O χαμός που προκλήθηκε με την αποκάλυψη της Infinity Ward ότι το Modern Warfare 2 για PC δεν θα υποστηρίζει dedicated servers, δεν άφησε τους άλλους developers ασυγκίνητους. Μετά την DICE, και η Splash Damage έσπευσε να δηλώσει ότι το παιχνίδι της θα υποστηρίζει την χρήση dedicated servers, αντίθετα με το «μεγαθήριο» της IW.[next]

Собствениците на PSP конзоли вече могат да се сдобият с Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. Днес играта бе пусната в продажба в САЩ, а утре ще бъде налична и за европейците :) Графиката й прилича на тази на GTA 2, но все пак става въпрос за портативна конзола, а не за компютър. Като геймплей, поне доколко мога да преценя от видеотата, изглежда забавна. Някой ако вече я е пробвал може да сподели набързо впечатленията си.

In this new trailer for Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars on the PSP we can see how the 7 months from the DS version has made this port a very slick one indeed. Out for revenge shows how the 3D environments are sharper and the frame rate appears that little bit higher but still the characters have that comical swagger. We’re also shown how the mini games work when they were initially designed for a touch screen…and it looks good. Dragging items are replaced with simple button combinations with no doubt a little twiddling to be done on the analog stick. If you like what you see then Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars is out this friday for whichever PSP you may own – there are 4 of them now.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a GTA game specifically tailored for the Nintendo DS platform, and while the Nintendo DS may be the weakest current generation system in terms of hardware power, Rockstar doesn’t let that get in the way of producing one of the deepest and extremely fulfilling chapters in the Grand Theft Auto saga. Chinatown Wars actually has more in common with GTAs III and IV than it does with earlier games, and, remarkably, it even adds to and improves on the formula that made those games so successful. That’s a bold statement for sure, but Chinatown Wars really is that good.

Chinatown Wars opens with Huang Lee on his way to Liberty City to deliver a symbolic sword to his Uncle Kenny. Huang’s father, a Triad boss, was mysteriously slain and this sword must pass from his possession to his brother. Unfortunately for Huang, he’s ambushed upon arrival, his sword stolen, and he’s tossed for dead into the harbor. That’s where the player begins their Liberty City underworld career on the Nintendo DS. The story takes some bobs, weaves, twists and turns in the single-player campaign, and we’ll leave the surprises for you to discover on your own. No spoilers here.

What isn’t a spoiler is the gameplay: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is tried-and-true GTA design. Rockstar Leeds took nearly every aspect of the console design and jammed it into a Nintendo DS cartridge, tweaking the presentation to fit the restrictions and limitations of the Nintendo hardware. The camera returns to a top-down perspective in similar fashion to the classic Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2. It’s similar but it’s not the same: though the viewpoint is above the action, the visuals down below are nearly entirely 3D: buildings, cars, obstacles are fully rendered in 3D, and this is important to note because objects interact and react in the same way as they would in the latest renditions of the series: cars flip, jump and tumble if you’re a little wild on the gas pedal; light poles topple over into traffic. So while the game may take a different direction in the way it’s presented, the gameplay is entirely current-generation GTA.

it doesn’t feel like a scaled-down handheld version of a GTA game. Rather, it feels like a logical and somewhat experimental progression for the series, introducing a handful of great new features that seem destined to become standard in future iterations. And don’t let the art style or the presence of simple minigames fool you; Chinatown Wars is every bit as deserving of its mature rating as previous games. It’s also one of the best GTA games yet.

Hoy se ha publicado el primer tráiler de Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars para PSP desde que se anunció. El juego, que será una revisión del de Nintendo DS cuenta con nuevas características (por lo que se ve en el tráiler nuevos vehículos como un tanque o un helicóptero, nuevas partes de Liberty City, nueva música y los minijuegos se han adaptado a la fallta de pantalla táctil de la consola de Sony, entre otros).

El juego está fechado para el próximo 23 de Octubre.

A menos de la mitad de un mes que salga Grand Thef Auto Chinatown Wars al PSP, RockStar nos muestra este trailer del modo de juego y de la forma en que se an mejorado los gráficos.

Me gustaban mas el modo de juego en las entregas anteriores, ya que este es muy parecido al GTA 2, pero con graficas modernas, ya solo falta esperar hasta el 20 de Octubre a que salga, para probar este game. :P

Rockstar đã chính thức thông báo sản phẩm Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars sẽ được phát hành vào ngày 20/10 trên hệ máy PSP tại thị trường châu Mỹ và Nhật Bản.
 

Game thủ châu Âu sẽ có được sản phẩm này vào ba ngày sau đó. Trên các mạng xã hội như Twitter, Facebook cũng đồng loạt đưa tin ngày phát hành của sản phẩm được mong chờ nhất hiện nay trên hệ máy chơi game cầm tay. Chinatown Wars đã gần như làm điên đảo các fan của DS khi ra mắt vào đầu năm nay với doanh số tiêu thụ khá cao.


 
Ở phiên bản này Grand Theft Auto sẽ quay lại với phong cách cổ điển, vì Chinatown Wars sẽ sử dụng lại góc nhìn từ trên xuống giống như những phiên bản GTA đầu tiên phát hành cuối thập niên 90. Tuy nhiên, đồ họa của trò chơi vẫn 3D cách điệu theo kiểu ‘cel-shading’ hoạt hình. Vẫn lấy bối cảnh thành phố Liberty City quen thuộc của dòng game GTA, cốt truyện của Chinatown Wars nói về Huang Lee, một anh chàng tội phạm thuộc Hội Tam Hoàng có mối thù với băng đảng người Hàn Quốc ở khu phố Tàu. Về mặt cách chơi, GTA: Chinatown Wars vẫn trung thành với phong cách tự do và cho phép nhân vật chính “làm đủ trò” với hệ thống nhiệm vụ đa dạng và phong phú.

Rockstar Games have announced that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, from Rockstar Leeds, is coming to iPhone Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars iPhoneand iPod Touch later this year. The award winning game is making it’s way from the Nintendo DS to the PSP platform and now the iPhone & iPod Touch.

“Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple’s new gaming platforms.”

The game follows the story of Huang Lee, a young Triad who travels to Liberty City after the mysterious death of his father. Players will navigate their way through the streets as they uncover the truth behind an epic tale of crime and corruption within the Triad crime syndicate, delivering the unprecedented amount of depth that has become a true trademark of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

Πακέτο με τα God of War Ι & ΙΙ στο PS3 – Gameover.gr

Η Sony ανακοίνωσε ότι θα διατεθεί πακέτο με τα God of War και God of War II. Οι τίτλοι θα παρουσιάζονται βελτιωμένοι σε σχέση με τα πρωτότυπα, υποστηρίζοντας ανάλυση 720p και frame rate που αγγίζει τα 60 καρέ ανά δευτερόλεπτο. Επίσης θα γίνεται χρήση του φίλτρου anti-aliasing, ενώ θα υπάρχει και υποστήριξη για trophies.[next]

Ο Takayoshi Sato εργάζεται πάνω σε νέο τίτλο – Gameover.gr

Η Tale of Tales, γνωστή από το The Path, ανακοίνωσε ότι ο Takayoshi Sato, ο οποίος εργάστηκε πάνω στα μοντέλα των χαρακτήρων και τα GCI των δύο πρώτων Silent Hill, σχεδίασε τον κεντρικό χαρακτήρα του επόμενου παιχνιδιού της εταιρείας, με όνομα “Fatale”. Το Fatale βασίζεται στην ιστορία της Σαλώμης από τη Βίβλο, η οποία ζήτησε το κεφάλι του Ιωάννη του Βαπτιστή σαν αντάλλαγμα για το χορό των Επτά Πέπλων, αλλά και στη θεατρική διασκευή της ιστορίας από τον Oscar Wilde.[next]

Изненада, изненада… Rockstar Games са обявили, че доста добре приетата от критиците Nintendo DS играца ‘Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars’ ще цъфне и за iPhone и iPod Touch на есене. На спечелилите честито :P Ся ще видим могат ли хората на R да пишат за платформата на Apple ;)

Noticias y detalles del port de Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars de PSP.

Parece ser que se ha rediseñado desde cero para sacar jugo a las bondades gráficas de PSP, aprovechando toda su pantalla panorámica, así como mejoras de resolución, iluminación y de animación.

Dicen que todas las misiones de la historia serán nuevas (¿seguro?), y que estará disponible por descarga de PlayStation Network aparte del formato físico habitual.

La fecha de salida se fija para el día 20 de octubre. Unas imágenes del juego aquí.

A título personal, me estoy pasando este juego para DS, decir que es un puñetero vicio (si te gustan los GTA claro), y que aún con la mejora gráfica, creo que se va a resentir un poco el conjunto del juego por la perdida de la pantalla táctil, cuyo uso se exprime extremadamente bien en la portátil de Nintendo.

A Rockstar Games anunciou a data oficial de lçançamento de Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars para PSP, o jogo sairá dia 20 de Outubro. O anúncio oficial foi feito através do Twitter da produtora.

GTA CW foi lançado em Março no Nintendo DS e a Rockstar não nos disse muita coisa sobre o port do título para o PSP.

A Rockstar afirmou, quando o game foi anunciado para PSP em Junho, que o game será “especialmente feito para a plataforma PSP com gráficos melhorados em widescreen, iluminação e animações aprimoradas e com novas missões de história.”

O título estará disponível tanto em disco (UMD) quanto para download.

Στις 20/10 το Chinatown Wars του PSP – Gameover.gr

Η Rockstar ανακοίνωσε μέσω του Twitter ότι το GTA Chinatown Wars για το PlayStation Portable θα είναι διαθέσιμο από τις 20 Οκτωβρίου του τρέχοντος έτους. Παράλληλα όσοι επιθυμούν θα μπορούν να προμηθευτούν τον τίτλο μέσω της online υπηρεσίας της Sony, με την εταιρία να υπόσχεται ότι σύντομα θα παρουσιάσει νέο υλικό από την αναβαθμισμένη αυτή έκδοση.[next]
