The Manhattan Declaration: A Call to Christian Conscience or a gutless publicity stunt??? Let me say up front that I support 100% every word in the Manhattan Declaration. I also have great admiration for the contribution to the Kingdom many of the men and women who signed this docuemnt have made. But the fact is, it is little more than a publicity stunt by some very high profile ministries that they can use to raise millions of dollars for their next buildiing or jet plane, while NOHTING THEY DID will change the spritual course of this naiton!!!

LET ME TELL YOU WHAT IS BETTER THAN THAN THE MANHATTAN DECLARATION……THE BIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Without question, the greatest problem we have in Christendom in the year 2009 is a void in real spiritual leadership. A true spiritual leader is one who has the courage and intestinal fortitude (guts) to take a stand for God’s Truth regardless of what people think, say, or do. A true spiritual leader is never going to win any popularity contests since the masses live in rebellion to God’s Truth. A true spiritual leader is not concerned with the temporal things of this world, so he can’t be bought. A true spiritual leader will be hated, reviled, attacked in every way, and literally give his very life for the Faith. A true spiritual leader is accountable to and answers to only one person…GOD!!! It was sickening a few months ago to see Pastor Rick Warren on “Larry King Live” say, “I wrote to all my gay friends – the leaders that I knew – and actually apologized to them.” For what? For taking a Biblical stand on one of the issues that is literally ripping out the soul of this nation and causing the judgment of God on our land? I tried for years to warn people about this man who enters into unholy associations for his own benefit. Warren is more concerned with the feelings of men than the feeling of God. He is more concerned with advancing his global social agenda than the agenda of God. He actually bragged about not being an anti-gay activist and that this issue was not important to him. He said battling homosexuality was not part of his agenda.

*Note:.It is always interesting to see men like Warren, Jakes, and Osteen boldly declare Christ in their pulpit, but when given the opportunity to go into the marketplace, on a mainstream secular program with the lost world watching, they parse words, become cowards, and for fear of losing their earthly position, refuse to declare the Truth of God’s Word and the FACT that Jesus is the ONLY hope and the ONLY answer for this world and for each person!

Verbal and physical violence is the usual response against those who have the courage to tell the Truth. Let me be blunt. The number one reason YOU don’t witness your faith like you should is the fact you don’t want to be verbally assaulted by your unsaved family members, friends, co-workers, classmates, neighbors, or simply those God allows to cross your path. It is much easier to simply say nothing than to take the verbal abuse that often comes with sharing your faith. Let me ask you a serious question, one that I want you to pray about today. Are you more worried about what someone will say to you or pleasing God? That is a question only you can answer, but one you need to pray about.

Since Christians virtually abandoned the culture decades ago, the voices in the world today are all voices who deny God, reject His Truth, and mock His Son. Turn on any secular television program, radio program, read any secular publications, and what you get is a steady diet of images and messages in rebellion to God’s Truth. Let me give you a great example. Political satirist Bill Maher has a program on HBO that deals with the political and social issues of our day. He openly mocks Christianity and uses his “pulpit” to blast Believers and mock the Truth. TEN TIMES more people read the Daily Devotional each day than watch his program, yet Maher has been given a HUGE VOICE in the marketplace by the secular media to spew his hatred for Christ, God’s people, and the Truth of God’s Word he has rejected.

This is why those who God raises up in leadership positions have got to be true spiritual leaders. Not leading people in our self-created “trough,” but boldly and visibly leading people in the marketplace. I know personally of 3 current programs on TBN that have had to change their programs to comply with TBN’s “Muslim friendly” requirements. I have told each of them personally they are gutless cowards to let anyone stop them from telling the Truth. They are more worried about being on TBN so they can generate donations, product sales, and attract people to their public appearances than they are telling the Truth.

The few who have ventured into the marketplace have done so with a watered-down, politically correct, “positive” message that insures nobody is offended. The problem with that is the Bible itself states that the Truth is offensive to those who reject it. How can you preach the unadulterated Truth of God’s Word and not offend people? The goal is not to offend but to tell the Truth as God has clearly stated it, however, the result of telling the Truth is that people will be offended. Look at what happened to those who heard Stephen simply state the Truth. They got so “offended,” they literally took him to the edge of the city and stoned him to death!

The word I have for you today is this. Don’t wait for someone to lead you. You already have your marching orders from the commander-in-chief Himself! We have been ordered to go out into the highways and byways and bring in the lost. God ordered us to go into the world and preach the Gospel. Don’t wait for someone to lead you, as the Nike commercial says, JUST DO IT! Go forth knowing that the arm of the Lord is with you. Know up front that you will be attacked as you enter the battle field. However, God told us in Ephesians 6 that our battle is not with flesh and blood, that it is a spiritual battle. He also has equipped us with all needed to fight and win!

Let me give you a personal testimony. Since Liveprayer began over 10 years ago, more than 5 million subscribers to the Daily Devotional have unsubscribed. There are a multitude of reasons, but from the feedback we receive well over 90% of them unsubscribed because they disagreed with what God said in His Word on a particular issue. You see, I could simply play the game, tell everyone how wonderful things are, give them a nice positive message every day, not deal with the hard realities of life, and probably have over 4 million subscribers. But I don’t do this every day for numbers, or to make people laugh, but to bring God’s Truth into people’s lives.

Less than 1/4 of 1% of the people we reach EVER give a dime to support God’s work here. I know from feedback a huge percentage will NEVER give to the work here because of the Biblical stands I take on the issues of the day. Again, I am not here to see how much money I can raise, but to bring God’s Truth to people’s lives. Out of the 40,000 plus emails we get each day, several hundred are some of the most vile and hateful things you can ever imagine. 8 to 10 times a month I have people literally threaten my life for simply sharing the Truth of God’s Word in the Daily Devotional or on the television program. The point is, you get used to the attacks, they are simply part of taking a stand for Christ. You can’t let it bother you. You have to have faith God is watching over you, and ultimately, you can never forget you aren’t here to please men but please God!

Don’t forget, you have the TRUTH of God on your side. Your job is simply to share that Truth with the lost and hurting. What those who hear the Truth do is than between them and God. You can’t save anyone. You can’t force someone how to think. You can’t make a person act a certain way. Your job is simply to go forth and present the uncompromised Truth of God’s Word. Never forget, you don’t have to apologize for telling the Truth!!!

Even as I type these words, God is already raising up men and women who will without shame or fear or compromise, lead His people in these last days. They will be men and women above reproach, not dazzled by the trinkets of this world, but only concerned about serving their Lord. They won’t be interested in the applause of men, only the “well done” from God Himself. They won’t be preaching a “feel good” message to tickle the ears of the masses, but the hard Truth of God’s Word. You won’t find these men and women in the “trough,” they will be in the public square, taking on the mouthpieces of satan who seek to lead the souls of men into eternal damnation. They won’t have to ask you to follow them, you will WANT to follow them because you will know they are from God!

In the meantime, know that despite those who God raises up to lead, ALL of His children have been called to serve Him. As a follower of Christ, you don’t have the option of sitting home and watching, you have been commanded to serve. Know that God will guide you each day in your service, use you right where you live, work, and play. The greatest thing a servant of God can do is simply be a vessel of God’s Truth. Now more than ever, there is a void of Biblical Truth in the marketplace. If each follower of Christ would simply do their part in sharing that Truth, the world won’t just be hearing the lies of satan, but also the clear Truth of God’s Word.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will open your heart and hear God speaking to you today to step up and make a difference with your life. EVERY CHILD OF GOD HAS BEEN CALLED TO SERVE, AND EVERY CHILD OF GOD CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Know that you will be attacked for taking a stand for Christ, but that God will watch over you. Know that people may dislike you, even hate you for telling them the Truth, but your goal is not to please men, it is to please God. Go forth and tell the lost and hurting the Truth, and please, DON’T EVER APOLOGIZE FOR TELLING THE TRUTH!!!

However, this time we have the critical financial component through the Jonah Project and the Liveprayer Church. I have no doubt the Christians in the audience, and even many non-Christians who want to see this nation come back to traditional values, will not only sign up to be part of the Jonah Project, but support it financially. Also, many in the TV audience will be people who are looking for a church home, and no doubt many will become part of the Liveprayer Church. A portion of the donations to the Jonah Project and the tithes to the Liveprayer Church will go to pay for the airtime for the national radio and TV programs.

Here is the fleece I have laid before God and what I need you to pray for. There are many major secular TV networks willing to air the Liveprayer TV program live, 5 nights a week. We were told by one network after another that air the most disgusting programs you can imagine that our “content was too controversial” but are willing to air our program. I was getting very discouraged when God opened a door with a major secular network who has agreed to air the Liveprayer program “live” every Monday-Friday from Midnight-1am EDT all across the nation.

It will cost us $45,000 per night for the airtime, and we have to pay each quarter (13 weeks, 65 programs) in advance. That is $2,925,000. We can start any time. My friend, I am certain that if we can cover this first quarter worth of programs, we will be able to attract enough viewers to join the Jonah Project, as well as the new Liveprayer Church, to generate the funds we need to keep the program on the air.

I love you and care about you so much. Listen, you know my heart after all of these years. I could have taken the easy road and simply become another occupant of the Christian trough, generating millions of dollars, living a life of ease and luxury like so many others. I could have become part of the “Christian elite,” played the political games, run around with the “giants” whose name everyone knows like those who singed this Manhattan Declaration.

I am not interested in fame, or money, only SOULS! I am not interested in talking about souls, but SAVING SOULS! I am not interested in acting like we are doing something while men are dying and going to hell because nobody reached out to them and told them how to be saved, while our nation is in spiritual freefall. I am only interested in making sure ALL hear the Gospel and in turning this nation back to God. I don’t have any desire to be part of the religious establishment, only serve the Lord!

I am coming to you today to ask you to pray for God to move on the heart of one person, maybe two, maybe three or four, who have the resources and the heart for God to make a bold move and help me put together $3 million dollars by the end of this month. In addition to the airtime costs, we will need about $75,000 for the production costs for those 13 weeks.

The Liveprayer TV program is not some “good idea.” We have done over 1650 programs over the past 7 years and have the track record to prove it is successful. We only need to have 100,000 viewers a night, a minimal number we averaged the 10 weeks we were on nationwide in 2006. Only 1% of those viewers needs to sign up for the Jonah Project and make a $40 donation, and only 1/4 of 1% need to join the Liveprayer Church with only 20% of those people tithing $100 a week, for us to cover our nightly airtime costs. That is why I am CERTAIN we now have the model in place to cover the ongoing costs of the program if we can raise the $3 million we need for the first quarter.

I know there are some very talented, gifted, and resourceful people who are part of the Liveprayer family. People God has gifted in the area of finances. I need your help! Some of you have the resources and contacts to put together a small group of 3, 5, 10, 20 people. Others have great contacts with people who love the Lord and would be excited about a real opportunity to make a difference with some of what God has entrusted into their care. IT IS GOING TO TAKE ONE PERSON GOD HAS GIFTED AND ORDAINED TO SHARE MY BURDEN, MAKE IT YOUR BURDEN, AND HELP ME PUT THIS $3 MILLION TOGETHER. The fact is, there is NOBODY that has a live daily TV program on secular TV. It is hard to put into words the incredible impact such a program can have in the hearts and lives of the millions of people who will view it each day. I assure you that this TV program can not only help lead millions of souls to faith in Jesus Christ, but be a loud voice in the marketplace of God’s Truth that can lead this nation back to God and Biblical Truth.

I realize satan will stop at nothing to keep this program from airing and will cause many to dismiss this message. That is OK. It takes eyes to see and ears to hear. I am asking everyone today to please pray for the Lord to send the person or people who can help me put together this $3 million by the end of the month. Nothing on Christian TV is going to impact millions of lost souls or this nation because very few lost souls watch Christian TV, and after 40 years, the nation is in a worst spiritual condition than it has ever been in. It is clear that Christian TV has had virtually ZERO impact on our culture!

However, I know the impact the Liveprayer TV program has had over the years we have been on in Tampa and around Florida and across the nation. Even in just the 10 weeks we were on nationally in 2006, we still hear from people whose lives were impacted. It is a simple, yet powerful vehicle that can literally turn this nation back to God and His Truth. This is no doubt the last window we will have, since as the culture deteriorates, the ability to do such a program will be lost. As much money as $3 million is, it is nothing in the economy of this world. I picked up on a couple of headlines in the press last week that deserve entry into our Software Testing Hall of Shame.

Computerworld reported that the Co-operative bank was ‘losing customers’ through system problems.

Co-operative Financial Services has severe system problems that are causing it to lose online customers. Users told the BBC they were unable to access their accounts at times, and that transactions online often do not work.

Marc Palmer, from Gloucestershire, who runs a small business, told the BBC: “A lot of the time you can’t even log in. Other times, you can’t see your bank balances or any of your accounts listed. There comes a time when it’s damaging to your business.”

The bank is now set to upgrade its systems in response to the complaints of customers, who vowed to move to a competitor, BBC Radio 4’s Money Box programme found. John Hughes, director of retail products at the bank, apologised for the “inconvenience, difficulty, frustration and irritation we’ve caused our customers”.

FAA Computer Glitch Delays US Flights

Flights ground to a halt throughout the USA on Thursday morning, reported Stickyminds, after a mysterious computer glitch hampered a key Federal Aviation Administration flight processing system.

The system electronically inputs pilots’ flight plans to computers, telling air traffic controllers the anticipated route and altitude of each flight after taking off. ABC News, who originally broke the story, said Controllers they spoke to had to enter those plans manually, resulting in a slowdown of takeoffs and landings.

Speaking about the latest in a string of failures concerning The Large Hadron Collider, he says ‘Thinking about software testing: How many times has an app broken because of a bird brain with bread?’ If you haven’t read the story, It seems that the billion dollar piece of machinery has yet again gone caput, this time due to a bird dropping a piece of bread on a section of the accelerator!

Wow, this came up out of the blue.  Apparently what has happened is that someone hacked into a couple of pro Global Warming organizations and found some information that Al Gore does not want you to see.  Supposedly, this stuff shows how they have fought to keep information from the Freedom of Information requests that prove Global Warming is not happening.  They have changed temperature data to prove that global warming is a serious problem.  Does this really surprise anyone? 

I think that these scientists should really lose all credibility and credentials for being lying pieces of sh*t.  They should be ruined professionally and prevented from ever being a scientist again nor should they be able to take a lessor job in the scientific community.  However, this probably won’t happen but it really should.  I’m tired of dishonest scientists trying to govern my life and how I live it.   It should be MY decision on how I want to live my life and my finances should govern what I do…Not some dishonest scientist who are inflating temps for the purpose of deception.  Yes, Al Gore can kiss every inch of my big fat @ss.

Again, I’ve been told how I am part of the problem since I refuse to agree with the idiots.  Really, if there was a legitamite problem, would scientist have to inflate temps and use dishonest methods?  Absolutely not if it were real.  I have never done anything special for earth day.  In fact, I’ve left every light on in my house and went to work and had all of those lights on too each earth day.  I guess this makes me much smarter than 99% of liberals who believe this crap.  This even makes me 100% smarter than Barak Huisane Obama.  Wow, to think that I didn’t even go to Harvard.

Peer reviewed means absolutely nothing.  Peer reviewed just means this is a group conspiracy to bilk the country of all of it’s money and ruin it with such idiotic programs as Cap and Tax.  Again, if this was a legitimate theory then why would numbers have to be inflated and why would they have to use so much deception?  This is easy!  Because I’ve called it the Man-made Global Warming Scam.  It’s a scam for the suckers and the idiots.  Al Gore has the mentality of a snake oil salesman.

Even though this has been the coolest year for the US, Al Gore is out there saying that we are warming.  Really Al?  Ya think?  I’m sorry, most of us have had to wear warmer clothes this year because of the “warming!”  If Al is smart, he’ll get rid of his stocks and investments based on green things and start advocating that global warming does not exist.  That way he won’t wind up eating macaroni and cheese because his house of cards are coming down as this crap is exposed.  It’s hard to advocate global warming when we have emails from these so-called “Scientists” engaging in dishonest reporting to prove their stupid theory.

Again, most of what Al Gore said would happen, has not happened nor is it close to happen.  Why don’t the AP pull people from fact checking Sarah Palin and have them fact check the hypocrite Al Gore?

I finally replaced my Handbook of Obscure Remedies last night.  Lightbane Focus dropped off of the Twins in 10-man ToC, and I ended up with it.

So while I am happy about replacing the ilevel 200 item I have been carrying around for like 10 months, I feel like a dirty old man.

Evangelist Alamo sentenced to 175 years on sex charges

(CNN) — Evangelist Tony Alamo is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison after an Arkansas judge sentenced him to 175 years Friday on charges that included taking minors across state lines for sex, according to prosecutors.

A jury convicted Alamo in July on 10 federal counts covering offenses that spanned 11 years and dated back to 1994, according to documents from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.

Alamo, the 75-year-old founder and leader of Tony Alamo Christian Ministries, will serve the sentences on each count consecutively, for a total of 175 years in prison, prosecutors said.

In addition to his sentence, Alamo was fined $250,000, court documents showed.

His lawyer filed an appeal Friday.

Christopher Plumlee, assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, welcomed the sentence.

“Given the number of victims and the difficult type of testimony they had to provide in order to get to trial, it’s gratifying for them to see him get this sentence,” he said. “Not only did they entrust their lives to him, he did it in the name of God. And he betrayed their trust.”

Authorities in September 2008 arrested Alamo, whose real name is Bernie Hoffman, and raided his 15-acre compound near Texarkana, Arkansas.

An indictment released in November 2008 accused Alamo of transporting five girls across state lines for sex. The criminal complaint included accounts from three girls, two of whom were 17 when the complaint was released last year, and one who was 14.

All three said Alamo sexually abused them.

In a phone interview last year with CNN, Alamo called the accusations a hoax.

“They’re just trying to make our church look evil … by saying I’m a pornographer. Saying that I rape little children. … I love children. I don’t abuse them. Never have. Never will.”

It is a violation of the US Constitution for the government to attack any religion, especially Christianity!! My trial is government vs. the Bible. The five young women who are falsely testifying against me have all been convinced to do so by the FBI.

The FBI paid all of their tuition to go to a place called Wellspring, which is a “deprogramming center.” Deprogramming is a nice word for hypnosis, brainwashing, mind-control, voodoo, black magic. Their testimony is not to be believed because it is not true, and they are not in their right mind. They are under a hateful spell of witchcraft. They (in court) have all said that I, Tony Alamo, said, “The Lord said you are to marry me.” This is all a lie. I never told that to any one of them. Their testimonies cannot be believed because they are all uniformly brainwashed. They (the young women) never contacted the FBI; the FBI contacted every one of them and gave them thousands of dollars and many gifts to lie for them. The FBI is against the Bible, Christianity, God, and all Christian churches.  

The legal age of marriage is puberty. Webster’s Dictionary states childhood is the “state or time of being a child; state or time from birth or infancy to puberty or maturity.” Webster’s definition of puberty is “the age when one becomes capable to bear children, which is marked by maturing of the reproductive organs, with the onset of menstruation in the female; the period at which sexual maturity is reached.” The Bible says this as well.

Do you remember a few years ago when there was a cartoon in a Dutch newspaper depicting Muhammed with a bomb in his headdress? There were riots and people were actually killed over a CARTOON! Remember a year or so ago when Pope Benedict simply shared the historical fact that Islam was spread by violence and death and the Catholic churches that were burned down and the nuns killed by Muslims protesting his statements?

Do you remember the Islamic activist group CAIR that has ties to terrorist groups and operates in this country as an “advocacy group” for Muslims, and their 4 year campaign to take the Liveprayer TV program off this air for simply having the audacity to tell the truth about their false religion? After 1,175 programs and 4 1/2 yrs on the air, the gutless executives at CBS who owned the station we had broadcast on in Tampa since March of 2003 finally caved in to the intimidation and fear of this group. Over the years they had been successful in silencing other media personalities from saying anything negative about Islam, and I am certain, emboldened by their intimidation of CBS, is now doing all they can to take radio talk show host Michael Savage off the air.

These people are not about love or peace or unity. They are about one thing. Converting the world to their false religion and those who get in their way or who refuse to follow their lies will be silenced and killed. The word “Islam” literally means “submission.” Maybe you don’t understand what it means when their “holy book” says “death to all infidels.” An “infidel” by their definition is anyone who has not converted to their false beliefs. This is their book. These are their teachings. THIS IS WHAT ALL MUSLIMS BELIEVE!

That is why I was stunned the other day when I came across an article about many high profile Christian leaders who are forming some sort of alliance with top Muslim leaders. Jim Wallis, president of Sojourners, Leith Anderson, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, Pastors Rick Warren of Saddleback and Bill Hybles of Willow Creek, and Robert E. Cooley, president emeritus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, are just a few of the prominent Christians who have signed a letter issued by the Yale Center for Faith and Culture as a response to a letter signed last month by 138 representative Muslim leaders calling on the two Abrahamic faiths to love God and neighbors together.

Sounds nice doesn’t it? These Muslim clerics are not looking for love and peace, only mainstream acceptance! The very teachings of their false religion doesn’t call for this type of peace, only the DEATH of those who refuse to convert to their lies. I know these high profile Christians can’t be that stupid, so there has to be some other motivation. Sadly, I have documented for you in the past the key leaders who sold out in the 80s to Moon’s Unification Cult to give that lie from hell mainstream acceptance. Now, we have several very high profile prominent Christian leaders getting in bed with Muslim leaders!

Don’t these people read the Bible? The Bible says MUCH about who we associate with, about avoiding being associated with the wrong people. In Numbers 33:55, God warned Israel that bad associations would be a continual thorn in their side. In Exodus 34:12 and Ezra 9:14, Israel was specifically forbidden to develop relationships with ungodly nations. You can go all throughout the Bible and read God’s warnings and what He says about the type of relationships we enter into and those we associate with. That is why these ecumenical movements that seek to bring all the false religions and faiths of the world together as one is such a damnable lie. It is so damnable, in the final days there will be a One World Religion that all will be forced to be part of.

Some have asked what is wrong with being part of these groups with the false religions and cults of the world. Simple! THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUTH, THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE. In fact, this show was one of the first shows i have ever watched, but i dropped it back then. Why? Well, first episode was okay, but in second it started to feel booring, so i just gived up then. But, now i didn´t have anything better to do, so i decided to finish it now. But, let me tell you, it wasn´t worth of it.

STORY:
Kanokon’s story revolves around Kouta Oyamada, a young first-year high school student who moves from the country to the city and thus transfers to Kunpo High School. On his first day at his new school, a beautiful second-year female student named Chizuru Minamoto asks him to meet her alone in the music room. When he arrives, she reveals to him that she is in fact a fox deity and from that day on the two hang out together. Nozomu is a first year female student at Kouta’s school, she is in fact a wolf deity and in love with Kouta, and a rival of Chizuru for Kouta’s affections.

I didn´t expect anything for this show, in fact, i just picked it randomly. When i started to watch anime, i didn`t read any reviews, i just watched shows. Well, iif I had known, how booring this show was, maybe I wouldn´t have considered to watch it at all.

The story goes on too slow for my taste, and there is couple episodes, which feels like a filler. The ending of this show is so mediacore, and cliche, that it wasn´t a suprise. Overall, booring mediacore story.

CHARACTERS:

I REALLY thought that Kouta was gay for most of time. I mean, if I was in Kouta´s place, i would fu… nevermind, you know what i mean.

Chizuru is… well, that basic hot girl with big boobs, almost all harem shows has at least one that kind of girl. I kinda feeled bad for her, how she falled in love with some almost gay guy like Kouta. But, Chizuru is kinda anoying most of time.

Nozomu isn´t as anoying as Chizuru, i mean, she isn´t shouting all the time “I like to fu… i mean, do perverted thinks with Kouta!”, like Chizuru does. She is kinda cute… ya. Nothing more to say about her.

There is also some minor characters in the show, but they are not worth to say anything special. Just random, anoying idiots.

ART:

I don´t really think, thet there is anything wrong with ecchi… BUT too much is TOO MUCH. Rating: R+ – Mild Nudity… MILD???? It is almost hentai in sometimes, seriosly. ALL other thinks about the art was basic good, only too much ecchi+ fox- and wolfgirl.

MUSIC:

Openning and ending was basic stuff, not bad, but still average. I don´t remember almost anything about the soundtrack, so it wasn´t then too bad, or too good.

Overall: 4/10 (HALL OF SHAME)

Maaan… it took me almost a year, until i finished it. Too much ecchi, some times too booring, anoying characters, mediacore ending… BUT, still it wasn´t the worst show, it was sometime kinda enjoyable. But that´s not enought.

My wife recently purchased hair products from a manufacturer called Deva Concepts.  She purchased the product online from a beauty supplier and told me to expect the package at my office.  I was surprised when the package arrived a few days later.  It was huge.

While the hair products arrived undamaged, the branding effort scores a zero.  Nice work maintaining a luxury brand image.

And the kicker – there was not a shred of marketing material inside this heap to encourage a re-order.  No coupon, no free sample, no catalog, nothing.  The only evidence of the supplier was its logo and address on the invoice.

Here are some ideas to preserve the luxury brand image and promote re-orders :

• Don’t use the “free” bubble mailers provided by UPS as package filler.
• Branded packing tape – simple, but effective.
• Discount coupon for a customer’s next order.  Everyone wants to save money, and loyal customers are less price driven.
• Include samples of new products.  Customers love free samples.
• Promote related product sales with samples or coupons.  In this case, include hair styling samples along with a shampoo order.

Prejean was fired in June after lingerie-modeling photos of her emerged that pageant officials said were a breach of her contract. Prejean sued the pageant in August, arguing her firing was religious discrimination because of her opposition to same-sex marriage.

Pageant officials countersued last month, demanding their former beauty queen repay $5,200 in pageant money spent for her breast implants and give them all proceeds from a book she’s written.

A settlement of both lawsuits was signed in New York Tuesday, but no details were made public. Lawyers and parties for each side were bound by a confidentiality pledge, according to the source.

The veil of secrecy was partially lifted Wednesday after celebrity gossip Web site TMZ reported the deal was sealed after pageant lawyers presented an “extremely graphic” home video involving Prejean.

TMZ Managing Editor Harvey Levin said during a webcast Wednesday that he obtained the Prejean video during the summer, but found it “too racy” to post on his site. He indicated Prejean was alone in the video.

The source with knowledge of the settlement talks told CNN those details were accurate.

Prejean’s lawyer, Charles LiMandri, responded with a short statement issued through an employee at his law office. “It’s a confidential settlement, and he can’t discuss it,” the statement said.

Several calls and e-mail to Prejean’s publicist were not returned Wednesday.

Prejean’s tell-all book hits bookstores next week, and she is scheduled for media interviews to promote it.

Pageant spokesman Kenn Henman said Tuesday the settlement means all lawsuit demands are dropped.

The pageant had claimed that the contract she signed when she entered their competition last year gave the pageant the rights to anything she wrote. The settlement ended that claim.

Pageant officials also dropped their attempt to be repaid for her breast enhancement, which was done before she represented California in the Miss USA competition, according to Henman.

Prejean, in exchange, withdrew her suit accusing the pageant of violating her privacy by confirming to reporters that her breasts were enhanced, Henman said.

“We are moving forward from the past and looking towards the crowning of two winners and the new look of the upcoming Miss California USA pageant, telecast live on November 22,” pageant Executive Director Keith Lewis said Tuesday.

“We’re back in the business of beauty,” he told CNN.

There was nothing pretty about the public fight that began in April when Prejean, 22, stepped into controversy by declaring her opposition to same-sex marriage while answering a judge’s question at the Miss USA pageant. Prejean finished as first runner-up.

While state and national pageant officials publicly supported her initially, their opinions eventually changed after she continued to make public statements about same-sex marriage.

She held onto her crown through May, despite a series of questionable photos that emerged on gossip Web sites. Those images showed a topless Prejean, photographed from behind.

She was dethroned in June by Miss USA pageant owner Donald Trump amid growing complaints by state officials that she was uncooperative and not meeting her contractual obligations.

Prejean filed her lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court in August, claiming that her firing was religious discrimination because of her stand against same-sex marriage.

The pageant’s countercomplaint said what it called Prejean’s belligerent behavior, lack of cooperation and contract breaches caused her firing, not her opposition to same-sex marriage.

This week IBM step up to the podium in our Software Testing Hall of Shame. Computerworld UK yesterday reported that London’s congestion charging payments system crashed after IBM took over the contract.

London drivers were unable to pay the congestion charge online on Monday, following a system glitch after IBM took over the work from Capita. The problem emerged after IBM began a “significant upgrade” to the transport agency’s computer systems. IBM had spent the weekend – when no congestion charge is applicable – migrating data from Capita’s databases to its own systems, as it took over the work.

It looks as though the IT giant was not very ‘rational’ in its approach and did not fully test the system before go-live on Monday, as Computerworld reported “there were issues with the new systems and some of the data matching between different programs.”

A spokesperson at Transport for London, which operates the congestion charge, apologised for the online problem and insisted no registered drivers would be penalised if they had had problems paying. She added that the glitch was “resolved by the afternoon and all of the new IBM systems are up and running as they should be”.

The IBM system upgrade is aimed at saving TfL £200 million on running costs by 2018, but so far IBM has only cost the company, in terms of lost revenue.

The freedom to proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is slowly being taken away . . . IN THE UNITED STATES! I really take no pleasure in saying, “I told you so.” It is amazing to go back over 10 yearrs of Daily Devotionals, and read the warnings I have shared with you regarding our ability to freely proclaim the Truth of the Bible and the Gospel message. I vividly recall countless emails telling me I was paranoid, this was the United States and this would never happen, and others who simply thought I belonged in a straight jacket.

Well, let me take a moment and tell you where we are in the last days of October in the year 2009. Look at television. When you go back to the 50s and 60s, even into the 70s, you had incredibly powerful programs that gave a Christian perspective of life, had great moral messages, and a family could sit down and watch together. I submit to you today that NONE of those programs would ever see the light of day if they were being presented to the TV executives of today. What you get on TV today is a steady diet of sex and violence, and storylines and characters that are in blatant rebellion to God and His Word!

For 5 yearrs, the Liveprayer TV program aired on a CBS affiliate in Tampa, live for an hour, 5 nights a week. It was an incredibly controversial program because it dealt with the issues of the day and in people’s lives from a Biblical perspective. Two years ago, the self-appointed watchdog group of the Muslim community, CAIR, now the target of many Federal investigations for their ties to terror groups, intimidated CBS into taking the program off the air because they want to silence anyone in the media who has the audacity to tell the truth about their 1400 year-old false relgion leading the souls of 1.5 billion followers to hell.

You can still go to the Christian stations and preach to the choir, which is what 95% of Christians on TV do. After all, the lost on secular TV aren’t going to buy them new jet planes or help them live like rulers of small nations. So they completely abandon the marketplace and go into the “trough” where 99% of the viewers are already Christians.

However, if you want to take the hope and love of Christ to the masses via secular TV, you have only one option. That is to come up with $1 million a month and understand you will have to find those who truly want to see God’s Word spread to the lost and hurting masses to help fund it, since you will never find enough advertisers with the courage to be associated with such a program, nor can you beg for money each night since that is exactly what will turn off the very people you are trying to reach. Oh, and even with the money, you will still have a VERY HARD time finding a network who will carry the program!

This week or next, the Senate will pass the addition to the existing hate- crimes legislation to add gay, lesbian, and transgender people to that protected list. I have told you for many years now that it won’t be long before simply preaching against the sin of homosexuality from the Bible will land you in jail. President Obama, a strong advocate for the radical homosexual lobby in this nation will sign that bill and you will see very quickly how the gay community will use it as a hammer to silence people like myself who go into the marketplace and speak out against their sinful choice. They will claim that my speech induces people to violence towards homosexuals. This is how they will use this new bill to try and silence anyone who speaks out regarding this sinful choice.

They will be very effective because you now have a generation of “faux” churches and pastors who actually support and glorify this sin. They make a mockery of Christ by doing so, but it also makes someone like myself who speaks out, look like a crazed hate monger who wants to see homosexuals beaten and killed. The reality is, we help men and women in bondage to this sin find deliverance and freedom through Christ every month. We minister to the broken lives of so many who have been bound by this sin. Yet, because we take a Biblical stand on this issue we are castigated and will be a very real target once this new legislation becomes law.

Lastly, we are nearing a day I feared would come, and that is when the government would determine what content will be on the Internet. The million-dollar phrase is “net neutrality.” You can Google it, read both sides of the argument, but let me sum it up for you. The ultimate goal is for the government to determine what content can be on the Internet. Instead of running Liveprayer from an actual office, I see a day very soon when I will be using special connections linked to servers in foreign lands, having to use creative technology to get the Daily Devotiaonl out each day. THAT DAY IS NOT FAR AWAY!

I love you and care about you so much. This is why I implore you daily to take your faith seriously. Speak out whenever you can. Don’t be shy about sharing God’s Truth with others. This is also why I challenge you to stand with me. God has given us a great platform to reach millions worldwide daily, and we MUST keep doing that while we still can. Will this become like China or North Korean where people like myself are put in prison for life, simply because I preach the Gospel? Not sure, but we are definitely heading in that direction. These are the last days, the time is short, our freedom to proclaim the Word of God and the love of Christ is disappearing right before our eyes. WAKE UP!!!

***OCTOBER FINANCIAL UPDATE: As we head into the last 2 days of the month, we still need to bring in right at $20,000 to cover the balance of our September financial needs, and $80,000 to cover the monthly shortfalls we’ve incurred since January.

Ok, given everything that’s going on, I think the President is a freaking idiot!!!!!  Why is he spending time attacking Foxnews like a thin skinned idiot?  Of course they don’t agree with President Obama because they aren’t part of the state run media.  You know exactly who the state run media are because they agree with everything Obama does and spins it so they can get public support.  One member of the state run media get’s a thrill up his leg when talking about all things Obama.  Did George W. Bush spend time starting fights with PMSNBC?  No, he pretty much ignored them like 90% of Americans in this country.  PMSNBC’s rating are dismal and in the toilet.  Apparently not even liberals listen to it.

Obama is paying for his tactics because not even the state run media are about to allow media bias on the part of the president and they, to their credit, showed they won’t allow this by not playing ball with Obama.  Obama offered them a interview with the pay czar to keep foxnews from having access.  This would have been going back on a agreement between the major news networks.  All of the members of the media understand that if the white house get’s away with doing this to Foxnews then it’s only a matter of time until he’s going on the attack against them because eventually this media love affair will come to an end.  The whole thing reminded me of my cousins.  They fought all of the time but the second someone from outside the family got into the argument, every single one of them would turn on the outsider.  The messiah came out this situation with egg all over his face.  Obama shows there is absolutely nothing bi-partisan about him or his policies.

George W. Bush showed class when he ignored all of the media criticisms of him.  He didn’t go out of his way to try to bully the media nor did he attempt to single out any of the media.  I say this while I didn’t particularly think he was the best president, however, he at least served in the white house with class.  I’ve said before, George W. Bush is a Republican In Name Only.  He spent money just like a liberal for my tastes.  Additionally George Bush knew how to get those Democrats to give him anything and everything he wanted and more.  Maybe Obama should have asked George W. his secrets on how he did that.  Obama couldn’t lead a donkey to water if he wanted.

HydroxyCut | Absolutely Dangerous

Let’s start with the most dangerous one. There are countless things to say about HydroxyCut, and the claims that it makes as far as weight loss is concerned. All you really need to know (if you didn’t already) is this: on May 1, 2009, HydroxyCut was recalled by the Food And Drug Administration because it caused, among other things, liver damage, cardiovascular trauma and death.

Stay away from all weight loss pills – HydroxyCut, Hoodia, anything containing ephedra, and most other dietary supplements. If you must take one, please, please, please consult your trainer, nutritionist, and physician before beginning – most of them are dangerous, useless, and ultimately ineffective, anyways.

Electric Abdominal Belts |  The Laziest ‘Exercise’ You Can Do

This is one of the most ridiculous devices we have seen. Supposedly, wrapping a belt around your waist which sends electrical shocks to your core muscles will magically give you a six-pack and toned hips. The companies which promoted these products made claims including: 10 minutes with this device is the same as doing 600 sit-ups, and This device is 30 percent more effective than traditional exercise – both of which are ridiculous in and of themselves. First of all, electric stimulation (which many athletes use to help rehabilitate injuries) send such tiny charges to your muscles that it does not effectively build them at all.

But, the best litmus test for any fitness gimmick (which this one fails miserably) is the following: Can you simultaneously eat a pint of ice cream while “exercising” with the device? Yes? Then maybe, just maybe, this is a gimmick…It is also noteworthy and bizarre that some of these companies claim to be “FDA Approved,” even though their product is neither a food nor a drug.

Sauna Belts | Sweating Your Way To Stupidity

Instead of actually moving or contracting muscles to burn fat, the Sauna Belt claims to melt it right off like a form of some kind of thermal liposuction. What really irks us about the Sauna Belt, and sends it solidly into the Hall of Shame, is its complete and utter worthlessness. There are plenty of other fitness gimmicks that at least involve some sort of muscle contraction. The sauna belt offers a heated rubber belt which makes your stomach sweat – seriously, that’s all it does. Sweating is a good way to lose calories, but only if you are actually exerting effort when you sweat. The Sauna Belt simply sweats away excess water weight, and sheds no excess fat stores.

Based on our previous litmus test, above, the Sauna Belt also fails – simultaneously eating ice cream while “melting away fat” is not the way to true weight loss. Please don’t fall for this one!

Friends, there are no shortcuts in the weight loss game. There are no gimmicks that will keep the weight off and help you learn the proper nutritional and fitness habits. You must take the time to teach your body how to eat, move, function, and live properly. Weight loss does not come in a pill, or a device you can strap around your waist.
