The air in the room feels thick but sounds tinny, like it does in a doublewide, you know, the way the sound and the air are different, I guess because it’s perched on a foundation poured in to the ground rather than dug in, so it’s not flush up against the earth?, and the windowsill is aluminum. She’s in front of the closet, which has a sliding door with inset slats. She’s always high enough up, on a short enough noose, that her face is angled down but very near the ceiling, and I have to tilt my head back and look up to see it. I do not know why I always have to look at her face.

She doesn’t sway or kick or open her eyes or anything predictably horror-movie-ish like that. In a way, the certainty that she is absolutely dead and has been for some time is worse and even more uncanny than if I had got to the scene just in time for her death throes. Because I never realize right away that I’m in The Room with her, or that it has become That Dream until I turn around and see the closet, and her swollen feet and mottled legs with the blue nightgown at mid-calf.

Cattelan’s installation, untitled, from 2007.

Woodman’s photo, untitled, 1977.

The work seemed like a clear quote to me, but I searched a bit more.
Cattelan presented the installation in 2008 at his Bregenz Kunsthalle (the site seems to have almost no working pages) exhibition. It was on the highest floor of the building, and it looked like this:

Impressive. It’s quite interesting, though, to see to what extent the presentation of a work can obscure/transform its dynamics. The first picture of Cattelan’s piece without this second one creates a significantly different framework. (According to one commentator, this was the first time Cattelan used someone else’s architecture to stage his piece.)
My Polish coleagues have linked Cattelan’s work to feminism and eschatology. Crucifiction, yes, but what is beyond? Also, the white nightgown suggests a patient, eternal patient, hysteric person…
Although Iza Kowalczyk is right to point out that this work stresses the crucifiction more than the hanging in Woodman’s version (where the chair in the front created a classic reference to this way of committing suicide), there is something in both these installations that I found crucial, and missing in the comments: the portrayed woman is not crucified. She is suspended by her own arms. It is a very uncomfortable position and requires significant effort.
There is a play going on here between victimization, self-victimization and empowerment. The subject self-objectifies thus getting higher.
One other thing, concerning a discussion on one of the sites, about eroticism. Is this too pure to be erotic? To me it seems to bring about the right amount of frustration by being so unbearably decent, and yet stretched to the limits . This is much more explicit in Cattelan’s work – an installation, bringing about a specific, ambiguous visual perspective. This frustration of power, which plays namely on the the relation between the viewer and his subject, is a trademark of many of Cattelan’s works. It’s what often irritates me. And what makes me come back.

Thanksgiving may be over, we kittens still have a lot to be thankful for. There are so many things that make us happy. What we enjoyed most of all, was spending our first summer in our trees and blogging about it. And because WordPress has a video contest about giving thanks and things you enjoy, we asked Photoguy to create this little video for us. Maybe we will win a little camera. Photoguy could use one. He may have shown real improvement in making little movies, the quality of the filming is very poor.

It does not hurt when one of going public with the vulnerability of a certain piece of software when

It does not hurt when one of going public with the vulnerability of a certain piece of software when there are only three or four users of the software worldwide. But there is a problem if billions of people using the software.

Been seen flashing a vulnerability at all, more people at risk, as would be the case if you kept quiet. Who are you really doing a favor? Users? Potential users? The software company? No, not one of them. They make the task ofHackers and people take advantage of the mistakes that much easier. Are, in fact, you do the homework for them and feed their dark thoughts with sensitive information.

Many people feel software companies give a blow with the announcement of deficiencies in the wild. You get the chance, even with the company you hate the most. But is this really a negative influence on the really big companies? Yes, I agree with smaller companies the impact will be much more difficult than the feelinglarger, but the big guns to seek controversy, because advertising is a free way of marketing your product. You can not impress everyone, but if the word gets out, the product's name to be mentioned, that's for sure. To take an action, only it look like you really care.

Companies like Microsoft and Google are making huge mistakes with their products, but almost everyone seems to support it. It will take some big flops to the people lose confidencein companies like these. This article is a good example, I'm not a big fan of Microsoft products. I prefer open-source products because most of the time they are safer and more effective. But Microsoft name is mentioned. Google was doing things right, until all their fame and success came in the mind. Today, they are disappointing thousands of search engine users, webmasters and advertisers, but the people still with their products.

You can use the company a temporary shockby following the public road, but in the end you are creating new opportunities for them to make something good out of something bad. Your efforts will be futile, and help in the end, creating more problems for the software community as them.

Why do people think it's a good thing to go public with security holes? It is because of thinking in terms of the open source community. The only way to an open source application is determined by using public mistakes. The Open Source Communitycomes with fixes for their applications in no time, because it was a huge pool of contributions to the community. Unfortunately you can not be that way with a closed-source applications. You are at the mercy of the software company to get fixed the problem. But you are not a lot of things easier for them by a fire in the woods. Insert at the end of fires, rather than focusing on the root of the problem. The result appears to be patching the software until a new error. MorePatching made until the next error, and the process repeats itself over and over again until you are stuck with a patched application that is not yet threatening the battle of security vulnerabilities. You can always patching the software, but the patches are the real nightmare.

Patches are the result of poor development in the first place and impatient in the second place. I agree it is not the responsibility of the user to debug the software, you pay for the software, so that theSoftware companies can pay their testers to properly fulfill their duties. So what's the bottom line here? Are the intentions of the closed-source users the same as open-source users, if they go public with security holes? Certainly not. Closed-source users do it out of frustration with the software companies, while open-source users are looking for a solution to a threat too.

What should I suggest you the next time you stumble on a security hole? Keep it quiet as long as possible and shall report it to theSoftware companies responsible. In this way you will be an uncontrollable spread of exploits for this specific error to be avoided. If the company allows the determination of their software when they will be more time devoted to focusing on the core of the problem. This is beneficial for the end-user as well as the software company. It is their software more secure, leading to more support and consumer confidence will result in their products. Better consumer confidence leads to greater profits and aresponsible company uses these profits to make their products better.

I agree that the picture I am a painting is disinterested from a perfect world, but it will not help, either to do the opposite. To encourage people to switch to more secure applications and stop using any of the revealed less secure application.

Spend your time and energy to promote and improve promising software instead of bad mouthing software that does not deserve the attention toall.

When we look at retail advertising and sales catalogues we see that the two categories are character

When we look at retail advertising and sales catalogues we see that the two categories are characterised by different styles of tracksuit. Training tracksuits that would be the choice of the sporting fraternity imitate a certain standard style and consist of a hard wearing fabric, normally polyester, with zips etc. that are functional.

The emphasis is on performance and durability though design and colour with sublimated embroidery is now the order of the day. So the training tracksuit could be summarised as attractive durable clothing essential to the football team and other sporting entities. However it is more than just clothing; it is the corporate image of a business where branding and success go hand in hand, therefore the sublimated embroidery on the football jerseys, shorts and sport socks reflecting the Sponsors name and brand image are crucial in promoting the game and team.

Team tracksuits will display team colours, kit design and Sponsor logo. Professional football teams may well have a number of training tracksuits but each will display the same branding and logo that defines the team and their Sponsor. The durable quality of the training tracksuit will be characterised by the fabric, careful seam stitching and design and the ability of the fabric to breathe and stretch without tearing. The common theme in training tracksuits is that they are fit for purpose.

When we talk about walking tracksuits then a somewhat different set of criteria is applied as regards fit for purpose wear. The rigours of everyday training will not apply and we are looking at a product that characterises comfort above all else. The wearer of the walking tracksuit is looking for flexibility in the fabric and more plain colours probably darker rather than bright. Walkers do not generally want to stand out like a sore thumb when hiking in the countryside or anywhere else so they normally opt for plain colours when purchasing a tracksuit. Blending into the environment is preferable to calling out like a siren, where ever we are walking, so subdued colours and designs are preferable to the intricate designs and colour combinations used in training tracksuits. Trouser design can be different where the walking tracksuit has normal or slightly wider leg bottoms to cover walking boots or shoes as opposed to tight or zipped training trouser leg bottoms.

The walking top is usually a little longer than the training top and has a loose waist as opposed to an elasticated tight waist. The fabric can be similar but does not need to be as durable and this provides a wide choice of fabrics for the consumer.

Sir George Mackenzie of Rosehaugh, also known as ‘Bluidy Mackenzie’ was a lawyer and lord advocate in the late 1600s and one of the most infamous hanging judges. As lord advocate, he was made minister in charge of the fate of the ‘Covenanters’, religious protesters arguing towards protestant law enforcement in Scotland. The inhumanity of his prosecution towards the ‘Covenanters’ gained him the nickname ‘Bluidy Mackenzie’ due to his responsibility for the deaths of over 18,000 men. He died in 1691 and was buried in Greyfriars Churchyard in Edinburgh.

In 1990, the tomb of George Mackenzie was broken into and two days later the unexplained events began. There have been an unbelievable number of alleged attacks in the last few years with a reported 500 documented incidents including 190 people collapsing. Visitors to his grave have reported bruises, scratches, gouge marks, bites and bafflingly even a number of broken fingers. One woman obtained rope marks around her neck as if she had been hung. Reverend Colin Grant attempted to perform an exorcism on the area with his son and two journalists as witnesses but claimed the forces were too overpowering and had to stop as he feared for his life. Two weeks later Colin Grant died of a heart attack.

The events were too much for Edinburgh City Council to take; subsequently they closed that area of the graveyard to the public, although ghost tours still visit the area and the spectators are recurrently haunted.

“But not stabbed again?” Fuzz paced the room as I sat in front of his desk watching him. He reminded me of a little wooden figure going in and out of a clock, a really angry little wooden figure with claws and fangs.

“Nope. The hanging killed him for sure and he was beaten up pretty badly before that, but no stab wounds,” I replied. “Sit down Fuzz, you’re making me nervous.”

He waved my request aside and continued his pacing, “And apart from the leaflet about Dr Alter’s businesses, there was nothing to link the two deaths?” The swinging stiff had nothing on him apart from a dog-eared three-fold leaflet extolling the virtues of Dr A’s wares, all of them with innocent sounding descriptions dreamt up by some marketing type to distract from the fact that the “super powerful lighthouse beam alternative to normal bulbs” was actually a death ray capable of sinking several of O’Toole’s Ironclads in one go. The little cartoon logo of Dr Alter herself was mighty cute though…

“Er, I guess not…” I was halfway through a reply before I realised it wasn’t a question.

“But then two deaths in two days is a mighty big coincidence.”

“Well the first guy had only been dead for twelve hours or so, this new one had been hanging at least a week. Different MO, different location, different times.”

“Which could be worse!” Fuzz said running his fingers through his hair. Or fur. I was never quite sure.

“How so?” I asked.

“Two killers instead of one. And if John Doe was killed whilst investigating smugglers then I doubt the general populace is in danger, whereas if we have a different killer on the loose then who knows? It ain’t good doc, that’s for sure.”

I pushed my chair away and got to my feet, “Well if I can do anything Fuzz, you know where I am, but I have to get back to the slums.”

“Hmmm,” he was distracted, “Oh yes, your patients. You get back to them, doc, they’ll be missing you.”

“It’s more than that Fuzz,” I replied.

He looked at me, concern evident on his face, “All ok over there? I know it’s a bit wild…”

“Ha! It’s more than wild Fuzz, as you and the Council know. But it ain’t the tong this time, some Chinese kids came to my place after your nun left this morning, seems there’s a fever spreading.”

“A fever? Is it dangerous? Should I let the Council know?” Fuzz knew as well as I that the slums were a breeding ground for all manner of nasties and it bordered on some of the finest real estate in the city.

“Worried about property prices, Fuzz? We can’t have the great and the good cancelling their balls due to projectile vomiting now, can we?” I shouldn’t have said it but I said it all the same. Sometimes my mouth opens wide enough to take both of my feet in at once and right now I was knee deep in gums.

“Hey! That’s not fair doc and you know it!” Fuzz looked hurt and I felt lower than a worm’s beard.

“Yeah, sorry Fuzz, but well you know what I think about the slums and the council…” I trailed off.

“I know doc, I know. Look, get back there and find out what’s going on. Let me know and if it needs to go to the council I’ll do my best for you, fair enough?” he said with a small smile.

I smiled back “Fair enough,” and began to head for the door leaving the city’s sheriff to solve two grizzly murders in my wake.

“Doc,” Fuzz’s voice stopped me as I grasped the handle, “stay out of the dens, eh?” My shoulders went rigid and I stood stock still for long seconds before I slowly opened the door and left without saying one more goddam lousy word.

Yes, with the advent of summer, and more sunny days, hardware *does* fail. I just recently fried two

Yes, with the advent of summer, and more sunny days, hardware *does* fail.
I just recently fried two sticks of RAM, as I pulled them out of my PC they were so hot I burned my fingers. Serves me right for having so many Hard Drives in there without thinking about fans.

You may be in a similar boat, if you PC blue-screens and restarts, maybe it just won’t turn on, all are common symptoms of PC’s that are now overheating.
What can you do about it? Well to find out if your PC is overheating, grab either Speccy or EVEREST Ultimate (Trial). EVEREST is nice as it can be left in the system tray while you carry on working.

If any of your parts (Such as HDD, Motherboard, CPU or Graphics Card) are over 50 degrees for a desktop, or 60 degrees for a laptop, they’re probably getting a bit too warm for prolonged use. Naturally laptops run hotter, and some can quite happily sit between 50-60 degrees their whole life, but if possible you want to keep it cooler.

What can you do about it?

You might need to pull the sides off your PC and use a can of compressed air to blow out the dust / cobwebs. You can pick up a can of compressed air for around $30 from Dick Smith Electronics (Product code N1238). Yes, that’s $30 but if it saves you having to replace a few hundred dollars worth of parts, it’s worth it right?
Note: Do NOT use your vacuum cleaner. It’s far too easy to knock the parts, the brushes can cause damage, and to be safe you’d have to hold it too far away for it to be truly useful. Use compressed air.

Now, take your PC outside, perhaps on your garage floor or driveway with both sides off, stand it up, and blow into all the fans and around the circuitry. Be sure not to knock anything and you’ll be just fine.

What about your Router? Well if you cannot afford to replace your router with one that’s less prone to overheating, try moving it out of direct sunlight, or off the floor. You could try having a mini desk-fan blowing over it, or some people have even had good results using a Plate Stand to put their router on. If you’ve gotta get a fan on your router, it’s on it’s last legs and will need replacing sooner rather than later. See my previous blog posts for information on what routers are decent and what routers you should avoid, such as the freebies that many ISP’s give away.

If you’re still having issues with your PC overheating, restarting or freezing, then try posting on PressF1.co.nz and seeing what they say.

If this has been helpful to you in any way, please drop me a line and say Hi, share your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you

“Ahh Doctor, come in come in.” The small Chinese guy at the door was paid not to know me and I shot him a glance to remind him of that fact, “So sorry, Mister Smith.” His wide, thin smile was as genuine as could be expected for a low paid goon in the drugs trade who thought he was worth more than being nice to the smoke-fiends. I’d let the Dragon Lady know, let’s see how he smiled after she’d booted him down to gutting fish in the cannery for a month. His smile twitched cruelly as he opened the door for me and I crossed the threshold between worlds.

I followed the curved path down to where a darkly translucent curtain divided me from my goal ahead. I could feel the tendrils of desire creeping around it, wafting towards me, and all the nuns in Steelhead couldn’t stop me now. I breathed the thick air in deep and pushed through the curtain to a room of cots and smoke and beautiful women.

They pamper you there. They guide you, help you, lose you and leave you.

I was in the smoke. With the Dragon lady. In the curls of her hair. Wrapped in the folds of her dress. I was far gone. I was with them again. Back with my family. Back with my wife.

**{}**

Through the darkness of impossible dreams hands found me. Strong hands. Cold hands, cold like metal. I was lifted up, borne aloft to fly safe from harm. Somewhere, in the night, someone was sawing a double bass in half. What a strange thing to do.

**{}**

The knock on the door was almost as unwelcome as the bright morning light assaulting my eyes. I stood, naked to the waist and with the face of a dead dog, and wobbled my way to the door. “Sister Sweetcheeks,” I growled at the shocked nun. Someone had replaced my throat with a bag of gravel and every word hurt like a punch in the tonsils, “to what do I owe this very great pleasure?”

The young nun tried to stop her eyes skiing down my chest and failed, she gulped hard and spun around to look out across the harbour, her face even prettier with some colour in it, “Another murder, doctor!”

Another? Once more she provided the slap I needed to wake up. When I had time, I’d like to think about that some more, but right now I had questions looking for answers, “Who? Where? Was it Dr Alter’s squid again?”

“No,” she replied not turning around but sneaking a sideways glance at me, “In the old tunnels, some poor wretch has been found hung! Sheriff Ortega has arranged for the body to be taken to your temporary morgue in the naval offices. He asks if you can get a report to him right away.”

“Does he now? Well tell him I’ll get on it right away, but I’ll be calling in these favours from the city soon enough.”

“Favours?” Sister Sweetcheeks looked round at me, her eyes alive with curiosity. God but they were beautiful eyes.

“You tell him Sis, the city owes Beck some overtime,” I smiled into her eyes, “and I intend to collect that cheque.”

When I became a police officer, I had no idea there was an art to buying a knife. I am not an idiot

When I became a police officer, I had no idea there was an art to buying a knife. I am not an idiot. I realize that there are many different kind of knives for many specific uses. There are cooking knives, hunting knives, fishing knives, camping knives, butterfly knives, double edged, serrated knives, and many other kinds of knives. What I did not know was that there was a knife just for me

I have worked in an investigative unit for many years. I am currently assigned to a detective unit. Being assigned to this unit, one of my functions it to respond to death scenes. Many of those death scenes are suicides. And many of those suicides are hangings. During my tenure in the detective unit, I have lost count of the number of death scenes, which I have investigated.

Taking you back many years, I was dispatched to my very first suicide by hanging. I had already been a veteran police officer, but was still new to the Detective Unit. I had received ample training to investigate death scenes. I was trained on what to look for at my scene. I also was trained to observe any suspicious circumstances, not readily apparent to the untrained eye. We pay attention to detail and look for evidence that is potentially important for our investigations. And this was my scene. I was in charge. I had been to many suicides, but this was my first hanging. I felt prepared.

So I arrive on scene to see a man hanging from a tree limb about eight feet off the ground. Now that the detective (me) had arrived, everyone was looking at me to proceed. I started my death investigation. I gather my evidence. I take my photographs. And now it is time to remove the body of the deceased. Imagine my surprise, when I realize no one had a knife to cut the poor guy down, including me. I felt like a fool. My embarrassment was short lived. I pulled it together. I improvised. I adapted. I got the job done right. And I never made that mistake again.

First, you need to understand one point. As a police officer, you are issued much of your gear, but a knife is not standard issued police equipment. Many police officers carry multipurpose tools or small pocket knives for its convenience. Although they do come in handy during your shift, no one ever told me that I would NEED to carry a knife. I had a seat belt cutter and many other tricks of the trade, but no knife.

So after my shift is over, I go home and do what any other woman would do when they need something… I go shopping. I was in search of a knife. No, a quest for the perfect knife. I could not buy any old knife. I needed a particular knife for a specific function. I was not going to waste my money on a simple pocket knife. I did not want to mess around with a dull blade. I needed to make a quick, sharp cut to preserve the rope. I needed a knife that would enable me to cut down a dead body while being respectful to the deceased.

After some searching, I found my knife. Let me add that a major obstacle when buying a knife to cut down dead bodies is the sales staff. I think the clerk thought I was a psychopathic serial killer. So getting back to my knife. The perfect size. The perfect shape. A perfect fit in my hand. Sheathed in a black leather case with a single snap. There it was. The perfect knife for me.

Since dispatched to that initial hanging, I have been called to many others hangings from support beams, trusses, trees, bridges, closet doors, garage door frame, and many other locations. My knife has never failed me.

THIS IS CERTAINLY WORTH READING AND PLEASE, SEND IT AROUND THE WORLD.

This is one of the best explanations of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.

A German’s View on Islam

A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. ‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories…’

We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ’silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.

And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.

Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts — the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and send it on – before it’s too late.

The neighbor of 40-year-old Rodney Thompson found Thompson, dead, hanging from a tree at a home in the 4100 block of Cohassett on November 18, 2009. The man says he called police and cut Thompson down from the tree. According to Thompson’s sister Sharon Johnson, police initially said the death was a suicide, but, Investigators returned to the house on Thursday morning and said Thompson had been shot.

His sister Sharon Johnson believes someone had her brother killed. She stated, “We seen the blood in the house and we knew. (It) looked like it was cleaned up. There were spots everywhere and we seen the bloody pistol. There was blood on the pistol under the mattress.” Police found a suicide note which expressed how Thompson wanted his assets divided. Family members were told, Rodney maybe he shot himself in the head, then he went outside and hung himself? O…..K!

She was a famouse korean supermodell, modelling for Chanel, Dries van Noten and Alexander McQueen. In Paris, milan and New York.

The worst part is she was still only 20 years old. Her friend had found her hanging in her Paris apartment. Lately she had wrote in her blog alot about beeing lonely.

The final entry on her blog on November 18 was entitled “Say hi to forever” And has in it a song I Go Deep by British singer Jim Rivers.

She was really pretty and i followed her blog randomly, but it’s true her entries have been depressing lately.

This year has had alot high-profile suicides in korea. Many celebritys and even a former president, who had been under investigation becouse of his family.

South Korea has the highest suicide rate among the 30 nations in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

We will miss you Kim Daul.

Luke 19:45-48

Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, “It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” And every day he was teaching in the temple area.

The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.

The Daily Path: What an ideal way to go through life… hanging on every word that Christ offers us.

(NOTE: I must apologize for my inability to post anything over the past week. A minor injury to my lower leg developed into a serious infection preventing me from spending any time at my desk. It’s getting better!)

I am not very happy about the quality of the photographs. There is a lot of room to improve I! But you can see at least that it is a hurriedly done wall painting on a narrow strip of white cotton fabric. The contents were randomly copied from a board book which I had brought from the local library. It is an attempt to brighten up the busy room of my toddler. As you may already know, our flat is pretty small and toddler junk makes it look even crunched.

This was painted when my angel was about a year old and now about one and a half year later, she says hello to the animals individually and tells me all the colours one by one… her enthusiasm assures me – she still admires my piece of work, or should I say work of art..

Heather Ellis racially motivated over-prosecution in Dixie http://www.theheatherelliscase.com/ Anoth

Heather Ellis racially motivated over-prosecution in Dixie

http://www.theheatherelliscase.com/

Another year in America, and another slew of racially motivated, manipulated and biased application of the laws. Why am I not surprised that a small southern town in the South could over prosecute a crime that generally only garners a slap on the wrist, and a stern talking to.

Our ugly American tradition of prosecuting black people at a level that is akin to def-con 4, for minor offenses that statistically only net a very minor and negligible fine, has got to either stop, or be exposed to the world as a crime against humanity.

If it is proven to be the case in any prosecution, especially this one, then we as people should demand that it is stopped now.

If not now…when.

This latest case of unfair prosecution would be laughable if it were not actually happening.

The AP is reporting that nearly three years after Heather Ellis switched checkout lines at a southeast Missouri store and touched off what she calls a racially charged dispute with white customers and authorities, the young black schoolteacher faces a trial that could send her to prison for 15 years.

15 years for cutting in line is as ridiculous as it is over-reaching.This is what happens to black women and men in the south as a tradition. If you go there, all the southern states, state flags are just a slightly altered versions of the racist Confederate flag, because they still admire and aspire to be just like their Civil war ancestors.

The KKK has joined forces with the local police department in the small southern country town,Kennett,Missouri-which is about a two-hour drive from Memphis,Tennessee, by inserting racism in to the story when Ellis was handed KKK cards from a Kennett police officer warning her about her actions.

The cards from the kkkowardly kkkops stated, “You’ve just been paid a social visit by the Ku Klux Klan; the next visit will not be social.” The officer claims that he only showed the family the cards to make them aware of the situation.

Since that time, and after a dramatic plea for support, people have come to help Heather.

My question is…what is the situation that they are alluding too?…and what are the police doing promoting the Ku Klux Klan? This is a rhetorical question, as I know the answer, which is that southern cops, like a lot of police officers here in America, prefer to kill, destroy and abuse black people, since they no longer have the right to do so, ever since President Lincoln beat their weak Confederation of rebel states, and freed the slaves.

In the 60’s the government stepped in and ended the institutionalized segregation, that was much harsher than Apartheid, but similar, known as the Jim Crow laws, which was in fact, a de facto system of slavery and segregation that caused a lot of our black American citizens to be viciously murdered by mobs of white Klan members and their supporters down south, without the fear of legal retaliation, or prosecution of any kind.

The Jim Crow laws were enforced by the police departments, and the local fathers, in these small country towns, up until the time of John F. Kennedywrote the Civil Rights Bills, and signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson, who grew up in a small southern town in Texas, and was well versed on the murderous contempt that the local police always hold for black perpetrators who were always falsely accused of a crime they did not commit.

We all must remember that only a mere 35 years ago, a black man could be legally hanged from a tree until he/she was dead, for simply looking a white man or woman in the eyes. The law was called malicious eyeballing, and was the main reason why the white politicians from the southern states wanted to maintain states rights.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Crow_laws

Simply put, they did not want the federal government preventing them from killing and unfairly incarcerating our people with unreasonable jail sentences for minor offenses like what they are attempting to do in this case with Heather.

The Academy Award winning movie ”Sounder” was about such a case of over prosecution.

It follows the lives of an impoverished southern black family that made a living by sharecropping, which was just an extension of slavery, but was patterned after indentured servitude in the Jim Crow south.

The premise of the story shows what happens to a black family down south in Louisiana, when the father is imprisoned for stealing pig meat and chicken out of hunger and desperation, the boy still hungers for an education which was illegal to get if you happened to be black.

Any black man who let it be found out that he/she could read and write, were summarily executed by a white mob of killers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sounder

It is still their main goal, but they are willing to infiltrate the police departments and the judicial system down south, as they have done there for centuries.

The facts in the case are in dispute.Prosecutors say Heather cut in line, and then when called out for it, she caused a major disturbance at the store. The police say that words were exchanged between Heather and the customer she allegedly cut in front of, and that groceries were pushed to the side.

No fighting occurred as reported, and Heather paid and proceeded to leave. In Los Angeles a similar exchange that did have a physical element to it led to the death of Latasha Harlins, before the officers arrived, so Ellis was wise to leave the store at this point.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latasha_Harlins

When the police showed up, they took only the words of the white patron and store employee, and started to question and detain Heather.

She was upset at this time, and answered the cops with a retort that they did not like, but they have not reported that she verbalized a terrorist threat at all. What I do know of cops, is that they like to put black people back in our places, as we all witnessed via the Rodney King beating video.

Basically, they did not like what she said or did, and given that their grandfathers would have just strung her up to a tree, they could not let it go with a simple disturbing the peace ticket.

Nathaniel Ellis, Heather’s father, says that’s not true, and that his daughter was the one called racial slurs by a store clerk and officers, which seems more believable than a black women down south, and from the south, would do, rather than risk getting murdered by a racist cop.

It is a good story, since most people down south that are not black, are predisposed to believe the most racist and vile stereotypes of our people that they have created without any basis in the truth.

“They just indict her and launch an all-out attack to destroy her character and assassinate her future” says Ellis. “This is her choice, not to admit fault in an area where she hasn’t done anything and so we’re standing by her.

Ellis maintains she was merely joining her cousin, whose checkout line was moving more quickly. She claimed in a written complaint to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People that she was then pushed by a white customer, hassled by store employees, called racial slurs and physically mistreated by Kennett police officers.

Police say in court documents that Ellis refused requests to calm down and leave the property, allegedly kicking one’s shin and splitting another’s lip. Her trial on charges of assaulting police officers, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace began today, Wednesday in Dunklin County Circuit Court.

Hundreds of protestors showed up and held a rally at the courthouse that was answered by a Klan rally.

“There’s nothing that I could imagine that could’ve happened in the walls of that Wal-Mart that justifies this young woman, this Pastor’s daughter with no criminal record and on her way to medical school, going to prison for 15 minutes, let alone 15 years” says Dr. Boyce Watkins, a Professor at Syracuse University in the North.

Ellis’ family says they have been threatened by the Ku Klux Klan since speaking publicly about Heather’s case. They’ve asked the U.S. Department of Justice to get involved.

Again, I am not surprised that a black woman down south is being subjected to this malicious prosecution, but is a good example of the level of hatred that many of our white citizens and leaders have for African-Americans.

In this case, the KKK along with the judicial system in that small Missouri town are once again using the criminal justice system as a way to rid themselves of what they perceive to be the continuing problem brought on by the freeing of the black slave system that they financially benefitted from for so many years.

Do not let them get away with it, and step up to free Heather and protect our beautiful African-American queens, or we should be ashamed to call ourselves men. To help her out, click the link… http://www.theheatherelliscase.com/
