O senador Ernie Chamberes, do estado de Nebraska, abriu um processo contra Deus no condado de Douglas.

Conhecido por críticas aos cristãos, o democrata disse no processo, que abriu semana passada, que Deus gera medo e que é responsável por milhões de mortes e destruições pelo mundo. Segundo ele, Deus gerou “inundações, furacões horríveis e terríveis tornados”.

Chamberes comentou que Deus fez ameaças terroristas contra ele e seus eleitores.

Conforme o senador, ele abriu o processo em Douglas porque Deus está em todos as partes.

Segundo Chamberes, a iniciativa foi uma forma de protestar contra o alto número de processos que são abertos pelos americanos que ele considera ridículos.

Ainda não se sabe quem será o advogado de Deus…

We finally finished the carrying cases for Optikerne in Copenhagen. They orered 4 of the custom aluminium boxes. All of them featured our trademark crocodile and black leather band.

The engraved crocodiles are actually designs for a sculpture by Royce Milaskey. 4 of them were cast in bronze in Hungray in 2004. They stand on marble bases about 2 meters high and feature either a blown glass lamp or propane flame. They can now be found in Sun Valley Idaho.

I wear glasses(probably mentioned this before)

I have worn them since I was 3 years old (not the same pair, obviously). There are many pictures of me at that age(I was VERY willing to be a photo subject for my shutter happy dad) and I cringe a little to see them.

In those days, there wasn’t much choice for children’s glasses frames; in fact there were two styles, one for boys and one for girls. The girls had a choice between pink or baby blue, but both were an appalling, “cats eye”, style which was certainly cute for adults but made children look like they were squinting(great).

I was ALWAYS, “losing” them, and luckily my mother knew how to utilise the fact that my brother and I played together as he usually knew where the glasses were “lost”…

Anyhow it was good that I had the kind of parents who noticed early in my life that I needed corrective lens. I have heard many stories from people who suffered trying to see for YEARS before any notice was taken of their squinting or trouble with school work.

I cannot wear contacts, both because it would be difficult to fit my perscription  and also because the very thought of having a foreign object on my eye just grosses me out…

Today I am happy that there are more than cat’s eye frames available to me, and that I can see as clearly as anyone without  glasses.

I actually LIKE wearing my glasses now. I know some people who think that glasses add allure and are a bit jealous of my having them! H thinks that they are sexy , and that is the BEST compliment!

There is the rare occasion when one’s glasses break, or wear out. This happened just yesterday and luckily it was not from misuse but simply wear and tear.

I was WORRIED that I would have to pay for a complete new set or worse, be without them for a long time but happily they can be fixed in one day, so that is a big relief…

DIE HÖLLE DER LEBENDEN TOTEN
(Italien 1980)

Nach einem Unfall in einer Chemiefabrik, werden die Bewohner von Neuguinea mehrheitlich zu Zombies. Eine vierköpfige Elitetruppe, sowie eine Journalistin samt Kameramann befinden sich ebenfalls vor Ort.

Die Beschreibung lässt es bereits erahnen: Dem Film fehlt jeder Ansatz von Zusammenhang, Story oder Spannung. Die einzelnen Szenen sind fast vollkommen unzusammenhängend. Die Charaktere sind lächerlich gezeichnet, was nicht zuletzt an den durchweg schlechten Leistungen der Schauspieler liegt.
Der Streifen klaut ein wenig bei Romeros “Dawn of the Dead” und einigen Kannibalenfilmen. Hier sein vor allem die unzähligen eingespielten Tieraufnahmen, welche sich darüber hinaus deutlich von der Qualität des übrigen Materials abheben, zu erwähnen.
Immerhin bietet der Film durchgehend Splattereinlagen. Diese sind zwar von eher billiger Machart, stellen aber den einzigen Punkt dar, der dieses Machwerk vor dem Totalausfall bewahrt. Eine Hand voll der Splatterszenen wissen darüber hinaus sogar zu überzeugen und dürften somit dem geneignten Gorehound ein Lächeln auf Gesicht zaubern.

Ingesamt bleibt festzuhalten, dass der Film langweilig, storybefreit und schauspielerisch höchst beschränkt ist. Lediglich der recht hoher Blutzoll rettet Streifen ein wenig.

Wie der Name schon sagt, werde ich mit einer Review-Reihe über alle meine mehr oder minder guten Lidschatten beginnen.

Den Anfang macht ein Lidschattenset, dass ich bei einer Tour durch H&M entdeckt habe. Ich schätze es gehört zur Silvester/Weihnachtskollektion, insofern ist Eile geboten.

Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich momentan nicht viel sagen, aber sobald ich sie getragen habe, informiere ich Euch.
Die Farben sind einfach toll. Sie glitzern sehr fein aber kräftig und alle Farben, die man für die Wintersaison gebrauchen kann sind vorhanden.

Bei einem Preis von ca. 7€ kann man also für 10 Lidschatten nicht meckern.

As avitaminoses ou hipovitaminoses são uma família de doenças causadas pela falta ou deficiência de vitaminas no organismo e é classificada segundo a vitamina em falta, embora algumas vezes tenha nome próprio. Geralmente devem-se a uma alimentação incompleta, mas podem também surgir na sequência de outros problemas de saúde. Algumas destas doenças, como o escorbuto, provavelmente a primeira avitaminose conhecida, podem ser tratadas apenas com suplementos vitamínicos. A falta de vitaminas podem provocar muitas doenças no nosso organismo, como por exemplo, a falta de vitamina A provoca sobretudo a falta de visão tanto nocturna como diurna; a falta de vitamina B como as restantes do seu complexo origina doenças como beribéri (fraqueza muscular e dificuldades respiratórias). First Line: “All right,” said the straw-haired woman in the denim jacket. “Do your thing.”

Harper Connelly has traveled to Texas with her stepbrother Tolliver to do a job. They like to travel to Texas, it allows this to see their little sisters. But what they learn while in Texas is worse than they could have ever imagined anything. First they learn that Tolliver’s father is out of prison and is trying to re-establish family connections. After they finish the job that brought them to Texas, Tolliver is shot. But the police think that Tolliver was not the intended target, that Harper was. While Tolliver is recovering in the hospital, Harper is trying to figure out what is going on. She has a feeling that there is a connection between their last job and Tolliver being shot, but she can’t possibly figure out what it is. And the fact that Tolliver’s father is back in the mix only makes matters worse for her. However, what she will ultimately find out will turn her world upside down. Harper finally finds out what happened to her sister so many years ago, but what the truth reveals is something far more disturbing than anyone ever thought possible.

This is the fourth (and, sadly) the last in the Harper Connelly series. Although Ms. Harris left a small opening for another book in this series, she has mentioned in numerous places on her website that she is finished with Harper. And honestly, I can see where it would be hard to go anywhere else with this series. Although a lot of people might have been turned off by the relationship between Harper and Tolliver, I didn’t find it all that problematic. In fact I can see where it can be quite common – however, I would have thought that the attraction would have happened when they were teenagers. However, having Harper and Tolliver together practically 24/7 on the road made it kind of inevitable also. I personally liked Harper’s character. I thought that the gift that Harris thought up for her was quite interesting, and her descriptions of how she did her work were interesting. However, I have a rather large complaint about this book – there was very little action in regards to what Harper does as a living. She came in and did her “thing” within the first chapter and that was that. The rest of the book was mainly about Tolliver recovering and Harper trying to figure out what was going on with the help of Manfred. I rated this book a 4/5 simply because I felt it was a little rushed in places. It was like Ms. Harris was trying her hardest to wrap this series up as quickly as possible. There were also more than a few grammar/spelling errors (which I have noticed is a common thing in Ms. Harris’ books). Overall I thought that this was a pretty decent way to end this series, and that although I am sad to see the end of this series, I am also glad to have a conclusion.

Ai impresia la primele acorduri că asculţi o trupă pop irlandeză. Cu primele două piese (Nu-mi pasă şi Aiurea), Hara promitea să fie Phoenix-ul anilor 2000. Vioara şi vocea dădeau o amprentă melancolic-alternativă (în stil Cranberries) proiectului din Bistriţa-Cluj. Flavius Buzilă are o voce potrivită pieselor pop-rock pentru adulţi compuse pe albumul de debut (AOR, Adult Oriented Rock). Este păcat că s-a înstrăinat de componenţa iniţială şi de stilul abordat la debut.

Pe măsură ce înaintăm în album, avem impresia că se diluează puţin compoziţiile. Lasă are un iz de Nu-mi pasă, retuşat în ritmuri tradiţionale. Care pe care, ca titlu, are tentă de hip hop (muzica la moda în epoca respectivă). Dealtfel este cea mai dura piesă, cu riffuri puternice de chitară şi anumite pasaje de versuri rimate in stil rap. Ultima bucată, Hara, se pliază pe noua modă în muzică, unde artistul cântă o piesă unde işi repetă numele la nesfârşit. Asta a fost probabil o piesă de umplutură … ca să se adune cifra impresionantă de 8 piese (majoritatea albumelor la vremea aia fiind lansate în format EP sau maxi-single, cu doar 6 piese, dintre care 3 erau remixuri).

Ca înregistrare, există mici defecte care puteau fi aranjate altfel. Pe unele piese, chitara bas este prea tare, nepotrivită genului promovat, efectul fiind că vocea nu se mai aude la fel de bine.

Who is Hera ?

When ya know who HERA was on the Greek Mythos, ya may imagine how a flirt like me might feel !!!

In the Olympian pantheon of classical Greek Mythology, Hera was the wife and older sister of Zeus (ok… they gat a strange sense of familly !). Her chief function was as goddess of women and marriage.

The cow, and later, the peacock were sacred to her (two animals not available on Sage fer now).

Hera was born of Cronus and Rhea but was swallowed by her father (a gourmet I guess) after birth due to a prophecy that one of his children would take over the throne. Zeus was not swallowed because of a plan hatched by Rhea and Gaia. Rhea wrapped a stone in baby clothes and gave it to Cronus.

Rhea later gave Cronus a herb which, she said, could make him completely invincible, but it actually made him regurgitate the five other Olympians: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon, as well as the previously ingested stone.

 Portrayed as majestic and solemn, often enthroned, and crowned, Hera may bear a pomegranate in her hand, emblem of fertile blood and death and a substitute for the narcotic capsule of the opium poppy. (Now ya know why pomegranates worth that much on SAGE!!!)

 Hera was known for her jealous and vengeful nature, most notably against Zeus’s paramours and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her, such as Pelias.

Paris offended her by choosing Aphrodite as the most beautiful goddess, earning Hera’s hatred (And then Trojan’s people had to organise a moving!).
