ternyata kita tidak perlu menginstal flash player lagi, seperti halnya yang dilakukan oleh Firefox.
Fitur kedua adalah fasilitas untuk mendownload file, sepertinya Chrome telah memiliki downloader sendiri yang include didalamnya, sama halnya dengan browser jenis lainnya. Tetapi untuk kecepatan download, firefox lebih unggul jika menggunakan plugin DownThemAll.

Sejarah singkat Google Chrome

Keunggulan Google Chrome

• sangat ringan

sewaktu mendownload setup launcher Google Chrome dari internet, saya hanya memerlukan waktu beberapa detik untuk mendapatkannya, setelah itu saya coba melihat size setup launchernya. Sedikit kaget juga ketika melihat size nya yang Cuma 474 KB. Kemudian saya mencoba menginstal ke computer, dan mencoba, alhasil resource CPU computer tersebut tidak merasa terbebani sewaktu menjalankan Google Chrome. Selain itu Googl Chrome masih mampu menjalankan multiple tab hingga 20-an tab sekaligus dengan mulus

• space nya terasa lebih luas

Menu Bar dan Bookmark Bar pada Google Chrome lenyap (selain itu statusbarnya juga auto hide), sehingga ada ruang ekstra untuk melihat halaman web yang sedang kita buka. Browsing pun terasa lebih nyaman dan leluasa.

• skin yang menarik

Untuk skin, Chrome mengambil tema biru. Firefox, Opera, IE, dll.. rata-rata tampilannya inherit dengan OSnya . skin Google Chrome tidak bisa di set ke tampilan normal (inherit ke Windows). Namun karene skinnya nggak jelek, jadi nggak risih waktu jalankan aplikasinya.

• zoom

Proses zoom in/out bisa dibilang lebih cepat dari Firefox. Tapi Chrome saat ini hanya bisa melakukan zoom pada teks saja, image dan objek lainnya akan tetap pada dimensi aslinya.

• pencarian teks

Pencarian teks di Chrome cukup nyaman, saat kita mengetikan keyword, maka Chrome langsung mencari semua teks yang relevan, dan menandainya dengan warna kuning transparan. Di beberapa bagian scrollbar Chrome juga akan ditandai dengan warna kuning yang berarti teks yang relevan ada di posisi scrollbar tersebut

• lebih nyaman

penambahan tab pada Google Chrome terasa lebih nyaman Karena kita hanya tinggal mengklik tombol + di bagian paling atas untuk menambah tab, selain itu di halaman pertama secara otomatis terdapat beberapa thumbnails yang merupakan situs yang paling sering kita kunjungi, jadi kita tidak perlu memasukkan ulang alamat URL untuk mengunjungi situs favorit kita

• control kerusakkan

Setiap tab yang digunakan dijalankan secara terpisah di browser, sehingga jika salah satu aplikasi rusak, maka aplikasi lainnya tidak akan terpengaruh.

• mode penyamaran

Google Chrome menawarkan mode jelajah penyamaran. Halaman Web yang dibuka dan file yang di-download sewaktu Anda menggunakan penyamaran tidak akan disimpan dalam riwayat penelusuran dan download. Semua cookie baru terhapus setelah jendela penyamaran ditutup.

Pengalaman menggunakan Google Chrrome

Kelebihan Google Chrome sudah dapat saya rasakan ketika mendownload setup launchernya, saya hanya membutuhkan beberapa detik untuk mendapat kan setup launchernya. Padahal bandwith dan speed di warnet yang saya kunjungi bisa dikatakan biasa-biasa saja. Ternyata penyebabnya adalah size dari setup launchernya yang hanya 474 kb, sungguh browser yang sangat ringan apabila dibandingkan dengan firefox 3.0.1 yang size launchernya 7.15 MB dan opera yang size nya 8.51 MB.

Pada saat menggunakan Google Chrome saya dapat merasakan suatu kenyamanan pada user interface nya yang sangat simple dan dapat memberikan kemudahan pada user, aplikasi Google Chrome tidak memberikan beban yang signifikan pada resource CPU sehingga dapat membuka beberapa tab secara bersamaan tanpa masalah, pada saat menambah tab pun terasa sangat simple karena hanya perlu menekan satu tombol + untuk mengaktifkan tab baru.

Dari segi skin, saya rasa penampilannya sangat eye catching dengan skin yang tidak inherit dengan OS nya. Walaupun skinnya tidak sama dengan nama nya “chrome” namun hal tersebut tidak menjadi masalah.

Kekurangan Google chrome menurut saya adalah tidak adanya drop-down ke bawah untuk tombol back sehingga kita tidak dapat memilih mau back halaman mana. Selain itu tidak adanya speed indicator pada saat mendownload sedikit menyusahkan.

Saya juga menemukan keunikan dalam segi bahasa dalam menggunakan Google Chrome, bahasa yang digunakan adalah bahasa Indonesia, jadi sangaat membantu bagi user yang kemampuan berbahasa Inggrisnya rendah.

Dalam sisi user interface nya, saya tidak menemukan banyak kendala karena hanya butuh beberapa jam saja untuk membiasakan diri menggunakan Google Chrome, karena menurut saya Google Chrome merupakan penyederhanaan dari browser yang ada namun dengan fitur yang lumayan lengkap. Oleh Karena itu Google Chrome patut dicoba agar dapat merasakan kelebihanny asecara langsung. Selamat mencoba?!

GOOGLE CHROME DIBANDING BROWSER LAINNYA

Sejak awal Google Chrome ingin menciptakan suatu browser yang praktis dan memiliki kelebihan-kelebihan yang tidak dapat dimiliki browser lainnya. Diantaranya adalah tampilan yang benar-benar berbeda dan fresh dalam segii user interface yang tidak dimiliki oleh browser lain misalnya melenyapkan menubar dan bookmarkbar dan dilengkapi oleh statusbar yang autohide sehingga jendela browser terlihat lebih lapang. selain itu Google Chrome memiliki kemampuan yang mumpuni yang dapat menyaingi firefox seri 3 dan opera seri 9 namun dengan size yang friendly terhadap resource sistem.

Untuk skin-nya, Google Chrome memilih warna yang nyeleneh dari namanya, yaitu memilih warna biru. Penggunaan skin pada web browser bukan merupakan hal yang lumrah, karena kebanyakan browser tampilannya menyesuaikan dengan OS.

Terdapat thumbnails website yang sering kita kunjungi pada saat tiap kali membuka tab baru pada Google Chrome, sebenarnya Opera sudah menyertakan fasilitas ini namun yang membedakan adalah pada Google Chrome setting entry nya secara otomatis.

Setiap tab yang digunakan dijalankan secara terpisah di browser, sehingga jika salah satu aplikasi rusak, maka aplikasi lainnya tidak akan terpengaruh, apabila salah satu tab error maka tidak akan menggangu tab yang lainnya. Dan proses browsing tetap menyenangkan.

Google Chrome memberikan mode penyamaran dimana Halaman Web yang dibuka dan file yang di-download sewaktu Anda menggunakan penyamaran tidak akan disimpan dalam riwayat penelusuran dan download. Semua cookie baru terhapus setelah jendela penyamaran ditutup.

After spending a few weeks working with a beta version, I’ve concluded that there’s just enough that’s better in the CS4 updates to Photoshop and Photoshop Extended — most notably, usability improvements for core features — that many people will find themselves sighing, biting the bullet, and upgrading. That bullet-biting stems from Adobe’s traditionally steep upgrade pricing — in this case, £139 (ex. VAT) for Photoshop and £275 (ex. VAT) for Photoshop Extended — combined with the knowledge that in 18 months Adobe will be asking for another upgrade because it only partly ported over the interface changes and that 2009’s latest version will have delivered on the promises of this version’s technology upgrades.

In some ways, this version feels like a necessary evil. Adobe has obviously put a lot of work into it, but most of it is under the surface — way under the surface from the perspective of the everyday user. The entire 3D engine (in Extended) has been migrated from a PDF-based architecture to OpenGL, and the company has seeded OpenGL support throughout the application. The panels architecture is now extensible via Flash, allowing Adobe, or third parties, to create their own panels or modify some of the existing ones. And via the release of the Pixel Bender SDK, the filter library is not only extensible but has integrated GPU and multi-core acceleration. All of this is essential in order to allow future versions of Photoshop to evolve. However, the move to support 64-bit Windows, and multi-touch inputs and 16-bit printing on the Mac, are probably the only technology changes that will significantly impact users of this version.

Extended users will benefit more immediately from these underlying changes than Standard users. For the latter, OpenGL support primarily manifests itself as some whizzy screen zooming and rotation tools that demo impressively but are unlikely to be used much. However, Adobe has greatly improved Extended’s 3D support. It now offers most of the essential render settings and view controls, plus the ability to create primitives (and extend the library of primitives), necessary to work with 3D models. You edit and paint on textures simply by double-clicking on them in the Layers palette, then see your changes applied when you toggle back to the model — not quite real-time, interactive painting, but close enough for now. And now there’s basic keyframe animation for 3D scenes. Still there’s room for improvement: it needs better lighting handling and the ability to tile textures, and several aspects of the interface, like the Rendering options, are still far too dialogue-driven.

That mixture of real-time and dialogue-driven still permeates the interface of Photoshop in general, despite some advances. For example, if you use Photoshop for web or print production work, the move to modeless Adjustment and Masks panels for real-time adjustments and previewing of changes in mask feathering and density is potentially a huge time-saver. But all the ancillary operations, such as the Radius, Contrast, Smooth, (another) Feather and Contract/Expand parameters controlled by Refine Mask, remain in a modal dialogue box.

So while there are a few tweaks, such as the new tabbed windows (you can still float them, though) and jarring all-caps text, long-time users won’t encounter a lot to slow down their workflow. On the upside, tool shortcut keys now behave in what Adobe refers to as a ’spring loaded’ fashion. That means that if you hold down the shortcut key for one tool while another is selected in the toolbar, it temporarily overrides the toolbar until you release the key. Very nice. On the other hand, I don’t particularly like the iconic representations of the adjustments in the new panel — you can’t tell what they are without mousing over them and reading the text — but you can just ignore them and use the adjustment layer pop-up on the Layers palette as always.

Aside from the real-time adjustments, there’s not a lot new here for Photoshop’s core photo-editing audience. Adobe Camera Raw is now up to version 5, and has been brought more into sync with the way Lightroom handles files. It includes local retouching brushes like that application, although I suspect the quick fixes for which they’re intended are less important when opening into Photoshop than in Lightroom. And now that you’ve trained yourself not to use Dodge, Burn and Sponge — because they’ve worked so poorly for the last 10-plus versions — Adobe has fixed them, by limiting the areas of the tonal range to which they apply. The Vibrance control, a saturation adjustment that preserves skin tones and which has made it into all the other Adobe photo applications, finally comes to Photoshop as well.

Also useful (some might say overdue) the Clone Stamp and Healing brushes now display a preview of what it will be stamping or healing, and brush size in general is now interactive.

Adobe has also tweaked the Color Range Select tool, adding the ability to limit the selection to ‘Localized Color Clusters’. It sounds nice, but I couldn’t get it to work well in any meaningful way; rather than limit it to contiguous colours that meet the specified criteria, as I expected, it seemed to limit the range to a user-specified-size circle around a sample point. An extension of the old Auto Align and Auto Blend capabilities combines the sharpest areas of several layers of similar images, which Adobe promotes as delivering an extended depth-of-field image. In practice, you have to be very careful or end up with an odd mixture of blur and sharp that bears no resemblance to anything producible with a camera. Those image combination scripts have also been beefed up with vignette (edge darkening) and fish-eye distortion correction when creating panoramas.

Also nice in theory, but not so much in practice, is Content-Aware scaling, Adobe’s implementation of seam-carving technology. This feature looks and acts like a first stab at an interesting capability; the results are unpredictable and frequently not up to the standards of a typical Photoshop user. Photoshop also has ostensibly better integration with Lightroom 2 (still in beta), but the workflow still seems fairly clunky to me. You make adjustments in LR, then save the metadata, open it in Photoshop, make changes and save; then you have to force a read of the metadata to update the display in LR. Given that LR 2 hasn’t shipped yet, let’s hope Adobe comes up with something a bit more elegant.

And, of course, there’s the inevitable disappointment with the stuff Adobe hasn’t changed, such as the poor print layout controls and embarrassingly primitive text handling. Performance conclusions will have to wait for final code, and only time will tell if Adobe has fixed its heinously annoying updater.

There’s more, of course, but nothing that screams ‘I’m going to make your life easier!’ Which is why I suspect users will be sighing when they lay down the cash for the upgrade rather than eagerly anticipating all the fun times ahead. Maybe that will come with CS5, when the fruits of Adobe’s technological labours have ripened.

O navegador Google Chrome foi lançado dia 02/09 mas já está gerando polêmica. Muitos dizem que ele é rápido, estável e melhor que o Firefox, porém talvez seja mera especulação.

O navegador Google Chrome da Google é excelente nos quesitos:aparência, streaming rápido (transmissão de vídeos ao-vivo), dá para ver vários videos no youtube pois rodam bem rápido (dependendo do vídeo), acessar operações e aplicativos básicos da internet.

Só que quando tentamos forçar operações mais capciosas, difíceis, ele começa a falhar.

Definitivamente ele não foi criado para a instalação de plugins, é melhor realmente que o Internet Explorer 6.0 mas perde para o Firefox em complementos, carregamento de imagens, compatibilidade,entre outros aspectos.

Днес сутринта (след като шефа ми я показа) си дръпнах бета версията на Google Chrome. Няма да отричам, че бях крайно скептично настроен, но тъй като съм тествал всички браузъри който смятам, че заслужават внимание \Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Safari и разбира се Firefox\ сметнах, че ще бъде крайно глупаво да не дам шанс на Google Chrome.

В следващите няколко реда, ще опиша нещата който ми направиха по-сериозно впечатление, а в края можете да видите няколко псевдо теста

Почвам!

Първото което се набива на очи е минималистичният дизайн, чудовищната скорост (повече за това при тестовете) и отличната функционалност.

Началната страничка съдържа ВСИЧКО от което се нуждаете:

Най-често посещаваните от вас страници излизат като тъмбнейли, имате бар за търсене в хисторито ви, последните букмарки който сте направили, и последните страници който сте затворили. Всичко е чисто, логично и ужасно удобно.

Адрес бара е подобен на “ултра интелигентният такъв” на Firefox с тази разлика, че изпълнява и ролята на сърч бар. Чест прави на google, че ако поради някаква безумна причина, нямате желание да търсите с тях, можете да кажете на адрес бара по дефаут да търси в почти всеки друг познат ви сърч енджин.

Предложенията на бара, са далеч по интелигентни от тези на Лиско btw. Какво имам предвид ли? Да речем, че искам да отида на страницата на DSK direct… Пиша първите две букви (ds) и резултата е следният:

\и това е всеки път. В 95% от случаите предложението на лиско е някакъв безумно дълъг линк към нещо което вече съм отварял. Естествено заради секюритито, този линк горе не може да се отвори \

Предложението на Google Chrome е с пъти по-интелигентно

Task Manager:
Повечето от нас ползват табове в браузърите си (аз ползвам ужасно много). Всички знаем обаче какво се случва ако нещо по-страниците крашне. Бум трес, нот респондинг, адио… и целият ви браузър се срива, заради някое малоумно джава скриптче. И какво става? Поста дето го писа 30 минути в онзи форум е чао-чао, заради една бъгава страничка. Точно за това (и не само де) в Google Chrome има вкаран Task Manager идентичен с този във всяка нормална операционна система:

Идеята е, че всяка една страничка която сте отворили е отделен процес. И ако този процес увисне, просто го убивате без да си сривате целия браузър. ПРОСТО ГЕНИАЛНО. Отделно, всичко което се случва в дадена страничка… си остава в дадена страничка. Java скрипта си цикли в таба на yougamers и толкоз. Другите си вървят, все едно нищо.

Режим ,,инкогнито”:
Още нещо много хитро! Когато активирате въпросният режим (активира се за отделен таб т.е едни таб може да е инкогнито, а друг не) всички сайтове който посетите и файловете който изтеглите няма да се запазят в хисторито ви

Импорт на настройките:
Още при инсталацията на Chrome, ми стана ясно, че някой е мислил сериозно върху идеята:

“Хромчо” директно ми импортна всички букмарки от Лиско, и най-вече паролите за хилядите сайтове който посещавам За сега въпросната функция бачка с Firefox и Internet Explorer но по нататък се очаква да може да се инпортва и от други браузъри.

Естествено браузъра е много секюръд, и прочие екстри (за пълната гама такива, четете тук).

...войната стана с един браузър по-жестока!

В общи линии – кърти, чисти и извозва… Но дайте да видим как се справя на бойното поле срещу Internet Explorer (7.00.6000.16386) и Firefox (3.0.1).
За интересуващите се от цифрички, машината ми е с 32-битова Vista, 2GB RAM и DualCore Intel Pentium D 805, на 2676 MHz.

Boot time: (време на стартиране).

За целта на този тест, си фанах хронометърчето и засякох колко време отнема на браузъра да стартира. Имайте предвид, че сравнението е малко нечестно, защото Firefox-а ми е наблъскан с add-они, а по IE-то не е правено нищо. От друга страна, времето при Лиско и IE е до стартиране на програмата, а не зареждане на началната страница, докато при Chrome е до зареждане на старовата страница.
Воден от принципа 5 от 5 мерих всичко по пет пъти.

Заключение: Лиско се държи ужасяващо мудно, а Google Chrome просто лети. Каквото и да си говорим boot time, под половин секунда е много!

Ресурси:
Чух, че разни хора се оплакват, че “Хромчо” харчел много RAM (което е логично, предвид факта, че всеки таб е отделен процес), за това реших да отворя една от букмарк папките ми (съдържаща едва 34-таба) във всеки един от трите браузъра и да видя колко ресурси харчат животните
Заредих 34-те таба, проверих дали всички станички са се отворили нормално (голямо циклене падна по-едно време) и отворих адванс task мениджъра на Chrome, който е така добър да вади статистика за всички пуснати браузъри. Ето данните:

Тъй като и на мен не ми стана много ясно какво означава всичко (освен че IE-то е ламя) се допитах до един независим експерт, по-всички тези въпроси – Task Manager-а на Vista
Данните там, бяха повече от красноречиви:

Мисля, че е доста очевадно кой е най-икономичният от трите браузъра, а разликата е направо фрапираща. Имайте предвид, че това е при 34 отворени таба, във всеки от който има най-различни простотии. Firefox-а, теоретично има преимущество защото при него е пуснат адд-она Adblock Plus, който вижда сметката на де що има реклами. Но резултатите са това което са.

[UPDATE]: achkar беше така добър, да забележи че съм бил достатъчно тъп да не видя, че chrome.exe не е само един процес Пуснах наново 34-те таба и грубо сметнах колко рам ми е изял “хромчо”. Резултата ~ 350 000 K. т.е  Google Chrome наистина е по-лаком от лиско на тема RAM-памет. Ама дреме ви, тя сега е евтина От към процесорна мощ, няма сериозни промени. 10x на achkar за много уместната забележка Статията продължава по-старумо.[/UPDATE]

Shutdown:
Най-забавното обаче настана, когато реших да затворя браузърите (ей така с 34-те таба в тях).
Google Chrome се замисли малко и изгасна;
Firefox се затвори без никакви претенции;
а IE ме разсмя от сърце, показвайки това:

Заключение:
Google Chrome е много бърз, лек и интелигентен браузър който за пореден път показва защо google са едни от най-добрите. Правен е с мисъл, и определено има място сред другите браузъри. Все още му липсват неща (искам да имам още по-голям контрол над табовете примерно), и ползващите Firefox ще изреват, защото няма как да ползват любимите си плъгини, но тъй като е още бета, мисля, че тепърва ще видим на какво е способен.

Google has released the very first beta of their new web browser, Google Chrome. Chrome is a browser that, for now at least, is focused on offering a full browsing experience within a minimalistic user interface. To skip past the P.R. phrasing, Google Chrome is designed to be simple to use without sacrificing any of the features required for daily web browsing.

To get a little more in depth, Google Chrome uses the same rendering engine as Apple’s Safari browser, named Webkit. In recent history, the developers of Webkit have made great strides in creating what is, as of today, the fastest browser engine in terms of rendering speed. Google Chrome, currently version 0.2.149.27, seems to use a slightly older build of Webkit (version 525.13, to be precise), however, so some of the recent Webkit development gains will not have made it into the first release of the browser.

Other features of Chrome include a dynamic tab system which allows you to drag and drop tabs inside and outside of the browser window, an “incognito mode” in which the sites you visit are not added to your browsing history, and a feature similar to Opera’s Speed Dial, in which you are presented with your nine most visited websites, in thumbnail form, when opening a new tab.

Google Chrome Beta

Google has come out with a browser also known as Google Chrome beta. Its appearance gives a look of a very simple browser (much simpler compared to IE 5 or Firefox Ver 1.0). By default the address bar is also having Google Search feature, or you can type direct web address on it. It also shows full history of the sites you have last visited on your home page..While I was browsing through Google Chrome, I came across some sites having Java, there it mentioned no plugin found. Should I say, it has no Java support?

On privacy issue, Google Chrome cannot give any assurances. I believe, whether you allow or not allow, google chrome will send information to google by default, maybe indirectly.

Some websites might experience orientation issues. Not many features, but it is good for a rookie, who just want to surf internet. Security issues will come up once people start testing on their computers. I felt that there is some problem in accessing Silverlight based webplayers on my website, though the music is audible but the support is highly limited. Some Silverlight based websites may not work at all. It needs to be further checked. I was unable to find out RSS logo, while accessing RSS feed sites. Flash based sites work.

There can be plugins for incorporating Google talk, Gmail and YouTube.

Not my kind of Browser, but as I said…

It is good for people who just want to surf internet or people have memory issues on their computers. This browser will work like kayak, for slow computers..Since it is a browser with minimum features, it gives a large view while accessing a website (inside window view of a webpage). Some new features like independent processes for tabs, compiled javascript, and the incognito mode have been introduced, it will further get checked when people start using it practically.

Being in beta form, Google will slowly take care of all the bugs, and reach to a much refined browser which is not a memory hog like firefox.

I believe the real browser war is between Microsoft IE, Firefox, and Apple Safari.

All the views are my personal views, depending on my observations.

Added – “Statcounter” says Google’s Chrome has taken 1.2% of worldwide browser market share in just one single day !! Incredible. People shifted to Chrome from Internet Explorer and Firefox both, though Google’s strategy was to take on IE, but it is the Firefox which will be a bigger loser.
