J. Reyez dropped a new single in conjunction with Hang & Fedarro. It’s a pretty solid song, good production on the beat and the singer on the hook was on point. I wasn’t feeling the mixing though. My guess is it was recorded on completely different set ups as the sound was really inconsistent. Also the first verse wasn’t on the same level as the other two MCs.

What do you all think? Feeling this one?

To get the most out of your BlackBerry® smartphone, you’ll want to make sure you maximize your device’s flash memory (impacts how much data you can store) and battery life. [Flash memory is memory that can be electronically erased and reprogrammed, but does not need power to maintain the information stored on the chip.]

Q: How do I see approximately how much flash memory my smartphone has?

On the Home screen, open Options.

Select Status.

The File Free field shows the approximate amount of available flash memory available for data. If you want to make sure that this value is as accurate as possible, restart the BlackBerry smartphone to initiate a full garbage collection. For instructions, click here.
The File Total field shows the amount of available flash memory after loading the wireless transceiver, operating system, and basic applications.

To see the approximate amount of occupied flash memory on the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps.
On the Home screen, open Options.
Select Status.
Display the menu and select Database Sizes.

By taking active measures to maximize the BlackBerry smartphone’s available flash memory, you can help to free up memory for regular operations:

Use a media card to store files like songs, pictures, videos, voice notes, and ring tones, or the pictures you take with the built-in cameras. To make sure the built-in camera is set up to save picture files on the media card, click here for instructions.
Remove unnecessary features and applications to increase the available flash memory on the BlackBerry smartphone. For instance, use the Setup Wizard application to remove languages that you do not use.
Minimize the number of contacts stored in the Address Book by using the remote address lookup feature when you need to send an email message rather than store company contacts in the Address Book (certain system requirements needed).
Delete old items – you can delete old and unused items and also adjust settings so that the BlackBerry smartphone deletes old items as part of its regular routine maintenance.

In BlackBerry® Desktop Software, set messages to stop being forwarded to the BlackBerry smartphone when it is cradled.
Flash memory is used to download and display email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone. Set the Auto More option to No to make sure that only the sections of the email message that you want to read on the BlackBerry smartphone are downloaded, displayed, and thus, stored in flash memory. By setting the Auto More option to No, the BlackBerry smartphone displays approximately the first 2 KB of an email message; you can display more of the email message by selecting More on the menu.
For BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry Smartphone Software 3.8 or 4.0, set the BlackBerry smartphone to allow content compression. Although content compression causes the BlackBerry smartphone to work harder (thus, using more battery power), it will make sure that email messages use the least amount of flash memory that is possible

Jag kan bara konstatera att jag är lite hyperaktiv, jag har svårt för att inte göra något. Igår, söndag kan man ju tänka sig att kanske sova ut. Men jag har inte riktigt ro till det. Så väckarklockan står på åtta, upp och hoppa. Frukost, så kom mamma och pappa förbi en sväng, pappa hjälpte mig med att hänga upp en stjärna (TACK, pappa), sen lite kaffe, iväg till mariedal med syster, hem, bakade lite bröd, iväg och hämta upp Ulrika och Emma, till Ängen för att hämta fantastiskt goda pizzor. Till Jessica för syjunta. Pizzorna åts upp, vi surrade en hel del och slutade med att spela spel. Mycket trevligt. Hemma igen vid halv tolv, då kunde jag bara inte gå och lägga mig innan jag diskat.

Inte konstigt att jag somnar direkt jag lägger mig ner..

Det är fredag eftermiddag, första snön har kommit till Hammarkullen för att sedan försvinna fortare än kvickt igen. Ett gäng från Tomaskyrkan och Kommuniteten Oikos möts i Sjövik för att träffa några av systrarna i Helige Franciskus Systraskap som sedan ett par år tillbaka lever på en gård i det lilla samhället.

Det är med nyfikenhet och förväntan jag följer de andra in i systrarnas huvudbyggnad. Jag har hört talas om kommuniteten men aldrig mött någon av systrarna själv och vet egentligen ingenting om dem.

Vi hälsas glatt av två systrar och två kvinnor från Franciskus Tredje Orden som också finns i Sjövik. När de får veta att flera av oss är med i Kommuniteten Oikos möter vi ännu mer glädje, jag blir lite förvånad över att de har hört talas om oss.

Systrarnas glädje över Oikos tänder ett ljus i mig och påminner mig om att jag har kommit en liten bit på väg mot det jag längtar efter. Deras uppriktiga glädje över vår kommunitet och det intresse de visar för hur vi lever hade jag inte väntat mig. Det slår mig att jag inte riktigt har sett vår enkla gemenskap som en kommunitet i samma klass som en klosterkommunitet, jag har tänkt att vi liksom spelar i olika divisioner.

Men det är ju just det här jag inte vill, att det ska finnas någon slags hierarki inom Kristi Kropp, där de som lever i kloster och dylikt är högst upp och de som lever ett ”vanligt” svenssonliv kommer längre ner.

Besöket hos Systrarna i Klaradal påminner mig om att i Kristus är vi en enda kropp där varje del behövs. I den kroppen önskar jag att Kommuniteten Oikos får vara en av många blodkroppar som för ut syre till de andra delarna.

Har haft en riktigt aktiv dag idag. Började med några timmar i skolan med förberedelser inför associationsrättsseminariet (alltså seminarium om olika typer av bolag), sen hem, lunch, cyklade till stan där jag fikade med Lisa som jag tidigare jobbat som konfaledare med. Trevligt. Och skönt att göra det man alltid pratar om “vi måste ses och ta en fika” men som aldrig blir av. Nu väntar vi bara på Katrines flytt till umeå så blir vi fler fd konfaledare i samma stad!

Sen hem, hämta bilen, åka för att handla. Nu är kyl och skafferi uppbunkrat med allt som jag behöver till julbak. Köpte även en adventsljusstake och en stjärna på stan som jag knappt kan hålla mig från att hänga upp. Men lite principer får jag väl ändå ha kvar.

Nu blir det lite mandarinuppladdning innan det blir stepdance på iksu. Känns lite tryggare än funken vi testade på igår. Där kände man sig inte bekväm, var itne så jobbigt heller, men detta resulterade i och för sig i att jag joggade (!) hem..

If you are like me, I am always in public trying to get that perfect photograph. There are times when a tripod may be to cumbersome or inconvenient to carry around. High traffic areas and uneven surfaces may also prevent you from placing your tripod in the desired location. The solution is the Manfrotto 035,037,056 3D Head with Super Clamp and Stud. Boy that was a mouthful.

The Manfrotto 3D Head / Super Clamp allows you to clamp your camera on items like pipes, shelfs, railings and other places. This is especially helpful in places where tripods are forbidden or impossible to setup. The item is rated to carry a 15 kilogram load. That’s 33.06933932775 pounds to be exact for us across the pond. I may be tempted to place my Sony EX3 on that, but would give it a second though after the last repair bill. The 3d head has a self- adjusting conical bearing locking system allows 360 Degree rotation on both the vertical and horizontal plane. The camera is also kept safely closer to the tripod’s center of gravity for more stable support. The head and clamp are removable allowing you to use the clamp or other items such as hanging lights, etc. The clamp also has a 1/4 post option. I must admit the product is built well. It looks a lot better in real life then in the picture. No cheap construction here. I was able to pick this item up on EBayfor $75.00 including shipping. Overall I give this unit 4 .5 stars out of 5 stars. Every serious photographer should have one. Here are some pictures of the unit in action with my Nikon D90

For a long time now, actually since the very first release of Google Chrome, I’ve been an ambassador for how cool a browser it is and that it’s been my browser of choice ever since they released it. That is up until today when I realised Google Chrome has been the culprit of my Vista OS hanging (note, no BSOD). At first I thought it might have been a Windows Update or one of my other applications, however it always happened while I had Google Chrome also open.

Now, for over a year now I’ve never had any bad experiences with using Google Chrome (either with Windows XP or with Windows Vista). For the last couple of days I’ve explicity NOT used Google Chrome and lo and behold, I no longer have to hard reboot my laptop anymore. And it seems I’m not alone – nor is it a recent occurance as others have had similar problems.

I guess I’ll have to monitor the news and forums feeds for a resolution before I used Google Chrome again – I sure am going to miss it until then!

For those not in the know, I have a ‘gaemen labtop,’ on which I recently installed Windows 7 64bit Professional. I have a Virgin Media 10mbps connection.

Well, over the last couple of weeks, my internet has been cutting out regularly, roughly for 30secs – 2mins every couple of hours. By ‘cut out,’ I don’t mean slow – my router can’t access the internet, but I can access my router. This, I can live with, since it only seems to happen when my connection is idle (so it doesn’t affect any online gaming).

The more annoying problem is thus: I have been using InkScape fine for about two months now, before on Vista and more recently on 7. However, in the last two days, every time I try to save a file in Inkscape it hangs. It’s not a crash – the program continues to run, but I can’t interact with it. I can’t end the process. Worse, I can’t shut down – it just hangs, and Windows waits indefinitely for it to close. Perhaps the most annoying thing about this is that it causes problems with other programs saving as well – Photoshop can save quite quickly on my machine, but with InkScape there, it takes 10-15 times longer (1min +).

And my Windows key is broken. And my sound card only outputs the left channel of the headphone jack.

Basically, my laptop has problems. Customer services will be contacted.
