Halloween is only a week away, but even if you’re not celebrating this year, gothic glamour is a huge trend that can’t be ignored. Of course, gothic glamour is always a trend come autumn but this year more designers have jumped onto the gothic bandwagon than ever before. We expect it from Gareth Pugh and Givenchy even, but from Mulberry? That really was a turn-up for the books.

For those of us on a high-street budget, Topshop have come up trumps with their aptly-named new collection, Witching Hour. Topshop describes the new collection as “dark, brooding and full of bewitching charm, swathed in ebony cobwebs and delicate touches of Victorian lace. Combining slip dresses with heavily studded leather or frilly ankle socks complete with stomping brothel creepers; think gothic come seductive and dangerously rich in haunting prowess.” Many of the items are a little obvious with their skull and cobweb prints, but there are also a number of more subtle pieces amongst the collection, perfect for experimenting with your inner goth, whilst still looking sophisticated and ladylike.

Sweaters are usually a go-to item for Fall because they’re cozy and easy to match with. This year, try mixing your knits with a girly skirt or contrasting texture to spice it up.

Oversized Outerwear

This season you don’t have to sacrifice comfort or warmth for the sake of fashion. The overall silhouette is bulky, but the clean lines and detailing will keep your look feminine. Pair with heels for added shape and a clutch so there’s no hassle with the sleeves.

Baroque

Black and gold patterns, gorgeous embellishments, and detailed velvet create the perfect amount of drama for any occasion.

Winter White

Cool, creamy white ensembles are sophisticated and classic. If you’re afraid to be whited out from head to toe, choose one staple piece and accessorize around it.

Bright Geometric Prints

Geometric pattens can easily be mixed together without looking crazy. Try different colors, sizes of shapes and textures for endless possibilities.

Statement Fur

Fur is even more fun and glamorous in color! Rock a bright fur this Fall and you’re sure to have all eyes on you.

Oxblood Anything

Sultry, reddish-brown Oxblood is this season’s sexy color. It’s flattering on virtually all skin tones and can easily be dressed up or down.

Modern Orient

There’s a definite Asian influence in many designs for Fall. Between delicate floral prints, metallic accents and kimono style sleeves, there is something unique for everyone.

Graphic Eyeliner

Try something more bold with your eyes such as a double cat eye or thick, long lines. Be sure to keep the rest of your makeup very simple to maintain the focus on your eyes.

Slicked Back Strands

A neat part and supreme shine is simply elegant. This is a great option for second or even third day hair, plus it looks classy paired with a bold lip. Play around with different parts for a fresh look each time.

Deep Red Lips

Channel your inner temptress with a deep red lip. This gothic glam look is daring and beautiful when done right, so be mindful to choose a shade that works for you personally. If it’s too dark and contrasting to your skin tone you’ll lose the glam and just look goth.

But there are a tone of “goth glam” dark romantic fail in the editorials and I don’t want to talking about the street version…
Because if you are wearing a lace black set with red lipstick that is not unconditionally trendy, hot, or dramatic… easily can be a punk look…..but I ve seen trashy…
The questions are, how to wear and where? Most definitely do not even try to think to wear it on festivals….sorry just seen lately too much unbelievably ridiculous looks…! Mocking….

Personally I think this all looks good only with porcelain skin…paler =better!
Can you imagine these garments on tanned skin? Ewww…NO WAY!

Here are some of my favourite make-up looks from the AW12 catwalk.

There were some beautiful beautiful looks from gothic glamour,  to strong lips and shaded frosted white eyes.

I couldn’t miss out the hair for the McQueen show… absolutely amazinggg!!

I will be doing my very first make-up tutorial this week for you tube.. I’m sooo nervous about doing it, I hate the sound of my voice recorded so this will be interesting..hope you guys don’t ha!

Antlers have been cool for a while now, but only in designer-style homes. Now, they’re going mainstream. M&S has just revealed a huge, stunning, wooden stag head in its spring/summer 2010 collection, and Crown‘s newest young stencil designer, Bronwen Marshall, has produced a series of very cool antler stencils for The Stencil Library, if you prefer your bones 2D.

I’ve seen all kinds of antlers over the past few months. Elegant chrome ones at Next; sparkling Swarovski crystal-encrusted bling bling antlers on the walls of Whisky Mist nightclub;  colourful papier mache stag heads at Rockett St George…

PERKIN’ IT UP

Dorothy Perkins (available in Robinsons Galleria) will surely “rock” your with this punk-inspired collection GOTHIC ROCK Rock chick chic, skinny biker influences.  Victoria details, exposed hardwear, and lace prints are important to channel the goth rocker.  Heathered lilacs  and purples are are highlighted with tones of grey and jade and faux leather trousers, animal pri8nt evening tops, and studded detailing on dresses and tops create that bad girl yet stylish look.  The masculine styling of biker jackets is infused with pretty pastel prom dresses for the feminine touch.

ISN’T SHE LOVELY  A vintage-inspired story in peacock greens and inky hues is truly a feminine look with a modern edge.  Face-framing ruffles and pleat details are fundamental for this look.  Mixed fabrications add texture while watercolor florals dominate prints.  Key outfits include the paisley print smock dress teamed with berry opaque tights and the sheer floral chiffon blouse and tailored pencil skirt for a retro lady like feel.

GOTHIC GLAMOUR A punk-influenced story, with body-con styling and bold details in the form of exposed zips and ruffles.  Dip-dye and ombre effect print, abstract art and brushstroke-inspired prints appear on dresses and tops.  A bold color palette consists of lipstick pinks, vampish purples and dramatic black.  Key items include the pink ruffle dress with exposed zip details, structured little black dress and pencil skirts with a contemporary twists
