Noget som jeg måske ikke har gjort helt klart, er hvorfor jeg gerne vil på udveksling Med undtagelse af Explorius selvfølgelig, de interviewede mig jo om netop disse ting tilbage i september måned. Dem som kender mig ved selvfølgelig, at jeg er helt skudt i USA. Jeg elsker landet, som var det mit fædreland, og jeg har nu i et godt stykke tid foretrukket det engelske sprog frem for det danske.

Inden for den sidste måneds tid er mit udvekslingsophold i USA til næste år blevet officielt, og jeg har derfor endelig kunnet sige: “Jeg skal til USA næste år!”. Da jeg fortalte det til familie og venner blev alle selvfølgelig glade på mine vegne – men mange har også (nogle måske uden at vide) prøvet at lede mig væk fra udveksling. Nogle af mine venner har – med en let antydning af hån i stemmen – spurgt mig, hvad man dog kunne bruge et ophold i udlandet til, når det nu ikke talte for noget i ens videre uddannelse. Andre har forsøgt at give mig dårlig samvittighed over at forlade dem i et år. Men det meste af det er ved at være et stykke tid siden, så det har jeg for længst lagt bag mig. Min lillesøster bliver konfirmeret samme år, som jeg skal tilbringe i USA, og har også hørt en del for det – hvordan jeg dog kunne være ond at tage afsted etc. Men jeg vil og skal til USA næste år – den første rate af gebyret er indbetalt, og jeg har derfor pligt til at møde op i Kastrup lufthavn engang i august 2010. Ingen protester fra min side (;

Men hvorfor egentlig tage på udveksling til at starte med? Det har vel noget at gøre med, at jeg er en person, som gerne vil opleve noget nyt hver dag, og som hader ensformighed. Jeg vil gerne ud at opleve verden, og det gøres bedst ved at blive en del af landets hverdag – fuldstændig opslugt af kulturen. Den danske skole og dens hverdag keder mig, og jeg tror ikke det ville gøre det bedre, hvis jeg startede direkte på gymnasiet efter 9. klasse. Jeg har brug for noget adspredelse. Selvfølgelig elser jeg min familie og mine venner herhjemme, men nogle gange bliver livet lidt for forudsigeligt. Jeg trønger til at møde nye mennesker og udvide min horisont, og for mig er løsningen at blive udvekslingsstudent.

Der går ikke én dag, hvor jeg ikke glæder mig til mit udvekslingsår. Mine venner kan bekræfte dette, for jeg driver dem dagligt til vanvid med min USA-snak, som jeg er den eneste der finder interessant. Jeg skriver med flere udvekslingsstudenter, som skal rejse til USA med Explorius næste år. De fleste af dem er nordmænd, og håber på at kunne møde dem alle (eller i hvert fald de fleste) i på Soft-Landing Camp I New York! Skriver også med en canadier, som har gået på high school i USA, og som gerne vil på udveksling til Danmark næste år. Vi sender videoer og billeder frem og tilbage, samt skriver lange beskeder – er virkelig glad for at hun kontaktede mig

Bundespräsident Fischer nimmt zumindest indirekt Abschied von Neutralität und Südtirol. LISTE TIROL übt heftige Kritik am Zustand des Bundesheeres!

Wien, Innsbruck: Bemerkenswert bei der Ansprache von Bundespräsident Fischer zum österreichischen Staatsfeiertag waren weniger die von ihm hervorgehobenen österreichischen Grundwerte, als vielmehr die von ihm bewusst ausgesparten  Themen  wie Neutralität und Südtirol.

Fischer kritisierte die  Vorgänge der vergangenen Jahre ohne sich selbst den Spiegel vor Augen zu halten. Wo waren die mahnenden Worte des Herrn Bundespräsidenten am Beginn und während der Banken- und Wirtschaftskrise,  im Nachhinein, so Wechselberger, bedarf  es keiner präsidialen pro-forma-Kritik!  Wenn  der Bundespräsident betont, dass es keine perfekte Demokratie in Österreich gebe, dann darf er vor allem bei sich und seinen roten Genossen beginnen. Fischers Grundwertekatalog schließt zwar Frieden, Demokratie und Gerechtigkeit ein, aber die Neutralität und Südtirol blieben ausgespart, kritisiert der LISTE TIROL Politiker.
