I try to manage my games to where I don’t have too many going at once, but somehow that never works out exactly like I think it will. Here are the games right now I’m actively playing:

Dragon Age
This game is amazing and is pretty much consuming all my gaming time. It’s a huge, huge game. It’s incredibly fun and rewarding and you just want to keep going and going. It’s hard to find a good spot to save and stop, as the most minor quests seem to be hours long. So far, according to Steam, I’ve logged about 35 hours with it so far.  You’ll see more posts about this game for sure.

GTA4: Stories from Liberty City
I picked this game up a few weeks ago and I haven’t given it the proper attention it deserves. I hadn’t downloaded the first downloadable content pack for the game – so when I heard that they were going to release both packs on one disc, I thought it would be time to get it. I’m going to start with Lost and the Damned and move on to the ballad of gay Tony once I finish. I don’t know the length, but I don’t think they’re too long. Once Dragon Age lets it’s claws out of me for a little while I’ll get back to this one.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
The fine folks at Gamefly sent this to me the other day and I was generally surprised how fun it is. If you’ve ever played a mario game in your life you know what you’re getting in to, but they did manage to make things a little differently. The graphics look pretty decent on the Wii – though it’s no HD gaming experience. Giantbomb did a great quick look on the game – and it pretty much sums up how much fun it is AND how crazy it gets when you play with others. I played with my wife and before long most of the conversation was: “Hey! watch it”, “Stop throwing me”, “aww, you let me fall in the lava”, “don’t jump on… oh c’mon now”. You’ll need patience to play with friends and family.

Recently, I picked up a copy of GTA4: Episodes from Liberty City.  The pack includes Grand Theft Auto 4’s newest DLC, The Ballad of Gay Tony.  After only playing a few missions, I have to say it’s pretty fun.  GTA4 has loosened up a bit and with mid-mission checkpoints the game is a lot more approachable.  I’m still getting used to the GTA4 car handling as I’ve been spoiled with Saint’s Row 2 (very fun game!) complete lack of realism.  I’ll give another report when I finish The Ballad of Gay Tony, but so far its all good times.

Grand Theft Auto IV returns with some brand new episodic content, the 2nd episode to be precise, and it is The Ballad of Gay Tony. This brings what you expect from GTA 4 and even more. The Lost and Damned was a great expansion to the series and even though it was 20 dollars, I believe you got your moneys worth. Well here we are with Ballad of Gay Tony and it is also 20 dollars. The first thing will be that it best for you if you are a story person to beat the actual game first and Lost and Damned before downloading the DLC, but if you don’t care then get it. The game has 26 main missions that will take you roughly 11 gameplay hours to complete.

You play as the business partner of Tony’s named Luis Lopez, your new protagonist. This game has a very lengthy storyline with loads of varied missions that never get old. There are new weapons, vehicles, music, games, and the ability to now replay the missions once you beat the game. You can now go golfing or if you are more adventurous, sky diving. This is definitely worth the 20 dollars and has a lot more content than some fully priced games. However, the graphics are starting to show its age and although they added some new multiplayer aspects, there isn’t much really new on that side. Overall though, this is what you have come to expect from the GTA series and I have to say that I still stick with the fact that all games should have DLC like this.

Pros:

+ Luis Lopez is a great protagonist

+ Lengthy storyline with loads of varied missions

+ New vehicles and weapons freshen up the familiar gameplay

+ Option to replay missions for leaderboard high scores once you beat the game

+ More new content than many full-priced games

- Visuals are starting to show their age

Making the list of top 10 games for pc 2008 was quite easy as I too had been making this list for myself so I could bring them and start playing. The reason was quite simple, I got a mean gaming CPU last summer and was excited to put it to test with the best of the games out there. So I thought why not sort out the list of top 10 games for pc: year 2008? I thought of looking up to Gamespot for the same reason as the source for this. Based on the rankings given by the Gamespot I’ve managed to bring this list. And I accept the list mainly because I’ve personally played more than 6 games in the list, and trust me; they are ALL AWESOME. So lets get started with the top 10 games for pc (2008).

10. Far Cry 2

Released on October 21, 2008, this game is a sequel to Far Cry 1. The first one had a lot of greenery and un countable mutants, but this time its a different story line and an entirely different arena to play in. The game is set in the deserts of Africa. You happen to have Malaria and are on a mission to capture a Notorious Drug dealer for which you’ll have to contact and earn reputation from many middle men. What sets Far Cry 2 apart from 1st part is its game play, there are hundreds of ways in which you can play a mission and tons of guns to play with. A cool feature is you can set the plants and grass on fire using a flame thrower and let the wind spread it and kill your target. You can even pull the bullets out of your arm and snap the bone. The assassination can be done during the nights to avoid attention and 24 hours day/night cycle is totally brilliant. Far Cry 2 scores really well in the case of graphics and game play and addiction. But it lets you down in the story line. What the heck! why do you need a story line to go bang the bad guy with a rocket launcher? Just get the gears and start pulling the trigger, the game is worth playing, and hence stands 10th among the top 10 games for pc in 2008.

9. Call of Duty: World at War

If you have spent your childhood playing arcade games like Contra, and if you have liked even 10% of earlier Call of Duty, I’m sure you’re gonna fall in love with this game. Gamespot gives COD world at war a staggering 8.5 ranking for all platforms. The game is just awesome. You begin as a soldier of Russian army and other armies one at a time unarmed and surrounded by enemies. You get saved by other soldiers and are given a weapon to enter into the battle. The game is fully mature and the guns and tanks are sure to sweep you off your feet. There are endless explosions and flash bombs which are made very very beautifully. The multiplayer in COD world at war still retains the gameplay from the COD modern warfare, so the ones who are used to the multiplayer gaming of COD modern warfare, then there would be lot more fun for them in COD world at war. COD world at war is the picturization of World war 2, and thus you’ll get weapons like Bayonet and Flamethrower with which you can burn down the Nazis . The game runs very smooth in any gaming rig and is sure to kill your precious time, so get addicted wisely. That was our 9th game among the top 10 pc games of 2008.

8. Left 4 Dead

Now for the people who wake up, brush, eat and sleep with Counter Strike, there is a game made with the same engine. Yeah! Left 4 Dead was made with the Counter Strike Engine and you can imagine that the game play has to be equivalent to it. What’s game all about? Zombies, zombies and loads of them. You’d be thrilled by the opening cinematic, cos that in itself can be turned into a great movie! You can play any character among the 4 given to you, and great thing is you get a chance to save your friends from zombies and don’t worry they’ll save you when you get too intimate with the zombies. The AI of zombies is very well written. Until you see them they’ll all be just standing in a corner humming the zombie song ( ) and as soon as you throw the flash light on them, all of them start rushing towards you! The game is hell of a fun to kill them all on a spree as the blood splashes across the floor and best part is you get to burn them with the Molotov’s. Yeah go play this game in the midnight and is no less than racing a car without a helmet!. Thats our 8th game in the TOP 10 PC GAMES OF 2008.

7. The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria

In the list of top ten pc games of 2008, we have a game for the people who always die to wear the ring and die again to keep it on their finger! yes! I’m talking about Lord of the Rings. As you might have guessed by now, LOTR online is an online multiplayer game which brings millions of people into a single virtual world. The great thing to talk about this game compared to other online games are the fact of how beautifully the worlds have been designed and decorated. You’d never get bored of exploring the lands of Moria because you can never get tired of beauty that has been put in the making of these beautiful maps. LOTR online has a great story line which will keep you gripped throughout the game and creating and using the legendary equipments in the game is absolute fun. The objectives in the missions that you take up keep varying and thus keeps the game compelling. You get to unhide thousands of treasures which then are necessary to level up in the game. LOTRO is fun to play as you never know when an Ogre might attack you from behind and you can get your hands dirty in battle. LOTRO Mines of Moria stands at the 7th place in the ten top games of 2008 for PC.

6. Crysis Warhead

Ok! Do I have to tell ANYTHING about this game? People went mad and haywire when they saw the trailer of Crysis! I mean I literally waited for this game to come out even though I knew very well I din’t haven had enough RAM to watch its HD trailer! With the advent of Crytek engine and some other cool physics integration, this game has shattered and found a new way of making games. I never imagined of cutting trees and killing eagles with my gun! And forget destroyable infrastructure and multi layered and ultra realistic explosions!. Crysis Warhead gets much better than Crysis with the escaped aliens on a flee all around the world and our dear Hero Nomad has to stop them all before they wipe the humanity out of the face of earth. The Nano suit gets even stronger in this game and you get to be nearly god like!. The considerable improvement has been in the AI of the aliens that keep floating above you. This time when you fight off the aliens, you are sure to get a chill. Crysis Warhead’s gameplay is similar to the earlier game but has added maps and play modes in the multiplayer mode. Crysis Warhead stands at a top 6th position among the top ten pc games of the year 2008.

5. Fallout 3

Now who doesn’t like the games of future? On the 5th position among the top 10 pc games of 2008, we have Fallout 3 from Bethesda Softworks. Set in the year of 2227, where world has seen many nuclear warfare and people are dwelling in the tunnels or vaults as they call it in the game, your task is to find your dad who has come out of vault into the open land. The most attracting part of the game is the scenery and the backdrop that is painted in the game. Washington DC’s post apocalyptic view is just mindblowingly brilliant. You’d see wastelands everywhere and you’d also encounter enemies spread across the land. The best part of the game is the fact that the player can choose as to how the game proceeds. Player can choose any destination to go and any mission to play. The game proceeds according to the choices made by the player. Bethesda has introduced VATS combat system which makes the first person experience even more realistic and intense. The freedom of choice means you can complete a mission in more than one ways. All in all Fallout 3 packs all the graphics and the gameplay that is required to glue you to the seats for next week. Go grab the 5th top among the top ten pc games of 2008.

4. Dead Space

Now if you were once horrified by playing Doom 3, then better don’t even think of playing this game. This game goes to be way way better than any first person or third person horror game. The story almost remains the same but its the game play and the graphics which makes all the difference. You are Isaac, an engineer who are supposed to repair the ship with which the earth has lost contact, and as soon as you get onto that ship you discover that something is utterly wrong. Infection has turned all the crew into monsters and they all want you to become one of them. So they start attacking you. The age old way of shooting the head to bring down the zombie might not work in this game, as you’d have to cut down the legs of the undead to bring it down. This kind of varied tactics for various creatures makes the game even more interesting. This makes it stand 4th among the top 10 pc games of 2008. Better thing about the game is the fact that there is no HUD elements to be seen, the Suit wore by Isaac acts as the HUD. The glowing spine indicates health and on need you can make him shoot out a 3d holograph which gives you even more details. All in all the game is really gripping and gruesome. It ain’t meant to be played by the weak hearted people.

3. World of Goo

For all those who were expecting a first person shooter or glass shattering racing game at the top 3rd position among the top ten pc games of 2008, you’d be disappointed. At this position we have a game whose installation is only 70mb big! World of Goo! Designed by only 2 people (mostly) This game surpasses all the limits that were enforced on a 2D game till date. Whats the game all about? Its only about connecting the dots and reaching a point. Now thats where all the fun lies, the structure that you make with goo balls wobbles and swings in an astonishingly realistic ways. The developers have used a combination of physics engine and open source graphics engine to bring you this visual treat. The game sounds are damn funny and you can actually enjoy that whenever you get hold of any goo ball. By the looks of the screenshots you might say yuck! But try solving one level of World of Goo and you’d know how beautifully the game is made. The game is also available for WII. If you have a mouse on your computer, then you should definitely give it a try!. That was our top 2nd pc game of 2008.

2. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Sometimes you just can’t get rid of the bests, when someone asks you what would be the best portable music player, you don’t have to think to answer “I-Pod”. Well, once again Blizzard Entertainment pushes their creation upon us and we rank it as the top 2nd best pc game of 2008. Wrath of Lich King expansion for WoW as the name suggests is about the Lich King being left free and unleashing his wrath. We always know that every other World of Warcraft is much better than the previous one, but how does this one stands aside from it previous ones? Lets see. Now when its the case of MMORPG games, especially in this case, there is nothing for the new players. So if at all you are entering the game now, you might say it all looks the same. Yes it will. The difference would be noticed by the players who have at least reached level 55. So if you are not at that level, probably this expansion might not do much to your gameplay. Added benefits here are the beautiful atmospheres and environments and the dungeons that are made available for everyone. Newest gameplay added is the Death Knight Class. Playing in the Death Knight Class is just brilliant. If you are a big time fan of World of Warcraft, then WOLK is not to be missed at any cost. Go give a try for the 2nd in the top 10 pc games of 2008.

1. GTA 4

I assume the end of the world or the end of the good is very near! Out of every million other game out there we choose Grand Theft Auto 4 as the top 1 among the top 10 games for pc 2008. Tell this to the fans of GTA and we’d be punched in the eye. Everyone who has played GTA knows how good every other GTA game is, ever since the GTA1, there has just been a constant innovation in every other release of the game. And as good as GTA San Andreas was, GTA 4 scores even better. Now when this game was released people slept, ate, slept, ate and slept in the queue to grab a copy of it. The number of sales on the first day of release has made a Guinness record. For the good part of the game, you get to play as Niko Bellic who comes to the Liberty City to meet his cousin and to find a person whom he has been searching since a long time and gets himself trapped in an un ending series of crimes. The graphics is breath taking compared to other GTA releases and you have more control of the character this time. The physics is brilliant in case of characters and vehicles too. Day night cycles are very beautifully made and the gun battles take a different height and can compete well enough with any third person shooter game out there. Although it requires a lot of resources on PC, but it still needs to be given a try. I’d rather suggest to go get GTA and play it on PS 3 as the porting from PS3 to PC isn’t that bug free. But if you do have a gaming rig, then Man!!! If you don’t have this game on your PC, You could’ve given that money to charity!

So I received 1600MSP the other day and now I wait, and I wait, and I wait, and I try not to spend those points on my avatar’s clothes(I’m addicted sorry). On October 29th, I’ll download the DLC and bring you an exclusive Video Review of the game.

So until then, let me introduce you to the man you’ll be playing as in BoGT, Luis Lopez.

Fridays are a notoriously slow day in the Newsquest offices, so here’s a couple of things to lighten up your day if you’re as bored as I am.

First, here’s my review of Blood Bowl, a very strange little game which plays like cross between American Football and Gladiators. And here’s my review of the PC version of Red Faction Guerilla, which is just as much explodingly-good fun as the Xbox version, with the added bonus of the multiplayer not being entirely clogged with five-year-old whining and amazingly racist Americans. Both are online at Gameslave.

And, just to add a little icing on the cake, check this out- In my review of Grand Theft Auto 4 I bemoaned the lack of parachutes, base jumping, aircraft and the happy-go-lucky tone of the earlier games, so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw this:

“Z Games, so extreme we’re at the end of the alphabet!”

You may think that playing Grand Theft Auto 4 online is a good way of bonding with people; but think again, as this horrifying tale of humanity laid bare will change your outlook of online play forever.

After a hard day of fighting with your co-workers, there’s nothing better than a cup of tea, a fish-finger sandwich and a rage reducing blast of Grand Theft Auto 4. Not that I go on there to kill pedestrians aimlessly, well……not every night. No, after a day of feeling isolated and alone, working against a horde of backstabbing, two faced co-workers, I like to play one of the online co-op missions GTA4 has to offer. Nothing makes you feel more loved and appreciated than working towards a common goal (usually involving mass killing) with a group of like minded people. Sharing the load, watching each others backs, helping out in times of need; this is what a co-op mission is all about, and why it’s the perfect antidote to a bad day.

But sometimes, even in the computer-generated world where you’d imagine you’d be safe from harm, the real world can creep up from behind and bite your innocent bum, usually when you least expect it. Let me explain, with my emotionally charged tale of passion and woe.

To set the scene, I was playing GTA4 online, taking part in a cooperative mission called, Hangman’s Noose. In this particular mission, you and your team have to transport a Mafia boss safely from the Airport, to a safe house on the other side of Liberty City. All the while, you’ll be hunted down by the local police and S.W.A.T. teams, as they try and stop you and your precious cargo from evading their grasp.

The first stage of the mission takes place on the airport landing strip. Before the Mafia boss can safely leave his plane, you’ll need to secure the area and get hold of a vehicle to escort him off the premises. So, as a team, four of us stood guard around the plane while the fifth went to get a vehicle; a nearby helicopter. Now the fun starts, and the bonding between us online players begins.

From the distance, a never ending swarm of heavily armed S.W.A.T. teams approach, ready for a fight. On one’s own, this would be an almost inescapable foe, but as a team of brothers-in-arms, standing shoulder to shoulder and prepared to die in sake of each other, this puny army is no match. We fire as one, gunning down wave after wave of enemy, protecting each other as an unbreakable team. At one point, a member of our team was caught unawares from behind by an enemy S.W.A.T., and before he had time to turn and shoot, be was knocked to the floor and staring death in the face. But in our team, no man is left behind, and just before the S.W.A.T. pulled the trigger, condemning my brother to a hero’s death (until he could re-spawn anyway) I took aim, and with one shot, took my enemy down. As my team mate got up, he said to me over the radio two words I’ll never forget, ‘Thanks mate’. I single tear rolled down my cheek; I’d never felt so close to anyone in my life. But this was no time for tears, we still had a mission to accomplish, and by god we were going to complete it.

By now we were running low on ammo, and the almost unstoppable river of enemies just kept on ploughing towards us. But we did not back away, we stood our ground and kept firing; all for one and one for all. Just then our fifth team-mate came back from his mission, and flew into the heart of the battle with his helicopter, shouting ‘Get on, now!’ One by one we boarded the helicopter with our precious Mafia boss, as the rest of us continued to empty the last of our ammo, doing everything in our power to protect each other. I said I’d go last, and although my health was almost gone, I would rather die than allow my team mates to fall to a similar fate. As the last man climbed aboard our ride to freedom, I knew our mission would soon be at an end, and I’d be able to join my new found friends in warm celebration. But as I turned around to leap aboard the helicopter, it was gone.

I looked up; it had taken off without me. Maybe my team mates, in all the confusion and gunfire, had just forgotten me? So I shouted ‘Wait for me!’, but they continued to climb. I heard a team mate shout in desperation ‘There’s still a man down there!’, but yet they did not stop. Then I heard something that I will never forget. A voice so chilling and evil that I can’t help but shiver at even the slightest recollection of it. A girl, no older than eight, came on the radio and giggled, ‘Just leave it, forget about him’. My heart stopped. What had just happened? My friends, my brothers, had just abandoned me. I was alone.

I stood and watched as the men I had stood shoulder to shoulder with, who I had put my life on the line for, flew away and left me for dead. What made it doubly worse was that I could hear them laughing over the radio. As there cackles echoed though my bleeding soul, a bullet struck me, knocking me to the ground and ending my misery. With my last breath, I whispered ‘Whhhhyyyyyy?’ into the radio, but there was no response, only more laughter and teasing.

Till this day, I haven’t been able to even look at a copy of GTA4, and my trust in my fellow man has been shattered. Let this tragic tale be a lesson to you, that even in the world of online computer games, people are still bastards. I will have my revenge!

After a few days battling Captain Tripps, I was able to jump on XBox Live today and check out some of the new game trailers that are up. One of the great things about Live is having all the options at your beck and call. A lot of people like to harp on Live because of the yearly cost, as opposed to PSN being free. (Disclaimer: If I could afford a PS3, I would have one. It is an awesome system with great games [Uncharted, MGS, LPB, etc.] I hope this will alleviate the “MS Fanboy” sentiment). I totally think Live is worth the money – I have gotten my money’s worth off the party system alone – and having all the demos, trailers, etc on the dashboard at start-up is a great way to promote new games.

Today I was able to check out a few trailers, and if you have Live (or PSN) you should give them a look as well. The first is the new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I read this week that Activision was opposed to Infinity Ward doing a modern CoD game. If this isn’t an example of a game developer being completely out of touch, I don’t know what is. Apparently Activision was content to make WW2 games until the cows come home.  The success of CoD: Modern Warfare was enough to make them see the light. Now, Infinity Ward returns with Modern Warfare 2.  The original MW was praised for its cinematic single-player campaign, but really got legs because of its progressive multiplayer. From what I’ve read, it appears that MW2 will offer much of the same, and the new trailer is an big and exciting as any summer blockbuster. Check it out here:

A second game, although a bit farther on the horizon, is Just Cause 2. The first Just Cause was a strange thing: It was developed for the aging PS2/Xbox systems in the infancy of the Xbox 360. The 360 version was little more than a graphical upgrade, and the game had a lot of problems. Still, it had its fun moments – including lots of skydiving. Just Cause 2 looks to expand on everything that was fun about JC1, and get rid of the bugs that plagued it’s predecessor. Their is a great “Vertical Gameplay Documentary” on Live now that is worth a watch.

Finally, we have the second DLC episode of Grand Theft Auto 4 – The Ballad of Gay Tony. I had a blast with the first episode, Lost & Damned. Rockstar found a way to keep things in Liberty City, but at the same time offered a new take on old stomping ground. Motorcycles were the main mode of transportation. I’m wondering what other new elements will be added to BoGT, but it’s obvious that base jumping/sky diving is a big part. Another great thing Rockstar is doing is releasing Episodes from Liberty City, a two pack with both episodes. This is for people who don’t own GTA4, or maybe sold it awhile back. I’m hoping that BoGT brings as much to the table as Lost &  Damned did, and also get the multiplayer for GTA going again, which is a lot of fun. Here’s the new trailer:

Now, don’t even get me started on the deluge of games coming out in the first quarter of 2010. I’ll have more on those as the time comes near, but for now, which games are you looking forward to?

et encore une fois c’est la faute des autres, les “ils”, l’ami surement noir et désoeuvré des enfants morano, le vendeur de jeux vidéos qui ne vérifit pas l’âge des enfants qui passent à sa caisse, des programmeurs et éditeurs de jeux vidéos… je m’excuse Nadine mais pour une fois tu pourrais  assumer (oulà je vais peut être me retrouver au Tribunal moi), on va pas quand même pas me dire que tu aurais pas eu le temps de glisser subrepticement un petit “l’âge de glace 3″ dans ta PS3!!

en même temps GTA4 c’est un peu l’univers que nous propose le programme d’avenir de nos gentils gouvernants: une fois qu’on aura tout privatisé (un big up par là d’ailleurs… mobilisation!!!), supprimer tous les acquis sociaux, que plus rien ne marchera dans notre belle civilisation, on fera tout cramer et comme plus personne ne se rappellera la notion de “collectif” (mot supprimé par Sarkozy 1er en décembre 2020!!) on devrait vraisemblablement aboutir à l’univers de GTA4…

Yeah, finally getting some progress in GTAIV. I get around 20fps with my crap duo processor but it runs pretty smooth, so hell I guess I can’t complain. I was actually planning to install some of those graphic mods, might try the ‘realistic environments‘ one, from the screenshots it looks damn good. I hope it doesn’t pull my fps down a lot though. Then again, maybe the guy has a quad core or i7…

I love the fact that GTA always has music that can appeal to everyone. Heck I wouldn’t have heard of Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band if i hadn’t played this game.

Anyway I played  again with the storyline missions turned off, just felt like exploring Liberty City (the closest thing I can get to  NYC, since I haven’t been there yet). Being the loser that I am I always tune in to certain radio stations when cruising around. Indie/Rock during the day or during missions, electro/jazz/rnb at night (though it’s hilarious when I escape a 3-star rating driving a wrecked car while listening to jazz).

Heh, I wasn’t that big of a fan of the previous GTA games, but I guess with GTAIV being the most realistic one, I guess it just appealed to me.

Mas para a sorte de vocês acabei lembrando (Y)

Que tal jogar com Wolverine, Spider-Man, Venom e Hulk ao mesmo tempo e com uma violência boa como Fallout 3?

Bom, hoje venho trazendo um jogo de PC pra vocês: [Prototype].

Pra quem gosta de GTA ou outros games no estilo Free World esse daqui vai ser o paraíso em game para você… Pelo menos no começo LOL.

A primeira vista [Prototype] para ser um jogo “febre do momento” igual a modinha do twitter (sim eu estou fazendo perseguição. ¬¬), vem do nada, todo mundo começa a para pau, passou um ano ninguém mais se lembra. Mas [Prototype] é mais que isso, na verdade você vai esquecê-lo em menos de 5 meses. \o/

Em [Prototype] você esta na pele de Alex Mercer , que perdeu sua memória e agora esta atrás do seu passado e de vingança. Alex acorda em um “necrotério” enquanto estava sendo estudado, logo após ser fuzilado ele percebe que não é mais uma pessoa comum e graças a um vírus desconhecido, ele agora esta super forte, super rápido e ágil, quase invencível e com o passar do tempo ainda aprende a utilizar sua habilidade de mudar seu próprio corpo para criar armas com seus braços ou imitar o rosto de alguém. Pra entender só mesmo jogando… xD

Para agradar quem já ta enjoado da modinha de “oh my god, não tema… eoo chegay para salvar o mundo”. Dessa vez você não é o bonzinho, Alex M. tem uma ótima atitude, pra ele não importa se é uma vida inocente ou culpada, ele mata o que tiver pelo caminho. VIOLENCE RULEZ

Alem do massacre que você pode fazer também há algo muito interessante em jogar [Prototype], o fato de você sentir-se um semi-deus, afinal de contas depois de pegar um carro, joga-lo contra um blindado (conhecido também como tanque-de-guerra de forma errônea) e depois dar um salto um pouco maior que 30m e agarrar em um helicóptero em pleno vôo qualquer um acaba se sentindo um semi-deus.

Mas afinal, então [Prototype] é melhor que Grand Theft Auto 4? Em minha opinião. NÃO!

Se a empresa produtora tivesse se esforçado um pouco mais ganhariam do GTA, mas não ganharam porque a criadora é a famosa e mal fala Activision, produtora de grandes títulos com grande potencial porem muito mal feitos como, por exemplo, Vampire: The Masquerade entre outros.

Por isso [Prototype] acabou ficando igual a todos os outros, mal acabado. Faltou muito pouco pra ele superar o GTA, a parte mais difícil que era criar os gráficos do mundo aberto e criar o sistema de física e inteligência artificial a Activision fez, o que faltou foi.

• Mais Armas de Fogo (todos os fãs de GTA adoram matar sem motivo com armas originais.)
• Armas Brancas (não que Alex Mercer precise, mas torna a matança mais divertida.)
• Mais veículos e motos para dirigir (Todo mundo gosta de variar um pouco né.)
• Putaria (Não é por eu ser tarado, mas se o jogo é sobre o mundo real ele tem que parecer com o mundo real né? Ou seja: TEM QUE TER PUTARIA…)

Na falta de mais armas de fogo Mercer pode fazer surgir estacas do chão =D

Como podem ver faltou muito pouco para [Prototype] superar o lendário GTA. Mas a Activision como sempre deu mancada. Outra coisa interessante é você reparar bem no ambiente da cidade, e depois comparar com o jogo Spider Man: Web of Shadows… Da pra ver que o cenário foi “reciclado” do game Spider Man, que obviamente também é mais uma obra de arte da Activision. ¬¬

Bom chega de perseguição contra essa empresa FDP maravilhosa que eu tanto falei mal… xD

Gráficos (Ambiente): 4

Os gráficos do ambiente em geral são bons, pelo menos até você ver uma arvore de perto e perceber que suas folhas mais parecem papel do que folhas… ¬¬

Gráficos (Personagens): 7

Os personagens são até bons, mas para pedir um hardware tão potente dava pra fazer coisa melhor…

Som: 6

Assim como muitos jogos de PC [Prototype] também dispensa trilha sonora, mas em questão de falar e legendas mereceu uma nota baixa, as vezes (mesmo com as legendas ativadas) Alex conversa sozinho mas no meio de todo o tumulto e destruição não da pra entender o que ele esta dizendo… É algo muito frustrante!

Historia: 9

Enredo muito bom, cheio de mistérios, surpresas e reviravoltas. Tenho que elogiar a Activision nessa parte, os jogos que ela cria tem ótimas historias!

Controles (Jogabilidade): 8

Os controles são totalmente configuraveis para o teclado, podem deixou os Joysticks de fora por problemas de compatibilidade, na maioria dos controles USB o game simplesmente não detecta o dispositivo… Mais uma mancada, mas deu pra tirar um 8 vai…

Ponto Negativo:

Missões muito repetitivas em geral.

Ponto Positivo:

Otimo FreeWorld, física bem trabalhada e sistemas muito bem programados. E a possibilidade de se tornar um dos inimigos para enganar os outros inimigos da uma possibilidade estratégica imensa.

Hello ladies and gentleman!

I am trying hard to stay awake while playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance. This game is supposed to be fun with a group of friends, but we’re all sitting here dosing off in the middle of game playing. I know this isn’t hardcore gaming, sleeping through actual gameplay, but I’m exhausted. I was up all night playing Fallout 3. I share the same problem in Fallout 3 as I do with GTA4. Every time, I get into a mission I get side tracked in doing some random act. Fallout doesn’t offer as many side missions as GTA4 but there is enough there to make it worth while. Well since this is a game party, and Fallout 3 is a single player game, I will list the games we will be playing tonight.

Left4Dead

Halo 3

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is supposed to be on this list but I forgot it at home…blah
