“Enquanto dúvidas e incertezas pairam sobre qual será a grande atração da festa dos 50 anos de Brasília — se o ex-beatle Paul McCartney ou a diva do pop Madonna —, a cidade deverá receber outras estrelas internacionais antes do seu cinquentenário. Já com a presença confirmada dos escoceses do Franz Ferdinand, em 23 de março, na casa de show Marina Hall, os brasilienses poderão ter a chance de conferir de perto as apresentações de dois pesos pesados do rock: os californianos do Metallica e do Guns n’ Roses.

O show do Metallica ocorreria em 31 de janeiro, no estádio Mané Garrincha, e o da banda de Axl Rose, em 9 de março, no ginásio Nilson Nelson. Um documento pedindo autorização para a realização dos concertos foi apresentado à Secretaria de Esportes do Distrito Federal por um produtor local, em outubro. O vice-governador Paulo Octávio confirmou a reserva dos espaços para tais eventos. Todos os pedidos para uso do ginásio e do estádio em 2010 têm que passar por ele em função dos festejos de 21 de abril.

O produtor brasiliense que negocia as vindas do Metallica e do Guns à cidade pediu para não ser identificado. Mas, ao Correio, ele afirmou estarem “quase acertadas” as apresentações. Disse depender de “trâmites burocráticos” para confirmação da liberação dos espaços…” (Leia e comente)

Legat de articolul prcedent imi cam dau seama ca am tendinta totusi de a-mi plange prea mult de mila. Cred ca o sa iau o masura drastica (chiar daca oricat de mult as masura-o tot a lui este mai mare – asta este dintr-un banc vechi de la Divertis ) sa imi schimb putin cam radical viata ……. macar din punctele de vedere care realizez ca ma aduc in starea asta. Totusi legat de plansul inimii mele cred ca se potriveste:

Am remarcat ca noi, in general, avem tendinta sa asociem melodiile cu anumite evenimnete si stari prin care am trecut chiar cand ascultam un anumit gen de muzica. Toti cred ca au anumite piese care le ofera buna-dispozitie, ii supara, le ofera o stare mai aparte, etc. Cred ca mai toata lumea are o animta piesa care ii aduce aminte de o mare iubire sau de un mare chef, sau de prieteni, sau de parinti, etc. Totul depinde de cum se asociaza. Avand in vedere ca sunt mare amator de muzica (buna zic eu si multi altii) am si eu o gramada de piese care am ajuns sa le asociez cu unele persoane. De exemplu:

- Cand am iubit de mult am inceput  relatia cu o piesa care a cam si ramas cea pe care o asociez persoanei, chiar daca nu vreau sa ma insor cu ea:

- Ultima fata pe care am iubit-o cu melodia care a ales-o ea ca fiind “melodia noastra” , melodie pe care am acceptat-o usor pentru ca era din filmul care mie imi place cel mai mult si si melodia este cumva pe sufletelul meu. Este acolo pentru ca are versuri frumoase si care au caracterizat destul de bione relatia a carei melodie a fost. Am zis eu si mai de mult ca a stiut ea de ce a ales piesa asta! :

In orice caz, avand in vedere ca am remarcat ca si “boala generala”, piesa aceasta ….. ca si multe altele pe care i le-am dedicat de-a lungul vremii … care nu a fost totusi destul de lunga …… ma vor face mereu sa imi aduc aminte de ea …. cu drag e drept. Este totusi drept ca un gust amar a ajuns sa imi lase un anumit interpret, care este destul de ok, chiar daca nu m-a fascinat niciodata cu ceva anume, dar care, trebuie sa recunosc ca in anumite momente ale mele are un gen care MIE mi se pare prea deplasat si uneori chiar ridicola. In orice caz cu omul nu am nimic si, dupa cum mai cataloghez una muzica, daca incepe sa cante undeva nu ma deranjeaza, dar nici nu ma face “sa urc pe mese”

In orice caz am avut surpriza ca o persoana, care il apreciaza mult si ii place genul, sa se considere extrem de jignita personalpentru ca am catalogat respectiva muzica, intr-un moment si mai nasol al meu, ca fiind “PENTRU MINE de rahat”. Lucrul asta a degenerat destul de mult de am ajuns sa inteleg cumva suporterii anumitor echipe de fotbal ca ajung si la batai groaznice.

In orice caz daca artistul cu pricina nu ma incata in mod deosebit si ma cam lasa rece, dupa disputa respectiva am ajuns sa nu mai vreau sa aud de el. Totusi am facut un mare sacrificiu sa il caut pe YouTube si sa postez cateva melodii ale omului (TARKAN apropo), in primul rand pentru a avea parte de muzica lui in permanenta admiratoarea de care va povestea, cat si pentru ca se potriveste foarte bine subiectului articolului acesta! Deci iata muzica care mi-a facut o seara foarte nasoala si o dimineata la fel ….. care se continua cu ziua superba de STAT la STAT!

Acum ca am tot cautat piesele lui pe YouTube si le-am ascultat am realizat de ce mi se pare totusi o muzica jalnica. Eu unul am ajuns sa detest manelele foarte mult de la inceput. Oamneii care imi spun lucruri de genul “totusi la un chef merge o manea mica …. ca ma amuza” mi se par tot niste manelisti ascunsi. Ideea este ca manelele au foarte multe influente orientale in ele si versurile jalnice, dar ritmul fiind “furat” de la oamenii ca Tarkan sau de la oamni de la care a “furat” si el, atunci din acest motiv nu imi place …. cred. In orice caz muzica acestui Tarkan mi se pare o “manea orientala” cum de multa vreme am comparat! Oricum banuiesc ca versurile nu sunt despre “dusmani”, “avere”, “femei”. masini”, etc.

Trebuie sa recunosc totusi ca melodiile la care le-am facut un mic semn (doua este adevarat) imi par interesante. Dar tot nu este genul de muzica pe care sa o caut special pentur ca am chef sa o ascult si sa “o pun OBLIGAT la un chef”

E’ domenica e voglio consigliarvi un libro: Slash, scritto da Slash in collaborazione con  Anthony Bozza. Praticamente l’autobiografia del chitarrista dei Guns n’Roses (ora con i  Velvet Revolver) che racconta non solo la storia personale di Slash ma anche quella  della band, dai suoi esordi fino allo scioglimento a causa del litigio con Axl (e altre  incomprensioni) e alla creazione dei Velvet Revolver.

“Fu una serata memorabile. Il tipo di serata che io non ricordo completamente, ma  per la quale verrò certamente ricordato.” (Slash)

Dos segells discogràfics independents han demandat a la banda de rock nord-americna Guns N’Roses per valor d’ un milió de dòlars (678.900 euros) reclamant que el grup va usar fragments de dues cançons d’un músic alemany en el seu últim àlbum, Chinese Democracy. Guns N’Roses i el segell A&M han estat demandats per la firma britànica Independent i la branca nord-americana de la discogràfica Domino Recording Company, que té els drets de les  llicències de les cançons del músic alemany d’electrònica Ulrich Schnauss.

El cantant Axl Rose, els membres de Guns N’Roses i els productors de l’àlbum van copiar fragments de dues cançons de Schnauss – ‘Wherever You Llauri’ i ‘A Strangely Isolated Plau’ – per al tema ‘Riad N’the Bedouins’.

Amb la demanda els dos segells discogràfics busquen una compensació de gairebé 679.000 euros. ‘Chinese Democracy’, el primer disc de Guns N’Roses en 17 anys va ser publicat el passat mes de novembre, obtenint escasses vendes.

Axl rose, vokalis Guns n Roses, tokoh penuh kontroversi yang paling dicintai sekaligus dibenci oleh fans-nya sendiri.terkenal sebagai orang yang memiliki ego tinggi dan dituding sebagai orang yang menyebabkan terpecah belahnya Guns and Roses,berikut ulasanya ;

William Bruce Rose atau lebih dikenal sebagai Axle rose lahir di Lafayette, Indiana, US. Ayahnya meninggalkanya saat dia berusia 2 tahun. Belakangan setelah dewasa, Axl banyak menghabiskan waktu di kelas kelas Terapi karena masa kecilnya yang sura, Axl juga berkata pada publik bahwa dia mengalami sexual abuse oleh ayah biologisnya.

keadaan tidak kunjung membaik setelah ibunya menikah lagi dengan Bailey,Axl kembali diperlakukan dengan kasar oleh ayah tirinya .Axl junior belum menyadari nahwa Bailey adalah ayah tirinya.

Axl Rose kecil tumbuh di lingkungan gereja yang ketat, dia rajin bertandang ke gereja antara 3 sampai 8 kali setiap minggunya. Dan mulai mengasah kemampuan vokalnya dengan menyanyi di gereja bersama saudara tirinya sehingga mereka disebut sebagai “Trio Bailey”.

perlakuan kasar Bailey sewaktu kecil membuat Rose menolak menggunakan “Bailey” sebagai nama marganya kelak ketika dia berganti nama menjadi Axl. Axl junior belum menyadari nahwa Bailey adalah ayah tirinya hingga dia berusia 17 tahun saat tanpa sengaja dia menemukan kertas kertas dokumen tentang pengadopsian dirinya.

Nah, dimulai dengan terkuaknya kebenaran tersebut Axl menjadi lebih “liar”. Dia bahkan beberapa kali berurusan dengan polisi dan diusir dari rumah karena menolak memotong rambutnya.

Axl Rose bertemu dengan Izzy Straddlin di sekoah mengemudi dan keduanya dengan cepat menjadi teman baik dan mulai bermain band bersama yang kelak menjadi fondasi dasar Guns and Roses bersama Tracii Guns. Namun, pada periode ini Izzy sempat meninggalkan rose untuk mengadu nasib di Los Angeles guna lebih fokus di musik.

Berhubung kadung dicap sebagai pembuat onar kambuhan di Lafayette, rose memutuskan buat minggat dari sana dan memulai petualanganya dengan mengembara hingga pada akhirnya bertemu kembali dengan Izzy dan terus bersama dengan petualanganya untuk tetap survive di L.A.

The Most Dangerous Band in the World mulai terbentuk dengan bertemunya duo axl dan izzy (Hollywood Rose) dengan tracii guns(L.A. guns) pada 1985 sehingga melebur menjadi Guns N Roses termasuk Duff McKagan dan Ole Beich, kemudia Tracii hengkan dan diisi oleh Slash kemudian dipersolit lagi dengan masuknya Steven Adler. Bersama formasi ini mereka merekam album EP pertama yang berisi 4 lagu “Life ?!*@ Like a Suicide” dibawah naungan label mereka sendiri, UZI Suicide pada desember di tahun yang sama.

Menyusul kemudian album major perdana mereka “Apetite for Destruction” yang dirilis di 21 juli 1987. Album debut super ini pada awalnya kurang dikenal kalayak dan hanya terjual 500 ribu kopi di taun pertama rilis, Album ini pada akhirnya terangkat memuncaki no1 tangga lagu Billboard Chart 200 berkat konser liver dan hit “sweet child o’mine” yang sukses mengangkat Apetite for Destruction hingga 15x Platinum dan terjual lebih dari 27 juta kopi. Dan kemudian hadirlah GNR Lies.Buntut kesuksesan GnR Di era 88-90an ini nama Axl Rose begitu terkenal luas dan dipuja meski sebenarnya keadaan di dalam Band sendiri mulai tumbuh masalah salah satunya dipecatnya manajer mereka, Alan Niven dan digantikan oleh Doug Goldstein, masalah Steven dengan drugs & alkohol yang mengakibatkan ditendangnya Steve dan posisinya diisi oleh Mat Sorum.

Dengan materi lagu yang berlimpah, dirilislah Use Your Illusion I dan II (17 desember 91)yang menduduki posisi #1 dan 2 di chart Billboard perlu dicatat, ini adalah dual album pertama yang menduduki posisi tersebut. kedua album itu bahkan sukses bertengger disana sampai 108 minggu. Sebelum dirilis GnR terlebih dulu mengadakan tur promo panjang selama 28 bulan yang berhasil menyita perhatian percaturan rock dunia dan sukses meraih kesuksesan finansial dari tur tersebut dan banyak kejadian kontroversial dari tur tersebut.oh iya, Dizzy Reeds dimasukkan sebagai anggota tetap ke enam, dan tetap bertahan hingga sekarang.

Perilaku Axl di atas panggung pun kerap memancing kerusuhan bahkan berbuntut nyawa seperti di 1988 Monsters of Rock Castle Donington, , atas hal terasebutlah GnR di beri label “the most dangerous band in the world” , kejadian lain yang patut disorot jugga sewaktu konser di saint luis dalam promo album UUI sewaktu memainkan Rocket Queen, axl mendapati ada seorang fans yang merekamnya dengan kamera, melihat hal itu secara spontan axl langsung terjun ke tengah crowd merebut kamera tersebut, membantingnya lalu berujar “Thanks to the lame-ass security, I’m going home!”. Penghentian konser secara tiba tiba membuat penonton mengamuk dan merusak stage serta peralatan GnR. Atas kejadian tersebut Axl dinyatakan beralah dan diwajibkan membayar denda $50.000. Begitupula di konser GnR yang sepanggung dengan Metallica. Karena cedeara lengan yang dialami oleh james heitzfield (karena terbakar pyrotechnics secara tidak sengaja ) sehingga membuat Metallica mengakhiri konsernya lebih cepat dari yang direncanakan. Untuk menanmbal hal itu, diharapkan GnR mampu melunasi kekecewaan para fans, namun setelah bermain hanya dalam waktu 50 menit axl menyudahinya dengan berkata “Thank you, your money will be refunded”, yah massa pun mengamuk lagi. Tidak cukup sampai disitum hobi Axl menghentikan show di tengah acara nampalnya masih berlanjut hingga Juni 11, 2006, Guns N’ Roses Download Festival di Donington Park GnR yang kedatangan Izzy straddlin di konser tersebut diakhiri karena Axl mendapati barang yang dilempar ke atas panggung.

Selama tur tersebut, Axl megakuisisi royalti penggunaan nama band mereka dari para personil lainya. Hal tersebut menyebabkan ketegangan internal dan berujung pada hengkangnya Izzy di 7 november 91 dan digantikan Gilby Clark selama 2 tahun lalu di replace lagi oleh teman masa kecil Axl : Paul Tobias. Yup, seperti yang kalian tau, disaat Axl menggantikan porsi lead Slash kepada Tobias di lagu cover “Sympathy for the Devil” membuat Slash ngambek dan marah hingga cabut kemudian disusul oleh Matt Sorum, dan Duff, meninggalkan hanya Axl dan Dizzy Reed sebagai personil era Use Your Illusion yang tersisa.

Slash dan Duff yang telah hengkang sempat berhadapan dengan Axl untuk mencegah dirilisnya Greatest Hits dimana mereka gagal. di tahun 2005 mereka kembali menuntut Axl atas royalti lagu lagu mereka. Selain tetap eksis di GnR versi Axl, Axl juga kerap muncul di berbagai side project seperti ikut menyumbang vokalnya di album angel-down nya Sebastian Bach ex-Skid Row.

Slash biografi

Saul Hudson (lahir 23 Juli 1965),lebih sering diketahui sebagai Slash sebagai nama panggungnya, adalah seorang gitaris berkebangsaan Amerika-Inggris. Slash adalah mantan lead guitarist Guns N’ Roses dan sekarang sebagai lead guitarist Velvet Revolver.

Slash yang identik dengan Gibson Lesaul ini lahir di Hampstead, pinggiran kota London. Ayah Slash berasal dari Inggris, sedangkan ibunya keturununan Amerika-Afrika. Ibu Slash, Ola Hudsons, adalah seorang perancang pakaian yang bekerja untuk David Bowie, dan bapaknya adalah seorang seniman yang menyumbang ansambel hidup bagi musisi terkenal termasuk Neil Young dan Joni Mitchell. Slash dbesarkan di kota Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, sampai ia berumur 11 tahun, saat orang-tuanya memindahkan keluarganya ke Los Angeles, California di pertengahan tahun 1970. Tetapi kemudian orang tua Slash berpisah, dan setelah itu, Slash tinggal bersama ibunya dan David Geffen. Dia diberikan nama panggilan “Slash” oleh teman keluarganya, [[Seymour Cassel]. Saat berumur 16, sebelum ia dikeluarkan dari sekolah Crespi Carmelite, Slash diberikan gitar pertamanya oleh neneknya. Gitar itu hanya mempunyai 1 helai tali (string). Dia menghabiskan setiap harinya untuk berlatih. Akhirnya, fokus seluruhnya dipertaruhkan atas musik dan dia membuat keputusan untuk berhenti sekolah. Di artikel majalah Rolling Stone, katanya:“ My big awakening happened when I was fourteen. I’d been trying to get into this older girl’s pants for a while, and she finally let me come over to her house. We hung out, smoked some pot and listened to Aerosmith’s Rocks. It hit me like a fucking ton of bricks . I sat there listening to it over and over, and totally blew off this girl. I remember riding my bike back to my grandma’s house knowing that my life had changed. Now I identified with something. ”
(Kebangkitan besar saya terjadi ketika saya berumur empat belas tahun. Saya sudah mencoba memasuki celana gadis ini yang lebih tua untuk sesaat, dan dia akhirnya membiarkan saya datang ke rumahnya. Kami berkeluyuran, menghisap beberapa batang dan mendengarkan lagu Aerosmith, Rocks. Itu memukul saya seperti tertimpa satu ton bata. Disamping Aerosmith, pengaruh awal Slash termasuk AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Iron Maiden, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Rolling Stone, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen dan Festival of Weeks. Pada tahun 1983, setelah gagal bergabung dengan Poison bersama teman masa kecilnya, Steven Adler, mereka bersama membentuk Road Crew. Slash menempatkan iklan di sehelai koran untuk bassis, dan setelah itu ia menerima jawaban dari Duff McKagan. Ketika Road Crew bubar, Slash bergabung dengan band lokal, Black Sheep. Diketuai oleh Willie Bass, band ini kemudian saling berbagi seorang agen dengan band lainnya, yang dikenal sebagai Hollywod Rose. Pada 1984, kedua band tersebut membuka untuk band Christian Metal Stryper. Setelah pertunjukan tersebut, Slash dan lead singer Axl Rose diperkenalkan kepada satu sama lain oleh seorang teman. Keduanya dengan cepat menjadi teman, dan setelah beberapa bulan, Slash dan Steven Adler diundang bergabung dengan Axl Rose, Duff McKagan dan Izzy Stradlin sebagai personel band, Guns N Roses.

Perlu diketahui, tanda tanda keretakan dari the most dangerous band in the world dimulai dengan berubahnya haluan musik dari Guns and Roses. Sifat egosentrisme Axl yang berniat untuk lebih banyak memasuk kan unsur prog ke dalam GnR, dari hal tersebut terciptalah trilogi Dont Cry, Estranged, dan mega ballad November Rain juga Coma yang dimasukkan ke Use Your Illusion dual album. Sementara Slash dan Duff lebih menginginkan unsur hard rock glam punk metal seperti formasi original GnR dahulu. Dalam Biografinya, Slash menjelaskan bahwa dia belum pernah berbicara secara langsung dengan Axl semenjak dia meninggalkan GnR di 96 lalu. Meski begitu, menurut saya mereka berdua sebenarnya adalah teman dekat, terbukti dengan dipecatnya Weiland ke STP yang saalah satu penyebabnya selain dari konser glasglow juga karena kritik pedasnya kepada Axl saat mereka perang mulut didepan media. Slash menyebutkan bahwa Weiland tidak punya “hak” untuk mengkritisi Axl karena dia tidaklah mengenalnya. Dalam salah satu konser GnR versi 2005 dimana ada salah seorang penonton yang mengenakan kaos “Where is Slash?” Axl yang melihatnya langsung berkata “Slash is in my ass, fuck head, go home”. kisah kedua orang ini menjadi drama klasik yang akan terus kita pantau perkembanganya .

Guns and Roses adalah salah satu “American Hard Rock” paling terkenal didunia.Musik mereka, (yang dengan unik merupakan gabungan dari blues,punk,dan glam musik) telah banyak banyak merubah pandangan dan arah serta definisi dari musik rock itu sendiri.Sebelum debut mereka pada tahun 1987 yang menggemparkan, glam rock adalah aliran musik yang paling dominan saat itu, musik keras mereka yang di barengi dengan penampilan panggung mendapatkan tempat tersendiri bagi penggemar mereka.dan menjelaskan satu hal: mereka adalah masa depan dari musik rock!!

GnR mendunia dengan penjualan yang lebih dari 20 JUTA kopi,dan menduduki peringkat TERATAS dari seluruh charts rock di Amerika dengan lagu yang luar-biasa dan akan dikenang sepanjang masa semacam:Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o’mine dan Paradise city dimana semua lagu tersebut menduduki 10 besar di Billboard charts. Sampai sekarang, ini merupakan album debut paling dahsyat sedunia!!

Album kedua dan ketiga GnR yang berjudul Use Your Illusion dan Use Your Illusion2 (keduanya dirilis di saat yang sama) menduduki nomor 1 dan 2 di Billboard Charts saat pertamakali diluncurkan.Bahkan konser dan tour mereka sukses besar untuk para fans.

Band ini terbentuk pada tahun 1985 di Los Angeles dengan Axl rose sebagai front man,Tracii Guns sebagai gitar bersama Izzy Stradlin, bass pada Ole Beich serta drummer Rob Gardner (formasi ini berubah dengan masuknya Slash dan Steven Adler). Nama Guns and Roses sendiri merupakan gabungan dari 2 band mereka yang sebelumnya terpisah:Hollywood Rose dan L.A. Guns.

Kesuksesan besar yang membuat nama mereka meroket dan menjadikan mereka sebagai simbol rock tahun itu juga berpengaruh banyak pada kehidupan mereka, Alkohol dan obat-obatan terlarang mulai mewarnai kehidupan para personelnya,bahkan Slash(yang akhirnya pindah dan bergabung dengan Velvet Revolver) membawa keduanya (alkohol&narkoba) keatas panggung!!

Kejadian lain yang pantas disorot adalah: kematian 2 orang fans mereka di tengah konser. Kejadian tersebut terjadi saat kerumuman menjadi liar dan tidak terkontrol diwaktu GnR muncul di panggung dan memulai konsernya saat itu.Guns and Roses dituding sebagai yang bersalah atas kematian mereka dan men-Capnya sebagai “band paling berbahya didunia”!! Axl dan kawan2 sendiri baru tahu kalau ada yang tewas di konser mereka setelah pertunjukan selesai dan dengan sukses media menjadikan mereka sebagai kambing hitam.

Status “Dewa Rock” mereka dapatkan dari perjalanan jauh yang telah ditempuhnya sampai sekarang. Album terakhir yang mereka rilis:Greatest hits di tahun 2004 sukses mendapatkan doble platinum, hal tersebut setidaknya menunjukkan kalau Guns And Roses mempunya arti sendiri bagi perkembangan rock tahun ini.

Seguir els partits des del lateral té una cosa positiva, i és que agafes una bona perspectiva de les coses, pots copsar molts detalls. Dissabte, em va sorprendre l’ambient que s’hi respirava, al Nou Estadi. No semblava el primer partit a casa de la temporada, aquell que vas a veure amb il·lusió i amb ganes, després de molts mesos sense poder gaudir del teu equip en competició.

Semblava una altra cosa. Semblava un partit del mes de febrer, en què l’equip està perdut en la zona baixa de la classificació i ja ha donat moltes decepcions als seus seguidors.

Per què hi ha aquesta crispació, al Nou Estadi, a la mínima que  les coses no rutllen al 100 per 100?

Suposo que ho puc intuir, però us asseguro que, des del lateral, puc veure perfectament que això no beneficia en res a l’equip. Els nervis es contagien massa fàcilment, i a vegades, la diferència entre una bona passada i una altra que es perd pel camí és la confiança del jugador que l’executa.

Està bé que tots plegats siguem ambiciosos, però com diuen els anuncis de whiski, ho hem de ser amb moderació.

Penseu en l’exemple dels Mundials d’atletisme i el que li va passar a la millor saltadora de perxa de la història, l’Helena Isimbaieva. Es va posar tanta pressió, es va posar el llistó tan alt d’inici, que la va espifiar i es va quedar sense medalla. Amb el Nàstic, pot passar el mateix.

Per qüestions òbvies, detesto els tòpics futbolístics, però ara, faré de jugador amb poc cap i diré allò de “hem d’anar pas a pas”, partit a partit.

Senyors, això acaba de començar, i l’equip, encara que ens costi, es mereix un vot de confiança, un “reset” mental de tothom que permeti mirar cap a endavant sense saltar a la jugular al mínim error. Això seria posar les coses massa fàcils als rivals que ens visiten.

Cada setmana, us voldré recomanar una cançó, per posar una banda sonora a la temporada que acabem d’encetar. Avui, per començar, us en recomano una de força explícita: “Patience”, dels Guns n’Roses. A tots ens caldria tenir-ne una miqueta més…

Talvez seja essa a resposta que você, ou qualquer outra pessoa, quando perguntado sobre o Chinese Democracy, de 2008, venha a cabeça.

O album começou a ser feito em 1997 pelo único remanescente da formação clássica do Guns, Axl Rose (tá, tinha o tecladista também, nada contra, mas não conta). O último disco da banda era o Use Your Illusion I e II, e desde a separação de Slash, Izzy e Duff McKagan (que formaram o Velvet Revolver depois de alguns anos), rumores começaram a aparecer de que um novo album seria lançado.

Foi então que começaram todas as expectativas em torno do album, e talvez o que tenha atrapalhado ele. Se você se lembra de quando era jovem, ou mesmo tenha vivenciado a geração Guns (alias, me lembro vividamente do poster, aquele da cruz com as caveiras, no quarto do meu irmão), sabe que tal expectativa não era em vão. Tanta expectatica parece ter gerado inúmeras mudanças no album, inclusive, e obviamente, no timbre da voz do Axl, o que torna as músicas ao vivo bem diferentes.

Mas não posso reclamar. Gostei muito do album, principalmente pelo fato de os antigos músicos da banda serem insubstituiveis, o que só dificulta na avaliação do album, principalmente quando se trata da guitarra principal e do baixo.

Chinese Democracy é o título da primeira faixa e único single do album, com riff marcante e um bom vocal do Axl, send ouma das melhores faixas, e talvez a que mais remete as origens da banda.

Shackler’s Revenge também apareceu antes do lançamento do album no Guitar Hero 2, e mostra a idéia do Axl sobre elementos um poucos mais industriais, mas nada que deixe a música ruim, pelo contrário. Better é uma boa balada hard rock. Street of Dreams mostra o clássico piano do Guns.

A quinta música é If the World, que pra mim é a melhor do album, com o vocal “muito bem feito”, com a guitarra trabalhada e um ótimo teclado (olha ele ai!). Bom, como a música é muito boa e a Universal Group esta retirando todos os videos deles do youtube, colocarei a musica no guitar hero! =/

Catcher in the Rye volta a seguir a linha industrial com um solo tipo Slash.  There was a Time é mais uma música com um vocal muito bem feito, dúvido o ver o Axl fazer estes falsetes ao vivo! Scraped, apesar da introdução, e Riad n’ The Bedouins, são outras duas boas músicas e bem pesadas, com boas pegadas de bateria, até antes não vistas no album.

O album segue com Sorry e I.R.S. A décima segunda música é Madagascar, que com certeza não e a melhor da banda, mas talvez reflita um pouco do novo momento da dela:

O album ainda contém This is Love e Protistute, sendo que a qualidade de suas gravações não parece muito boa.

Alias, dois interessantes pontos do album são: você consegue identificar claramente quais músicas foram trabalhadas, com mais de uma guitarra e bons backing vocals as primeiras) e outras que parecem estar só para encher linguaça (as ultimas). E o outro ponto são os solos de guitarra, que algumas vezes são criativos e outras apenas uma cópia dos dolos do Slash.

Lógico, a banda nova nunca chegara aos pés da antiga isso não há discussão. No entanto o album é muito bom, não fiquei com dúvidas disso, você só precisa enetender que agora o nome Guns n’Roses signifiva Axl Rose solo.

Ps.: A Universal Group, como citei acima, retirou os videos do Chinese Democracy do Youtube… “boa” estratégia de divulgação, deixaram apenas aqueles que se referem ao Rock in Rio ou ao Guitar Hero. Meio non-sense, já que o album também ficou caracterizado por ter vazado na intenet bem antes do lançamento. Se todos já tem o album, por que não divulga-lo, agora? Só um desabafo meio que baseado no último post.

Axl, nowadays

          Axl and gang were to start at 9 pm. They started at 11. By the time they claimed the stage, we were pissed off, tired and impatient. The cheering had turned into booing…Everyone started talking about James Brown, who also was to perform on the same day, at the same time at a different venue, as if they liked him. But finally axl and his gang came, it was all forgotten. Axl rocked. New image, new band members… Sure Slash was missed. There were 3 guitarists  and at one point the number became 5; with the addition of two guests. So I get 5 for one? I still missed the all the OTHER guys. Sure the guitarists were good. But they weren’t that good. They lacked the charisma and the chemistry between Slash and Duff. I would love to see the old days….

          But hey, I was 9 in 93, give me a break! But the thing is I am pretty sure if I had seen Velvet Revolver live, I would miss Axl. Since I can’t have them both, what I got was pretty good. Axl might be an asshole, and romantically the guy of any sane girl’s nightmare…But as a front-man, he kicks ass. His extreme stage of egomania probably comes from the fact that he knows how he good he is. He runs and dances and excites the crowd. In fact I can compare him to Joe ( Joe Elliot of Def leppard) and Jon (Bon jovi) and he is number one with them ! We had fun!!! I even liked the new songs. Sure, he could have stayed longer. He could have  made a comeback. The band could have played more songs instead of doing so many long and sometimes irrelevant solos.But it was a kick-ass start. He was on fire. We were on fire. Him playing the piano, for November Rain… Dizzy, also an old member;playing the piano, firecrackers… Welcome to the Jungle, Out to Get me, November Rain, Live and Let Die,Knocking on Heaven’s Door, Mr. Brownstone, Nighttrain, You could be mine, Patience…But the final was with Paradise City- my biggest love, as gunsnroses go. With fireworks and confetti. All around, multi-colored…It was fucking amazing! Yes, it was a 9er out of 10. It was fun. Ray was right. Good show. And yes, I love AXL ROSE and I am not afraid to say it!!!He was also a good boy on stage, which took me by surprise. He was sincere, took the sign from a boy that said : Mum, you don’t need to worry. I am with Axl now.! He loved it. We loved it. It was a good night. And once again : Yes, I do love Axl!!!!!!!!!!
