I hate when life gets so busy. Not because I hate being busy, quite the contrary. I live to be so busy that the hours fly by and days seem like minutes. It’s in my nature to not sit still for long. No, the reason I hate getting so busy, is that my little corner of the web gets ignored. And then, I get all kinds of guilty feeling, which only compounds with every day, and actually makes it harder to blog. Vicious, vicious cycle.

All right- now that I have had a stream of consciousness rant where I made a weak attempt to label my guilt, hereby hoping it will dissipate, I can move on. Or, something like that. I’m sure if I had paid better attention to my internet psychology lesson, that would have been better explained.

What have we been up to you may wonder? Well, let me tell you. As you know, from my last blog, my little sister Brittany was here last week. That, in itself is enough to keep me busy. Brittany is one of my top three favorite people to hang with. I never get tired of just sitting around with her and laughing at her teenage thinking. She is a hoot.

They say that as long as you are learning, then you never stop growing. Good thing, because I am the queen of learning things the hard way. For instance, lesson # one zillion and four: Wear bug spray when you go hiking in the woods during the summer. Because if you don’t you will be removing at least fifty or more ticks from your body, some in places that aren’t polite to mention in mixed company.

I saw Miss Muffet running in the distance.

On Friday, I had to take Brittany to Cajun Country and back in the morning. That was nine hours. Then, three hours on the road more to get to Memphis. LONG, long day. By the time we got to Tommy’s parents house, ate the awesome dinner his mom made us, sat and chatted for a bit, then got to go to bed- I was utterly exhausted. I slept like a rock that night.

Saturday, we journeyed out to the Memphis Botanic Garden, to see their new exhibit called “My Big Backyard”. My sister-in-law, Mary was the architect in charge of it. If any of you get the chance, I HIGHLY recommend going to see it. It is AMAZING. I’m not biased- it really is so cool.

Did I mention that it was hotter than the tenth level of hell that day? Like OH MY GOD MY FACE JUST MELTED OFF hot. Tommy and I had a party to go to after we left the Botanic Gardens, and no time to go back to the in-laws and freshen up. I knew I needed to, or else no one would be sitting near me that night. What to do? What to do?

Well, duh. There was only one logical thing to be done: the perfume counter at Macy’s.

Did I mention that it was tax-free holiday in Tennessee this past weekend? And that, everybody in the enitre city of Memphis was at the Oak Court Mall at 5:30 PM on Saturday evening? Holy hell- it was like Black Friday meets Christmas Eve in there. We managed to make our way through the swarms of back-to-school shoppers and get to the perfume counter. A few sprays later, I was smelling all spring fresh. We had a few minutes to kill before we needed to get to where we were going, and since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to drive past my grandparent’s old house.

Let me preface this before I go any further. This is the house I grew up in. The house I have wanted to grow old in my entire life, The house that six nights out of seven I have dreams about. In a nutshell- it is MY house. My grandparents built in in 1978 when I was a year old, and sold it in 2002 when I was 23. Since then, I have waited for the day to come when I could afford to buy it for myself.

Well guess what? It is on the market. And, it is priced fairly reasonably. Not what we could afford at Tommy’s current income, but most likely if he got a slightly higher paying position.

And I am DYING now, just knowing it is within my reach, but only slightly past my fingertips. I have spent every waking minute since learning it was on the market scheming of ways to get Tommy a job in Memphis that makes enough that we could get that house. Or, is that doesn’t work, my plan b involves wining the lottery. I think it’s feasible.

That night, we went to Bradley and Aileen’s place to celebrate their birthdays. We got to see lots of people we haven’t seen in a while. And, life lesson # twelve googleplex, seventy three million and two for me: Alcohol and I are not friends. I learned this lesson a long time ago, and yet, I keep getting cases of stupid-itis that always attack me in public, never when I am at home with just Tommy on some random Saturday night. No, I get dumb usually in front of large groups of people. If any of my friends are reading this, the next time I suddenly loose any sense that I may posses and think it would be a good idea to have an alcoholic beverage stronger than a wine cooler, you have my complete permission to slap the sense back into me. Seriously.

Other than me drinking too much, I had a fabulous time. Proof is in the pictures:

And, that’s it. I only have my day care kids for another week before school starts, so my blogging should pick up more in frequency then. Before those 180 days are up, Googlebot will have come by to crawl and index pages at the new domain and — voila! — your new site will be forever present in the only search engine that matters. It’s great to hear that at least one task is being simplified for overloaded SEOs, but Google’s convenient shortcut may have some unintended consequences. First of all, Google’s not the only search engine. Submitting your new domain through Google’s handy new tool is notgoing to affect the index of engines like Yahoo, Bing and Ask. (Rocket scientist here, I know.)

And second, while Google may be the big guy on campus today, that may not be the case tomorrow. Taking shortcuts can have a nasty habit of coming back to bite you. Just because Google’s created an easy domain-change-submission process, that shouldn’t be an excuse to ignore your responsibilities in optimizing a site for all the engines. After all, we’re talking about search engine optimization and not Google optimization. Although, GO would be a pretty catchy title…

Anyway, if you catch my drift and you want to make sure your new site’s sitting pretty with more than just Big G, check out this simple instructional on what to do after you’ve moved your site.

What to Do After Moving a Site

We recommend that all Web sites include an XML Sitemap. XML Sitemaps are used by search engines to find all the pages on a site. More information on XML Sitemaps guidelines and what XML Sitemaps are used for can be found in the SEO Newsletter archives. XML Sitemaps can be generated at http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/.

With your new site chilling until the search engines stop by, you’ll want to submit the new domain’s XML Sitemap to each engine according to its specific procedures. Now that I’ve explained what to do, here’s thehow.

Registro del dominio en Internet, selección de las cuentas de correo electrónico corporativas y definición del servidor dónde queremos que resida el proyecto, dependiendo de la capacidad técnica, del lenguaje de programación utilizado, del tráfico que vayamos a tener y del mantenimiento, el cual puede estar delegado, o bien, lo podemos hacer nosotros mismos con las claves del Panel Control y el acceso a una herramienta de gestión para manipular los contenidos.

Aprobación del desarrollo web por medio del envío de las pertinentes pruebas realizadas por el programador y reenviar las sugerencias, con el objeto de mejorar los detalles del diseño. Perfeccionar la base de datos y habilitar el formulario.

10 мифов “Железной Игры”

Мифы, мифы… Так уж получилось, что бодибилдинг, при всей его популярности, – один из самых огульно охаиваемых видов спорта.

Официальные средства массовой информации уделяют ему ничтожно мало внимания, что создает невиданный простор для разного рода сплетен, слухов и домыслов, которые подогревает и раздувает желтая пресса.

Так в общественном сознании порождаются мифы, которые крайне сложно развеять. Вот самые главные:

Мышцы не нужны.

Чего греха таить, у многих наших сограждан вид увешанного мышцами культуриста вызывает зачастую целую гамму отрицательных эмоций: от недоумения до плохо скрытого раздражения. “И зачем им все эти мышцы, бицепсы, трицепсы,” – твердят они, – ” нужно вырабатывать в себе качества, которые могут пригодиться в жизни – ту же выносливость, гибкость, наконец. А то надуются, как индюки, а какой с них толк?” Если говорить о спорте высших достижений, то почему-то в других видах, таких как тяжелая атлетика или толкание ядра, никогда не возникает вопросов, зачем они, собственно, нужны. Ну зачем, в самом деле, выбрасывать над головой снаряд в 200 кг? Для здоровья, что ли? Позвоночнику такая процедура уж точно не пойдет на пользу. Или к чему пробегать 100-метровку за 9,8 секунды? Чтобы успеть на автобус? Тем не менее, никто не сомневается в нужности и полезности той же тяжелой атлетики, и, когда в средствах массовой информации поднимаются вопросы, связанные с развитием того или иного, зачастую довольно экзотического вида спорта, выстраиваются длинные логические цепи типа: нужны средства на поездку сборной такой-то на такой-то чемпионат, чтобы было кого везти, надо открывать такие-то спортивные школы и т.д. Но никогда вопрос не ставится таким образом: зачем нужна тяжелая атлетика? И это правильно, поскольку спорт высших достижений – это, с одной стороны, демонстрация возможностей человеческого организма, а с другой – способ самовыражения. Одни день и ночь торчат перед “видиком”, другие собирают спичечные коробки, третьи поднимают штангу. Вот так-то. И это нормально. Другое дело, что уникальность бодибилдинга состоит в том, что, не замахиваясь на лавры чемпионов, тренируясь просто для себя, можно принести немало пользы собственному здоровью. Скажем, развитые мышцы низа спины позволят вам до преклонных лет сохранять стройную осанку, а крепкие мышцы живота уберегут от проблем с желудком и прочими внутренними органами. Регулярно занимаясь с отягощениями, вы укрепляете и тренируете сердечно-сосудистую и дыхательные системы. У культуристов почти не бывает остеохондрозов. Кое-кто скажет, что, дескать, слышал, что занятия с отягощениями ухудшают зрение и сдерживают рост. Полная ерунда! Вспомните Арнольда Шварценеггера. Он начал тренироваться в 14 лет, будучи ниже 180 см и, нарастив в последующие пять лет 45 кг мышц, умудрился вымахать до 187 см. А почти двухметровый гигант Лу Фериньо? А наш питерский чемпион Александр Федоров с ростом в 184 см? Они ведь тоже приобщились к работе с “железом” в подростковом возрасте. Что же касается зрения, то тренажерные залы вовсе не напоминают общества слепых. Да, здесь встречаются люди в очках, но, как правило, их проблемы со зрением не имеют ничего общего с бодибилдингом. В заключение данного вопроса хочу заметить, что здоровый внешний вид и крепкие мышцы придают вам дополнительную уверенность в собственных силах, делают вас в глазах окружающих победителем, а не неудачником, а все эти качества ох как нужны в наше непростое время “развивающегося капитализма”.

Сила есть – ума не надо.

Очень обидно слышать, когда культуристов называют тупыми животными с кругозором неандертальского человека, вся жизнь которых укладывается в схему ” еда-тренировки-сон”. Согласен, есть отдельные “экземпляры”, не слишком далеко ушедшие в своем развитии от жвачных животных, и очень жаль, что именно по ним рядовые обыватели судят о “качковской братии” в целом. Уверяю вас, что среди нас очень много по-настоящему умных, образованных, я бы даже сказал интеллигентных, людей. Вам нужны примеры? Пожалуйста. Если начать с вершин атлетического олимпа, то на языке тут же появляется имя того же Шварценеггера. В своей жизни “Австрийский Дуб” успел не только завоевать семь титулов “Мистер Олимпия”, но и получить экономическое образование, стать заядлым коллекционером произведений искусства, поработать советником президента по вопросам физической культуры и спорта и сделать карьеру в Голливуде. Да что там западные знаменитости! Многие наши российские спортсмены – Стас Бобин, Юрий Мельников, Юрий Панов, да и многие другие – очень эрудированные, всесторонне развитые люди, вовсе не зацикленные на одном культуризме. Общаться с ними – одно удовольствие. И вообще по-настоящему сильные спортсмены – настоящие доки в таких науках, как анатомия, физиология, химия, фармакология, диетология. Кстати, замечено, что когда атлета чересчур “заклинивает” на спорте, он, как правило, не становится большим чемпионом.

Культуристы – агрессивные монстры.

Некоторые атлеты, со стороны, действительно, выглядят несколько устрашающе, и некоторые западные издания, печатая соответствующие фото, усиливают это впечатление, за что неоднократно подвергались критике со стороны все того же Арнольда, например. На самом деле бодибилдеры – добрейшие люди, с очень устойчивой психикой, даже несколько флегматичные. И если, впервые посетив тренажерный зал, вы вдруг ловите на себе суровый взгляд какого-нибудь “качка”, то знайте, что он попросту не доверяет вам, ворча про себя: “Много перебывало вас тут таких.” Уверяю вас, если вы докажете ему свою преданность “железу”, вся его неприступность растает и он охотно будет делиться с вами своим бесценным опытом, страховать при выполнении упражнений, словом, станет вашим другом.

После окончания занятий все мышцы превращаются в жир.

Еще одно заблуждение! На примере многих сотен и тысяч занимающихся доказано, что после прекращения занятий с отягощениями человек, как правило, возвращается к тому типу сложения, который был предопределен для него природой. Изначально толстые люди вновь набирают свои “законные” килограммы, сухощавые – наоборот, катастрофически худеют. Конечно, здесь следует учесть еще несколько обстоятельств. Во-первых, следует сделать поправку на возраст. Как известно, с возрастом процесс обмена веществ замедляется, а потому, если вы начали “подкачиваться” в 20 лет, а “завязали” в 50, то вряд ли в конечном итоге обретете фигуру 30-летней давности. Впрочем, это правило касается тех людей, которые не дружат со спортом. Мышечная масса таких людей со временем деградирует, а, как известно, именно наличие мышечной ткани ускоряет обмен веществ. Мышц становится меньше, обмен замедляется, кушать мы продолжаем по привычке столько же. В итоге – при том же весе тела мы выглядим намного более толстыми. Во-вторых, далеко не все качки, забросив тренировки, могут легко отказаться от остальных связанных с этим занятием привычек. Например, сверхплотно питаться. Представьте себе: вы уже не тратите энергию в зале, но по привычке продолжаете набивать себя едой. Понятное дело, что довольно скоро вы раздуетесь, как дирижабль. Какой здесь выход? Либо продолжать тренироваться, либо все равно стараться вести активный образ жизни, выбрав какой-нибудь другой вид спорта.

Культуристы больны нарциссизмом.

Многих раздражает, что культуристы часто и долго крутятся перед зеркалом, словно барышни какие-то. А почему, собственно, и не полюбоваться на красоту, добытую ценой тяжелых усилий? Ну, а если серьезно, то нужно понимать, что зеркало для настоящего атлета – мерило его прогресса наряду с весами и сантиметровой лентой, причем, наиболее объективное. Именно зеркало наиболее правдиво скажет вам, что вы нарастили или же, наоборот, сбросили – жир или мышцы.

Культуристы – “голубые.”

Полный бред! Зачастую и в зал-то ребята приходят лишь для того, чтобы потом сводить девчонок с ума мужественной внешностью на пляжах и дискотеках. Конечно, бывают исключения из правил, но это уже – вопросы статистики. Что же касается настоящих “голубых”, которых тянет на культуристов, как пчел на мед, то их тоже можно понять. Уж они-то понимают толк в мужской красоте! Впрочем, это их проблемы. Лично я никогда не слышал, чтобы кто-нибудь из известных атлетов шел на контакты с этой братией.

Чтобы накачаться, надо сидеть на “химии”.

Стероиды и прочая “химия” в глазах общественного мнения считаются неотъемлемыми атрибутами тренировок культуриста. При этом почему-то никто не задумывается о том, что использование допинга – это проблема спорта высших достижений в целом. Обыватель свято верит в то, что накачать бицепс в 50 см просто так невозможно, в то время как, якобы, пробежать стометровку за 10 секунд вполне реально, сидя на щах да каше. Очевидно, что подобное мнение относительно культуристов бытует в силу того, что очень уж сильно они отличаются от среднестатистических индивидов. Однако если ваша цель – крепкое подтянутое тело, и вы вовсе не грезите чудовищными размерами, то ее можно добиться и без стероидов, тем более что сейчас издается масса методической литературы, подробно объясняющей, как правильно строить тренировки и диету, а полки специализированных магазинов завалены спортивным питанием.

Большинство культуристов – импотенты.

Этот миф в определенной степени связан с предыдущим, поскольку при слове “стероиды” почти тут же на ум обывателю приходит слово “импотенция”. Хочу заметить, что, хотя вследствие длительного злоупотребления стероидами, действительно, снижается выработка организмом собственного тестостерона, этот процесс обратим практически в 100% случаев, и через некоторое время после отказа от препаратов эндокринная система приходит в норму. Что же касается тех занимающихся, которые не употребляют никаких стероидов, а их абсолютное большинство, то их сексуальные возможности порой даже выше, чем у среднестатистического мужчины! Это связано, например, с тем, что у культуристов лучше развита система кровообращения, что благотворно влияет на потенцию. Кроме того, тренировки с “железом” подхлестывают выработку организмом собственного тестостерона! Конечно, бывает, что ударно прокачав ту или иную группу мышц парень едва доползает до дома и ему уже не до секса, но согласитесь, так бывает после любой тяжелой работы.

Надо постоянно сидеть на диете.

Конечно, успех в нашем спорте напрямую связан с правильным, сбалансированным питанием. Однако означает ли это, что “запрягшись” в повозку бодибилдинга, вы тем самым обрекаете себя на полуголодное существование и ваш удел до конца дней – яичные белки, вареные куриные грудки без кожи и рис? Вовсе нет! Конечно, тем, кто от природы склонен к полноте, нужно будет питаться достаточно осторожно, однако 1-2 “загрузочных” дня в неделю вполне себе можно позволить. Правда, во всем следует соблюдать меру. Что же касается тех, у кого обмен веществ в норме, то в стадии набора “массы” им можно практически все!

Занятия бодибилдингом делают женщин мужеподобными.

Если мужчины зачастую жалуются на то, что им никак не набрать вожделенную “массу”, то милые дамы почему-то как огня боятся “поздороветь”. Самое смешное заключается в том, что женский организм в гораздо меньшей степени предрасположен к наращиванию мускулатуры, так как вырабатывает ничтожное, по сравнению с мужским, количество тестостерона – гормона, отвечающего за развитие по мужскому признаку, в том числе и за рост мускулов. Так что перещеголять в этом отношении мужчин, дорогие девушки и женщины, вам все равно не удастся. А вот сделать свою фигуру подтянутой, стройной, где-то немножко убрать, где-то – чуть-чуть нарастить – вполне реально. И пусть вас не смущают фотографии чемпионок по культуризму – они сделаны, когда спортсменки с помощью специальной диеты и тренировок снизили до минимума жировую прослойку и вывели из под кожи воду. Уверяю вас, что это делается лишь для того, чтобы победить на соревнованиях – таковы законы жанра. Большую же часть года эти прекрасные женщины выглядят женственными и привлекательными, разве что немножечко большими.

Прочитав эту статью, тщательно взвесьте все “за” и “против” и сделайте выводы. Бодибилдинг – неотъемлемый атрибут культуры тела, без которой немыслима гармонично развитая личность, а вовсе не изобретение дьявола, как хочется кому-то представить. И если сейчас вы пока не созрели для того, чтобы взять в руки гантели, хочется верить, что теперь армия сторонников здорового образа жизни стала чуточку больше.
