Pago um copo a quem me mostrar uma música melhor do que esta, feita em 2009. “Havilah” é, provavelmente um, dos melhores álbuns rock deste ano e ainda a missa vai no adro no que toca a retrospectivas. Prestem atenção à letra. Estes “aussies” devem estar loucos!

- Michael Bradley, baixista da mítica banda punk norte-irlandesa The Undertones referindo-se à postura irreverente e “no rules” da banda que era apanágio, então, do vibrante som da época. Influenciados por uns The Jam, Buzzcocks ou SexPistols e inebriados por uma idílica anarquia no ar estes tipos simbolizam tudo o que o punk foi desde a glória extasiada até à decadência fadada. Música pela música, diversão pela diversão, DIY para sobreviver. Foram momentos encalhados num tempo que não volta atrás mas que teimosamente muitas bandas parecem não querer entender. Não sou anti-arte (antes pelo contrário), o meu negócio não é só divertir-me, suspeito até que não seja grande amante do canções simples – salvo algumas excepções – mas alguém tem de as fazer. Foi o meu elogio a um estilo que ainda não morreu.
