A smoke grenade is a container-type grenade, the device for various purposes, such as identification

A smoke grenade is a container-type grenade, the device for various purposes, such as identification, the ice is a device used for screening or signal. It is usually not fatal, but can still cause damage or injury, if he is mistaken. In paintball, smoke grenades are usually designed to produce smoke in bright colors, so you can smoke screens, which takes from three to 15 minutes. The smoke usually spreads over an area of 30,000 to 500,000 cubic metersFeet.

Types

There are two types of paintball smoke grenades used: the standard version and the type of flame. A standard smoke grenade can create smokescreens about 30,000 to 100,000 cubic meters of surface. This type of smoke produced from orange to last for a maximum of four minutes. Smoke grenade to blow a rule, you must manually extract the pins, if near the area where you are going to communicate with them.

On the other hand there is the flameTypes. This type of smoke grenades can be fired by the use of batteries, so you can do remotely. It is generally used as a smokescreen for a military or police and firefighters.

Buy Considerations

There are two main factors that you should consider the purchase of smoke grenades. The first is the period and the second is a smoker. You want to choose a paintball smoke grenade, the smoke that lasts longer able to produce. This is all the smoke can buytime to plan your next steps.

It 'also important to the grenade smoking area factor. If you play in a smaller range, you must use a product that is spreading smoke around 300,000 cubic meters. Larger fields are needed, of course, a smoke grenade that the smoke spread over a larger surface area as possible.

Blizzard as part of their five year anniversary has added the Nelf Mohawk grenade.

I have never been a soldier except in my childhood games. I have never pushed my physical endurance

I have never been a soldier except in my childhood games.
I have never pushed my physical endurance to the edge.
Only theorized about the forces of good and evil,
never confronted them face to face.
Never looked death in the eye
to determine whether I would blink.
Never had to ask myself whether I could pull the trigger,
to take a life.

Never had to test my metal in the face of the enemy.
Decide whether I could lay my body upon a grenade
so others might live,
discover whether I could subordinate myself to the good of all.

    - after having endured all this,
- killed for the greater good,
- saw friends expire in my arms,
- watched my duty commingle with evil
and worry whether I could tell the difference….

I was never left to wonder,
about the essence of my being,
and whether it all made any sense.

These things were never in my childhood imagination.
Battles were always won.

I never came home to a sleepless night.
Never dreamed myself in a cockroach infested
VA Hospital.
Never walked the streets
looking for a quarter for a cup of coffee.
Never envisioned a marriage
that would not survive the nightmares.
Never in my synapses
felt the presence of an arm that was not there.
Never felt ostracized by those
who lived back home in comfort and safety
when all I did was perform my duty
as well as any common man when put to the test.

Humbled now by those who lived these things.
In awe of what they have endured.
I salute their valor –

ashamed that all I have, are the war games of my mind.

Grenade!

My grandfather always told me not to wear my heart on my sleeve, for friendships are fleeting and gossamer, delicate pretty little things like wax that run their courses. Hopefully, you find at least one friend that you are willing to die for, and you suck that udder for all it’s worth – this becomes marriage. The rest are all – simply wicks that must burn out.

I might be taking my borrowed candle analogy a little too long; but, whenever we try to mesh ourselves with one another, ergo to form friendships; we sacrifice a little ‘wax’ – a little chunk of ourselves we loan to each and every relationship like an investment. Sometimes, we get our wax back, and sometimes, we just get scarred.

Where is this coming from, you may ask?
The long gone crush of my past; the girl that stood for everything I had and couldn’t keep – the girl that epitomized my failures – that girl walked up to me today. My god, what an awesome strut that was – she was a girl when I left her, and now, I swear to god, she is a fully fleshed out woman.
She said “Hi” awkwardly, I returned the response with the same air in which it was delivered. She made sure I was okay, I did likewise. By then, we were both absolutely sure that our friendship had run its course, but this was a fleeting gesture of humanity. It was nice, it didn’t fucking make my day, but it was gorgeously humane of both of us. The depths of the human heart are infinitely undefinable. The awkwardness reminded me that it wasn’t just me that was scarred, it was the both of us. We were both wounded, because our wick burned out far too soon and our hands were dripping with wax that wasn’t our own.

I digress.

I started reading one of Scott Fitzgerald’s works called Tender is the Night. It drips upper class angst, and it’s pretty brilliant. Scottie has always been one of the more introspective writers I’ve read; I’m on page 7, I’ll write a proper review once I’m done. I’ve read both This Side of Paradise and The Great Gatsby – I loved both immensely. The Great Gatsby however, was grand – it’s like reading something that has no apparent flaws – and knowing that you’re feeling everything Scott wants you to feel. It plays you like an organ, and the prose is so, so stylish and quotable. This Side of Paradise was a coming-of-age story, which I could relate to; failed escapades in love, the incessant search for status and wealth, and it is overall a small character story which is why I liked it much more than the the theatric Gatsby. It’s about discovering oneself, and weeding out what’s stopping you from getting what you want, and what’s actually YOU, and not the shit you’ve learned through the influence of the countless people you’ve grazed. In the case of protagonist Amory Blaine – it was his selfishness which by the end of This Side of Paradise, he came to vindicate and accept; if not love!

Tomorrow I have an all-day event at the local Church, some school function. Seems like I can probably get a couple of kicks out of it! Ha-ha!

In all seriousness though, I think it’s going to be a great way to spend a Friday, and a great bonding experience with the rest of the graduating class. Hopefully.

I keep finding this handful of people that seem to care about me no matter how much of an idiot I make of myself – and mind you these are not my family, or the long due friends, and I find myself rather surprised by their behaviour,if not entertained!
Track of the Day!

Great Scottish Indie-Rock band named after a medieval sex toy . . . I present to you, Arab Strap!

They form this genre called Slowcore, Sadcore, but it’s all Undefined Indie to me. I haven’t heard that much of them, but they have a badarse finale album called The Last Romance which I’m going to review later this month.

.

L’exemple des “superfruits”

.

Grenade, Goji, Acaï, Mangoustan, Noni, Mulberry, Noni, Yumberry …

.

.

Update, November 9: First of all, the body count should be updated to fourteen, as a pregnant woman

Update, November 9: First of all, the body count should be updated to fourteen, as a pregnant woman was killed, and her baby died with her.

Second, we now have confirmation that Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to contact the terrorist organization al-Qaeda. Just in case anyone was still wondering whether this guy was a terrorist.

Ft. Hood, Texas: a Muslim terrorist murdered 13 and wounded 31 unarmed soldiers today.

The moment I heard about this attack, I said to the group I was with, “You watch: the killers are going to be Muslims, and we’re going to be assured they aren’t terrorists.” And other than the fact that I thought there was more than one shooter, I was pretty much right as rain.

We find out that the guy had his “Islam” issues”:

At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

They had not determined for certain whether Hasan is the author of the posting, and a formal investigation had not been opened before the shooting, said law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the case.

One of the officials said late Thursday that federal search warrants were being drawn up to authorize the seizure of Hasan’s computer.

Retired Army Col. Terry Lee, who said he worked with Hasan, told Fox News that Hasan had hoped President Barack Obama would pull troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Lee said Hasan got into frequent arguments with others in the military who supported the wars, and had tried hard to prevent his pending deployment.

Hasan attended prayers regularly when he lived outside Washington, often in his Army uniform, said Faizul Khan, a former imam at a mosque Hasan attended in Silver Spring, Md. He said Hasan was a lifelong Muslim.

There is video of Hasan earlier in the day wearing Muslim dress.

Hasan was “hoping” for Obama’s “change,” and apparently couldn’t wait for Obama to deliver on all the appeasement and surrender-to-terrorists promises that he’d made.

Let me that, since Hasan did not see the difference between a suicide bomber and a soldier throwing himself on a grenade, I wish he’d just decided to throw himself on a grenade, instead.

I’m guessing he COULD tell the difference, after all.

We also find out from Hasan’s co-workers that Hasan loudly said that the “Muslims should stand up and fight against the aggressor.” They initially assumed he meant that Muslims should stand up and fight the terrorists like al-Qaeda. But he made it clear to them that he meant Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan should turn against their American allies and join the terrorists.

Hasan was objectively against the United States. Both vocally and in writing, he expressed Jihadist statements. He obtained weapons and murdered as many unarmed soldiers as he could. He is a terrorist.

If that isn’t enough, there’s this from the Los Angeles Times:

A witness has told investigators that the Army major who allegedly opened fire on his fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood Army Base Thursday shouted “Allahu Akbar” — Arabic for “God is Great” and the rallying cry of suicide bombers around the world — before unleashing his bloody assault that left 13 dead and 30 others wounded.

In a briefing with reporters this morning at the base, Col. John Rossi said, “We do have a witness who reported that.”

And this morning on NBC’s “Today” show, Lester Holt aired tape of the father of a soldier who said that his daughter told him the same thing.

For what it’s worth, experts in Arabic say that “Allah Akbar” doesn’t actually mean, “God is great.” It really means, “Allah is GREATER.”

The Qur’an says: “Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush” (Surah 9:5).

That’s worthy of mention, given the fact that Hasan was seen handing out Korans just prior to his lethal terrorist attack.

But don’t worry, people. Nothing to see here. Obama officials have scurried to assure everyone that this wasn’t a terrorist attack.

Right.

Let me tell you that one of the key ingredients of psychosis is maintaining false and fixed beliefs. And by that standard, the Obama White House and the mainstream media are nearly as psycho as Major Hasan.

This in actual fact amounts to the second successful terrorist attack against the United States by a Muslim extremist. Here’s a link to the first, which occurred in June. We’re told:

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 23, also known as Carlos Bledsoe, is charged with capital murder and 16 counts of terroristic acts.

According to the police reports, Muhammad admitted to shooting the victims, and then revealed how and why.

He told police that he put three weapons, including an assault rifle, into his SUV and then drove around until he saw the Recruiting Station and the two soldiers smoking outside the building.

He then pulled into the parking lot in front of the station, stopped his vehicle, and began shooting at the soldiers standing outside, firing several rounds from an SKS assault rifle with the intent of killing them. Muhammad also told officers that he would have killed more soldiers if they had been on the parking lot. Muhammad also told police he was a practicing Muslim, and that he was mad at the U.S. military because of what they had done to Muslims in the past.

That’s one more attack than President Bush suffered throughout his entire eight year presidency, you should know.

Of course, Bush learned his lesson, and then he taught the terrorists their lesson. Bush was surprised, and had to build a system to protect the nation from scratch. He created plenty of safeguards to defend the country from the next terrorist attack and got them up and running. But those days are long gone, as Obama knocked down most of those safeguards like lined-up dominoes.

We’ve had a whole mess of attempted terrorist attacks that were broken up between the two successful ones (see here and then here for others).

It seems that the doctrine that Obama’s sheer wonderfulness will stop Muslims from wanting to kill us has a few problems.

Weakness is provacative to jihadists. And Obama is so, so very weak.

In fact he’s a lot WORSE than weak, given his “response” to the murder of a dozen soldiers. Can you believe giving a “shout out” to supporters at an event AFTER he knew about the steadily increasing body count? What’s sad is, I can.

Now we are desperately trying to release our Gitmo detainees knowing full well that many of them will return to their terrorist activities to fight and kill American soldiers again. After all, Obama said he’d free these people. And it’s about time he kept at least one promise in his life, I suppose.

And as we ponder the horrendous murder of our unarmed soldiers at the hands of a psychiatrist-turned terrorist (remember the medical doctors in the U.K. who unleashed a terror attack?), we have to realize: our president actually tried to release terrorists suspects detained at Gitmo to the United States. The more the merrier, I suppose.

Obama ended “the war on terror” by redefining it as an “overseas contingency operation.” No matter, the terrorists are very much on a very different page than Obama.

It’s easy to say, as we have on this blog, that hate speech needs to be stopped in the realm of video games. Yet, if you listen to the recent podcast of According to Yu, you’ll notice that the word “gay” is used in a negative term by several of our guest panelists, and we did little to try and correct them. For this, you have our apologies. We’ll make sure that this doesn’t ever happen again on the blog or any subsequent podcast. We will be the first to admit that we are far from perfect when it comes to rejecting the part of our culture that alienates one group of people just because they’re not the “norm” (aka using gay in a negative term). We at According to Yu would like the community to know that we are one hundred percent in favor of gay rights. This is an issue that’s bigger than video games.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to leave a comment. We’d be more than happy to address them.

Now on to the main event…

The New Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Viral Video Controversy…was it hateful or are PC people full of it?

(That’s PC for “Politically Correct” people, not “Personal Computer” people.)

For those of you that played Call of Duty 4 imagine the following. You’re in a multiplayer game on Wetwork. You’re facing a team that has the following perks: Frag x3, Juggernaut, and Martyrdom. This is the worst nightmare of many of us Call of Duty players. There has been more than one occasion where I’ve seen “that player” and yelled into the mic, “Oh come on! Play the damn game!”

It’s grenade spam. Players that just throw random grenades whenever they spawn in and hope that it kills somebody. It happens all the time in CoD4 and it’s annoying as hell.

Infinity Ward (the developer of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) decided to connect with gamers who know all about “Grenade Spam” hoping to create some laughs and keep up interest for the upcoming MW2. Instead, they created a firestorm that’s created outrage and debate among many in the gaming community.

For those of you not in the loop, the video is below:

Catch the offensive part? If you didn’t it’s the end of the clip. The end of the video says “Brought to you by: Fight Against Grenade Spam.” The supposed organization, Fight Against Grenade Spam’s acronym is…well you can figure it out yourself (a derogatory term used for gay people).

Now, gamers will argue in defense of and against Infinity Ward until they die (or forget about it, which gamers tend to do). The first thing I’m sure gamers will argue about was the intention.

“OMG therez no wai that was intentional they’re just fighting against grinade spam lololol you PC idiots” – Immature Kotaku Commenter

And

“First of all, your spelling is wrong. If you’re going to make an argument I would appreciate it if you spell checked it first. Infinity Ward knew very well what they were doing. They were appealing to their mainstream audience. I for one, am disgusted at the direction Infinity Ward has taken with their new viral video and will be boycotting Modern Warfare 2″ – Pompous Kotaku Commenter

These aren’t actual comments. It’s just how I imagine a fight would happen on the comment section of Kotaku. Let’s get down to it. The truth of the matter is that we, the consumers, will NEVER know if the acronym spelling the derogatory term was intentional or not. They could have thought it was funny and thought no one would notice/care, or it could have just been an innocent mistake, not realizing that “Fight Against Grenade Spam” spelled out the word. If you’re going to argue for or against Infinity Ward on the message boards, don’t use the intention of Infinity Ward as the basis of your argument. You will never know what it was, no matter how much you assume.

The one thing I will say in defense of the “wtf guys ur blowing it up way outta proportion” Kotaku commenter: think about the way the video is presented (see above). The Phillies pitcher calls grenade spammers “puss***” and the fake PSA is paid for by “Fight Against Grenade Spam.” Wouldn’t this imply that “F***” are against grenade spam and the “puss***” that do it? Wouldn’t this imply that they are the good guys, trying to get rid of a noob practice? I’ve seen comments that have said that Infinity Ward is implying that Grenade Spammers are “puss***” and “f*s.” That doesn’t even make sense in the context. If you’re going to be insulted, be insulted that they’re using the word, but don’t create assumptions on faulty logic.

Regardless of intention, motive, etc. the fact remains that a controversy has been created. It sucks and there is no way any of us who weren’t involved in the creation of that viral video can judge Infinity Ward. It’s easy to say in retrospect that if the acronym was unintentional that someone should have “screened it out.” So far, I’ve shown this video to four of my friends and no one noticed that it was “F*GS.” I would have liked to see all these people complaining look at the video without reading articles on Kotaku or listening to Adam Sessler and seeing if they could have picked up that it was full of hate BEFORE they were informed it was full of hate.

That being said, Infinity Ward does have a responsibility to make sure things like this don’t happen. As I’ve said before, gay, women and minority gamers are constantly belittled and insulted on services like Xbox Live through great multiplayer games like the Call of Duty series. Whether intentional or not, I hope Infinity Ward has learned a lesson from this event and takes steps to ensure that gay gamers and others enjoy and feel welcome on their game.

Also, if you’re a gamer that utters hate words on Xbox Live, please think twice before you do it next time.

If you want to know more about my views of the responsibility of individual gamers, service providers and developers, see the blog post I linked to at the top of this one.

If you want to view another gamer’s opinion on the matter, check out Adam Sessler from X-Play. He’s got a lot to say on the issue as well.

These grenades cause fire whatever they hit to catch fire, so death is slightly delayed as the grenade itself does no damage. This grenade must be forged into multiplayer maps, as it does not usually appear on them.

This is pretty random but we felt worthy of the post for a few reasons. The first being that we like Grenade and have always had high hopes for their success, the second being the fact that the shoes weren’t all that impressive at first glance, and the third being that if anyone is experiencing a 600% increase in sales, its gotta mean good things for everyone. So here it is, Grenade has pre-sold more than 9,000 pairs of kicks for Spring 2010 and footwear has become the most successful part of their business. Who woulda thought? We’ll let you know what happens next. -The Rad Collector

Political correctness is running amok like a massive wildfire set by a pack of raving arsonists. And that wildfire claimed the lives of 14 people at Fort Hood, in addition to some 38 others who were wounded.

We find out things like this:

Danquah assumed the military’s chain of command knew about Hasan’s doubts, which had been known for more than a year to classmates at the Maryland graduate military medical program. His fellow students complained to the faculty about Hasan’s “anti-American propaganda,” but said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student kept officers from filing a formal complaint.

Of course, I myself am quite used to encountering “anti-American propaganda.” I watch the mainstream media.

Initially, the FBI wouldn’t even consider the possibility that Nidal Hasan was a terrorist. They immediately came out saying there “was no terrorism nexus” with a Muslim shooter who repeatedly shouted “Allahu Akbar!” as he fired more than 100 rounds at unarmed soldiers. A Muslim shooter whom they KNEW had tried to contact al-Qaeda.

ABC reported as follows:

ROBIN ROBERTS, ABC: We’re going to turn now to the attack at Fort Hood. Authorities are actively investigating whether the suspected gunman, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, had links to any terrorist organizations. Our chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross has learned that Hasan was most-likely trying to just do that, forge that kind of link?

BRIAN ROSS, ABC: Indeed, Robin. As Major Hasan’s road to increased radicalization becomes clearer, ABC News has learned that U.S. intelligence agencies became aware months ago that he was attempting to make contact with people connected to al Qaeda. Two American officials who have been briefed on classified information say it’s not known whether the military was ever told by the CIA or others that one of its majors was making efforts to communicate with figures under electronic surveillance by the U.S. Congress has now asked the CIA and other intelligence agencies to preserve all documents that relate to Hasan, as it appears a full investigation is now likely into whether the warning signs were missed.

Kind of makes you wonder just what you have to do to have the Obama administration call you a “terrorist” these days. Besides voting Republican or working at Fox News, I mean.

This is now the SECOND successful domestic terrorist-jihadist attack – Oops, I’m sorry, Domestic Contingency Operation – that the United States has suffered under the Obama administration. And there is little question that it will not be the last.

And even NBC reported that Obama’s reaction to it was just plain weird, in addition to being an example of “frightening insensitivity.” Among other things, Obama’s first words to the American people consisted in giving a “shout out” to a “Congressional Medal of Honor” winner who has never been awarded such an honor. Rather, President Obama HIMSELF awarded the guy a Medal of Freedom. Big diff – and you’d expect a one-tenth-way competent commander-in-chief to know that obvious difference.

And if that isn’t horrible enough, we find out that the Obama administration recruited Nidal Hasan – whom we now know was a terrorist – to write a propagandist ideological Department of Homeland Security report fearmongering “rightwing extremists.”

It should therefore come as no surprise that we find the Army chief-of-staff under Commander-in-Chief Obama being sent out to TV land to say that his greatest worry is some kind of backlash against Muslims, because God – I’m sorry for my intolerance - Allah forbid that ANY of them so much as get their feelings hurt as their community launches so many terror attacks worldwide that nobody even bothers to keep statistics any more.

Well, at least General Casey and his commander-in-chief aren’t worried about something silly, such as the fact that a bunch of his unarmed soldiers just got gunned down on their own base in the USA by a guy yelling “Allahu Akbar!”

Consider how politically correct the U.S. military has become under the Barack Hussein administration: this guy was actually promoted to major, in spite of the fact that he was telling his colleagues that infidels (that’s you and me) should die, and in spite of the fact that he was trying to contact al Qaeda to find out what he could do to help their cause.

Doug Ross at DirectorBlue located one of Hasan’s internet postings comparing a soldier diving on a grenade to save his buddies with a terrorist blowing himself up to kill non-Muslims (and, of course, “bad” Muslims):

There was a grenade thrown amongs [sic] a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally [sic] took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled [sic] this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair.

Here’s another “in his own words” take on Nidal Hasan available at NPR:

[DANIEL] ZWERDLING: Earlier today, I spoke to a psychiatrist who worked very closely with Hasan and knows him very well. And he said, you know, from the beginning -and Hasan was there for four years – the medical staff was very worried about this guy. He said the first thing is he’s cold, unfriendly. At least that’s who he came off. He did not do a good job as a psychiatrist in training, was repeatedly warned, you better shape up, or, you know, you’re going to be in trouble. Did badly in his classes, seemed disinterested. But second of all – and this is, perhaps, you know, more relevant. The psychiatrist says that he was very proud and upfront about being Muslim. And psychiatrist hastened to say, and nobody minded that. But he seemed almost belligerent about being Muslim, and he gave a lecture one day that really freaked a lot of doctors out.

They have grand rounds, right? They, you know, dozens of medical staff come into an auditorium, and somebody stands at the podium at the front and gives a lecture about some academic issue, you know, what drugs to prescribe for what condition. But instead of that, he – Hasan apparently gave a long lecture on the Koran and talked about how if you don’t believe, you are condemned to hell. Your head is cut off. You’re set on fire. Burning oil is burned down your throat.

The ironically funny thing is that Nidal Hassan – after enjoying the fruits of his million dollar education, anyway – ostensibly wanted out of the military. But because he was a protected member of the cherished liberal class, he couldn’t do anything that could actually offend anybody enough to kick him out. He could be professionally incompetent; he could tell his colleagues that they should die; he could try to indoctrinate returning veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq into radical Islam; he could post violent terrorist internet comments; he could actually try to contact al Qaeda. And it didn’t matter. Not only did he remain an officer and a “gentleman,” but he got PROMOTED.

This is rather like Montgomery Burns promoting Homer Simpson at the Springfield nuclear power plant. Only in this case, Homer Simpson is a raving jihadist terrorist as well as an incompetent buffoon.

The federal authorities knew all this prior to Nidal Hasan going out and buying an $1100 gun. Apparently, we have quite a few “Homers” in our ranks these days.

Don’t want to appear like you’re discriminating or anything.

After all, hasn’t Obama already apologized to our enemies enough as it already is? And hasn’t he apologized enough to the Muslim world? Do you want to give him something ELSE to feel that he should apologize for, such as yanking a Muslim radical out of the Army as a terrorist threat before he became a terrorist mass murderer?

Of course, had “Captain Hasan” been a white evangelical Christian who told his colleagues that openly declared gays shouldn’t be allowed to serve in the military, he would have been drummed out faster than you could say, “Out, damn’d spot!” And he certainly would NEVER have been allowed to become “Major Hasan.” Especially in Barack Obama’s Army.

Being politically correct is not merely a naive attempt to make people feel better; it’s a much larger, much more coordinated, and much more sinister effort to change Western culture as we know it. Progressives designed this game plan decades ago – following the previous success that Marxists enjoyed after employing the same stratagem – and liberals continue to execute the same game plan today: to shape the debate and control the argument by controlling the language. All they need to succeed is an oversensitive public that is ignorant of history and morality.

What may be most interesting of all is how liberalism becomes the useful idiot of jihadist terrorism, apart from that thing about liberals being “so open-minded their brains fall out.”

As just one of many examples of liberals brains having fallen out, how about the liberal view that Nidal Hasan was mentally ill rather than a terrorist? Because, as we all know, terrorists are the epitome of mental health, and being the former must therefore rule that latter out.

And yet here we have Evan Thomas, editor-at-large with Newsweek saying:

I cringe that he’s a Muslim. I mean, because it inflames all the fears. I think he’s probably just a nut case. But with that label attached to him, it will get the right wing going and it just — I mean these things are tragic, but that makes it much worse.

And again, we have this morally deranged Newsweek ideologue essentially saying that it’s those right wingers who are the REAL terrorists. We have a moral idiot burying his head in the sand while using every possible opportunity to demonize his political adversaries.

All of this is par for the course in the Brave New World of Barack Hussein.

This is a great time for a replay of an American Thinker article entitled, “Islam’s Useful Idiots.” It reads in part:

Islam enjoys a large and influential ally among the non—Muslims: A new generation of ‘Useful Idiots,’ the sort of people Lenin identified living in liberal democracies who furthered the work of communism. This new generation of Useful Idiots also lives in liberal democracies, but serves the cause of Islamofascism—another virulent form of totalitarian ideology.

Useful Idiots are naive, foolish, ignorant of facts, unrealistically idealistic, dreamers, willfully in denial or deceptive. They hail from the ranks of the chronically unhappy, the anarchists, the aspiring revolutionaries, the neurotics who are at war with life, the disaffected alienated from government, corporations, and just about any and all institutions of society. The Useful Idiot can be a billionaire, a movie star, an academe of renown, a politician, or from any other segment of the population.

Arguably, the most dangerous variant of the Useful Idiot is the ‘Politically Correct.’ He is the master practitioner of euphemism, hedging, doubletalk, and outright deception.

The Useful Idiot derives satisfaction from being anti—establishment. He finds perverse gratification in aiding the forces that aim to dismantle an existing order, whatever it may be: an order he neither approves of nor he feels he belongs to.

The Useful Idiot is conflicted and dishonest. He fails to look inside himself and discover the causes of his own problems and unhappiness while he readily enlists himself in causes that validate his distorted perception.

Understandably, it is easier to blame others and the outside world than to examine oneself with an eye to self—discovery and self—improvement. Furthermore, criticizing and complaining—liberal practices of the Useful Idiot—require little talent and energy. The Useful Idiot is a great armchair philosopher and ‘Monday Morning Quarterback.’

The Useful Idiot is not the same as a person who honestly has a different point of view. A society without honest and open differences of views is a dead society. Critical, different and fresh ideas are the life blood of a living society—the very anathema of autocracies where the official position is sacrosanct.

Even a ‘normal’ person spends a great deal more energy aiming to fix things out there than working to overcome his own flaws and shortcomings, or contribute positively to the larger society. People don’t like to take stock of what they are doing or not doing that is responsible for the conditions they disapprove.

But the Useful Idiot takes things much farther. The Useful Idiot, among other things, is a master practitioner of scapegoating. He assigns blame to others while absolving himself of responsibility, has a long handy list of candidates for blaming anything and everything, and by living a distorted life, he contributes to the ills of society.

The Useful Idiot may even engage in willful misinformation and deception when it suits him. Terms such as ‘Political Islam,’ or ‘Radical Islam,’ for instance, are contributions of the Useful Idiot. These terms do not even exist in the native parlance of Islam, simply because they are redundant. Islam, by its very nature and according to its charter—the Quran—is a radical political movement. It is the Useful Idiot who sanitizes Islam and misguides the populace by saying that the ‘real Islam’ constitutes the main body of the religion; and, that this main body is non—political and moderate.

And so here we are, “speculating” over whether a terrorist mass murderer is actually a “terrorist” (a now banned retranslation of the politically correct “Overseas Contintency Operation” that itself idiotically fails to understand that terrorists can come from right here, too.

Weakness is provocative, as Don Rumsfeld said. And boy oh boy are we ever “provocative” these days.

Do you want to hear the “politically incorrect” truth? We are at a crisis such as history has never before seen in the form of jihadist Islam. And we are making it far worse by burying our heads in the sand and refusing to recognize the dilemma until long after it is too late to do anything to address it.
