<p>Cette campagne de <strong>guérilla marketing</strong> est extrêmement drôle, décalée et me donne plein d&#8217;idées d&#8217;animations!</p>

<p>OH!&#8230; the changes! Life has been quite eventful the past month, I owe it all to my conscious vibration and the Universe, of course. We are all energetic beings, although we have what appears to be a solid body, we are actually vibrating atoms. Meaning we are able to consciously (and un- or sub-consciously) vibrate or manipulate matter to work for or against us.<strong> I choose to work <em>with</em> it.</strong></p>
<p>For starters, I threw in the solely &#8217;self-employed&#8217; towel because I set out to build my business as much as possible in a month, knowing that after 30 days I would need to be gainfully employed again. After about 36 days I was blessed to be given a teaching position at a preschool here in the city. I&#8217;ve been doing that for the past few weeks and it&#8217;s been a blast! It has proven to be a bit of a challenge&#8230; well more than a bit, but it is one of the most rewarding experiences I could have ever manifested!</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve always wanted to be a teacher but after attempting to earn a bachelors in Early Childhood Education, I realized the basics needed weren&#8217;t basic at all. Most universities and colleges require an extensive amount of nonsensical courses (no offense &#8211; I do realize teaching is not babysitting and you do need to have structured, formal education) to appear on your transcript which I didnt feel were necessary &#8212; I mean really, it doesn&#8217;t take a rocket scientist to nurture a child. It does however take patience and everyday I&#8217;m becoming more equipped.</p>
<p>In addition to being blessed with a new schnazzy &#8217;career&#8217;, my <a href="http://consciouslybirthing.wordpress.com/intuitive-arts/">Intuitive Wellbeing Counseling services (or Intuitive Arts)</a> have been growing! The Universe has a magnificent way of aligning those who are intuned &#8212; I recently provided an incredible author, Jason Matthews, <a href="http://consciouslybirthing.wordpress.com/testimonial/">with a Psychic Divination Reading</a> a.k.a, a Tarot reading.</p>
<p>I was led to Jason&#8217;s site via his wife&#8217;s site, <a href="http://www.newmoonmanifesting.com">New Moon Manifesting</a>. It&#8217;s an incredibly informative site about harnessing the power of the New Moon and making it work for your intentions. I then meandered on over to <a href="http://www.cosmicforceproductions.com">Jason&#8217;s site, Cosmic Force Productions</a>, and found his awesome manuscripts (that are downloadable for free!) for his novel. To make a somewhat long story short, I offer FREE Tarot readings (called <a href="http://consciouslybirthing.wordpress.com/healing-arts/">FREE Tarot Fridays!</a>) on Fridays of every week and Jason inquired about one. He enjoyed his reading so much he <a href="http://www.thebigbangauthor.com/2009/11/jessica-eleven-daniel-consciously.html">posted a blog</a> about it and even donated! Thx Jason!</p>
<p>And the great news doesn&#8217;t stop there!!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not your traditional marketer or networker.. I do it guerilla style, if you know what I mean&#8230; One afternoon, I stopped to get gas in the city and had been placing my business cards in libraries, metaphysical bookshops and such but had an intuitive nudge to leave a card at the filling station I was at. So I did! I slipped in the plastic module that holds the gas card applications &#8212; in hopes that my intuition served me right (which it always does, you should try using it sometime <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> ). The very next day, I received a call from a woman who was seeking just what I have to offer, Conscious Childbirth Education!</p>
<p>We chatted one Saturday afternoon about her desires for a natural pregnancy and homebirth and I informed her of the Conscious Childbirth Education Workshop that I offered. She was ecstatic to have found my business card at the filling station because just a few days prior she&#8217;d discussed with her spouse how much she wanted to have a natural, conscious birthing experience.</p>
<p>Now, we all know that everything is not all peaches and roses and what not, but I choose not to dwell in the negative (anymore) because it doesn&#8217;t do much good for your well-being. With that said, of course there have been mishaps and &#8220;setbacks&#8221;. I look at them as signs to slow down [<em>re-evaluation</em>] and change courses [<em>growth</em>].</p>
<p>As some of you may be aware I was planning on participating in the wonderful NaNoWriMo in hopes of writing my first novel. Apparently the Universe had other plans for me. The second day into typing my soon-to-be novel, my laptop was completely destroyed!! I&#8217;m talking cracked screen, wet keys, destroyed. But once again, the Universe is always working in your favor if you allow it.</p>
<p>The evening that I discovered my laptop was demolished I was at a local coffee shop that I absolutely, never go to (I don&#8217;t drink coffee, so it really seemed &#8216;random&#8217; that I&#8217;d even be led there). When I walked in I saw a friend of mine who happens to be a computer whiz and rebuilder. I sat down, we conversed, I proceeded to open my laptop only to find that it was completely dismantled. And I&#8217;m like Carrie Bradshaw with the whole &#8216;backing-up&#8217; thing; kinda late! We spent the next 5hrs copying files from my hardrive onto a disc. What a Godsend. </p>
<p>You see, I could&#8217;ve looked at that experience and been devastated or even temporarily paralyzed because of it, instead I chose to view it from the eyes of a Creator and saw beautiful alignment not tragic inconvenience. Life happens, things appear to be gloom and doom but there is ALWAYS a silver lining, you just have to recognize it.</p>
<p>The Universe is magnificent and always aligning to our vibration, no matter what. When situations arise that seem &#8216;to good to be true&#8217; it&#8217;s best to be appreciative, give thanks and give back!</p>

<p>Sept panneaux publicitaires de la chaîne de restaurants de fruits de mer américaine <a href="http://ivars.net/index.php">Ivar&#8217;s</a> ont été retrouvés récemment à plus de 25 mètres sous l&#8217;eau du côté de Puget Sound à Seattle.</p>
<p>Là ou ça devient intéressant c&#8217;est qu&#8217;ils auraient été placés à cet endroit précis il y a plus d&#8217;un demi siècle, dans les années 50 par le fondateur de la chaîne, Ivar Haglund, décédé il y a 24 ans, à l&#8217;âge de 79 ans.</p>
<p>C&#8217;est un historien local du nom de Paul Dorpat qui aurait mis la main sur des manuscrits et documents anciens permettant de retrouver ces panneaux.</p>
<p>Ajouter à cela 2 vidéos façons documentaires et vous obtenez une belle histoire qui va rapidement intéresser les médias.</p>

<p>A noter que durant cette période médiatique les ventes de palourdes dans le restaurant ont plus que quadruplées. </p>

Du coup, tout fut retourné. Cela va des mannequins en expositions aux voitures garées juste devant, sans oublier son enseigne. Ils sont même allés jusqu&#8217;à mettre des B-boy devant le magasin.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>Congratulations Captain Morgan.</strong> </span> For a small investment of a mere $10k you pulled in an audience of 29 million+ and have gotten a solid PR buzz.  A stronger buzz then you&#8217;d get from drinking a bottle of your booze.  Being from <a title="Philly article" href="http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/sports/Celeks-Captain-Pose-69893082.html" target="_blank">Philly</a> I really enjoyed this marketing stunt. Captain Morgan offered to donate $10,000 to a charity, the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund – a non-profit which helps retired NFL players with various hardships after leaving the game, for every NFL player that struck the Captain Morgan pose (see image below) at a regular season game, $25,000 in the playoffs and $100,000 in the Super Bowl.</p>
<p><a href="http://deconstructingplanning.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/captainx-inset-community.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-32" title="AP Photo" src="http://deconstructingplanning.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/captainx-inset-community.jpg?w=215" alt="" width="215" height="300" /></a>The guerilla campaign lasted one play and one play enough I would agree. The No-Fun-League &#8211; oops, I mean the NFL &#8211; squashed any future Captain imitations. Greg Aiello, the NFL spokesman said: &#8220;The issue is that players are specifically prohibited under our policies from wearing, displaying, promoting or otherwise conveying their support of a commercially identified product during a game while they&#8217;re on the field,&#8221; Aiello told Yahoo. &#8220;Whether it&#8217;s rum or soft drinks or any other commercial product, that type of promotion is prohibited.&#8221;  A bah-humbug!</p>
<p>Well, in any case, the one play was fresh and fun.  I, as a consumer and marketer, enjoyed it and it helped further evolve my brand perception of Captain Morgan.  I use to think it was just so young and goofy now, it&#8217;s more fun-loving and young-at-heart.  Hats off to you Captain, there are very little other ways to generate so much buzz with such a small investment.  And bravo for doing so while staying true to your brand identity and personality (a little rebellious, good-hearted, fun-loving, attention-getting) and you &#8211; the cherry on top of it all &#8211; you appear benevolent too.  To end this post, here is the company&#8217;s response to the NFL&#8217;s ban on their marketing campaign  (just perfect, kudos):</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><span style="color:#ff6600;">&#8220;Captain Morgan here, as you know I believe in celebrating legendary times with my fans and my friends and always doing so in a socially responsible manner. I am a man of action, a man of the moment, and I always make fun a priority. And when it comes to football what is more fun than a touchdown? I believe in drinking responsibly, marketing responsibly and helping charities too, but understand my friends at the NFL&#8217;s perspective. I will continue in my quest for legendary times and ask my fans to do the same.&#8221;</span></p>

<p>Evidently, the good ol&#8217; Captain was quietly offering to donate $10,000 to the <a href="http://www.gridirongreats.org">Gridiron Greats</a> fund (a charitable organization?) every time a player struck a pose after scoring a touchdown.  Before being ratted out, the donation was due to increase to $25,000 in the playoffs and $100,000 in the Super Bowl.  The first instance happened when Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek struck the pose after scoring in a recent game against their rival, the Dallas Cowboys.<a href="http://admavericks.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/dallascowboysvphiladelphiaeaglesglywhxdhcegl.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-2467" title="Dallas+Cowboys+v+Philadelphia+Eagles+gLywHXDHCEgl" src="http://admavericks.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/dallascowboysvphiladelphiaeaglesglywhxdhcegl.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p>It didn&#8217;t take too long before the NFL sniffed out the sneaky marketing ploy and laid down the law against future attempts at what they called &#8220;ambush marketing.&#8221;  While Celek didn&#8217;t get fined, the NFL made it clear that if it wasn&#8217;t making money on the marketing, they&#8217;d be making money off the resulting punishment.</p>
<p>The Captain?  He&#8217;s over in the corner laughing to himself.  He knows he just got away with a marketing coup that will likely get more attention now than it might have if the NFL hadn&#8217;t pointed it out to all of its viewing audience.  I can&#8217;t imagine rogue college players striking the same pose &#8230; or fans standing behind Game Day broadcasters?  Or players in any number of other sports, for that matter.  Even more ingenious &#8211; if you want to give credit &#8211; is that the ploy probably cost them a fraction of what it would have actually cost to advertise on an NFL game &#8230; and probably got more attention.</p>
<p>Think you&#8217;ve seen the end of the Captain in guerilla sports marketing?  Think again.</p>

<p>Everyone&#8217;s favorite swashbuckling rum maker, Captain Morgan has pissed off the NFL. Considering he is a pirate, that probably shouldn&#8217;t be surprising. Still&#8230; upsetting the organization that can provide your product its greatest exposure to your main demographic is probably not a great idea.</p>
<p>It started simply enough:</p>
<p>Earlier this year Captain Morgan rum makers offered to donate $10,000 to the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a nonprofit that helps retired NFL players, each time a player would strike the Captain Morgan pose after making a touchdown. During the playoffs the donation would be raised to $25,000 and for the Super Bowl it would reach a whopping $100,000 per pose.</p>
<p>At a glance this seems like it would be an easy enough proposition. The money raised would go to a cause that would be near and dear to each player.  And the pose is so simple (hands on hips, right knee up) that even a Tight End could do it.</p>
<p>The problem is the NFL has a provision that players are not allowed to endorse alcoholic beverages. Not even for a charity. They also don’t like guerilla marketing campaigns during their games &#8211; especially when they are not getting a cut. And when they don’t like something a player does they usually show their disproval by fining them.</p>
<p>That is the reason no one participated in the Captain Morgan Pose guerilla marketing campaign when it was originally proposed and it was quickly forgotten.</p>
<p>Except, it seems, by Brent Celek.</p>
<p>Last week when he scored after catching an 11-yard pass from Donovan McNabb, Brent Celek posed himself in front of the television cameras, hands on hips, right leg raised “Captain Morgan” style. The ref, surprised by such swashbuckling behavior, immediately slapped the Eagles with a 15-yard penalty.</p>
<p>Captain Morgan was also caught unprepared. The rum maker was planning on announcing a relaunch of the campaign the following week, but had not yet greased the appropriate wheels – also known as the NFL.</p>
<p>&#8220;Whether it is rum or soft drinks or any other commercial product, that type of promotion is prohibited,&#8221; NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. “A company can’t pay a player to somehow promote its product on the field. Every league has the same rule. … It has come up before, companies trying to use our games and then players for ambush marketing purposes.”</p>
<p>The NFL immediately banned the marketing plan and notified Gridiron Greats and Captain Morgan that it wouldn&#8217;t allow the pose during games. It also threatened to seriously fine any player who did so.</p>
<p>Brent Celek said in a statement that no one had offered him any money to do it. Unfortunately for him, a spokesperson from Rogers &#38; Cowan, the marketing firm handling the campaign, contradicted him.</p>
<p>“The ad campaign has been going around internally for a while and he learned of the program through his contact at Diageo,” said Glenn Lehrman, an account director at Rogers &#38; Cowan. “Brent said, ‘You know what, if I get the opportunity, I’m going to go ahead and do it.’ He sort of beat us to the punch, but we’re certainly not going to complain.”</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t want people to think our intention was to upset the NFL,&#8221; Lehrman added. &#8220;We want to find a way to do it, but it&#8217;s not going to work out as currently formulated. … It&#8217;s at the point where we need to re-think how we can go about doing this and find a way that we can raise money for Gridiron Greats without getting people upset.&#8221;</p>
<p>Well… they can just write a check for the charity if that is their only goal, but, of course, it is not. Considering they have already promoted their brand in front of 21.9 million viewers and countless newspaper and blog readers for a mere $10,000. Their guerilla marketing campaign, so far, is producing some solid ROI.</p>
<p>In a viral video made as a sort of apology for the controversy, Captain Morgan himself said:</p>
<p>&#8220;Captain Morgan here, as you know I believe in celebrating legendary times with my fans and my friends and always doing so in a socially responsible manner. I am a man of action, a man of the moment, and I always make fun a priority. And when it comes to football what is more fun than a touchdown? I believe in drinking responsibly, marketing responsibly and helping charities too, but understand my friends at the NFL&#8217;s perspective. I will continue in my quest for legendary times and ask my fans to do the same.&#8221;</p>
<p>It probably says a lot about marketing today when the only person willing to take responsibility for a campaign gone wrong is the fictional spokesperson.</p>

<p>On ne moque jamais assez les opérations marketing tirées par les cheveux. Certaines poussent le bouchon un peu loin, d&#8217;autres sont juste craignos.</p>
<p>La marque scandinave Cheap Monday &#8211; qui à imposé au monde entier le jean slim via des prix dérisoires &#8211; a ainsi décidé de jouer la connivence avec ses petits potes : les jeunes hipsters décalés et cools. La nouvelle DA de la marque a fait semblant de se faire kidnapper pour sa &#8220;trop grande audace créative&#8221;.</p>
<p>Pour sa défense, elle reconnait en toute modestie et sans étouffer un petit rire stupide &#8220;ne pas avoir manqué d&#8217;occasion d&#8217;être épinglée sur le blog <a href="http://www.thefashionpolice.net/2008/02/fashion-disaste-2.html" target="_blank">Fashion Policy</a>&#8220; qui répertorie les <em>don&#8217;t</em> des défilés&#8230; Les messages des ravisseurs sont <a href="http://www.annsofieback.com/wag4.html" target="_blank">ridicules</a>.</p>
<p>Je suis doublement blâmable : je participe à la création du buzz de cette opération et j&#8217;en enrichis le message en faisant croire que je trouve ça nul&#8230; Rien de tel pour parler à de jeunes ados <em>révoltés</em>.</p>
<p>Voici une opé aussi orgueilleuse que futée. On gage que les nouvelles fringues d&#8217;Ann Sofie Back trouveront leur public au sein de la galerie de 1000 mètres carrés louée à Stockholm.</p>
<p>Des terroristes qui font du shopping&#8230; On nage en pleine <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperr%C3%A9alit%C3%A9" target="_blank">hyperréalité</a>&#8230;</p>

As a big fan of street art, I think there is a very fine line between it and guerilla marketing. I also find it interesting that one is commonly accepted while the other is often looked upon with scorn (admittedly, I&#8217;m not a fan of mindless graffiti scribbling). I guess society finds corporate messaging more palatable than artistic endeavors.</p>

<p>The Vienna-based <a href="http://www.ciewdorner.at/">Compagnie Willie Dorner</a> (formed 1999) has created living sculptures, which consists of individuals leaping into obscure formations for a short time.<br />

<p>The group’s guerilla art performances strive to do more than entertain, but create an experience for the audience. A similar correlation to the communication sphere, which now needs to also go the extra mile to grab their audiences attention to even be given the chance to tell a story, sell the attributes of a product, achieve participation or create word of mouth to achieve an objective.  </p>
<p>As Dorner uses this unique method to inspire viewers to see things in a slightly different way, moving into a new mindset, I believe marketers will too have to continue to surprise their audiences, by creating unique brand experiences. </p>

<p>Effectivement, j&#8217;ai bien dit mouche et vivante en plus. Au début, nous trouvons l&#8217;idée assez farfelu mais plus j&#8217;y songe, plus je trouve que cette idée peut être très efficasse avec un nombre suffisant de mouches bien entendu et un bon auditoire.<br />
Blague à part : Est-ce que c&#8217;est ça du buzz marketing??</p>

<p>Pas moins de 120 panneaux publicitaires &#8216;illégaux&#8217; ont été artistiquement attaqués par le collectif. Tout d&#8217;abord, ils ont immaculé de blanc ces &#8220;zones de non droit&#8221;. Puis, ils ont laissé place à des artistes.</p>
<p>120 créations ont vu le jour instaurant un nouveau regard de la ville.</p>
<p>Une idée vraiment fabuleuse mélangeant de l&#8217;<strong>ambush marketing</strong> non commercial et le <strong>street art</strong>!</p>

<p>Οι προτάσεις προβολής της High Fidelity εντάσσονται στο γενικότερο πλαίσιο ανάπτυξης και αναδιαμόρφωσης της ΔΕΘ με στόχο να αποκτήσει η έκθεση μια πιο δυναμική επικοινωνιακή «φωνή» και παρουσία.</p>
<p>Η επιλογή μας για δημιουργία και τοποθέτηση ελεφάντων σε κεντρικά σημεία σε διάφορες μεριές της χώρας, επιλέχθηκε με βάση την τιμώμενη χώρα που ήταν η Ινδία και για την οποία ο ελέφαντας αποτελεί ιερό σύμβολο.</p>
<p>Εκτός από τον μεγάλο ελέφαντα  (διαστάσεων 14m x 9m) που βρισκότανε στην ΔΕΘ, τοποθετήθηκαν  και   μικρότεροι ελέφαντες, σε ισάριθμες πόλεις της Ελλάδας, (Αθήνα, Πειραιάς, Πάτρα και Λάρισα). Η κατασκευή τους έγινε στα εργαστήρια του Δήμου Πάτρας και φιλοτεχνήθηκε αφιλοκερδώς από τον καλλιτέχνη Άγγελο Χατζηαράπογλου (Τζιάρα), ο οποίος και συνδύασε χρώματα και μοτίβα του ινδικού πολιτισμού με τη δική του, προσωπική, ζωγραφική γραφή.</p>

<p>Κίνητρο για τον καλλιτέχνη αποτέλεσε το γεγονός ότι, οι πέντε ελέφαντες, στη λήξη της ΔΕΘ, θα δημοπρατηθούν και το ποσό που θα συγκεντρωθεί θα δοθεί στο χωριό SOS.</p>
<p>Για όλες τις  ενέργειες προβολής και δημοσιότητας που αναλαμβάνει η High Fidelity  φροντίζουμε να στηρίζονται και να αντιπροσωπεύουν επάξια τις αξίες και τον ουσιαστικό ρόλο του brand που εκπροσωπούμε σε συνδυασμό με την απόδοση και την βέλτιστη αποτελεσματικότητα της κάθε δράσης.</p>

<p>A German book publisher, Eichborn-Verlag, used wax to attach banners to common flies at a recent  tradeshow. This unique marketing approach was successful not only due to its novelty, but also because the weight of the banners slightly affected the flies&#8217; mobility, keeping them flying close to eye level and forcing them to rest more often.</p>
