I was researching basic safety rules and laws for the various States as it relates to the sport of Personal Watercraft…Waverunners, Jet Skis, etc. since the season is soon upon us and on each of the several sites I looked at, one of the primary issues constantly was with the passenger and NOT the driver…specifically as to how and where to hold on during the very fast and bumpy ride over the waves at the river, the ocean or on the lake! Now…I knew this from the past and that’s why I developed the Grip-n-Ride H2O PWC passenger safety and comfort belt. The GnR H2O is a lightweight and stylish belt which consists of (2) two comfortable foam grips. It is worn over or under the PFD of the driver giving the passenger(s) an easy and safe place to hold on! It’s that simple and it’s perfect for the whole family including the little ones! Take a look at and purchase the much needed Grip-n-Ride H2O belt at grip-n-ride.com and RIDE TOGETHER!

Here’s the deal all you riders and passengers -

Whether you’re riding a cruiser, sport bike or Harley, the passenger pretty much has absolutely no place to safely and comfortably hold on. The solution is the Grip-n-Ride® belt worn by the driver which allows the passenger to sit upright and hold on to the patented comfort grips with “firm stay” located at the center of the drivers back. The belt can also be worn with the grips to the front for a more secure feeling at higher speeds. No longer is the need for a rider to wrap themselves around a driver and cling on for dear life!

After two years and countless prototypes (dozens to be exact), I have received amazing samples for my Grip-n-Ride Powersport Passenger safety and Comfort Belt! I should be able to finalize details next week and pull the trigger on an order from the factory. I’m excited to be able to finally bring the products into the marketplace…so many people and powersport businesses have been waiting for this launch. It will be a scramble, but I’ll try my best to get the product into some stores by the holidays and they will for sure be available for purchase at www.grip-n-ride.com.

In November of this year, I’m heading off to Milan, Italy (poor me) for the largest European Powersport Show put on every two years. I will attempt to show the European Community the benefits of the Grip-n-Ride belt in terms of safety and comfort for both the passenger and the driver.

It’s pretty humbling looking back quite a few years to realize that my calling was never in the financial field and being a “suit” as I had thought it was. I soon knew I wasn’t a 9 to 5 kind of guy simply grunting out a bit of work for someone or a company in exchange for a paycheck. The trick with creating ideas or thoughts for new, non existing products or services is in the follow through. Many people each and every day come up with great ideas for something and it quickly passes because they don’t know how to execute the overall plan. The concept for the Grip-n-Ride belt came to me one day a couple of years ago as I saw a passenger on a scooter with no place to hold on and he nearly fell off! A week later I was designing the first Grip-n-Ride belt in my home office, filed for a patent and had a local furniture upholsterer make a prototype for me…it was awful but I knew I had something! Fast forwarding to today, I should have the product in motorcycle, jet ski and snowmobile stores by April 2012.
