We all have those days where the TV, chick flicks, and trashy magazines can’t even cure our never-ending boredom. I am one of those people who get bored extremely easily. Usually, TV can help. But when there’s nothing on – which is pretty much never – I really don’t know what to do. Seriously. All I do is sit there, wallowing in my own boredom. Now, I would never wish for that to happen to anyone. Here a couple of boredom-curing websites… But feel free to post your boredom cures and stories

1. The Onion 
   “America’s Finest New Source”… Apparently. It’s not my cup of tea, but to people who like reading the news and learning new things it’s excellent. With their endless categories, The Onion just can’t make you any more bored than you already are… Unless you can’t read. Then that would be a bummer.
2. Pandora
   The ultimate source for listening to music online, Pandora really does cure your boredom… If you’re obsessed with music and radio and reading about all those celebrities. If you live outside America, however, Pandora is not available to you. Sorry, all you folks outside of the U.S.
3. Flixster
   I know, I know… We’ve all heard of Flixster, but it is truly a boredom-curing website. And I’m 100% serious. You can spend hours of Flixster just rating your favourite movies. Well, if you’re not into movies then this is not the website for you. Don’t worry, I’m sure you can find something else. But who in their right mind does not like movies? However, Flixster does not only talk about movies, it has plenty of fun and games. No, really… The category is named “Fun & Games”.
4. Lifehacker
   Completely self-explanatory. Lifehacker.com is really a life-hacker. From free iPhone application downloads to simply learning the basics of regular expressions, Lifehacker is fun Finally. A website that’s fun! Who knew you could make computers so entertaining?
5. Weatherbonk
   Okay, you can pretty much tell what Weatherbonk is like… Full of weather. Mm-hm, I know. When I think of the word “Weather”, I think of typical British ladies sipping their tea discussing the constant raining. Well, Weatherbonk is similar to that. It provides webcams around every city in the world… Well, almost every city. And guess what? You can also see traffic on Weatherbook. I know! The traffic. It’s amazing.
6. GoogleFight
   This site is actually pretty cool. Although it’s not really a boredom-curing website, GoogleFight is rather entertaining. I mean, you can make George W. Bush fight Osama Bin Laden. Apparently, George W. Bush won. I wonder why… Or how. That’s insane. Has anyone seen Osama lately? Just kidding.
7. Coolest Gizmo
   Can’t you pretty much guess what this site is all about? If you’re a fan of the latest gadgets – or the oldest – then this is the perfect site for you. From the just-plain-crazy gizmos to the oh-so-lame ones, Coolest Gizmo is the place to be for nerds like that. No offense. I, myself, am a perfectly pure nerd… And proud to be.
8. Uncyclopedia
   Totally entertaining. Exactly like Wikipedia, but there’s one big difference… It’s the total opposite. Well, the information is anyway. The layout is exactly the same, but all the information given on Uncyclopedia is twisted into tabloid dirt. Fake, obviously. But entertaining nonetheless. Just search for Jennifer Aniston on Uncyclopedia and the info that pops up is truly breathtaking. Go on, I dare you.
9. GameHuddle
   Okay, GameHuddle is pretty much a lovely game site. “But there’s millions of others”, you say… Well, this is just another one of those millions. You can either play on this one, or the 999,999 others. But seriously… Would you rather game on GameHuddle; a gaming/social networking site that I’ve provided for you and have recommend? Or would you rather spend another 10 minutes googling “amazing game sites” until you come all the way back to GameHuddle? Your choice.
10. Bored.com
    I really did save the best for last. Bored.com offers everything. And I mean everything. Okay, maybe not weather forecasts and news. But it’s pretty much a gaming, music, and romance site. It also includes “dumb” and “weird” categories. Wow, can’t wait to take a look at those. Oh, my God! A picture of George W. Bush just popped up in the “dumb” category! Okay, I was totally kidding. Or not

A few years ago while working in Christian camping part of my job was to help produce a game show style program each weekend of the winter as we hosted hundred of teens. One favorite was Google Fight. We loaded Googlefight.com on the big screen and had student volunteers submit answers under a certain theme that they thought would yield the greatest number of hits on Google.

This is the simple and funny beauty of Googlefight.com. Just enter two topics, hit fight and the site produces the results for you in bar chart format. Good old fun on “the internets.”

Bu abi, nam-ı diğer El Niño, ne kadar özel bir adam olduğunu bir kez daha gösterdi. Hem de ezeli düşmanına karşı. Liverpool, Casillas yüzünden 4′te kaldı. Maç, Real tarihinin en büyük hezimetlerinden biri olma yolunda emin adımlarla ilerledi 90 dakika boyunca.

Madrid tarafında dert, yeni teknik direktörün ve başkanın kim olacağıydı. Akıllarda bu varken, Anfiel deplasmanı hiç kolay değil elbet. En zayıf karnı Lassana Diarra ve Gago’dan oluşan orta alanı oldu Real’in maç boyunca. Gerrard, Xabi Alonso ve Mascherano fazla geldi genç orta sahaya. Babbel’i de unutmamak lazım. Sergio Ramos’u hiç bu akşamki kadar çaresiz görmemiştim.

Sonuçta, Liverpool’un 45 dakika boyunca sürklase ettiği, Lucas’ın yarım saat, Jay Spearing’in 20 dakika oynadığı; Real Madrid’in ise 1. dakikadan olacakların sinyalini verdiği ilginç bir Şampiyonlar Ligi maçı oldu. Bu arada, olan bir de bizim Termodinamik vizesine oldu da neyse.

So the answer to everyone’s question is…

I am definitely an iconoclast and not a malcontent. In fact, I’m fifty percent more iconoclast than malcontent today, if you believe the results at Google Fight, which I like to do. Believe in the results, that is, although I also like a good Google Fight. It beats a cage match every time.

If you find yourself in a conundrum and don’t know if you should or shouldn’t do something, or you’re finding it hard to decide who to date or what to buy Google have come up with an answer. 

Google Fight can make all the decisions for you, just type in two names or phrases say Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 / Paul Smith or John Doe and press fight.  Whoever wins the fight then that’s your answer, you never have to decide again if you don’t want to.

Ale mniejsza z tym, mogę pisać sam dla siebie, po prostu to lubię. Zdecydowałem się pisać bloga to go piszę. Jestem w tym konsekwentny. Natomiast ludzie ogólnie mają problem z rozpoznaniem czy Polska jest związana z EU czy z ZSRR.

Za to są przekonani że kurczak był pierwszy. Jajko jest dobre, ale nie z solą tylko (!) z cukrem. A u nas (czyli w Polsce) musi być czyściutko, a za granicą jest brudniej

Además de poder cruzar a viejos adversarios virtuales (Papipo vs eBlog -resultado-; Coca Cola vs Pepsi -resultado-; Fernet Branca vs Fernet 1882 -resultado-), también se puede probar con personas (Mariano Amartino vs Fabio Baccaglioni -resultado-) y portales (Meneame vs Digg -resultado-).

En fin, que las posibilidades son infinitas, como “la interné misma”.

Una de mis manías es levantarme temprano? : ) encender la cocina, la PC entrar al Firefox, dentro de Google y tipear “serigrafia” sólo para comprobar que no me caí!, felizmente lo sigo comprobando, mi sitio figura en la primer página de resultados. Pero porsupuesto, serigrafia aparece en otras 2.390.000 páginas, es por esto que el segundo paso es encontrar algo que diferencie a mi sitio del resto y lo ponga unos pasos tras wikipedia (a esta no le encuentro la vuelta ) que sigue firme en su primer posición, y sí, tiene millones de enlaces apuntándola, inclusive algunos desde mi propia página.
La cuestión que surge de esto es que me encuentro con cientos de recursos para analizar mis palabras claves, links, ranking, etc, pero para quienes andan de visitantes por mi página de ocurrencias y no están tan interesados con tecnicismos, no les voy a dar una lista de recursos, al menos no hoy, pero esta joyita no podía dejar de enseñarles, se llama Google Fight inicie la pelea con Google!, hagan la prueba en los casilleros se deben introducir sus palabras claves, por ejemplo, Argentina en uno y Chile en el siguiente, saben el resultado? hagan la prueba!

En cuanto a lo de la pista del retiro…la pista no estaba mal (me imagino que ya la habrán quitado) aunque podría haber estado mejor, pero aceptable. Pequeña como es normal, de echo llegamos allí sobre las 11 o 12 de la mañana claro y tuvimos que esperar una hora porque ya no cabía gente, eso después de aguantar un cola enorme, al esperar estábamos los primeros, justo se acabaron las plazas para nosotros… pero lo más gracioso era que había una pista para adultos y otra para niños y en la de los niños si había plazas, y les tuvimos que dejar pasar para comprar las entradas pero es que los niños entraban con los padres en la de adultos los muy ca***** y la llenaban más aun, así normal que una estuviera llena y la otra vacía, que en tamaño no se llevaban tanto! Cuando conseguimos entrar me hicieron la gracia de que no podía dejar el bolso con las botas y me tocó meterlo a la pista, al final lo dejé escondido debajo de una lona porque no podía patinar si no. Y digamos que los nenes nos dieron el día, algunos que no tenían ni p*** idea de patinar iban por el centro a toda leche cayendo todo el tiempo y haciendo que los demás se cayeran. Luego había un grupillo que se estaban tirando bolas de nieve, les echaron la bronca un par de veces, pero no les echaron hasta los 40 min, y la “sesión” era de 45 min así que todo el tiempo fastidiando. También estaba el típico listillo que tampoco tenía ni idea de patinar, al que los demás le daban igual y se hacía el gracioso, estaba “patinando” de un lado para otro, a toda leche y haciendo lo que el llamaría “piruetas” que básicamente era dar media vuelta y a punto de estamparse contra el suelo. Me dio mucha pena que al final no se rompiera la nariz, y si se la rompía yo iba a ser cantoso, pero que se le va a hacer.

En resumen no estuvo mal aunque no lo parezca quitando esos pequeños inconvenientes nos lo pasamos muy bien. El árbol lo vimos claro y no parecía haber tenido demasiado éxito, iba por la mitad mas o menos, y no teníamos tiempo para pedir un deseo así que no pudimos colaborar :^\ pero bueno el caso es que nos lo pasamos muy bien. En Nochevieja tuvimos grandes inconvenientes de ultimísima hora y al final lo tuvimos que celebrar en mi casa, pero también nos lo pasamos bien.

Y eso ha sido todo por hoy, luego si tengo un rato pondré alguna presentación más, aunque no se porque me quedará una hora o así y tengo que entrar en IKEA que estoy de reformas !!

همونطور که میدونید گوگل سرویسای مختلفی داره. از این به بعد سعی میکنم به معرفی سرویسهای قدیم،یا جدید گوگل هم بپردازم.

خوب از یه دونه از سرویسای قدیمی شروع میکنم. البته شاید واسه خیلیهاتون جدید باشه.

خوب؛ این سرویس که گوگل فایت نام داره. به اینصورته که شما برای مقایسه تعداد سرچهای دوتا کلمه مختلف میتونید ازش استفاده کنید. مثلا دلتون میخواد بدونید که کلمه فایرفاکس بیشتر تو گوگل سرچ شده یا آی ای. البته این سایت یک سری مقایسه های پیش فرض و جالب هم داره که میتونید بش سر بزنید. البته جالبه که بدونید این سایت متعلق به گوگل نیست و اصلا هیچ ربطی به گوگل نداره !!!!؟

This is a fun idea – google fighting You pick two words, pitch them against each other and see who wins!  The results come from the number of search items found for those words.  So, you could see who wins out of girls vs boys, cats vs dogs, or surfing the web vs doing homework or whatever!

Just as if I had nothing more important to do, I decided to put up this blog in a Google fight against another one of my own blogs. As could be expected I lost but I also won which was not a surprise either.

The score of Larko lobiseb is almost twice as high as that of More shameless remarks by Larko. Then again, Larko lobiseb has been on line for six years against just one year with this blog. So I had better watch out or I am going to catch up myself.
