At this exact moment in time, 9:31 pm on Friday October 17th, 2008, I am caught between a war of two fundamental aspects of myself: Sleeping and writing.

Life’s a bitch.

Tonight, I’m a loser, baby. Waiting for Chelsee to come home from work to talk to her on MSN while fighting the urge to pass out right now. Guitar Hero makes me sleepy and this book I’m reading (The Burn Journals; Brent Runyon) is kind of depressing. Not particularly what my lonely, 20 year old ass wishes to be doing on a Friday night; the night of the people. I should be out there, conquering this pitiful land like Ghengis Khan, but alas that isn’t the destiny for a chap like me.
Instead I’m here, sitting in my bed, under my blankey, talking to you like I always do, until the lady friend returns from her pilgrimage from “the Great Harvey’s”, bringing with her treasures of grease-stained wonders. Oh, I’m also listening to the new “Fucked up” album The Chemistry of Common Life but more on that later..

I used to write album reviews, I stopped. I found them difficult. I can speak at great length about an album, or a band, or anything music related that I’m at the very least culturally aware of, but I’ll be damned if reviews aren’t the trickiest little bastards to perfect. I guess they can seem kind of.. fake to an extent. I’m not a great fan of that. I have a review on this blog, only one and I’m not particularly proud of it. The Bastille is essentially my sketchbook I wish to look back on years from now and say to myself “what was I thinking?!”. Which, now that I think about it, means I should probably update this puppy a little more often, hmm? I mean, I’ll throw down the occasional poem on here, maybe some prose when I’m not dealing with excessive bouts of ADHD but I guess I’ve never really showed you guys me (and by you guys, I am aware that no one reads this, don’t think I’ve gotten that deluded quite yet).

So what has been happening in my life? Well, today Chelsee and I went out all over the fucking country, it seemed, to meet our placement requirements for November 3rd. After she woke me up at some ungodly hour this morning (read: 9am) quite viciously. I enjoy spending my time with her, so you’ll probably notice that I’ll end up speaking about her a lot. There’ll be plenty of blabbering and going on about “Chelsee this” and “Chelsee that” and guess what? You don’t have a choice in the matter. I’m forcing this information upon you Clockwork Orange style.

See, that gets boring though. I dunno, I think I expect more out of this blog then I’m willing to put in. Sorry internets, I’m neither clever or witty. However, if you are looking for the aforementioned you might enjoy Bad Sandwich Chronicles! Especially if you consider yourself a Lawrence Arms fanboy/girl or at least know what the heck “.orgcore” is (hint: go to the drop down scroll and keep going until you find it). Man, I totally just plugged his blog in my blog. I better get a blow job from him or something.. Hey, I’d settle for a free t-shirt.

I dunno what else to say. I was going to talk about the new fucked up album, but now I don’t feel like it, maybe another day.

my beard is so itchy. I can’t wait until Halloween so I can get rid of it. This year I’m going out as Fidel Castro! Should be a good time.
