Usually I use Google Chrome for day to day browsing. It is really fast when compared to other browsers. But several sites have issues with it and Adobe’s plugins also have issues with it. Hence I use IE whenever Chrome has issues and of course for all https transactions.

Thanks to Google, of late I have started using IE more frequently. Yes, Google (Toolbar) is the reason for my shift to IE. I started visiting French language sites frequently and need an auto translator option with a toolbar. But there is no such thing for Google Chrome. Thanks to Google Toolbar, I am using IE more frequently.

• On-page Optimization – คือการปรับ CODE ของเว็บ เช่น Title Tag, Meta Tag, ปรับ copy หรือเนื้อหาในเว็บเพจเพื่อบรรจุ keyword ที่เลือกไว้ให้เหมาะสม รวมถึงการ design หรือ redesign หน้าเว็บให้เหมาะกับ Search Engine
• Off-Page Optimization – โดยทั่วไปแล้ว ปัจจัยพื้นฐานที่ทำให้เว็บคุณอยู่ได้รับการ Index หรือมีชื่ออยู่ใน Search Engine คือ จำนวนของเว็บทำลิ๊งค์เข้ามาหาเว็บของคุณ (Backward Link) นั่นเองหรือเรียกว่า เพิ่ม Link Popularity อย่างนี้ก็หมายความว่า ใครมี Backward Link เยอะก็มีโอกาสขึ้นอันดับสูงนะซิ คงไม่ใช่ซะทีเดียวครับ เพราะหากคุณเที่ยวไปขอแลกหรือซื้อลิ๊งค์สุ่มสี่สุมห้า ก็อาจโดนแบนจาก Search Engine ได้เพราะ Search Engine เองก็ดูด้วยว่าลิ๊งค์ของคุณมีจำนวนและมีคุณภาพมากแค่ไหน คุณภาพที่ว่าก็คือ จำนวนของเว็บที่ลิ๊งค์มาหาเว็บคุณควรจะเป็นเว็บที่อยู่ในอุตสาหกรรมเดียวกัน หรือใกล้เคียงกับคุณเช่น หากคุณทำเว็บขาย VCD DVD ก็ควรมี backward link จากเว็บจำพวกข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับหนัง หรือ DVD เป็นต้น ดังนั้น วิธีการที่แนะนำคือการขอแลกลิ๊งค์หรือ Link Exchange มากหว่าจะไป Buy link ครับ
• Submission – คือการลงทะเบียนกับ search engine ซึ่งปัจจุบันในขั้นตอนนี้อาจจะไม่จำเป็นแล้วเพราะ Search Engine ส่วนใหญ่จะใช้ โปรแกรมที่เรียกว่า Robot หรือ Spider วิ่งไปหาเว็บไซด์ต่างๆเอง ยกเว้น web directory อย่าง DMOZ.com ซึ่งยังคงอาศัยการตรวจเว็บด้วยคนอยู่แต่ถ้าเว็บใดได้มีชื่ออยู่ใน DMOZ ก็เป็นบุญเลยล่ะครับเพราะ GOOGLE เองอิงข้อมูลจาก directory นี้มากและยังให้ PageRank กับ DMOZ สูงถึง 9 /10 นั่นหมายความว่าถ้าเว็บของคุณมีชื่ออยู่ใน DMOZ โอกาสขึ้นอันดับสูง ๆ มีแน่ครับ แต่ DMOZ ก็ใช้เวลาในการตรวจสอบเว็บนานมาก บางเว็บ submit ไปเป็นปี ยังไม่มีชื่อในเว็บนี้เลย
• Monitor Monitor Monitor – อย่าชะล่าใจเมื่อเว็บของคุณติดอันดับต้นๆ เพราะมีคู่แข่งของคุณคอยช่วงชิงแหน่งไปจากคุณตลอดเวลา การตรวจสอบอันดับทั้งเว็บของคุณและคู่แข่งของคุณ ละการเพิ่ม keyword ที่เกี่ยวข้องเป็นสิ่งที่ควรทำอยู่เสมอครับ

ขั้นตอนที่ว่ามาทั้งหมดนั้น อ่านแล้วเหมือนว่า ”ง่ายจัง!” คงไม่ง่ายอย่างนั้นครับ เพราะในเมื่อ กรุงโรมไม่ได้สร้างเสร็จในวันเดียวฉันใด การติดอันดับใน Search Engine ก็ต้องใช้เวลาฉันนั้น ว่ากันว่า ไม่ต่ำกว่า 6 เดือนครับถึงจะขึ้นอันดับต้นๆ

แต่หากใครต้องการวิธีลัด Search Engine เองก็มีให้ครับ ซึ่งเรียกวิธีนี้ว่า “Pay per Click” ค่าย Google นั้นมี Campaign ชื่อ Google adword ส่วนฝั่ง Yahoo! ก็มี ”Sponsored Search” ครับ โดยเราต้องไปเลือก keyword และเข้าสมัครสมาชิกเพื่อประมูล keyword และเมื่อให้ราคาสูงที่สุดเว็บของคุณก็จะอยู่ผลการค้นหาด้วย keyword นั้น ในหน้าแรกเช่น asiarooms.com ประมูล keyword “Thailand Travel” ได้เป็นอันดับหนึ่ง ชื่อของ asiarooms.com จะไปปรากฏเป็นอันดับหนึ่งในส่วนของ google adword ด้านขวามือครับ

แต่วิธีนี้คุณจะต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่ายเมื่อมีผู้คลิ๊กที่ลิ๊งค์ของคุณเป็น จำนวนเงินเท่าคุณเสนอราคาประมูลได้ให้แก่ Search Engine เช่น หากคุณประมูลคำนี้ในราคา (สมมุตินะครับสมมุติ) 0.50 บาทต่อคลิ๊ก ทุกครั้งที่ผู้ชมคลิ๊กลิ๊งค์ของคุณ 0.50 บาทในมือคุณก็จะหลุดลอยไปอยู่ในมือของ Search Engine ครับ

ดังนั้น คงต้องชั่งนำหนักดูกันแล้วครับว่า การทำ Search Engine Optimization กับการทำ Pay per Click อย่างใดจะคุ้มค่ากว่ากัน

Google recently introduced its new Google toolbar option called as Sidewiki. As you  know every now and than Google comes up with new functions, tools or concept. It’s the  search engine which listen to user inputs and improves its services accordingly, it has good communication with its visitors understand them.
So What is Google Sidewiki, it is toolbar option in google toolbar for Firefox & Internet Explorer. Google is soon add it in own browser Google chrome & Google API is also ready to be used. My experience in Using Sidewiki is good, it gives Visitors to give there comments, feedback, & there view about the website or a specific website or a topic. It is good for the visitor to know what was others have experienced with the website or webpage. Visitors experience will different web places like News, shopping, blogs, corporate sites etc… Sidewiki entries will give more information to next visitor of that webpage. I think it will effects the comment of that webpage, more people will use Sidewiki than commenting on that web page. One can give feedback on the product page he has purchased at an ecommerce site. As a SEO, what could be its effect on webmasters, SEO, Internet marketers, how will people use it.

How to use Sidewiki, if you want to write on whole website than go to home page and click on sidewiki on google toolbar and start writing you review. If you want to write about a service, go to that web page, click on sidewiki & proceed. If you don’t agree with the one point in a webpage select that sentence or point and write sidewiki entry. During our European digital ambassadors meeting in Milan last week we spent two days exchanging notes on some of the cool new trends in the online space. These included augmented reality (digital car races on a pizza box anyone?) and Google Wave (collaborative computing that could be very useful indeed for all of us) among others. However, amongst the delights of the internet future to come one new tool stuck out that could prove to be a pain for both politicians and companies. It’s called Sidewiki and its brought to us – as with most cool things on the internet these days – by Google.

If you, like me, are new to Sidewiki here’s a brief overview that summises my understanding. It’s a tool you can add to your Google Toolbar on either Firefox or Internet Explorer, but strangely not Google’s Chrome. Users of the Sidewiki with a gmail account can choose to add commentary to webpages they are visiting. Commentary from individuals is pushed up to the top of the list depending on relevance and popularity (users can like or dislike). Despite the label ‘wiki’ it does not appear to have a group editing function to moderate spurious content.  Google acts as moderator for the comments and will take down comments that are flagges as inappropriate (fingers crossed). The commentary is held with Google, not on the website you’re visiting. Sounds neat. But think about it. Anyone with a Google account can tip up to your website and leave a comment for the world to see, over which you as the owner of the site have no control.

Back in our ultra modern hotel meeting room we were seeking to find an analogy for what this is like. Was it like parking your car on someone else’s front lawn? Perhaps not. After all users of Sidewiki don’t get to post their comments on your website as such. They are all on Google. Our thinking is that it is more akin to a stranger standing in front of your real estate holding a big sign that says that your house has dry rot and there are rats in the basement. Users of Sidewiki have the opportunity to picket any site they fancy.

A quick surf round some familiar sites underlines that, as yet, the use of Sidewiki is yet to catch on a big way. There are a few comments on http://www.number10.gov.uk but by no means a flood. But if it does, what could it mean?

Primarily, you can now challenge others on their turf.  Whichever side of an argument you’re on, now you have the opportunity to go to get your messages/facts directly placed next to the site of those whose argument you are seeking to challenge. And they can do pretty much nothing about it. Imagine an NGO challenging a company’s record on child labour. Now NGO activists can go straight to the website and point out where the corporate spin surpasses fact. Equally NGO group questions the safety of a company’s product? The company can go on the NGO site and directly challenge the science. Clearly tit for tat could ensue. This works both ways after all. But who has the most supporters and the guts to take this to its illogical extreme?

Of course, one could take an optimistic view. These Google folks have just come up with something that will allow us all to read what the community believes to be the truth on any website. Your MP has fiddled his expenses?  Post a link on Sidewiki so even if his party leader forgives him his constituents won’t forget about it. Has your MEP not showed up for months? A running commentary of his attendance record could be added to his sparkling new website. This could be a positive thing! Alas, those with the most extreme views tend to be the most persistent. What if all we get is the popular but wrong view? Nothing would seem to prevent this.

So what to do? Well for me at least, it would appear the only sensible thing to do would be to get in first and then manage the fall out as other join up. For example, others have commented that you can occupy your Sidewiki comments as the owner of the website. This would appear to be soon to become a must for any site. Finally, as Sidewiki commentary would appear to have an impact on search results, managing Sidewiki may become as important as managing Wikipedia. This is likely to be an ongoing process for anyone who cares about their online reputation.

Have you ever wondered how people get these buttons on their site?

I have been trying to figure that out for a while now. I really want to add it to my church’s website, and to any other sites we use – like Facebook, and others… if I can do that (will let you know).

Google Search Suggestions

Though I knew what I was looking for, I didn’t know what it was called. So, I made Google Search to do the work for me. I started by typing “how to” and let the drop-down of suggested results pop up. Then I added “share” to the search phrase, and after trying a few other phrases, typing one letter at a time to see what suggestions there were, I just went with “on social media” and got what I was looking for. Success!

Now, if you don’t understand what I just did, I wasn’t writing a long paragraph for my health. If you have never used Google Tool Bar to find something, I have just described how useful it can be when you aren’t even sure what key words to use in your search. What I realized is that there are a lot, and I mean lots of social media sites - which those in the know refer to as Web 2.0 sites which you can take advantage of to promote your church or nonprofit online.

Web 2.0 simply means the reinvention of the Internet with a focus on user driven content and promotion. Social media has revolutionized the way the Internet is used. No longer is it just a world where techie website administrators control all the content and delivery of information to the Web. Now the average user can take a page they like, share it with friends on other sites to create buzz.

In essence, the users of your website or blog advertise your content for you. The best part is that these people hold sway and influence over their friends who have email addresses and membership accounts also on social networking sites. The phrase “its not what you know but who you know” has finally been applied to the Internet.

When you create media and content that your visitors find useful or enjoy they will share it, and your visitor traffic will grow, thereby spreading your message.

Sidewiki è una applicazione per commentare pagine web recentemente distribuito da Google con la sua barra delle applicazioni, disponibile ad oggi per explorer e per firefox. Essa si aggiunge ai numerosi strumenti (tools) che il motore di ricerca mette a disposizione dei propri utenti, da gmail a  caledar, documents, feedreader, blogger, picasa, etc. e che tendono a costituire un ambiente integrato di  servizi non comunicante con altre applicazioni concorrenti con i servizi di Google, quali ad es. wodpress per i blog o flickr per le foto.

L’applicazione in se è molto funzionale. Attivando Sidewiki dal pulsante sulla barra delle applicazioni di google si apre sulla sinistra dello schermo un’area (analoga a quella di ReframeIt ma dalla parte opposta) in cui è possibile scrivere commenti alla pagina visualizzata sullo schermo.  La struttura dell’editor è uguale a quella di un post di blog e presenta un’area titolo e un’area testo. E’ possibile anche scrivere un commento ad una testo selezionato. Anche in presenza di commenti la pagina visualizzata sullo schermo è sempre nella forma originale, e per visualizzare le parti di testo a cui i vari commenti si riferiscono bisogna attivarli con un click del mouse. Come per altre applicazioni analoghe, la selezione di testo non funziona per le pagine pdf e manca pertanto uno strumento di annotazione e commento dei documenti pdf simile ad es. a foxit reader (che però va utilizzato solo  sul proprio computer).

Modifica e cancellazione dei commenti sono sempre possibili dalla pagina commentata e ogni commento può essere condiviso tramite invio per email dell’URL abbreviato (che riproduce la pagina con i commenti e le sottolineature) o tramite facebook e twitter.

Quando vi sono commenti ad una pagina compare sulla sinistra dello schermo una icona che apre l’area di Sidewiki. Analogamente a Searchwiki, con cui però non vi sarebbe alcun collegamento,  l’utente può indicare se il commento è utile o meno, oppure se si tratta di spam, contribuendo in tal modo a valutare i commenti. Vengono poi visualizzati per primi i commenti più votati, analogamente a come avviene in un altro sito abbastanza popolare, Digg che ambisce a selezionare il meglio della rete secondo le preferenze degli utenti mettendo sulla Home page per ogni categoria, i link ai siti più scelti (digg it) dagli utenti.

I propri commenti sono visualizzabili in sequenza nell’area del profilo utente (che, previa autorizzazione e a determinate condizioni, è consultabile pubblicamente) e possono essere condivisi tramite sottoscrizione dei relativi feed.

Sidewiki rispetto ad analoghi servizi non ha la funzionalità di ricerca dei commenti il che insieme alla visualizzazione nell’area personale fa pensare che la pubblicazione delle pagine commentate si debba realizzare oltre che con la pagina commentata, con strumenti integrati come Bookmarks, Blogger e Feedreader. L’icona di Bookmarks compare proprio accanto a Sidewiki nella barra delle applicazioni e la pubblicazione tramite blogger è immediata e senza intoppi.

Seberapa amankah data anda di Internet? pertanyaan yang hampir jarang sekali di pikirkan oleh pengguna awam Internet di Indonesia. Awal minggu ini dilaporkan bahwa sekelompok hacker telah berhasil mencuri lebih dari 10.000 password email account Hotmail.

Salah satu aksi hacker yang mengejutkan jika dikaitkan dengan perusahaan raksasa seperti Microsoft yang kebobolan. Jika sudah terjadi, apakah Microsoft yang salah atau si pemilik email yang ceroboh?

Tidak lama setelah kejadian ‘memalukan’ ini terhadap Microsoft kemudian Google mengkonfirmasi kepada BBC News bahwa email sistem mereka – Gmail telah menjadi target operasi pembobolan selanjutnya sebagai bagian dari aksi ‘phishing’ ini.

Sayangnya melihat kurangnya pemahaman akan hal ini membuat pencurian informasi melalui ‘phishing’ ini telah menjadi aksi yang terus mewabah di dunia maya. Banyaknya korban dilaporkan adalah para pengguna email dan internet banking.

‘Phishing’ adalah tindakan pencurian data informasi seseorang melalui halaman web palsu yang menyerupai halaman web sebenarnya yang bertujuan untuk mencuri account si pengguna. Menyerupai proses login awal ataupun melalui link untuk membuka suatu website.

Tidak ada yang akan merasa aman dari ‘Phishing’ jika kita tidak mengetahui cara kerja bagaimana hacker biasanya melakukannya, karena ‘Phishing’ sudah menjadi masalah global disarankan anda untuk lebih memperhatikan dengan seksama halaman dan tampilan website yang akan anda buka.

Berikut saya kumpulkan beberapa tips untuk menghindari ‘Phishing’ yang telah saya kumpulkan dari beberapa sumber.

1. Makin terkenal servis email yang akan anda gunakan, semakin besar pula lah kemungkinan anda menjadi target ‘phising. Jika anda menggunakan   Gmail, Hotmail, ataupun Yahoomail bukan tidak mungkin anda menjadi target, ungkapan yang sama seperti serangan virus yang lebih banyak terjadi pada windows komputer dibandingkan dengan macintosh komputer. Jadi pertimbangkan mengunakan servis email dari perusahaan yang belum begitu terkenal seperti Fastmail atau Tuffmail.
2. Gunakan password yang tidak umum. Hindari penggunaan password ‘password’ atau ‘tanggal lahir’, ‘nama lengkap’, dsb.
3. Sesering mungkin ganti password email anda, dan jangan bergantung pada satu email. Gunakanlah kurang lebih 2 atau 3 email.
4. Kurangi rasa keingintahuan akan membuka link yang terdapat pada isi email. Atau jika benar-benar butuh perhatikan dengan sangat seksama alamat URL yang tertera.
5. Download ‘toolbar’ yang berguna untuk membantu memberikan notifikasi bahwa kita sedang mengunjungi situs yang dicurigai ‘phishing’. Google Toolbar adalah salah satunya.
6. Gunakan antivirus yang mempunyai fitur ‘anti-phishing’, sehingga mereka dapat mendeteksi dan memberitahu bahwa kita sedang memasuki sebuah situs yang mereka curigai adalah situs ‘phishing’. Anti virus semacam ini biasanya mempunyai kumpulan database situs berbahaya untuk dikunjungi, dan mengupdatenya secara berkala. Salah satunya adalah antivirus McAfee Site Advisor.
7. Pelajari dengan seksama dan perhatikan dengan baik situs-situs yang biasa anda kunjungi secara berkala yang membutuhkan suatu login.

Google explains Sidewiki in an email:

“Sidewiki enables users who have installed Google Toolbar to contribute information alongside any page on the web, inside of a simple sidebar UI. This information, which can include text entries, links, and embedded videos, will be ranked by quality and community ratings. For instance, on a site about a specific beach town, a user could add a relevant YouTube video showing local attractions.

Once users opt in to the feature, theyll be able to view annotations contributed by other users within a browser sidebar, and can choose to hide the sidebar at any time. Google Sidewiki also wont change the appearance of any webpage ” all Sidewiki entries will be displayed only in the sidebar.”

Ако използвате Google за търсене на нещо , независимо дали търсите директно в Google , Google Toolbar или от друг сайт , вашия браузър запомня това ,след което при следващо подобно търсене Google предлага условия за търсене в интернет въз основа на първите няколко букви от предишни ваши търсения , с цел да ви спести малко време.
Това е много полезно , но ако компютърът не се използва само от вас и търсите нещо което не искате да го видят другите ? Ако искате да избегнете потенциално неудобно положение от предишните си търсения , може да изчистите тези думи.
Ето как ще стане това:
В горната част на който и да е браузтр се намира полето , наречено адресна лента.Тази лента следи историята на сърфирането ви, но тя не се поддържа от Google.За да махнете отметката от тази история на търсене , ще трябва да следвате инструкциите , според вашия браузър.

Saptamana trecuta a fost una mare pentru Google Toolbar: a lansat noul Google Toolbar cu Sidewiki pentru Internet Explorer şi Firefox, permiţându-ne să contribuim cu  informaţii utile la orice pagina de web. Cu noua versiune a Google Toolbar, traducerea cuvintelor si a paginilor web a devenit disponibil pentru Firefox, ceea ce face uşor de citit o pagină de Web într-o altă limbă, cu un singur clic.

Aţi avut vreodată nevoie să traduceţi pagini Web din alte limbi în română? Selectaţi „Traduceţi pagina în română” din meniul Traducere al Barei de instrumente pentru a vedea pagini din toate limbile acceptate de „Traduceţi pagina în română”.

Puteţi utiliza funcţia Translator cuvinte pentru a traduce cuvintele din limba engleză de pe o pagină Web în altă limbă. Selectaţi „Activaţi Translator cuvinte” din meniul Traducere, apoi este de ajuns să treceţi cursorul mouse-ului pe deasupra unui cuvânt în engleză pentru a-i vedea traducerea. Translator cuvinte acceptă traducerea din engleză în franceză, germană, italiană, spaniolă, rusă, chineză (tradiţională şi simplificată), japoneză şi coreeană.

Când vizitaţi o pagină Web într-o limbă diferită decât cea a Barei de instrumente, Bara de instrumente va afişa bara de traducere aproape de partea de sus a ferestrei browserului şi vă va întreba dacă doriţi să traduceţi pagina. Google a lansat o noua versiune de Google Toolbar pentru Firefox care iti permite sa traduci orice pagina web printr-un simplu click. De asemenea, Google a adaugat si type-in suggestion suport si linkuri sponzorizate pentru cautarile efectuate din toolbar. Aceasta functionalitate este sincronizata si cu modul Private Browsing din Firefox 3.5. Atunci cand aceasta optiune este activa, Google nu va inregistra istoria cautarilor, sau nu va activa SideWiki sau Web History.

Wozu brauch z.B. das Lammertal eine Webseite auf Chinesisch? – Braucht es eh nicht. Aber wenn doch, übersetzt die Übersetzungsfunktion in der Google Toolbar die Webseite nicht nur auf chinesisch sondern in mehr als 50 weitere Sprachen.

Weiß nicht, ob alle potentiellen Gäste die  Funktion schon kennen, vielleicht müsste man diese Hilfefunktion noch userfreundlich auf der eigenen Webseite integrieren.
Und als gelernter Tourismusmarketer möchte ich auch hinweisen, dass  aufgrund von Culture Code´s die reine Übersetzung einer Webseite nicht zur interkulturellen Kundenansprache ausre.

Google Sidewiki
Ein weiteres, neues Werkzeug von Google, mit dem man zu jeder Webseite Kommtentare abgeben kann.
Sind die Bewertungen auf diversen z.B: Hotelbewertungs-Plattformen meist von Gästen, die auch die entsprechende Leistung konsumiert haben, lädt Google Sidewiki Jedermann/frau ein, einen Kommentar direkt auf der besuchten Webseite abzugeben.

Empfehlenswert ist auf jedenfall sich gleich als “Owner” der Seite mit einem eigenen Sidewiki Eintrag vorzustellen. Google verspricht, diesen Eintrag als Erstes anzuzeigen.  Wie das geht ist hier sehr gut beschrieben>>>

Informationsbeschaffung ist im Tourismus längst kein linearer Prozess mehr, neben der eigenen Webseite und etablierten Branchenplattformen spielen die Google-Tools zunehmend eine Rolle.

Welche Gefahren sind damit verbunden? Aber auch: Welche Chancen bietet z.B. Google Sidewiki?
Und drittens: Welche Kompetenzen müssen zukünftig in Tourismusunternehmen zusätzlich aufgebaut werden?

I mostly use Firefox, and when I hit ctrl+T to open up a new window tab, I get the Google Toolbar window.  It now tells you which pages you visit most often and also notes the last few pages you’ve bookmarked.  Honestly, I’ve not really been paying any attention to it.  But today I stopped to read the page.

What’s funny is it abbreviated one of the pages I’d booked marked.  So I did a double take when it showed me that I’d bookmarked a page titled, “10 Great Tools for Tracking Men”…huh? I mean I’m single, but I’m not that desperate.  At least, not yet.

The page is actually titled 10 Great Tools for Tracking Mentions of Your Brand Across the Web.

Phew.

The last version of Google Toolbar includes a new tool called Sidewiki which could be a hot potato.

Sidewiki is a lateral bar which appears on your browser after installing Google Toolbar. This tool lets you comment about the website or content that you are viewing and also know what other people think about it. Very similar to Facebook’s wall.

But this tool could be a headache for Google and other websites because the author or owner from the website and content couldn’t regulate the comments on Sidewiky and this could start battles on courts.

Out of every expectation Sidewiki is incompatible with Chorme and is only available for Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox.

La última versión de Google Toolbar incluye una nueva herramienta llamada Sidewiki que seguramente dará mucho que hablar en las siguientes semanas.

Sidewiki es una barra lateral que se incrusta en el explorador y que está a la mano del usuario cada vez que consulta un sitio web. Dentro de esta barra los usuarios de internet puedan comentar sobre los contenidos de la página que visitan o en su defecto leer los comentarios que otros usuarios han dejado (Muy parecido al muro de Facebook).

La cuestión es que todos los comentarios escritos en Sidewiki se escapan de la regulación y moderación de los propietarios originales de los sitios y contenidos, pues es una aplicación externa que no es de su propiedad y que probablemente a varios provocará serios dolores de cabeza.

Cualquiera que tenga la última versión de Google Toolbar podrá ver los comentarios escritos por otros usuarios, pero para comentar necesitarán tener una cuenta de correo en Google.

Contrario a los que muchos imaginan, Sidewiki sólo está disponible para Internet Explorer y para FireFox, por lo cual todos los usuarios de Chrome se quedarán con las ganas de probar ésta herramienta a menos que estén dispuestos a regresar al navegador de antes.
