HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking holiday organisation, reports that interest in its Family Outd

HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking holiday organisation, reports that interest in its Family Outdoor Holidays is on the increase, despite findings published by the National Trust in its Natural Childhood *report.

“Like the National Trust, we are concerned about what experts call Nature Deficit Disorder in children, and we saw the number of families exploring the great outdoors with HF Holidays gradually decline over the last 20 years or so,” says Laura Sims, head of marketing and development, who has been with the company for 15 years.

“However, in the last two years we’ve seen a significant increase, and family holiday bookings for 2012 are already up eight per cent on last year. For example, this week our guided walking break for families in Malhamdale is a sell-out: 90 children, parents and grandparents together enjoying the best that the Yorkshire Dales National Park has to offer.”

HF Holidays is one of the UK’s largest travel co-operatives, its first walking holidays in 1913 created as an antidote to the ‘busy and thoughtless holidays of the time’.

“Many of our members and guests are now grandparents who say they are concerned about their grandchildren’s disconnection from nature and their lack of physical fitness,” says Sims.

“Our free and discounted places for children, and reductions for grandparents, are designed to make our family holidays more accessible. We’ve also broadened our range beyond walking to include cycling and multi-activity breaks,” adds Sims.

HF Holidays’ UK family holidays offer:

Free places for children under 11 years when sharing a family room with two adults

50 per cent discount for 11 to 17 year olds when sharing a family room with two adults

10 per cent discount for grandparents accompanying families

Family breaks in the UK start at £329 per adult, £164 for 11-17 year olds, with under 11s free.

It has been very good to go on walk especially on holiday and to have some relaxation by getting rid

It has been very good to go on walk especially on holiday and to have some relaxation by getting rid of all the daily boredom routines. Though going on walk daily is very necessary but in this world of workaholic people seldom get time to go on walk daily. So to have full enjoyment the day of holiday is good to be gathered with all your family members.

To be motivated by the holiday walk let us discuss some basic tips or points that are factual as well.

Get Healthy

Going on walk on holiday you become healthy one as you are going to lose the extra baggage that you are carrying on your body. You may feel very well after the completion of holiday walk. The tired body will get very healthy sleep at night after ending the holiday walk.

Try Indulgence

When you go on walk on the holiday you get a lot of opportunities to indulge yourself in different kinds of activities like hoteling, going to roadside eateries and on other exotic places.

Find Happiness

When you are out on walk it is great time for relaxing your mind and to become happy. You look around to the green fields, sunshine, streams and some other natural scenes available to you. When you start tov think about the things other than your daily routines your mid change the way of thinking and become more fresh and creative.

Inspiration

It is the best time when you are alone and can have much active and fresh mind that really help you in solving some of your badly stuck problems. When you go for a solution in calm mind you go evenly better than ever before. Because there are two ways of solving any problem one reactive and other one is proactive. When you get things earlier on then you are acting in proactive manner and this stage is of calm mind. Other way is of reactive when all the things have happened wrong and you are going to handle them in an aggressive manner. This happened when your mind is boredom in daily activities that are being carried out by you compulsively.

Go Green

It is fact that our minds get more happiness and pleasure in green fields rather than other kind of places. So to have piece of minds you must go to the grassy fields and walk in deep feelings on these beautiful mind provoking lands that are source of tranquility.
