Ever since ATI took nvidia’s flagship status away from them with the 4870X2, rumours have run

Ever since ATI took nvidia’s flagship status away from them with the 4870X2, rumours have run wild would what nvidia would have up its sleeve to combat it. With the mediocre release of a new GTX 260 now behind us rumours have resurfaced that we could see nvidia’s new flagship model by years end.

An anonymous source within the ranks of nvidia has is stated the card will be manufactured on a 55nm process with 2 GTX 280 chips and employ GDDR5 memory. If these rumours prove to be true this will be one hell of a card should be able to render crysis at 2560×1600 with quad SLI enabled. As for pricing we expect nothing under US$600 or AU$800 on release.

Aunque el título sugiera una cosa extraña como podría ser una filtración con imágenes de los ordenadores de la NASA, en este caso siento deciros que no es así, pero sí vais a poder ver lo más parecido a uno de los ya mencionados. Y aquí lo podeís ver;

The GeForce 9800 GX2 is the company’s second card to combine dual chipsets and merges two 9800-series chipsets into a single design that is said to be faster than two GeForce 9600 GT cards. While clocked lower at 600MHz versus the 650MHz of the less expensive card, the much larger 512-bit memory interface and 2GHz effective video memory help edge out most two-card solutions.

As part of the 9 series, the GX2 also inherits the other benefits of the lineup, including full HD video decoding in hardware, PCI Express 2.0 support, and support for quad SLI by using a second GX2 for a total of four video chipsets in a single system. The added performance requires extra power and should see at least a 580-watt power supply for a single card and a full 850 watts for a system with two of the cards installed.

Video cards are to be available today from ASUS, BFG, and several other high-profile manufacturers with an estimated price of $600. Most will include two dual-link DVI outputs as well as an HDMI output with a separate SPDIF output for routing surround sound as well as graphics to a home theater system.

And the Mini got lost, the Smart was tucked in someone’s pocket and was left at JFK, and the Ford is just a damn copycat, showing up and doing what everyone else does (yep, it ain’t getting off the hook so easily)

You will without a doubt have noticed that the top green car is not a Prius (which is the only green car I can think of). Actually I really can’t call them cars. First of all, if it can’t go above 60mph (100kph) it’s not a car. And I’ve got proof, look at the picture of the Civic GX2 below; THAT is not a car. It’s something from outer space.

Which is what all “green” cars look like. Why can’t they make it prettier? Lexus did a damn fine job.
