DH finished splitting the wood from the large tree so we can proceed with the winter goat exercise area.

When I came in I glanced outside and saw the autumnal transients making their one to two week stopover here on their way to someplace else.   These bluebirds have showed up here every year for up to two weeks and then they are gone.  Another treat!

After resting all morning and into the afternoon I got enough energy to finish this dolly. She will be posted on Etsy tomorrow after I get some daytime photos of her!

I am trying to implement a Fall routine.  I have generally done the majority of the wash on Mondays so that will continue. I also do a basic cleanup throughout.  Tuesday I change our bed and tidy the bedroom.  Today I put in three hours in the sewing room as well.  Tomorrow is errand day.  Thursday will be another doll work day.  Friday is basic clean up and weekend cooking.  Saturday I have been trying to thoroughly clean pens, buckets and feeders.

It works for me if I write it done so I don’t get so frazzled.   I am trying to get most of my work done in the morning so I can take it easy after lunch before four o’clock chores and supper prep.  We’ll see how it goes.

Today I finished Lydia.

He will be getting a shirt and a pair of pants next.

I have looked at Imogene all week wondering why I hadn’t yet listed her on Etsy. She is such a cutie. Last night I realized that I didn’t like how her top looked and set out to make another one. The new one suited me just fine so today she has been listed!

I listened to a bit of the Red Sox game but they were losing so pitifully I had to shut it off.

I wanted to do some doll work today but the energy is very so so I got a bit of reading done and , of course, a lot of resting.

I finished Eloise yesterday.  She is a sweet dolly.

When your sewing room is neat and tidy it beckons you. It calls you. It pulls you in. And then creativity starts to emerge.

I do need to admit I would spend all my time there if energy allowed it. I have such a good time and so enjoy the work.

Today I got this far on a custom order before the energy completely left me. She will get a dress and a sleeper as well as some kind of play outfit. And of course one or two sweet bonnets.

Then she’ll be off to be part of a birthday celebration!

She was such fun to make and clothe.  I so enjoy the creative process!

Today I did a bit of this and a bit of that.  I really wanted to get started on another doll but just could seem to muster the energy for it. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

These wee babies are awaiting their new stretch velvet buntings. I worked on them today while resting and watching two active boys interacting with their dad.

Oh, and did I say you can stretch the elastic at the bottom and peek at her diaper and cute belly button!

I spent some time straightening out my sewing room again.  It is a never ending job since I and creative clutterer!  However I try to clean at least once a week and then when I am inspired I sort and return all the items I pulled out.  This is great but it goes downhill fast because when I walk in the next day I am inspired to create again.

These two are friends.  The one in his undies is a custom order who is coming along nicely.

The past couple of days I have been working on bunting babies. Since quite a bit of the work is hand work and can be done in the recliner this worked for me. She has a full body underneath which can be felt through the bunting. Her hat is purposefully long so the child can hang on or rub as velour has a lot of texture. All of the clothing is securely sewed to the doll and is not removable.

I am enjoying the sewing room immensely.
