It’s been a long time since i’ve written on here, but to be honest, i’ve not had much reason to write on here recently, my life’s been chugging along pretty smoothly with a smile on my face.

But today was just a big pick and mix bag of emotions and feelings

There’s this guy, who on msn has been talking to be and being really really nice, nothing like the person i know in real life. I used to have english with him last year, and to be honest, he’s a bit crude,  he’s just someone i would never thought i’d like, but when he started talking and being really nice to me on msn, i started falling for him a bit, i found myself smiling whenever he said these unbelieveably cheesy but awfully sweet things about me, things that a guy hasn’t said about me for a long time. Whenever i see him in school though, or speak to him in real life in general, it’s just not the same, it’s like different to the sweet guy i speak to for hours on end every night, some of the cheesyness if still there, but that’s it, but when he asked me to go to the cinema, i said yes, what harm could it do, i’d get to know him better.

Loads of people found out about our little ‘date’ and suddenly it was like the gossip of 6th form, and i did not like it one bit. Friends were supportive and thought it was cute, other so called friends weren’t so great of this random coupling.

Before the date, was a bit excited, but as soon as we got to the cinema, it just didn’t feel too right but i was like, give it some time. It just didn’t work though, i know they say that opposites attract, but it was just too different and i tried to go with it, cause he’s a genuinely nice guy and i gave it a go cause i didn’t want to hurt his feelings, but it just felt like i was forcing it. It felt like he was far more into this date than i was, he wanted to hold my hand and everything, i just didn’t. Then, and i can’t actually believe he said this, but when he dropped me off, he was like “i’m not gonna score tonight am i?”  this is so bad, but a pity kiss was involved, and there was no spark, nothing.  I went  round to my friend’s house after and i just had this feeling of…regret and dissappointment.

I talked to her and another friend on the phone, who suggested to just say thanks, so i texted him, saying thanks for the cinema, and that we need to talk on monday. He took this as a good thing, saying our next date would be better and so on. Then my friend came round to mine and we had fun, she cheered me up, but after she left, later on msn, i put it straight because i just didn’t want to be carrying the weight on my shoulders over the weekend, and for once, i was on the other side of things. Usually, I’M the one who’s being told that “our friendship’s too important to jepordise”, but now i was doing it to him, and i’ve felt and experienced the utter gut wrenching feeling of this so many times before, i felt like the most heartless, horrible person doing it to him now. But i didn’t want to carry it and lead him on, because this again has happened to me before, when you think everything’s going well but the other person never felt any chemistry in the first place..well this hurts just as much, and i didn’t want to do it to him. He said the saddest things to me, and the sweetest things about how he felt about me, and i just felt like a crap doing this to him.

My friend comforted me on the phone, saying if it was meant to work, it would’ve, but i still feel awful.

Now i’m listening to John Mayer, it’s all i want to listen to at the moment. I can’t even put a label on the feeling i have right now. I feel sad because this didn’t work out, i feel embarassed and regretful about how it all went, and also sympathy and heartbreak for him.

It’ll be awkard for a bit, i know it will, it always is, but hopefully, he’ll still a friend in my life.

And i’m not particuarly looking forward to Monday morning when everyone asks me about it. He wasn’t the best kisser, by any means, but i don’t wanna slag him off to everyone, cause that’s just cruel. I told my closest friends, cause that’s what you do, you talk to them. But apart from that, it’s being kept schtum.

But i love Sarah, she’s just always there for me no matter what the problem is    We have tea, we talk it out, we dance dressed as gummy bears. A true friend <3

Thursday was a really weird day. I mean really weird. The morning wasn’t exactly well a good morning, but going to a pool party that my friend through really made my day. It was great. We watched Spirit. or is it The Spirit. The one that didn’t do well….wow that didn’t help. The one with Samuel L. Jackson. Yeah that one. We watched that and of course we all made comments on it. It was such a bad movie that your brain hurt trying to make sense of it. So that was fun. My friends dog was also the life of the party. Going from person to person licking their hands and getting petted. Then we had the pyros light the grill while the rest of us went to swim. It was fun. Twitter was attacked by hackers and I mean it just screwed up everything. It finally came up and now twitter and twitpic aren’t exactly in harmony and I sent my update through my phone and nothing. So I had to type it. They need to fix that. Stupid hackers. What is the point of hacking twitter anyway. I mean not like they made it say anything weird. Oh that reminds so I was surfing the web and I found this picture and I couldn’t tell if it was real or fake. Here is the picture. I swore it was fake. Then I looked at it and I couldn’t see the obvious lines. You know to show that it was photoshopped. I couldn’t find them. So I posted it on twitpic…..and yeah that didn’t help. So I googled it. I wish I didn’t, because yeah proved it’s kinda real. You can even google video it and you can see it. It’s kinda shocking. So now I regret looking it up on google. Well let’s move on to squibies. Well this video made me cry and made my sides hurt so much. When I was hanging out at my friends pool party we were comparing videos. Then one of the people found this video. Ok we all know the robot chicken gummy bear. You know the one that got her leg caught in a bear trap. Omg this one is HILARIOUS!! If you want to make this funnier watch it with one of your friends. It will make you laugh that much more. Anyway here you go. Enjoy. I know I did. Today’s tip is one that I kinda got from my boss. Stopping to smell the flowers is great, but don’t be shocked if you get stung by a bee on the nose.

No wonder gummy bears are so satisfying. I need all the saliva possible to digest those porcine prions imbedded with Mad Cow disease. It’s me against the gummy bear. And I’m determined to show who is the boss.

Gummy Bear is leaving soon.

I’m not sure how I feel about it. The knowledge is there but it feels like I’m being cushioned from its full impact. I feel as if I don’t really care and it doesn’t affect me.

But when he posted the fact in Facebook, I felt something starting to gnaw at the pit of my stomach.

When it’s final and he’s gone for good, how will I feel? I don’t know. I don’t think I want to know. I try not to think about it.

I’ll never see him again. Never.

One year from now, maybe I won’t really care. Or at least, I hope so.

Maybe he’ll come back. Maybe… In my heart of hearts, I pray…. That he’ll find his way back to me…

But then again, I’m dreaming.

I believe people meet each other for a reason. And maybe the reason will be obscure. And maybe we’ll never know why.

I try to think of the circumstances that brought him, from a very far corner of the world, to my turf, and I smile. Because I could just as easily have missed him. But I didn’t. And I believe my life is better for having known him.

My colleagues can testify, and my family will bare witness that I’ve never been known as a great brain.  Some will even say challenged by technology.

My personal belief is that both the latitude and longitude configuration of my brain is now suffering the indiscriminate actions of eating white paste as a child.

I hale from an era of push lawn mowers that had spinning angled blades that stopped when you stopped. If you had the attachment for catching grass you live on the “right-side” of the tracks; we didn’t.

Never one to let a good deed go unpunished, I fired up the mighty red rocket mower with power assist just waiting to feel the surge make its way to the small front rubber wheels like bolts of lightening. 

Ask how it works?

Hell, no! 

I’ve used a power lawn mower before; heck owned more used ones than you can shake a bag of grass at.

This house has the square grass footage of a football stadium and after the first two hours of pushing the power-assisted mower up the hills, I had pretty much cussed the inventor and manufacture with every step.

With half the job done, I was breathing as heavy as a bull walrus during mating season and patiently waited for my son-in-law to  return from work so that I could tell him what a piece of junk he had purchased.

With the sly smile of a gummy bear he chortled “Did you press in the second handle to engage the front wheels?”

Second handle? …

Damn the bastards who thought they needed two handles!
