Nothing goes off without a hitch. Canadians complain, many being disappointed with Targets selection and prices. It’s annoying. No, not Target. I do, however agree that empty shelves on opening day is unacceptable. Re-strategize how you visually merchandise if you are low on product.

Alas, I am a satisfied customer. With each visit I always came out with something that I was super excited about and hardly waited in line.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in South Florida are investigating whether there are connections between recent burglaries at the homes of Miami Heat players Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem.

Miami Beach police spokeswoman Vivian Hernandez said Wednesday there are similarities in the two thefts aside from both being Heat players. Authorities are not releasing the exact nature of those similarities.

The April 4 burglary at Bosh’s Miami Beach game occurred while he and his wife were out celebrating his birthday. Tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry, cash and handbags were taken. There was no forced entry and babysitters were home with the couple’s children.

Nothing was taken in the April 13 burglary at Haslem’s Southwest Ranches home. There was forced entry and police found bags containing shoes and other items on the floor.

eBay was founded in 1995 and for over a decade, I was a bit skeptical. I am going to buy someone else’s used or supposed new item without even seeing it and then entering in all of my credit card information over the internet? I’ll pass, thanks!  I’d definitely perused the site and bought Halloween costumes off it, but had never actually sold anything of my own, until this very large non-refundable impulse buy. So taking a stab at it,  I created an account, followed the instructions and began to list my item. Fortunately, it was Christmas time and this was a hot ticket bag and I had several photos posted of the inside of the bag, the receipt, the box, dust bag and me wearing the bag. The bag sold for $875. I took a major cut from what I paid for it, but still came out on top versus what a consignment would’ve taken.  Lesson learned - No more non-refundable impulse purchases for me….unless I’ve had my eye on the item and know every last detail about it.

While I’m still a novice seller,  I have learned a few tricks.  And, in addition to selling that bag, I sold a pair of almost new Oliver People’s Sunglasses that were too big for my face and I lost the receipt. Wanna sell something you’re over,  never worn or in impeccable condition that your’e just totally over? Well, here are some tips!

eBay Selling Tips and Reminders

• Start your bidding price at $0 or very low
• If the item is worth a lot and you want to obtain at least a certain amount back, set a minimum price. This means if the minimum price you set hasn’t been reached by bidders, your item will not sell and you can choose to relist it again
• Buyers want to buy from reputable sellers
  1. Include lots of images on all listings – images of you holding, wearing, using your item
  2. Include receipts and / or original boxes or bags your item came in
  3. Get up on the lingo- If the item is new with tags, note “NWT” in your title or “NWOT” for new without tags
  4. If the item is used, describe the condition to a tee and be realistic about your selling price expectations
  5. Before listing, do a search and see if your item is already on eBay and see how it’s listed and for what price – know your competition
• Make your listing stand out from the competition – lower price, different color or better condition, etc
• Buyers like to buy from a trusted seller – start by selling smaller price point items and have your buyers rate their experience after a sale to build credibility
• Offer free shipping, buyers like this
• In your listing, explain why you’re selling the item
• Give the dimensions, specific’s and weight if applicable to the item you’re selling
• Note whether the item is unique: one of a kind, sold out, hard to find, limited edition etc
