As far as anybody I spoke to could remember this was the first time the Sisters of Mercy had played in Belfast; surprising given the reams of bands (Alternative/Indie or whatever you want to call them) who visited the city back in the 80s and early 90s, including the much more commercially friendly breakaway Sisters outfit ‘The Mission’ and regular touring partners ‘The Cult’, both of whom played to packed audiences in the Ulster Hall back in the day. 1,512 more words
