<p>Sobre la base de una GSXR 750 del 2004. Joshua Hofhine ha elaborado esta de &#8220;cafe fighter&#8221;. Se jodió el motor pegándose en unas tandas en un circuto y la moto se tiró dos años en dique seco y Joshua fue vendiéndose las piezas.<!--more-->Al final sólo le quedaba el chasis y el basculante. Se agenció un motor de una amigo y empezó el proceso de contrucción de la &#8220;cafe fighter&#8221;. Filtro BMC, silenciador recortado de fibra de carbono Termignoni, faro de Harley V-Rod, etc</p>

<p>Aunque el tema es un poco viejuno, sigue siendo soprendente. Gente q mete motores de motos en coches. Por potencia no será las 600&#8217;s cc dan unos 100 hp, las 1000 cc 150+/-, la Hayabusa unos 175 i aún se puede tirar de turbo y nitro para llegar a los 700 hp como ha hecho algún sonao. Se montan cochecitos con motores de Kawa ZX-12, Honda CBR 900 RR, Yamaha R1, Ducati 999R&#8230; vaya q hay gustos pa todos los paladares.</p>
<p><!--more-->El Smartucki monta un motor de Suzuki GSXR-R 1000 con 180 hp. Su autor es Peter Bee. El tio empezó por potenciar el motor original hasta los 100hp, pero quería más. Ahora el smartuki aceleraba como un cohete i se ponía a más 200km/h +/-</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I have a thing for 80s bikes ( I was a teenager back then) and I have always looked upon the first Gsxr with some awe. I want one so bad I cant stand it, I keep looking for a pristine example and will find one someday. To me the 1986/7 Gsxr 750 is THE first super bike. Now some of you will argue and rightly so that it wasnt, that the GS1150ES might have been quicker or faster or that the KZ1000 was the first super bike, but Id have to argue back that the Gsxr changed all the rules.</p>
<p>Its hard to think of one bike that had a bigger impact on what we think of as a modern sports bike than the Gsxr does. The latest versions are awesome but they just dont have that edge that the first year or 2 had. I lust the most for limited edition single seater that came with the gold number plate on the tank. I sat on one once and could tell it was the stuff of dreams, my dad insisted I should get a smaller bike for my first ride so I got stuck with a Yamaha Seca 400&#8230;..an ok bike but not the Gsxr.</p>
<p>So now I&#8217;m 40 and looking for that perfect first gen Gsxr&#8230;the legend that started it all, I can remember reading the endless magazine test rides about that bike, I would read and re read them like some holy tome. I would stalk the magazine rack just looking for one more word on THE bike to have and then pounce on it and meld every word into my young speed riddled mind.</p>
<p>I had a stack of magazines 4 feet tall with just Gsxr info, test rides and general drooling. I will have one someday mark my words, If ya have an early Gsxr in good shape and dont want it send me a message.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>We&#8217;re on a bit of a go-kart kick today as we spent yesterday reviving and thrashing a Craigslist find 5hp kart for a family member. That little devil was a hoot to terrorize the neighborhood with and frankly, we&#8217;re now trolling seriously for either a kart chassis or mini-bike chassis to plunk the 8hp motor we have in our basement onto. That would give us a fun toy, not an insane death machine like the dudes in this video. A 750cc Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle engine on a go-kart chassis is crazy beyond our league.</p>
<p>Sure, right now you&#8217;re saying, &#8220;I&#8217;d drive it!&#8221; That&#8217;s all well and good but stuff happens toute quick on a normal racing kart. Not much warning when the ends feel like swapping. You&#8217;re &#8220;I&#8217;d drive it!&#8221; sentiment may be replaced with an, &#8220;Oh fiddlesticks!&#8221; When your tukus is careening backwards toward the guard rail or the woods. This thing and these guys are nuts. We love &#8216;em and we&#8217;d be keen to check it out in person. Just not in the drivers&#8217; seat. A man&#8217;s got to know his limitations.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I believe this is the latest model CB750 I&#8217;ve posted that&#8217;s been converted into a cafe racer. What&#8217;s interesting and nice about this bike is the addition of 2003 GSXR forks. I believe they came off a 600 since they aren&#8217;t male slider (USD) forks. Overall, a fairly unique build if just because of that. It also has a nice alternative speedo on it with the Vapor computer.</p>
<p>This bike is one of the more reasonable examples of the CB750 that has appeared on eBay. The Buy-It-Now is about $2,500, while the auction price is currently at $1,625 with 3 days left. Interesting bike&#8230;<br />

The seat goes well with the tank, it&#8217;s got reasonably sticky tires, clubman bars are fitted, and the pipe is a nicely upswept 4-into-1 piece of kit that has been blacked out.</p>
<p>But&#8230; it is still running standard position foot pegs. And it has the all-to-familiar flat black paint job.</p>
<p>Additionally, the seller is also selling a much more interesting Kawasaki drag bike, but the spelling in that listing looks like an offshore scammer trying to dump a stock-photo slathered GSXR1000. Weird, because this listing was written reasonably well by eBay standards.</p>
<p>Either bike from this seller is a decent buy if you can get past any trepidations you might have at the possible scammy implications of the writing in the drag bike listing. And I will admit that a nice revvy CB350F might be just the bike for me&#8230;</p>
