What I’m thankful for in 2008

1. Social networks – for all the new friends, fans and follower that I now have and for being able to become one for others.
2. Social media – WordPress, other great blogging platforms and tools – can you imagine life without being able to generate content by/for yourself?
3. For all the interesting web phenomena
4. Twitter is working fine for a while now – we only complain when it didn’t work, so it is just fair to say thank you for fixing it.
5. For all the great API and web services out there giving infinite mashup possibilities
6. Google, the Alts and smart friends; getting questions answered by Twitter friends
7. Google Docs  – my preferred way for working sharing guest posts
8. Many excellent bloggers – there are so many lists out there now including mine from Blogmon
9. For being a beta tester – thanks to all the new web apps and tool that inspired me this year.
10. For anti-viruses, spam catchers, spyware cleaners and improving OS security (I hope)
11. The election is over and America chose new president.

What I’m wishing for in 2009

1. More of that same things that I’m thankful for this year:)
2. Continue building online (and in some cases offline) relationships
3. Easier and better content creation tools using the media of choice
4. Doing less log-ins
5. Clicking less for getting what that we are looking for and want to accomplish on the web
6. Guest posts – in and out
7. Scaling social interactions – not leaving message, email, tweet, comment, or review unanswered.
8. Twitter Search in Twitter (or Twhirl) – or alternatively TweetDeck support for multiple accounts including FriendFeed – basically, single Twitter desktop client with all the needed functionality to support this life streaming and web-now.
9. Better search capabilities for watching TV shows online – geared for real-time and personalized. I yet to see one that does it in Google quality.
10. Kindle price to go down (closer to $100)
11. One charger fit all – MP player, cellphone, laptop, you name it – or single portable device that does most of it well.
12. Saying Happy New Year to all the friends, fan and followers from a single point
13. And yes, world peace.

This seeming contradiction is illustrated by the old timer who, when asked by a traveler how to get to Damariscotta, replied, “Dontcha move one dad blang inch!”

We welcome people, in our way, from around the globe (a good host should always offer coffee), and they, on leaving Maine behind, return home with an emptiness which they yearn to fill from away. It might have been a view of the Atlantic Ocean, a music festival, a country fair. Perhaps a fishing trip, a hike, or just a nice cup of coffee on the porch, whatever it was, nothing will fill that void better than a bit of Maine! Maine! Maine!

Let us bring Maine home to you from Out of the Fog. But remember, photograph identification may be required if you’re from away and want to get married in Maine, not to register your boat or snowmobile though…just pay the tax.

My new year’s holiday began from Dec.28, 2007,

until back to work again tomorrow, this is the longest holiday in recent years.

Today must concentrate and let my heart come back.

I made this home-made mix fruits salad,

various color bring in good mood.

Tomorrow must wake up early to go to work,

must have new hard working spirit in a new year!

Still, encourage myself to have confidence in whatever situation when face,

moreover, work hard and hard!

Pour ce 31, nous avons décidé de nous rendre à Amsterdam (Hollande).

C’est à quatre que nous avons envahi les lieux vers 20 h 30.

On cherche un petit resto sympa, que l’on trouve non loin du centre !!!

Ce sera Italien au menu ( on en reparle très vite …)

Fin du repas et de mon assiette de pâtes au saumon…., nous nous rendons ensuite sur la grand place d’Amsterdam.

Une grande scène y est installée ainsi qu’un écran géant. Je suis un peu étonné du climat ambient, non pas qu’il soit mauvais au contraire il est parfait. Ce qui est plutôt impressionnat, c’est que contrairement à la France, Amsterdam regroupe une multitude de pays et bien que les gens ne parlent pas la même langue, tous communiquent les uns avec les autres sans difficultés. Je trouve que les français ont du mal à communiquer entre eux (on en reparle dans un prochain post).

Parmi ces pays, il y avait énormement d’Allemand, d’anglais, des américains, asiatiques etc…

En générale des jeunes motivés à faire la fête et qui n’hésitent pas à faire du chemin pour s’amuser.

L’endroit est certainement plus propice que Paris (en hollande les prix sont légérement moins cher, la police moins présente et l’ambiance est plus déluré voir extravagante).

Les allemands m’ont donné la meilleure impression et je pense me rendre à Berlin pour le réveillon de 2009.

D’ailleurs si des gens connaissent des opérateurs !!!

Pour revenir à ma soirée, après l’apothèose de minuit direction les rues d’amsterdam, on savait pertinement que la ville était grande mais de là à ne trouver qu’une seule boite !!

eh oui on a jamais trouvé l’eldorado (c’est pas le nom de la boite biensûr), de plus quand on demande de l’aide aux commerçants ils nous renvoient vers les taxi !!!

et les taxi, quand à eux, nous demandent 10 par personnes et pour quelques minutes de trajet.

Nous avons donc cherché pas nos propres moyens, pendant des heures et on a rien à eu à se mettre sous la dent ….

Amsterdam is so big !!!

5h du mat on décide de retourner au parking (précaution oblige), arrivé 5 h 20 au parking et obligation d’attendre l’ouverture prévue à 6 h !!!! et dans le froid

Petit conseil pour revenir de Hollande, il est préférable de s’arrêter ans un aire de repos pour dormir quelques heures.

C’est ce que l’on fait mes compagnons, en revanche moi j’ai dérrouillé sévère !!

le parmesan devait être périmé etje vous laisse imaginer la suite…..

A ce jour je suis toujours malade !!!!

Bien qu’on ait pas trouvé de quoi faire la fête je garde un bon souvenir car le principal c’est d’avoir passé le réveillon en bonne compagnie et d’aborder 2008 avec la santé, la famille, les amis et des objectifs

ข้ามพ้นปีเก่า เข้าสู่ปีใหม่กันแล้ว ปีใหม่นี้ แม่แอนไม่ได้ไปเที่ยวไหนล่ะคะ  แม่แอนไปทำบุญสวดมนต์ข้ามปีที่สถานปฎิบัติธรรม ยุวพุทธิกสมาคมแห่งประเทศไทย ตรงข้ามฟิวเจอร์ปาร์คบางแคค่ะ ไม่น่าเชื่อนะคะ ว่าเดี๋ยวนี้ คนไปเที่ยวปีใหม่กันด้วยการไปปฎิบัติธรรมและสวดมนต์กันเยอะทีเดียวค่ะ จากที่ทราบจำนวน โดยประมาณ 1,300 คนค่ะ  เพื่อนๆพอจะนึกภาพออกกันไหมคะ คนที่ไปร่วมงาน ล้วนใส่ชุดขาวทั้งเสืิ้อขาวและกางเกงขาว ทุกคนยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส หน้าตาเบิกบาน มีความสุขกันค่ะ เหมือนกับอยู่บนสวรรค์เลยค่ะ แต่เนื่องจากคนเยอะ อาคารสถานที่อาจค่อนข้างแออัดหน่อย ก็ช่วยเหลือกันไปค่ะ เราไปร่วมบุญกัน ก็ต้องใจเย็นเข้ากันไว้ค่ะ ระหว่างวัน จะมีกิจกรรมการฟังธรรมจากพระอาจารย์ จากวัดนาคปรกค่ะ เราก็ว่า สงสัยคงจะหลับแน่เลยนะเนียเรา ปรากฎว่า พระอาจารย์องค์นี้ยิ้มเก่งมาก เข้ามาเริ่มต้นพูดก็ยิ้มไป เล่าเรื่องที่ท่านไปฝึกสอนกรรมฐานที่ต่างประเทศว่า เด็กลูกครึ่งมาฝึกกับท่าน ก็ปรามาสท่านว่า ไม่เชื่อถือ จะต่อต้านไม่ตั้งใจฝึก ท่านอาจารย์ก็ไม่ว่าอะไร เวลาเจอหน้าทีไร ท่านอาจารย์ก็ยิ้มให้เด็กลูกครึ่งคนนั้น ตื่นเช้ามาก็ Good Morning นะ แล้วก็ยิ้มให้ เป็นเช่นนี้โดยตลอด สุดท้ายก่อนจบคอร์สการฝึก เด็กลูกครึ่งคนนั้นก็มากราบพระอาจารย์และก็กล่าวว่า ขอโทษที่พูดจาไม่ดีตอนแรก แต่ทำไมท่านอาจารย์จึงยิ้มให้ตลอด ท่านอาจารย์ก็ว่า อาจารย์ไม่มีเรื่องโกรธเคืองใดกับศิษย์ จึงไม่มีเหตุอันใดที่จะไม่ยิ้มให้ การยิ้มมีแต่ผลดีที่จะเกิดขึ้น คือ เป็นการผูกมิตร ลดศัตรูที่จะเกิดขึ้น ออกกำลังกายบริเวณหน้า ทำให้ตนเองจิตใจแจ่มใส และ ทำให้ผู้อื่่นจิตใจแจ่มใสด้วย เมื่อเรายิ้ม ทำให้เรามีความสุข จิตใจเบิกบาน ก็จะทำให้เราคิดแต่สิ่งที่ดี พูดแต่สิ่งที่ดี ทำให้มีแต่สิ่งดีๆเข้ามาหาเรา มีแต่คนดีๆ ที่จะเข้ามาหาเรา  เมื่อเด็กลูกครึ่งลูกศิษย์ได้ฟัง ก็ยิ้มแย้มกล่าวขอบคุณ และจะขอตั้งใจฝึกในช่วงท้ายก่อนจบคอร์สนี้อย่างดี สุดท้ายแล้ว เด็กลูกครึ่งคนนั้น เมื่อโตขึ้น ก็ประสบความสำเร็จในการทำงานและชีวิตส่วนตัว ได้รับเกียรติบัตรเป็นพลเมืองดีจากท่านประธานาธิบดีของประเทศอเมริกาในขณะนั้น และยังไดัรับรางวัลเกียรติคุณอื่นๆตามมาด้วยค่ะ  ท่านอาจารย์จึงสอนว่า ให้ยิ้มเก่งเข้าไว้ และสิ่งต่างๆจะดีตามมาเอง การยิ้มถือเป็นการพัฒนาจิตใจเราให้ดีขึ้น ให้มีความสุข ดังนั้น ข้ามปีใหม่กันมาแล้ว แม่แอนก็ขอให้ทุกคนมีความสุขนะคะ ยิ้มเข้าไว้กับทุกสถานการณ์และ ปัญหาต่างๆก็จะคลี่คลายไปได้ค่ะ ไม่มีเรื่องใดเป็นเรื่องใหญ่ค่ะ ถ้าเราค่อยๆคิดและค่อยๆหาสาเหตุของปัญหาให้เจอก่อน แก้ที่ต้นปมของปัญหา แก้ไปทีละเปลาะ ทีละเปลาะ สุดท้ายก็คลายปมได้ค่ะ เชื่อเแม่แอนเถอะค่ะ ทุกเรื่องเป็นเรื่องเล็กและ เรื่องธรรมดาๆ ปัญหามีไว้ให้แก้ และให้เรียนรู้คะ สุดท้ายก็ฝากไว้เรื่องยิ้ม ยิ้ม ยิ้มนะคะ วันนี้ คุณตื่นมาตอนเช้า ได้ยิ้มแล้วหรือยังคะ “อรุณสวัสดิ์ดีค่ะ” ทุกคน
