Pi Sigma Epsilon had their first potluck of the semester this past Sunday at Jonathan Woody’s apartment. The Beneke family hosted the current brothers and the new prospective class to a delicious meal of dino-nuggets and fries. There was a huge turn out at the potluck and it was a great way for the brothers and prospectives to get to know one another. The prospective class was eager to interview the brothers as part of the prospective member process, and the brothers could not wait to hear the questions they had come up with. Everyone is looking forward to the next potluck that will take place the Sunday after Spring Break. Stay tuned!!

Yesterday I got the itch really bad! No not THAT kind of itch, the itch to just do something different. The weather was warmer I think about 40ish so I decided to go biking. One thing I forgot is, while it was a bit warmer wind chill makes it a bunch colder! I did about 2.25 miles and could not even feel one of my fingers anymore. Wow though being down to 349 as opposed to over 400 makes a HUGE difference! I was able to do 2.25 in about 14 minutes, with 2.5 of that waiting to cross a street! I missed Katrina and really looking forward to being able to ride more!

The Big Boned Biker Rides again! Huzzah!

So the weekend begins with work on Friday. It was the slowest day of work of my life. It went by too

So the weekend begins with work on Friday. It was the slowest day of work of my life. It went by too slow. I ended up going to happy hour after work with some of the girls from work. Panama Joe’s in Long Beach has some of the best happy hour prices around. My friend came up from San Diego, so everyone got to see her at the bar. As 9pm rolled around, I was getting kind of tired and remember I was going to meet some other friends at another bar near my house at 11pm. I had enough time to go home and take a nap that was well needed. Several missed calls and texts later it was 12:30a and I was still asleep. However, I did fall asleep in my clothes that I wore earlier. So I hoped in my car at 12:35a and headed to the next bar! That is never like me to do something like that, but hey… it was Friday and the night was still young. Got to the bar at 12:45a and then had a couple drinks. I ended up learning again how small the lesbian world really is. Sometimes it’s too small, but I deal. So went back to my friend’s house. Didn’t fall asleep until 4am! That was a long night, but I had a blast.

Saturday woke up at 9:15a. Went to breakfast at Panera’s. They have really good bagels. Everything bagels are my favorite. No need for cream cheese either. I have this weird disliking for some white jelly substances like mayo, sour cream, cream cheese, and cottage cheese. I dislike all of those, expect for mayo with tuna and cream cheese on desserts. I know it sounds weird, but that’s just some food thing I can’t get past. So on with Saturday. I was supposed to go to Crystal Cove, my favorite beach spot in So Cal, with one of my roommates, but she has to plan her sister’s shot gun wedding for April. So I went to Crystal Cove with my friend. We thought about going in the water, but it was just a little too cold for my liking. I did manage to poke around at some sea anemones. I am a tactile sensory person, but I dislike the feel of those. So needless to say when I poked around at those, my face was pretty priceless. My body got a healthy dose of vitamin d that day. Ended up leaving around 4 or so because it started to get breezy down there so back home we went. We drove to and from on Pacific Coast Highway and I got some amazing shots down there. So home, showered and two hungry people went to a great Thai place in Long Beach called Star of Siam. We were seated in like the misfit island room. The table behind us were signing to each other. Then the table right next to us had two old men that sat at a six person table, on the same side with a chair in between them. It was very mafia style and weird. We could only laugh at the whole experience, but the food was pretty amazing. I would be up for going there again. Next time we have Thai food, it will be one of my favorite two places. It’s already been said. Then we decided to walk to a bar down the street, well we thought it was down the street. It ended up being a mile. She had a mimosa because I forgot there wasn’t a full bar and I had a pint of beer. Trying to drink that was the hardest thing in my day because I had been so full from dinner. So it was back to home and asleep by midnight. We were both exhausted from the day.

Sunday… Sunday was a mighty Sunday Funday. Got up early again for a breakfast brunch at 11am with the gals I went hiking with the previous weekend. We went for one of the girl’s birthdays which happens to be today… So Happy Birthday Lanette!! Hope you had a stellar weekend! We closed down the brunch buffet at 2pm. I think five of us killed at least six or seven bottles of champagne to go with the mimosas. It was a good breakfast and definitely got our money’s worth. Drove back home and decided to continue the Funday with stopping by Ralph’s and bought several bottles of champagne and juice. We opened and finished two bottles at home. So the Funday continued well into the night. We just chilled outside and listen to music and played with the kitties. It was a great way to end the weekend!

Enjoy the selected photos from the weekend!

So we were at Hickam Beach today which is on the south side of Hawaii. We chilled out and tanned ourselves. After listening to some great tunes on the good old iPod, I decided to take a swim in the clear bluey-green sea and played around with the waterproof camera. Yep, who would have known that playing around with a camera could be so much fun…

I’ve always been a sucker for PX goods. Ever since I could go out on my own, I remember spending a few minutes at the imported goods section of Victoria’s Supermart, ogling the six packs of Hershey’s choco (Oh the simple desires of childhood. I’ve since moved on from Hershey’s cookies and mint to Cadbury Turkish delight to Lindt truffles – although, this one, you can get mostly from airport shops – an elusiveness which makes me want it more ^^,) and the jars of cherries (where my strange habit of snacking on ingredients, as my brother refers to it, was probably born). If I wasn’t at Victoria’s, I was at Benguet Supermart and yes, I’m a statue in front of the PX rack again.

Lindt truffles, my beautiful (quick) melt (in your mouth AND your hand if you don’t pop it in fast) Christmas chocolate balls (“,)

As I grew older and cable made it possible to look further into the life that the US/other countries had (We just had a single channel on TV before – FEN-P…a great channel, the best channel, the only channel we ever needed. I miss you, Sesame Street at 3 p.m., Newton’s Apple, Cosby Show, Thundercats and a cartoon marathon on Saturdays), I remember feeling exactly the way Miranda did standing in front of a Krispy Kreme store dreaming of taking a bite or two out of the glazed donuts going their merry conveyor belt-like way (Sex and the City, season 5 episode 4). Only for me, I haven’t the foggiest notion what Krispy Kreme tasted like then. (Starbucks changed all that, didn’t it? =D After it opened its stores in the country, everyone else followed suit.)

Come in, they’re open! ^^,

My world continued to grow and I started spending hours at the CJH commissary. Let’s face it though, there’s more to imported goods besides chocolates…and giant bottles of shampoo. *heeharhar. There’s more of these (also, from other countries) to be found at a place called Corinthians Store (more popularly known as Mother Earth. Yup, they sell Mother Earth products here, and this store’s even more accessible).

The play being put on at the olympus highschool, the final play that will ever be veiwed on the origional olympus stage, excluding the upcoming musical, is quite a professionally done rendition of the classic, the great, jon jory’s pride and prejudise. Personally I think all in all this play is increadably well done. There were a few stumbles but they were hardly anything noticable to anyone who hasnt seen this play over a dozen times before today. The play its self is wonderful . The actors are profesional very very practiced in what they do and none of them broke charicture. Wich considering the actors are a crew of highschool students who have grown up in the melting pot we know as utah they are doing increadably well passing as the charictures of the 13th century. Whilst making the greatest use of their artistic lisence they have made it increadably entertaining I must say. In the respect of the play it’s self I now see it in a completely new light thanks to the students of olympus highschool.

February. It’s the most happening month in Baguio City \m/ (apart from the December holiday season when the City of Pines gets busy again with people coming up in the hopes of getting the xmas spirit, if only through the cool climate.) One of the biggest events this month is the PMA homecoming. Ten-hut!

(Welcome back, alumni! (“,))

Whether you’re part of this military family (immediate or through your dad/grandpa) reminiscing the good ole days or if you just want to try one of the styles for military dining, I’m talking about boodle fight dining (although at a more relaxed pace. …and no getting the food from a trash bin like GI Jane did, 28 minutes into the movie =b), march on to Kalapaw. ^^,

Any 3rd and 4th Saturday during the months of January through June, you may see a small bunch of characters stepped out of time. These chidlren are all enrollees in the Fort vancouver “Schools” for Youth Volunteers. They learn basic skills for thing slike carpentry, sewing, cooking, etc. Be sure to stop by sometime and ask these students some questions, be it about the program or some of the history of the Fort; you may be surprised what you learn.

We’ll get on to P3’s pre-Valentine dining experience at Bambenny, but first, let’s do a bit of reminiscing. *hihi

Bambenny Marcos Highway Revisited:

Race and I came to Baden Powell Hotel looking for Pizza Riccio in 2010. We ran into the owner who told us about the move, the new name and the mouthwatering pastas and pizzas he makes.

Welcome to Bambenny, Marcos Highway.

Pizza and pasta 2010, eat all you can pizza and pasta 2012 \m/

Note the disco era and comic-sy style establishment. The painting on the ceiling got me thinking of the “Shake It Groove Thing” song. (“,) I was particularly amused with their menu (the actual menu). Their offering was printed on a Monopoly game board. (Pass go now and collect food in your tummy! *hihi) For the first visit, we just got lasagna (ooey gooey with lots of cheese, lip-smacking good and heavy). We got their deep dish pizza to go so we could share it with our loved ones at home.

Pizzas (halves of Italian classic, meat lover’s paradise, deluxe cheese and Hawaiian and pastas (lasagna, aglio olio, pesto, carbonara and regular spag) ^^,

Next visit, the family tagged along and we tried their eat all you can pizza and pasta. The pastas were just okay, despite being a little bit undercooked. The pizza was deliciously heavy. Strange though, the Hawaiian pizza had no pineapple chunks in it but the Italian classic had them. Identity crisis? *snicker snicker.

Deep dish pizza….with my furry loved ones waiting to get a piece of it. (Check out our poodle’s wide eyed look, in contrast to – click here. *hihi)

Notice the ‘pan’. Bambenny wasn’t confident about this pizza being transport worthy so they put it in the pan. I appreciate it, guys! It ensured that I brought this home in one piece and boy, did we love every bit of it. ^^, Hooray for stringy cheese!

Back to the Present:

With Bambenny returning to its old home, Beth and Karla were pretty curious about the stuff they had to offer. So for our pre-Valentines meeting (before it gets crazy crowded in the city), this was the place to go. (It’s in town, too, so it’s easier to get to.)

Bambenny finding itself back in its original home. P3, all comfy and at home in the restaurant…and Karla knitting her brow at the Bambenny Monopoly menu (foldable now) because she didn’t know what to get. =b

Bambenny is a huge establishment especially if you consider the seating options – the section on the mezzanine/lobby of Baden Powell Hotel and the space from the entrance and even the walkway to Bambenny/the hotel itself. Karla mentioned that she felt the resto design was a little confused. It could pass for a pastry shop, a cafe and a mini disco (look to the ceiling and lo and behold, the disco ball). Essentially, this is a diner serving burgers, fries, shakes…aside from the pizza and pasta. (BTW, they also have stuff – stationery, caps, towelettes with cute packaging, etc. on display which I assume is also for sale. So they also look like a boutique for knickknacks. =D)

Lovers in Paris pasta (“,)

We had so many food items to choose from, so we went for the eat all you can pizza and pasta (just to get a taste of a whole lot more… or so we thought). The Lovers in Paris pasta was a hit for us… with a little sprinkling of salt. *hee (I didn’t get a photo of the pasta menu. I thought everything was listed on their makeshift placemats. I pocketed mine, only to find out when I got home that it just had the pizzas. =b Oopsie.) They also made good bread sticks (flavorful and cheesy).

P3 Valentines dinner date at Bambenny (Baden Powell Hotel). Kinda looks like we’re playing house. =)

For the pizza, we opted for half deluxe cheese and half Italian classic. Love how the cheese became crusty all over the dough! So the deluxe cheese was our favorite pizza for this visit. \m/ The Italian classic pizza still had chunks of pineapple in it. Hhmmm, curiouser and curiouser. It was nice that they toned it down with the dough, though. It was almost thin crust in comparison to the pizzas I had with my family. (More room for eating other dishes.)

Italian classic and deluxe cheese pizza. =D

Moving on to the (other) pasta dishes. Getting regular spaghetti a la carte, this comes wiz a meatball; in eat all you can, the spaghetti likes to be alone. These were still a bit undercooked but we finished them nonetheless. We had to. Bambenny has a ‘no leftover policy’. (…or was it just no sharing…whoa, my brain…affected by the carbs. =)))

The pastas (pesto – before and after tossing, carbonara, regular spaghetti) *oh yeah

Our pre-Valentines dinner of pizza and pasta eat-all-you-can went well. We had a lot to catch up on, you see. (So much so, we were the second group to arrive and the last group to leave the restaurant.) Last night, it was P3, a crusty cheesy (half) pizza, pasta called Lovers in Paris and Bambenny. A perfect Valentines dinner date! In this case, (two of) my Valentines are and will always be Beth and Karla.

Group hug!!! (“,)

As some of you know, I love being a photographer, but I am also a Pastry Chef* at one of the more prestigious restaurants in our area.

To celebrate my birthday last year, Tiffany took me on a cruise (my first time). Cruising was an amazing experience, but one of my favorite parts of the whole thing was “The Chef’s Table”; my brother, his now-fiancee, and Tiff bought me a seat for $75 to THE finest meal I have ever had. I highly recommend this experience to all of my foodie friends.

As part of the experience, we got to tour the galley and make a small batch of their famous “chocolate melting cake” in the kitchen… I never revealed that I worked in a kitchen until the 4 hour experience was almost finished, so everyone was very impressed with my whisking skills. I memorized the ingredients and method while we were preparing our batch, fully prepared to save the stolen recipe to my phone when I got the chance… Then Chef handed out sheets with “the” recipe typed up for us, it was clearly a different quantity than we had just prepared. I promptly let my mind forget all that I had just stored.

Alas, we get home, I whip out the first batch according to the typed instructions, and… LIQUID. I believe I was duped. I understand methods, trust me, but I believe that the quantities were altered in order to protect their secret recipe.

Think about it, if they “freely” offer their recipe, then who is going to R&D to figure it out? Nobody. Well, until now, I haven’t made these in almost a year, but I tried again tonight, and decided that I will crack this code by the end of the month.

The flavor is delicious, but the product is definitively different than what they serve on the ship. Until I get this figured out, I suppose I will have to enjoy the best chocolate sauce in the world.

* Most of you will find this uninteresting: I am just updating this to say that some of my co-workers are under the impression that the title of “Pastry Chef” is reserved for the station Chef. This is inaccurate in the Escoffier System, as there is no such thing as a “Pastry Cook”, we may refer to the pastry staff as pastry Chefs/ a pastry Chef. The differentiation between ourselves and the station Chef is “The” as in “The pastry Chef” vs. “A pastry Chef”.

Before anything else, let me wish you all a fruitful Year of the Snake. (“,)

In conjunction with the celebration, let us feature a restaurant that serves gastronomic delights; more specifically, the gratifying and flavorful dishes that the Chinese are known for.

Hai Dan Teahouse and Restaurant is one of the eating places serving Chinese food. They’re located at the Mile Hi Center in Camp John Hay.

Inside Hai Dan Teahouse and Restaurant. You get a view (a closer view) of the bridge that is beautiful in its decrepitness from the Hai Dan windows, too.

Just when you thought you’ll only be eating burgers, fries, banana splits and shakes for a meal in John Hay, (Although, there’s nothing wrong with burgers, fries, banana splits and shakes. I, for one, wouldn’t back out on a spread like that. *nomnomnom), it’s a little surprising to learn that you have the option of eating a satisfying meal of Chinese dishes.

(A welcome option for dining, too, I assume, when you’ve booked your stay at the Mile Hi Inn and you don’t want to go out of Camp John Hay or if you can’t get out of Camp John Hay. e.g. It’s past 7 p.m., it’s rainy, there are no taxis around, and you don’t have transportation of your own. =D)

Hai Dan millionaire’s rice. We feel rich already! Ka-Ching! =b

Arriving at Hai Dan a little past lunchtime, Race and I had the place to ourselves. As soon as our attendant handed us the menu (lots of foodstuff on this flimsy overused cardboard sheet, yeah!), we scanned it for a delicious fried rice mix first. Millionaire’s rice is what we settled for. (Soy sauce and calamansi to season and it’s a complete meal…for me. *hihi)

Race caught of glimpse of the words ‘lechon Macau’ on the menu. Oh, yes, he just had to have that. He’s on a self-imposed quest of finding the best lechon kawali/lechon kawali-like dishes and he found it in this one. ^^, I liked it, too! The meat was fried perfectly. Almost like Mentos, ‘crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside’, but for this dish, the skin was crunchy and the rest of the meat was tender. Dipped into the sauce or not, it was yummy either way. *cccrrrunch, chomp, chomp

In contrast to the meat, I needed some vegetables. The tofu in black bean sauce got my attention. After our attendant delivered the plate to our table, I took a spoonful of the black bean sauce. My, that was savory! Great texture for the tofu cubes as well. \m/ (Ahey, it’s Mentos-like again. *harhar Crunchy on the outside…soft on the inside.) The serving spoon for this plate went scrape, scrape all throughout the meal. We just had to get every bit and every drop of it.

Mango shakes for refreshments. =) (They’re taking a sip off each other. *hee)

For drinks, we couldn’t stay away from the shakes any longer. Luckily, the teahouse offered more than tea. We had refreshing glasses of fruity thick mango shake. Nothing Chinese-y about that, (I think. The Chinese drinks I had in mind went along the lines of ginseng, grass jelly, almond, etc. *hihi) but the mango shake did well enough. We didn’t even have to order dessert with the way Hai Dan blended the ripe mangoes up – a dessert sipped through a straw =).

The entrance to Hai Dan.

We liked everything we had in this meal so much, we just had to have Chinese food again the next day. We tried another resto (Lotus House) for a different take of the meat and tofu. (Two Chinese restaurants checked off our list! \m/)

X marks Hai Dan Teahouse and Restaurant for good food in Baguio. Sure enough, we’ll say hi to you again, Hai Dan! (“,)

(I’m so glad I was born and raised in Baguio City where I’m never away from fresh produce.)

Up to the 5th floor for OMG food! Here’s the OMG menu. So what are you having today? ^^,

One of the best places that you can get a good everything veggie (&fruity) meal is Oh My Gulay. Die hard vegetarian or no, they have a wide selection of dishes on their menu that’s surely going to hit the right spot in your tummy (as well as every part of your body =b).

Come in for healthy, yummy, veggie goodies! =D

Appetizers – check! (Next time, bulaklak tempura, you’re mine!)

Salad – that’s a given. =b

Sandwiches – check!

Meals to satisfy your hunger (and need for the nutritious) – check!

Mushroom onion crepe… more onions than mushroom in these rolls here but boy, were these onions good – almost caramelized. Sweeeeet! You might want to order up a few more plates of these to get super full, but why stop here when there are other dishes to choose from? Chili non carne is calling to me, and so is the house specialty rice. (In this visit, my sister and I were sitting near a table where some French nationals sat. It was so amusing to hear them say their orders to their attendant. “I want zee Oh My Gulay raizz.” Picture, Colette, the female chef in Ratatouille. Super cool accents! *hee) Eeeiii, excited for the next visit!

Drinks (hot and cold) and dessert – check, check and CHECK!

OMG panulak (drinks) – dayap iced tea and limonada, and mangga fresh (Bet this was made with lots of mangoes. I felt like I had a fibrous/hairy mango seed in my mouth with every sip. *hihi). OMG dessert – super sosy (crepe stuffed with peaches) Y-U-M!

If you’ve got an image of health food as the blandest and most unimaginative of meals, the offering from OMG will show you a different side to healthy eating. So scrumptious are Oh My Gulay foods, you wouldn’t miss meat in your meal. It’s possible that you might lose your taste for meat forever (or maybe just a few days…that’s a good enough deal). =D

Oh My Gulay is not only a great source for good healthy eats. It’s also a beautiful place, a classy place, an artsy place. Watering hole for vegans and artists? Nay, watering hole for everyone who wants to eat somewhere with an awesome ambiance!

Last night at the Morrissey pub, our awesome INTERNeX group gathered together to catch up, share some laughs, and have a few drinks. It was definitely great to see some people who we haven’t seen in awhile, and even some of the new members of our group made it! It was so much fun talking to them about what they have seen so far, their jobs, places they are going to see, and just listening to jokes and their stories.

If you haven’t been to the Morrissey, you really should! Last night was actually the very first time I was there. The atmosphere was really great and we were seated right near the fireplace! The Morrissey has a very vintage, strange yet modern spin to their decor. For example, there’s a small metal looking bicycle hanging down from the ceiling and a knight statue standing on the side (which I thought was a bit scary)! But I loved the beautiful chandelier which made the pub look so cozy

If you were missing in action last night, come with us to Cypress this Saturday for a day of skiing/snowboarding! There will be great prices and special events going on that weekend on Cypress since it’s Family Day long weekend! For more information please visit our Facebook event page and of course, don’t forget to join by this Friday!

Cheers,

And as you all should know by now, almost every Wednesday here in Canada, the land of awesomeness, is pub night. That means you get a drink in your hand and have a great time. Many of you might be hesitant…so here are some of the reasons why we think you should come out to our pub night this week at the Morrissey:

because it was a long day at work

it’s only the middle of the week, which means you still have a few days to go before the weekend

meet new people and make tons of cool friends!

the doctor recommended a shot of tequila and a pint of beer once a week

so you don’t get depressed

flirt with a girl

flirt with a guy

make great memories

get photographed by our PR team and get featured on our blogs

you need <del>a drink </del> drinks

Wasn’t convincing enough for you? Join us at our pub night this week at the Morrissey and we will give you even more reasons why you should be coming out to these awesome pub nights!

Having talked about some of the must try food in Baguio City in our previous blog, let’s now shift the topic to some of the scrumptious goodies we love so much from other places. (Namely Krispy Kreme and J.Co Donuts and Eriel’s silvanas. …been asked about these a number of times so here are the answers. =D)

Krispy Kreme and J.Co donuts are sold at the Barn Café on Engineer’s Hill (location click here). The selection might not be that varied but we’ll take what we can get rightie? (“,) Beats going all the way down to Angeles City (Marquee Mall for KK) or one of the malls in the capital city to satisfy a craving.

Krispy Kreme and J.Co donuts chilling in the Barn Cafe’s refrigerator. (“,)

Krispy Kreme is also for sale at Orange Café on Mabini Street. (I didn’t get to visit to that café yet, but my sister said they have a banner out in front that says they sell Krispy Kreme so you, donut mongers might want to check that place out, too.)

UPDATE 02/07/2013: Bought a half dozen box of Krispy Kreme from Orange Cafe, today! They also sell the donuts per piece and by the dozen. Oh yeah, right in town! \m/ Again, limited options, (I imagined getting the KK Valentines special donuts) but again, we take what we can get. *hihi

On the same street (after Jack’s Restaurant), there’s an optical or clinic that has has a sign up saying they also have KK donuts there.

UPDATE 02/22/2013: Krispy Kreme is also available at the Mister MilkTea booth across the street from SLU Main Gate. Look for the booth of Chubby Shawarma and behind it is Mister MilkTea. (Suddenly, KK is losing its appeal for me… *snicker snicker)

UPDATE 04/18/2012: Confirmed! Krispy Kreme IS sold at Porta Vaga, first floor, at the little candy store under the escalator.

Eriel’s silvanas in Baguio City, keeping with the theme of the month. =)

As for Eriel’s silvanas (the luscious silvanas one could only get from Eriel’s bakeshop in Munoz, Nueva Ecija and resold in the NE Pacific Mall, Cabanatuan years ago. Thanks, Ricky! Shout out to you and Joven! (“,)), you can get them from the store (I think it’s an optical shop *hee) on Session Road. It’s between Union Bank and the hole in the wall establishment selling load (beside Footstep). They’ve got other delicious-looking treats available, but I’ve got my eye on the silvanas.

UPDATE 04/18/2012: Krispy Kreme donuts are sold here now, too. (I feel an overkill and a saturated market coming on … *tee hee)

Cagayan Valley’s pride… ohhh, give me some, please! =b

All I need now is someone who sells Tuguegarao, Cagayan Alcala milk candy here. Someone…anyone from the Cagayan Valley (John and Hope)? (Shout out to you, too, guys!) Please (set up shop)? ^^,

Postscript Update: On the Quest for Brazo de Mercedes

I got a slice of (the elusive *heeharhar) brazo de Mercedes from Jen’s Restaurant on Diego Silang Street the same day we went for our serendipitous experience at My Serendipitea courtesy of Maam Iris.

Egg-y treat overload (especially the brazo filling) at Jen’s Restaurant. \m/ Not the airy fluffy consistency I wanted, but anyway. =))

Evidently, I didn’t get enough from that slice and so my …err, craving continued. I found out that bakeries like Red Cherries, Danes and French Line also serve this but not every day. (As per the French Line attendant, it’s better to place an order. She’s right. At least on the day you come for brazo, it’s going to be there. *hihi)

I couldn’t take it anymore so we went for the one at Goldilocks.

Brazo de Mercedes from Goldilock’s… it still wasn’t the airy fluffy roll I was looking for but then the filling had a hint of lime in it which I totally appreciated – countered the ‘malansa‘ egg flavor.

(I think brazo is always available at Red Ribbon, too, but I’m still boycotting the tree cutter/earth-baller who shall not be named in this blog. So that’s the end of that discussion. =b)

And that’s the end of the brazo craving discussion as well.

Moving on to other craveables like Ebai’s apple walnut cake or anything from Palaganas Bakery. I’ll get back to you on that soon. Till then, happy eating fellow “eatcentrics”! (“,)
